#RHOA: Fans demand return of NeNe and Porsha after 'pointless' season 14 finale airs

The RHOA season 14 finale aired on Sunday night, yet fans are begging for the return of their favorite alums to heat up next season.

Part 3 of the RHOA season 14 finale saw the housewives continue to address their sassy remarks. Then the husbands arrived to share their two cents on what went down during the season.

Even with the fellas’ input, the finale still wasn’t a big hit with fans as they’ve now called on Bravo to ring up former housewives NeNe Leakes and Porsha Williams to spice things up.

OG member NeNe left the show for good in season 12, and the latter exited a year later. The friends had a feud on NeNe’s final season, but they’ve been on good terms for at least a year after the pair reunited at NeNe’s birthday bash in December 2021.

NeNe and Porsha were known for their loud and wild personalities and that’s what’s missing in the last couple of seasons, according to viewers. Despite season 14’s countless jaw-dropping moments, the fan base claim the reunion was dragged out for too many episodes.

Would anyone like a RHOA season 1 – 13 binge?

One complained: “My Gawd, this has been the most pointless season and reunion in RHOA history.” Ouch, the fanbase are a tough crowd.

“This season was okay,” another reviewed. “But they could’ve gone without a reunion or just did a one-part reunion and called it a day. They just dragged this out and wasted everybody’s time.”

A third commented: “RHOA has been trash ALL SEASON! It’ll probably be the best tonight at the reunion finale cause the REAL WOMEN ARE FILMING! The husbands!”

“If Bravo wants to save RHOA & make it one of the top shows again, they need to bring Nene & Porsha back – immediately. Make amends now,” a user wrote.

Family of Jeffrey Dahmer Victim Slams ‘Cruel’ Netflix Series: ‘Retraumatizing Over and Over Again’

True-crime TV audiences seem to have an endless appetite, but the true-crime victims have had more than enough. Eric Perry, cousin of Jeffrey Dahmer victim Errol Lindsey, spoke out on Twitter to express his discomfort with “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s new Netflix series that stars Evan Peters as the infamous serial killer.

“I’m not telling anyone what to watch, I know true crime media is huge rn, but if you’re actually curious about the victims, my family (the Isbell’s) are pissed about this show,” he wrote. “Recreating my cousin having an emotional breakdown in court in the face of the man who tortured and murdered her brother is WILD.”

Perry also noted that because the murders are public record, producers of true crime shows are not required to notify the families of the victims they portray. Perry says that nobody from “Monster” contacted his family, and that they found out about the show at the same time as everyone else.

“So when they say they’re doing this ‘with respect to the victims’ or ‘honoring the dignity of the families,’ no one contacts them,” he wrote. “My cousins wake up every few months at this point with a bunch of calls and messages and they know there’s another Dahmer show. It’s cruel.”

The show’s production team has defended the project, saying that the goal was never to humanize Dahmer but instead to show the perspectives of the victims and explain the ways that race and sexuality informed the killings.

“We had one rule going into this from Ryan [Murphy], that it would never be told from Dahmer’s point of view,” Peters said in a promotional video. “It’s called ‘The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,’ but it’s not just him and his backstory: It’s the repercussions, it’s how society and our system failed to stop him multiple times because of racism, homophobia. It’s just a tragic story.”

Still, Perry doesn’t think that those efforts were enough to justify the show’s existence.

“It’s retraumatizing over and over again, and for what?” he wrote. “How many movies/shows/documentaries do we need?

SiriusXM and ESPN suspend Brett Favre programming as welfare scandal intensifies

Two of Brett Favre's weekly shows have reportedly been suspended due to the former quarterback's alleged entanglement in a welfare fraud case unfolding in Mississippi.

ESPN paused "The Brett Favre Show" podcast last week, the network confirmed with CBS MoneyWatch, and SiriusXM did the same for Favre's weekly radio show, The Athletic tweeted Sunday. ESPN and SiriusXM didn't immediately respond to requests for comment Monday.

Favre's lawyer Paul "Bud" Holmes didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

The suspensions come months after Favre was mentioned in an audit of Mississippi's state budget. An auditor found state officials redirected more than $70 million in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families welfare funds last year to Favre and other individuals instead of giving the money to low-income families. State officials, more specifically, used a nonprofit organization to funnel $1.1 million to Favre as a stipend to perform speeches that he never gave, Mississippi auditor Shad White found.

In an October 2021 Facebook post, Favre said he has started repaying the money to the state. Favre also said in the post that he didn't know the money came from welfare funds.

As I have said before, I would never accept money for no-show appearances, as the state of Mississippi auditor, Shad...

The Mississippi Department of Human Services has filed a lawsuit against Favre, three former pro wrestlers and several other people and businesses to try to recover millions in welfare dollars. The lawsuit alleges that Favre, former WWE star Ted "the Million Dollar Man" DiBiase and others "squandered" more than $20 million intended for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families anti-poverty program.

Court documents related to the case show a string of text messages that suggest former Gov. Phil Bryant was "on board" with Favre getting the speech money. The text message chain was between Favre and Nancy New, the executive director of the Mississippi Community Education Center.

New and Favre discussed a payment arrangement coming from the Mississippi Department of Human Services through her nonprofit, with Favre then saying he would direct the money to the volleyball facility at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Favre, who played 20 seasons in the NFL, and Bryant, who left office in 2020, are both USM alums. Favre's daughter, Breleigh, began playing volleyball at the school in 2017. His daughter was the fourth winningest beach volleyball player in USM's history, according to Sports Illustrated. She transferred to LSU in August 2022.

Neither Favre nor Bryant have been charged in the welfare misspending case.

John Davis, who ran Mississippi's human services department and was appointed by Bryant, pleaded guilty last week on federal conspiracy charges of misspending tens of millions of dollars. Davis, who was the human services executive director from February 2016 through July 2019, will be sentenced next year.

It was 'much too soon' to recast T'Challa in Black Panther sequel Says Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige

Ever since the blockbuster success of Marvel's first Black Panther movie in 2018, the Wakandan warrior T'Challa has become one of the most famous superheroes in the world. That made it all the more tragic when Chadwick Boseman, the actor who brought the character to the global stage, died of cancer in 2020. Now, mere months away from the release of highly anticipated sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige explained in a new interview why he and director Ryan Coogler decided not to recast the role with a different actor.

"It just felt like it was much too soon to recast," Feige told Empire. "Stan Lee always said that Marvel represents the world outside your window. And we had talked about how, as extraordinary and fantastical as our characters and stories are, there's a relatable and human element to everything we do. The world is still processing the loss of Chad. And Ryan poured that into the story."

As the San Diego Comic-Con trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever made clear, the film is reckoning head-on with Boseman's death and T'Challa's absence. Supporting characters from the first film like T'Challa's sister Shuri (Letitia Wright), bodyguard Okoye (Danai Gurira), and lover Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o) will take center stage this time around, as Wakanda has to meet a challenge from Atlantis and its king, Namor (Tenoch Huerta).

"The conversations were entirely about, yes, 'What do we do next?'" Feige said to Empire. "And how could the legacy of Chadwick – and what he had done to help Wakanda and the Black Panther become these incredible, aspirational, iconic ideas – continue? That's what it was all about."

The trailer ended with a teasing glimpse of a hand unsheathing claws. So will any of those aforementioned characters follow in T'Challa's footsteps as the new Black Panther, hero of Wakanda? Shuri became Black Panther for a time in Marvel comics, but the characters have also changed significantly from their source material, so anything is possible.

Why Sharon Osbourne Still Says Her Firing From The Talk Was “Unfair”

During an appearance on Fox & Friends Weekends on Sept. 25, Osbourne addressed her firing from the CBS daytime chat show The Talk in March 2021, which came after her staunch defense of controversial comments made by Piers Morgan about Meghan Markle.

"I've worked in this industry for 50 years, actually, 55," Osbourne said. "I didn't want that to be the end of my career, and I thought it was unfair."

At the time, Osbourne stood up for her friend Morgan who, after Markle's headline-making primetime interview with Oprah Winfrey, argued that Markle could have been lying about her struggles with mental health, saying, "I wouldn't believe it if [Markle] read me the weather report."

The Talk co-host Sheryl Underwood deemed Morgan's comments "racist," which culminated in a heated on-air discussion. Osbourne ultimately left the show weeks later after an internal review.

"[Piers] is not racist. I'm not racist. But because he said something about somebody who is mixed race, is that the right word?" Osbourne questioned during her Fox & Friends appearance. "He's deemed racist and that's not fair."

The internal review also uncovered allegations made by former The Talk co-host Holly Robinson-Peete, who alleged Osbourne called her "too ghetto" for the chat show, and former co-host Leah Remini, who alleged Osbourne frequently use racially-charged language when referencing host Julie Chen Moonves.

Osbourne denied all allegations made against her, with her rep Howard Bragman saying in a statement to E! News, "The only thing worse than a disgruntled former employee is a disgruntled former talk show host."

When asked by Fox & Friends co-host Pete Hegseth if Osbourne thought thought the Morgan discussion was an "ambush," she responded, "Of course it was. Why would you advertise that we're talking about this, that and the other and suddenly it's 20 minutes of me?"

During her appearance on the morning show, a clip was aired from Osbourne's new four-part Fox Nation docuseries To Hell & Back, which further detailed her departure from The Talk.

"I was this lamb that was slaughtered that morning, and CBS denied responsibility on the news," Osbourne argued. "That's because they're wankers and a--holes."

In the series, Osbourne also received support from her son Jack Osbourne, who stood up for his mother.

"You can get ganged up on on live television and when you go to defend yourself against accusations, you get fired for creating a hostile work environment," he said. "This is the world we live in today."

Oprah Winfrey and Apple TV+ end their multiyear content deal

Oprah Winfrey and Apple TV+ are ending their multiyear content partnership deal.

According to Puck News, both Winfrey and Apple TV+ have confirmed the split but declined to comment about it. The deal was first signed in January 2018 and had the media icon and the streaming service producing projects including film, TV shows, applications, books and more as part of Apple’s original content release.

The news comes a couple days after the premiere of the documentary Sidney, a collaboration between Winfrey and Apple TV+ focusing on the life of legendary actor Sidney Poitier. The documentary was directed by Reginald Hudlin, produced by Winfrey and debuted Friday (Sept. 23) on the streaming service.

Although the contract has ended, both parties may still work together on a project-to-project basis, according to reports. Additionally, the pair will continue their collaboration on “Oprah’s Book Club,” which is available on Apple Books as well as OprahDaily.com.

Winfrey’s deal with Apple TV+ has yielded the documentary series “The Me You Can’t See,” a partnership with Prince Harry focusing on mental health, as well as “The Oprah Conversation,” a series of discussions with newsmakers. Some of her biggest projects outside of her work with the streaming service includes her exclusive interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and with Adele in Adele: One Night Only, both of which aired on CBS. She’s done a project for Smithsonian Channel and also continues her work as chief of OWN (The Oprah Winfrey Network), which is the home for Ava DuVernay’s hit drama series “Queen Sugar.” Winfrey founded the cable channel with Discovery Communications, which just renewed its contract with the mogul through to 2025.

Floyd Mayweather set to fight Deji in November

Floyd Mayweather’s boxing tour officially continues. Earlier today (Sept. 26), YouTube star Deji and the Global Titans promotion announced that he will be next to go up against the legendary, undefeated boxer. The showdown will take place on Nov. 13 at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.

“Huge thanks to Global Titans and my team for creating this incredible opportunity,” said Deji via press release. “It’s a privilege to be headlining this phenomenal spectacle in Dubai against the all-time great Floyd Mayweather. This is going to be fun!”

Deji has competed in four exhibition boxing matches. The 25-year-old social media sensation scored his first win this past August when he defeated his opponent Fousey in the third round. The event was also headlined by his older brother, KSI.

The new announcement also arrived just a day after Mayweather defeated Mikuru Asakura. Yesterday (Sept. 25), the 45-year-old retired star stopped Asakura at the end of the second round on the Rizin Fighting Federation card in Saitama, bringing home another TKO victory.

In related news, Mayweather whose record is a pristine 50-0 and 27 KOs, was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame earlier this year. The achievement was honored at the Banquet of Champions in the Turning Stone Resort and Casino on June 11. The moment was immensely emotional for the boxing legend, as he cried for nearly two minutes before being able to start his speech.

Kevin McHale Shares His Thoughts About Lea Michele in 'Funny Girl'

Kevin McHale is opening up about his former Glee co-star Lea Michele and her new role in Funny Girl.

While speaking with E! News about Lea‘s new Broadway role, the 34-year-old actor said the actress was extremely talented.

“She’s obviously extremely, extremely talented,” he said. “I’m sure she’s f***ing phenomenal in it. Are you kidding me? She could do the role in her sleep.”

Kevin says he probably won’t be going to see Lea in the role, though.

“I don’t have any plans [to go],” Kevin said, adding that he hasn’t actually “talked to her in a while, to be honest.”

If you recall, Lea took over the role after Beanie Feldstein‘s departure from the production.

Kim Kardashian celebrated with pasta at Dolce & Gabbana fashion party

Khloé Kardashian and Michele Morrone may have had tongues wagging at Dolce & Gabanna’s Milan Fashion Week show on Saturday, but Kim Kardashian, and pasta, stole the show.

Kim debuted her collection with the Italian fashion house, and attendees watched “a 20 minute video” of her eating pasta in slow motion for the runway show. Sources told us the pasta theme continued at an afterparty.

The party was decked out with food stands “all named after Kim.”

“Everything was named after her. The cannolis, things like Kimycello,” a take on Italian liquor limoncello, a source told us.

The crowd was so excited by Kim’s presence, “it felt like it was her first time in Milan. You can tell they weren’t used to seeing her. Everyone was psyched,” a source said.

DJ Cassidy spun tunes at the bash, and Kim entered the room to Beyoncé and Madonna’s “Break My Soul: The Queen’s Remix” playing, which had Khloé, La La Anthony and Kris Jenner showing off their moves in a VIP area, according to another partygoer.

At one point in the evening, “Italian waiters started serving pasta throughout the whole room, and Kim started passing pasta out on the dancefloor,” the first source said.

The Kardashian crew also had a private dinner back at the designers’ Martini restaurant and bar in between the show and the party, we’re told. Khloé was there and sparked dating buzz after taking a photo with Italian actor Michele Morrone. But, “it felt like a soft launch, not a hard launch,” our source said about any romance rumors.

What do you think? Post a comment.

“It looked like they were together, but they weren’t making out, or on top of each other, or anything like that,” they said.

A rep for Morrone told us they are not dating. Meanwhile, Khloé has not commented. But a source told us: “They just met a the show for the first time.”

Podcaster Says Beyoncé Is Overrated & That Lady Gaga Is More Iconic

A podcaster is going viral after she claimed that Beyoncé is overrated and that Lady Gaga is more iconic!

The hosts of the ‘PlanBri Uncut’ podcast have officially set the internet on fire after uploaded a super controversial clip coming for Beyoncé.

The viral clip opens with one of the hosts saying, “Beyoncé is overrated.” A second host immediately adds, “Yes, she is. A lot of people are going to hate that one.” The initial host then adds, “Yup, but Beyoncé is overrated. Yeah, she’s good. She’s Beyoncé.”

A third host then interjects, “Can I just say one thing? First off that hurts my heart. Second of all, you need to go home and you need to watch Beyoncé’s Netflix documentary.”

Now earlier this year, Beyoncé was also dragged into another controversial conversation, when another podcaster claimed Bey stole Amerie’s sound. Why do folks keep coming for Queen Bey?

Jupiter Closest It’s Been to Earth in Nearly 60 Years

Jupiter is closer than it’s been in decades. Earlier this month, NASA informed the planet that “excellent views of Jupiter” should be expected for the evening of Sept. 26. Per the space-focused agency, this is due to what’s known as opposition, i.e. the moment at which Earth is directly between the Sun and another planet.

“At its closest approach, Jupiter will be approximately 367 million miles in distance from Earth, about the same distance it was in 1963,” a NASA rep said at the time.

Buzz Aldrin, former Apollo 11 astronaut, said Monday everyone still stuck on Earth may notice Jupiter looking “unusually bright and large in the sky,” all while making its closest approach in 59 years.

Starting Monday evening, experts advise, us mere earthlings will potentially be able to get a proper glimpse at the gas giant. All you’ll need, at least according to NASA, is a “good” pair of binoculars.

Of course, this Jupiter-centered development is merely the latest example of space’s repeatedly proven awesomeness.

Charlamagne Tha God Addresses Rumor Remy Ma Will Replace Angela Yee on ‘The Breakfast Club’

In an interview with TDE signee Doechii on The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne Tha God denied that Remy Ma will be replacing Angela Yee as one of his co-hosts when she leaves the show.

“So where’s Angela?” Doechii asked at the 33:05 point of the interview, as seen above. “She’s not here, she’s actually in Chicago,” replied DJ Envy, to which Doechii asked why the long-time co-host is leaving the show. “She got her own show,” both Charlamagne and Envy said.

“Why did she get her own show? What did you guys do?” Doechii asked with a smile. “Nothing!” said Charlamagne. “She got her own show, she comes on right after us [so] it’s like a spin-off.”

That’s when Doechii asked how he feels about the situation as a whole. “I don’t think I’m happy or sad but I do realize that we built something really really really great together,” he said.

Envy added that he’s “sad” about Yee’s departure because of how long they’ve worked together. “I haven’t unpacked it yet, but I don’t—sad isn’t what I feel. But I do feel something,” he said. “I’m happy for her but I’m happy for the culture of radio as well, because I feel her being in the midday brings more personality to radio, and we get the opportunity to bring in some new talent.”

Doechii then said that she heard a rumor that Remy Ma will be filling Yee’s shoes, which  the two co-hosts immediately shot it down.

“No, that’s not true,” said Charlamagne. “That’s a random rumor.” The two joked that Doechii could host the show with them, but she admitted she would play her own records.

In a recent interview, Charlamagne said that his current contract with Power 105.1 FM lasts until 2025, so he’ll be sticking around for at least a few more years. He also confirmed that there will be a new co-host joining in the future.

“Angela Yee can’t be replaced, but we are a club. So that club has to expand and we’re going to bring in new members,” he said. “So if people are wondering, are there going to be new members in The Breakfast Club? Yes.”

Yee announced she would be departing The Breakfast Club back in August. She’s set to launch a new show with iHeartRadio before the end of the year.

City of Atlanta Buys Old Brick Company Site Where Black Convicts Worked for Free and Died

Right now, it looks like an old, abandoned brickyard, but the old Chattahoochee Brick Company site holds a history mired in blood, sweat, and tears.

“This is the location of the Chattahoochee Brick Company. It was owned by one of the former mayors of Atlanta,” said Kwame-Osheyefo Kalimara, an attendee at the ceremony Saturday.

The company used the convict leasing system, forcing African-Americans to work in horrible conditions, with no regard for their health.

“It filled a lot of pockets of the corporations that also did business with the mayor. Some of the people who were leased here were actually buried here,” said Kalimara.

The city of Atlanta bought the property and held a ceremony commemorating the achievement on Saturday. The city will create a park at the site, with direct access to the Chattahoochee River.

“The bricks were built on the blood and sweat of people who did not have a choice to work here,” said attendee Patricia Burns.

The site was initially zoned for industrial use, but now the city will preserve it. Mayor Andre Dickens said he will be thinking of some ways to reimagine the space and to pay homage to the deceased.

“American history is also painful and this is one way we can reconcile with our past and build unity,” said Burns.

Different Strokes Star Todd Bridges Ties The Knot With Designer Bettigo B. Hirschi

Different Strokes star Todd Bridges has officially tied the knot with designer Bettijo B. Hirschi.

The couple celebrated their union with a small ceremony with just their “closest friends and family” at the Greyston Mansion and Gardens in Beverly Hills.

Bridges said it was special to marry “somebody that I’m madly in love with.”

According to reports, Hirschi walked down the aisle and gown that she designed herself.

“I tried to find something off-the-rack that I could wear, and I just wasn’t seeing what I wanted because I wanted more coverage,” she says. “I like classic beauty channeling from older eras, like Audrey Hepburn. So that’s what I was really inspired by.”

“It was all satin, and it was a fitted bodice with a square neck,” Hirschi adds. “And then I have long legs, so I did a split skirt that was kind of like a wrap. And then for the ceremony, I had an 80-inch satin train and then a 200-inch-long veil.”

The wedding reception featured a first dance to Etta James‘ “At Last,” which took place at a local Italian restaurant after the ceremony. Hirschi claims the song holds special meaning for the couple since “we both went through a lot before finding each other.”

“We kind of both had given up on finding something this great, and we were super surprised to be able to have it kind of given to us, and we feel like God had a hand in bringing us together, she adds. “We feel so blessed.”

Bridges, who divorced in 2012, met his new wife through a mutual friend in March of this year.

“We met through a friend that I’ve [known] for a long time named Mandy,” Bridges shares. “I was supposed to actually be setting her up with someone else, but it didn’t go that way. When I met her, I was like, ‘I’m not going to set her up with anyone else. I want her for myself.’ “

Bridges told PEOPLE that he knew the perfect place to propose was by the ocean.

“I’d just all of a sudden decided that I wanted to get married to her, and I proposed to her. It was a really nice day, it was really good weather, and she loved going to the beach,” he shares. “So we were on the beach, and I decided to propose to her. I got down on one knee and did what I was supposed to do.”

For the honeymoon, the couple intends to visit Hawaii and be right back on the beach.
