Kenya joined Shereé and Rawan while they were trying to cast models for the event and she didn't exactly align with the way the process was going down... and she let Rawan know that. From there, Rawan also voiced her opinion on the matter, leading to a shady back-and-forth between the duo.

Well, Kenya and Shereé are dishing all about the unforgettable moment in The Real Housewives of Atlanta After Show, above. And, in addition to looking back, Kenya also revealed a surprising update on where she stands with Rawan today.

#MusicNews: #RIP:The King of the Hammond B3 Organ Philadelphia Legend Joey DeFrancesco has Died (1971-2022)

The American composer and multi-instrumentalist Joey DeFrancesco, known for his work in re-introducing the organ in contemporary jazz, has died aged 51. Born in Pennsylvania, 1971, to a musical family, DeFrancesco would continue the family lineage and be the fourth generation of jazz musicians; Joey was named after his grandfather, saxophonist and clarinettist Joseph DeFrancesco, while his father “Papa” John DeFrancesco was also an organist who was a recipient of the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame’s ‘Living Legend’ award in 2013. This early start and creative environment quickly fostered his creativity, and by the age of just 10 he was a regular at a Philadelphia jazz club alongside the likes of Hank Mobley and Philly Joe Jones, even playing opening sets for Wynton Marsalis and B.B. King.

DeFrancesco recorded over 30 albums under his own name during his lifetime – even winning the DownBeat Critics Poll eleven times over – on top of innumerable sideman gigs including big-name jazzmen like Miles Davis and John McLaughlin. Though much of his legacy as an instrumentalist often concerns his organ playing, which remained his main instrument, DeFrancesco was also an impressive saxophonist and trumpet player, and even performed as a singer from around 2018. He recorded prolifically even in the last few years of his life, with releases including 2018’s You’re Driving Me Crazy (a collaboration with Van Morrison), the spiritually-tinged In the Key of the Universe and just last year releasing More Music. DeFrancesco is survived by his wife and manager Gloria, and their two children.

#HipHopNews: Diddy And Dr. Dre Hit The Studio For The First Time

Diddy and Dr. Dre are making hip-hop history. The music icons came together in the studio for the first time last night. Dre coached Diddy through vocals while collaborating on Dre’s upcoming album with Snoop Dogg, who also took part in the studio session.

Producing with Dre was a dream come true for Diddy, who recalled the unforgettable experience.

“Yesterday, one of my biggest dreams finally came true,” he captioned his IG post. “I remember the first time I heard @DrDre’s production. It gave me clear direction on the level of Producer that I wanted to be. Last night, I got the chance to work with this man and to see his genius as he coached me through vocals. He reminded me of myself, but with a different style and way more focused.”

The studio session inspired Diddy to go harder. “I gotta step my focus up! lol,” he added. “But it was a great experience and I thank God for it. I hope one day ya’ll get to have the same experience with someone that you always looked up to as a hero.”

Puff has been in the lab working on his own album, which will be released on his new R&B label, Love Records. He recently shared a dance instructional video for his single “Gotta Move On,” which inspired Yung Miami to learn the choreography.

Dre has been busier than ever since surviving a brain aneurysm in early 2020. He recently revealed that he recorded 247 songs during the pandemic. In addition to a joint project with Snoop, he and Marsha Ambrosius are teaming up for Casablanco. Plus, he is working on music for the Marvin Gaye biopic What’s Going On.

“Drake reached out to see how she was doing and where her head was at, and she responded.”

The source, claiming to be a close friend of Drake, continued:

“They’ve been DMing each other back and forth, and are planning to meet up soon.”

The source explained:

“Drake has a way of wearing women down. They might not at first expect any romance with Champagne Papi but, before long, it always ends up that way.”

According to reports, on May 27 Pedro Jimeno filed for divorce from 90 day Fiance’s Chantel Everett after being married for six years. Pedro Jimeno requested that the judge approve an emergency motion to make his estranged wife refund the $257,000 she allegedly transferred from their joint business account into her personal bank account back in April.

Nicole Brown Simpson’s sister slams Chris Rock over joke about her murder

Nicole Brown Simpson’s sister, Tanya, slammed comedian Chris Rock Wednesday over an insensitive joke he made about her sister’s murder.

Tanya Brown told TMZ that the joke wasn’t only not funny, but it didn’t make sense.

The 57-year-old comedian was performing in Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday when he revealed that he was asked to host the 2023 Oscars after he was slapped by Will Smith.

Rock then said that he would not go back to the Academy Awards because it would be like asking Nicole Simpson “to go back to the restaurant” where she left her eyeglasses before she was killed.

Simpson was killed in 1994, at age 35, in a brutal double homicide. Her ex-husband O.J. Simpson was accused of the murders and stood trial in a spectacle that captivated the nation, and he was famously acquitted.

Brown said that equating getting slapped at the Oscars to a double murder is “apples to oranges,” TMZ reported.

Simpson’s sister told the outlet that the pain from the murder is still fresh for several surviving family members and that jokes like this still hit close to home — and hurt.

Chris Rock was performing at a Arizona theater when he made the controversial remarks.

Rock received backlash for the joke with several fans saying it was insensitive, too.

“The more Chris Rock talks, the more you begin to see why Will Smith smacked fire outta him,” tweeted one user.

“Comparing what happened to him to what happened to Nicole Brown Simpson is truly tasteless and not at all funny,” said another.

Tanya Brown also told TMZ that she belives Rock could have picked another punchline to drive home his point — and also believes comedians, including Rock, “should be held accountable.”

The Fugees Reportedly Canceled Their Reunion Tour Because Pras Was Indicted For Money Laundering

These days, it seems like rappers are always in some sort of legal trouble, much of it pertaining to their lyrics if not accusations of legitimate criminal activity. But Pras Michael, 1/3 of ’90s icons Fugees, is currently facing trial for charges that might very well be completely unprecedented in the rap business. A new report from Puck.News via Consequence detailing the case seems to also suggest that Michel’s indictment was actually one of the key reasons behind the cancelation of the trio’s 2021 reunion tour — which they’d originally attributed to logistical issues caused by COVID-19.

As reported in 2019, Pras was indicted on charges of conspiracy, making a false statement, and two counts of falsifying records after making contributions to Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign on behalf of Malaysian businessman, Jho Low. Low — who is currently a fugitive from his own home government — is notorious for stealing $4.5 billion from Malaysia’s 1Malaysia Development Berhad sovereign wealth fund, using the money to fund a lavish lifestyle that included partying with celebrities like Michel, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Paris Hilton and financing Hollywood films such as The Wolf Of Street.

Authorities allege that Pras set up bank accounts to help Low move money into the States in order to influence officials overseeing the criminal investigation into Low’s misuse of 1MDB funds. According to Puck.News, the Justice Department told Pras not to leave the country, which effectively put the kibosh on the Fugees’ plans for a world tour. Pras’ trial is set for November 4 in Washington, DC, and his defense — led by David Kenner, who successfully defended Snoop Dogg from a murder charge in 1996 — will argue that the rapper has been unfairly singled out while others are being let off the hook.

He also maintains that his old entertainment lawyer, whom he’d consulted on the involved business dealings, was also working for the Department of Justice at the time. That old lawyer, George Higginbotham, is now a witness in the trial after being indicted himself, pleading guilty to a lesser charge, and agreeing to cooperate with prosecutors. Pras’ defense now argues that because Higginbotham did not advise Pras to register as a foreign agent, despite consulting on these dealings, the case should be dismissed.

If the government can prove that Pras really did work for Low to influence the 1MDB investigation, and the jury doesn’t eat his excuse that his DOJ-employed legal counsel should have advised him to register as a foreign agent, he could face up to 20 years in prison.

Kanye West Claims Gap Had a Meeting About Him Without Him & Canceled Photo Shoot With His Kids

Kanye West’s relationship with Gap Inc. might be getting a bit “Cold.” The rapper, who now goes by Ye, took aim at the clothing retailer in Instagram posts two days in a row.

In his first post on Tuesday (Aug. 30), the “Eazy” artist, who partnered with the clothing retailer in 2020 for a Yeezy Gap line, shared a photo of what appears to be a pair of oversized mirrored Yeezy Gap sunglasses on a glass table, with dark clothing strewn on a floor behind. “Gap held a meeting about me without me?” he asked in his post.

Less than 24 hours later, he took another shot at the brand. This time, he posted a screenshot of a text thread showing an image of a young man modeling an oversized Gap logo T-shirt, with one text message claiming, “This is Gap copying YGEBB.” (YGEBB is the Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga collaboration.)

The caption of the Wednesday Instagram post, however, was not related to the alleged similarities between a Gap T-shirt and a Yeezy Gap design. Instead, the rapper took issue with how the company allegedly handled a photo shoot with his children. “But they canceled the photo shoot with my kids in Japan without me knowing,” he claimed, not naming which of his four kids was supposed to be involved.

Ye shares North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm with ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

In a second Instagram post on Wednesday, Ye shared a video of himself speaking to a room adorned with images of Yeezy Gap sunglasses, telling the audience about his passion for design and the fashion business, as well as his goals for the collaboration. ” The Vision will be realized Let’s start with stores in Atlanta,” he captioned the video.

Earlier in the month, the rapper-entrepreneur defended his decision to sell his Yeezy Gap collection out of what appeared to be big trash bags, with critics arguing that the marketing concept mocks homelessness and those living in poverty.

“I’m an innovator, and I’m not here to sit up and apologize about my ideas,” he said during an interview with Fox News on Aug. 18, explaining that the bags were actually “construction bags” to make shopping his collection feel more informal. “This is, like, not a joke. This is not a game. This is not just some celebrity collaboration. This is my life, you know? I’m fighting for a position to be able to change clothing and bring the best design to the people.”

Steph Curry graduates from Davidson College and retires his school's jersey

Steph Curry returned to his alma mater in North Carolina, where he was presented with his diploma in sociology.

Steph Curry returned to his alma mater, Davidson College, on Wednesday (Aug. 31), where he received his diploma, a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology.

Steph, who attended the liberal arts college from 2006 to 2009, was honored with a one-person graduation ceremony. He completed his degree in May following a 13-year absence to enter the NBA draft. During his speech, Steph was overcome with emotion as he described his decision to pursue education at Davidson as the best decision of his life.

He also received a retirement ceremony for his No. 30 basketball jersey, becoming the first player at Davidson to receive this honor. The Golden State Warriors star scored more than 2,600 points during his three seasons at the school and became the all-time leading scorer.

Family and friends joined the NBA MVP to celebrate this milestone, including his father, Dell Curry, who took the podium. “This is awesome, man,” Dell said. “This is good stuff here. Coach, this might be the best day ever to be a Wildcat!”

In May, the school released a statement congratulating Steph on his achievement on its official Twitter account. “Stephen Curry has on many occasions emphasized the importance of education, how much he valued his Davidson College experience, and that he is committed to one semester of classwork,” the statement read. “He re-enrolled at Davidson College for the spring semester. He worked with: two members of the Davidson faculty, a Stanford University professor and a UC Santa Cruz professor who taught Stephen when both were at Davidson.”

The press release continues, “He will receive a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in Sociology, with the class of 2022 on Sunday (May 22) but will not attend Commencement. Davidson College looks forward to an opportunity on campus in the future when we can present his diploma.”

Congratulations, Steph!

Nicole Linton reportedly had a "lapse of consciousness” during the deadly Los Angeles crash

Court documents made public yesterday (Aug. 30) suggest Houston travel nurse Nicole Linton may have suffered a mental breakdown just before the fiery Los Angeles car crash that killed five people plus an unborn baby. As previously reported by REVOLT, the devastating collision happened at a gas station at Slauson and South La Brea on Aug. 4.

According to court records obtained by The Los Angeles Times, Linton struggled with bipolar disorder for at least four years before the crash. Documents add that the nurse suffered an “apparent lapse of consciousness” during the deadly collision. Authorities say Linton was traveling at nearly 90 mph when she collided with several other unsuspecting drivers after running a red light. She was charged with six counts of murder, including the unborn child.

On Aug. 6, Dr. William Winter evaluated Linton at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. In his notes, he wrote, “She has no recollection of the events that led to her collision.” Winter added, “The next thing she recalled was lying on the pavement and seeing that her car was on fire.” In a letter to the court, the nurse’s sister, Camille Linton, shared that Nicole’s first mental breakdown was observed in May 2018. Camille claims it was while Nicole was studying to become a nurse anesthetist at the University of Texas in Houston.

“The stress was too much for her and it ‘broke’ her. Thus beginning the journey of Nicole’s four-year struggle with mental illness,” Camille wrote. In May 2018, there was a documented incident of a mental breakdown that involved police officers. Officers were called to her apartment during a panic attack. Nicole ran from the police, jumped on their car and was arrested for disorderly conduct. Days later, she told her family that she was possessed by her deceased grandmother.

Documents add that during another incident, the nurse banged her head into glass at Ben Taub psychiatric hospital while angrily shouting about the United States Supreme Court. Linton required stitches in her forehead. A year later, a neighbor saw her running through her apartment complex naked and alerted her family. Linton’s family had her involuntarily committed to a psychiatric ward.

Linton’s lawyers argued, “In the days and hours leading up to the events of Aug. 4, Nicole’s behavior became increasingly frightening.” The lawyers added, “[Nicole] told her sister that she was flying out to meet her in Houston the next day so she could do her niece’s hair. She also said that she would be getting married and that her sister should meet her at the altar.”

Yesterday, Linton’s attorneys Halim Dhanidina and Jacqueline Sparagna said they believe their client should be “housed in a mental health treatment facility where she can be monitored and treated for her illness.” The nurse has been in jail since the Aug. 4 deadly crash.

Shaquille O’Neal Says He Was ‘Embarrassed’ After Struggling To Help His Son Write A Resumé: ‘I Never Had A Real Job’

Shaquille O’Neal has recounted a moment with his son that left him feeling embarrassed when he struggled to help him write a strong resumé for his first job. The 50-year-old made the comment to Australia’s Sunrise News, saying that since he’s never had to work a regular job in his life, the former NBA star had no clue how he could possibly help his son if he’s never written one himself.

“I am grateful because I realize that the position I am in, in life, is a lucky position. I never had a real job in my life,” the 50-year-old explained. “When I was trying to help my son fill out a resume, I had to call somebody … I couldn’t do it … I was embarrassed.” That’s when host David Koch interjected, reminding O’Neal, “You’ve never had a real job, but you’re almost as comfortable in business as you are on the basketball court … you’ve got an MBA.”

And while O’Neal agreed, having earned his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix in an online course, the New Jersey native does not shy away from the fact that he has an incredible team behind him who evidently help him steer his business in the path of continued success and growth. “The reason why I did that is because I always like to be in charge, but I let other people speak for me, my agents … they think I’m just this dumb jock who has no inclination of what business is. It would just drive me crazy.”

O’Neal will soon be making his return as a co-analyst for NBA on TNT this season and recently made claims of having an interest in purchasing Orlando Magic — the team that had drafted him back in 1992.

In a chat on “The Big Podcast” from June, he shared, ”This message goes out to the DeVos family if you’re ready to sell Orlando Magic, sell it to somebody who’s gonna take it to the next level, that’s us. Listen, we still run that franchise [Magic]. If they wanna sell it to us, DeVos family, we’re ready to go right now.”

In 2018, the official portraits of former President Barack Obama and forever First Lady Michelle Obama were unveiled at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. Now, a documentary about the historic works of art by two Black artists, Kehinde Wiley and Amy Sherald, is coming to the Smithsonian Channel.

Picturing The Obamas will showcase curators, journalists, and critics to “discuss the ways that the pair’s portraits disrupted traditional presidential portraiture and spurred museums to reach new audiences,” Deadline reports. It will also follow the portraits’ journey to various museums across the country.

The film will also highlight the Obamas’ legacies through the lens of everyday people including “a Latina community organizer, a young artist from Southside Chicago, and multigenerational members of the oldest Black sorority as they visit the portraits and reflect on the meaning of the Obamas today.”

Barack and Michelle Obama are set to make an appearance in the film as well.

“Barack and Michelle Obama continue to inspire individuals and communities nationwide. We are honored to have the opportunity to premiere Picturing the Obamas and explore the cultural impact of their portraits at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery and this historic presidency,” said Pamela Aguilar, VP, Content & Programming, Smithsonian Channel, in a statement.

Kim Sajet, Director, Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery, added, “When we unveiled the Obamas’ portraits, everyone in the room knew we were witnessing a moment in history, but I don’t think anyone anticipated the emotional impact these artworks would ultimately have on so many Americans across the country. Through the power of documentary film, Picturing the Obamas takes us out of the gallery and into communities, reminding us that art is powerful and portraiture can change the world.”

Picturing the Obamas premieres on Sept. 10 at 8 p.m. ET.

The series is s based on Buteau’s book of the same name and was created by Buteau and Danielle Sanchez-Witzel. Survival of the Thickest centers on Mavis Beaumont, a Black, plus-size, and newly single (not by her choice!), played by Buteau herself. According to the outlet, she’s described as a New York City woman who always has a fresh luxury manicure and the best day and night serums money can buy. Bell plays Khalil, Mavis’s bestie and since high school. He’s described as a creative and talented artist who has always prided himself on making life choices that keep things simple, affordable – nothing wrong with clipping coupons – and uncomplicated. But now in his very late 30s, he starts to question what really matters and if life is worth complicating for the right person.

Survival Of The Thickest was first announced in January exclusively by Deadline.

“It’s been so damn amazing finding a home with Netflix,” Buteau told the outlet earlier this year. “To say I’m excited to continue my relationship with them is an understatement. I’m over the moon, and I’m under it. Danielle has been a dream partner, and I can’t wait to share what we’ve been cooking up.

Kim Kardashian's Alleged Photoshop Fail Has Social Media Buzzing

A few of Kim Kardashian's recent photos are turning heads for more than one reason.

If you're wondering what the buzz is about, allow us to catch you up: The Kardashians star posted a few pics of herself hanging out by the pool to Instagram on Aug. 16. Following Kim's upload, in a video that has since gone viral, a TikToker accused her of photoshopping the muscle area between her neck and shoulders.

In her clip, TikTok user @caroline_in_thecity showed the results of using a reverse-photoshop method on one of Kim's photos to highlight a possible difference between the photo posted and another without any photoshop. Shortly after the TikTok video was shared, fans took to social media to weigh in on the suggestion.

"The way I've never thought of this," one user commented. Another added, "I can't unsee it once I saw it but I did not see it before." A third chimed in, "Not that big of a deal honestly."

Although Kim hasn't publicly addressed the latest chatter around her recent photos just yet, this isn't the first time the SKIMS founder has been accused of photoshop. In April, Kim addressed photo speculation directly after being accused of editing out her belly button in one picture. "Come on guys…Seriously!" she wrote on her Instagram Stories April 26. "This is so dumb! Claiming I photoshopped out my belly button????"

The following day, Kim also addressed rumors she edited her then-boyfriend Pete Davidson's jawline in a photo from their date night taken in early April. "I didn't realize how much you guys were going to enjoy my Photoshop post," Kim wrote on her Instagram Story on April 27. "If you thought that was good I have so much more... This is fun."

Alongside the pic of the two from their night out, she added, "Hmmm...I guess Pete's jawline is snatched! Snatched to the point u guys thought I photoshopped it!!! One pic he's laughing in mid convo! Wait I did add a grainy filter tho."

But that's not all. In a follow-up video, Kim shared a clip of Pete kissing her on the lips, writing, "How do you photoshop a live photo? Asking for a friend."

‘Harley Quinn’ Renewed for Season 4 at HBO Max With New Showrunner

Harley Quinn is sticking around at HBO Max, with a new person in charge. HBO Max has renewed the (very) adult animated DC series for a fourth season, a few weeks ahead of the Sept. 15 finale for season three. The series will also have a new showrunner in season four: Sarah Peters, who has written for Harley Quinn throughout its run and is currently a consulting producer, will serve as executive producer and showrunner, taking over for Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker.

“Patrick Schumacker, Justin Halpern and their incredible team of artists and writers have created something so explosively funny and original, and we are thrilled to continue this journey with them and the show’s legion of fans,” said Billy Wee, senior vp comedy and animation at HBO Max. “It has been amazing to watch the show grow and evolve this season and we could not ask for a more talented and dedicated team of collaborators.”

Added Peter Girardi, executive vp alternative programming at producer Warner Bros. Animation: “Three seasons down and I can’t even begin to think about the new levels of chaos and trouble that Harley, Ivy and the gang can get into with a fourth season. But I’m grateful to our partners at HBO Max for continuing this insane ride with us so we can all find out.”

Season three of Harley Quinn has followed Harley (voiced by Kaley Cuoco) and Poison Ivy (Lake Bell) as they return to Gotham as the new power couple of DC villainy. “Harlivy” strives to become the best version of themselves while also working towards Ivy’s long desired plan of transforming Gotham into an Eden paradise.

The cast also includes Ron Funches, J.B. Smoove, Alan Tudyk, Matt Oberg, Christopher Meloni, Andy Daly, Diedrich Bader, James Adomian, Sanaa Lathan, Briana Cuoco and Harvey Guillen.

Peters has written several episodes of the series. Her other writing and producing credits include Awkafina Is Nora From Queens, Master of None, Workaholics and Nathan for You.

“We are ecstatic that HBO Max wants the story of Harley and Ivy to continue,” Halpern and Schumacker said in a statement. “And we are equally thrilled that this next season will be in great hands with Sarah Peters as our showrunner and Ceci Aranovich overseeing animation production, as they have both greatly influenced the show with their brilliance since the beginning.”

The renewal for Harley Quinn comes as HBO Max parent Warner Bros. Discovery has been shelving (the Batgirl feature film) or removing titles from the streamer (including Infinity Train, about 200 Sesame Street episodes and a host of others) as it looks to cut costs following the Discovery-WarnerMedia merger. HBO Max laid off 70 staffers earlier this month and is cutting back on kids and family programming, though adult animation appears safe for now.

Halpern and Schumacker developed Harley Quinn with Dean Lorey. The executive producers for season three are Halpern, Schumacker, Kaley Cuoco, Sam Register, Jessica Goldstein and Chrissy Pietrosh.

Miami Socialite J.R. Ridinger Dies Suddenly At 63

Beloved Miami businessman and socialite J.R. Ridinger has died at 63 after suffering a pulmonary embolism on a yacht in Croatia. The Market America founder and his wife, Loren, were fixtures on the city’s social scene and the pair were close with Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, Marc Anthony, Scotty Pippin and the Beckhams, among others.

“While I am unable to speak and I am in shock,” Loren wrote on Facebook, “you should know I am broken. My heart has been ripped out.”

“To clear the rumors that he fell… while on our first vacation in 3 years with [family, J.R.] had a sudden pulmonary embolism that stole him from us. In just a second he was gone. A moment. I beg of you to pray and meditate on him. “

While the Ridingers own the $51 million super yacht Utopia IV, we’re told they were on a chartered boat instead. The Utopia IV is currently undergoing repairs after an accident in the Bahamas last December when it rear-ended and sank an oil tanker on Christmas Eve.

J.R. leaves behind two daughters, Amber and Amanda.

Basketball legend Pippen posted on Wednesday, “We lost a good one with the passing of my friend. J.R. was so helpful and supportive when I began my life after basketball, giving me valuable advice and teaching me how to become an entrepreneur.”

Victoria Beckham and Khloe Kardashian also gave their condolences.

An email sent out by the family’s company to staff said it had “lost its great visionary, and the world has lost a passionate human being who believed in other people even more than they believed in themselves.”

The note added, “No words can adequately express our shock, our pain and our tremendous sadness at J.R.’s untimely passing. J.R. would want us to honor his memory and legacy by dedicating ourselves to continuing the work he loved so much.”

Tyrese Ordered to Pay Over $10,000 in Monthly Child Support, Video Shows Judge Threaten to Hold Him in Contempt

Tyrese Gibson has been ordered to pay over $10,000 a month in child support.

The judgment was announced Tuesday during a hearing in Fulton County, Georgia. Tyrese is currently in divorce proceedings with his estranged wife Samantha Lee Gibson, with whom he shares a 3-year-old daughter named Soraya Lee. As seen in video published by TMZ, the hearing became tense after Samantha’s lawyer claimed Tyrese made $2 million in 2018 and asked how that squares with his claim to have been experiencing financial hardships.

“Sir, I’m asking you, because I don’t do the CFO thing,” Tyrese fired back at the attorney at the one-minute mark below. He added “here’s a question to you, smart person” before being cut off by Judge Kevin M. Farmer, who scolded the Fast and Furious star for his behavior.

“No. Hey, that’s enough. … If you do it again, I’m gonna hold you in contempt. You don’t ask any questions!” the judge is seen saying in a raised voice. “That’s not how this works!”

According to the outlet, Tyrese must pay Samantha $10,690 per month in child support and will split the costs of childcare and school. He’s also required to maintain his health insurance policy. Tyrese also reportedly pays $10,690 a month in child support to his ex-wife Norma Mitchel; the two share 15-year-old daughter Shayla, who lives in California.

“This is not a punishment for you,” Judge Farmer told Tyrese. “Put that money where it belongs, in the child. … I want you both to love your kid, and I want you both to tell your kid to love the other parent, because that’s how we get successful human beings. Nobody won here and nobody lost. The kid lost, because she doesn’t have her parents together. Minimize the effects of that loss. Minimize it in every way, shape and form you can.”

TMZ reports the child support payments were also backdated to 2020, when Samantha filed for divorce. The judge reduced the lump sum from $209,000 to $169,000 because Tyrese has been making Samantha’s car payments for two years. He also declared Tyrese and Samantha legally single and denied spousal support for each party.

Ana de Armas Calls Out MPAA’s NC-17 Rating for Marilyn Monroe Netflix Film ‘Blonde’

Ana de Armas has questioned why Netflix’s Marilyn Monroe film Blonde, in which she plays the lead, has received an NC-17 rating from the MPAA.

The actress was asked about the rating in a recent interview, and she suggested that there are much more intense films that still managed to get an R rating. “I didn’t understand why that happened. I can tell you a number of shows or movies that are way more explicit with a lot more sexual content than Blonde,” she told French magazine L’Officiel, per The Hollywood Reporter. “But to tell this story it is important to show all these moments in Marilyn’s life that made her end up the way that she did. It needed to be explained. Everyone [in the cast] knew we had to go to uncomfortable places. I wasn’t the only one.”

The film received a NC-17 rating for “some sexual content” back in March. Even before the arrival of the first trailer for the film, Blonde raised eyebrows over its adults-only rating. It’s very rare for a movie produced by a mainstream distributor, such as Netflix, to garner such a rating. When it does happen, however, studios typically opt to appeal or edit the movie in order to obtain an R rating instead. Notable recent examples include Don’t Breathe 2, The King’s Man, and Midsommar, all of which faced cuts for their theatrical releases.

Speaking with ScreenDaily back in February, director and writer Andrew Dominik predicted that Blonde would get an NC-17. “It’s a demanding movie. If the audience doesn’t like it, that’s the fucking audience’s problem,” Dominik said. “It’s not running for public office.” Netflix apparently “insisted” on hiring Tenet editor Jennifer Lame to “curb the excesses of the movie,” but ultimately decided to release it in its NC-17 form.

Blonde debuts on Netflix on Sept. 28.

Sherri Shepherd Refuses to Use ‘Purple’ Set Decor on Her New Talk Show

*Sherri Shepherd is gearing up for her daytime talk show debut this fall and she’s speaking out about the design of her new show’s set.

Shepherd says her favorite color purple was “out of the question” for the set decor as it is the same color used by predecessor Wendy Williams on her now-canceled talk show. Williams was known for her iconic purple chair.

“Purple was out of the question,” she said during a virtual press conference Tuesday, Page Six reports. “I love everything. … It was a collaboration.”

Shepherd told attendees that her set is “vibrant,” and will differ from “The Wendy Williams Show” in terms of color, per the report.

Shepherd’s new daytime talk show, simply titled “Sherri,” is replacing the “Wendy Williams Show.” In a promo clip, she promises to take viewers “on every step of this journey… behind the scenes, on the road, in the studio, rehearsals, interviews and so much more,” Shepherd said, as reported previously by Page Six.

Her new daytime talker is presented as a “comedic take on entertainment and pop culture,” according to the report. The production company behind “The Wendy Williams Show,” Debmar-Mercury, is producing Shepherd’s show.

“I’ve always dreamed about this,” Shepherd previously told PEOPLE about having her own talk show. “I always wanted something where I could make people laugh, that’s always been my ‘why,’ to make people feel good.”

Shepherd served as one of several rotating celebrity guest hosts of the “Wendy Williams Show” during Wendy’s health-related hiatus, which ultimately led to the cancellation of her beloved daytime talker.

“For me it’s got to be fun, escapism,” Shepherd added. “If you’re a mother, specifically a Black mother like me, there’s something that’s always making you scared. Now they’re taking away women’s rights, it’s always something. And I feel like people want to turn on the TV and not have to think about all that. I just want to see something that’s going to make me smile and make me laugh.”

NBA Releases Memo That Says All Unvaccinated Players and Staff Must Take a COVID-19 Test Every Week

In a memo on Tuesday, the NBA announced that unvaccinated players and staff would be required to test weekly for COVID-19.

The National Basketball Players Association approved the new guideline after it had been developed over several weeks.

“It looks like we’ll be on our normal track in terms of when the season starts, in terms of our protocols around the game, particularly around the health and safety of our players,” said NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. “I have learned over the last two and a half years not to make any predictions when it comes to COVID, but only to say we’ll be prepared for anything that comes our way.”

Vaccinated individuals will not be forced to submit to testing unless instructed to do so by a team or league physician or “government authority.” Regardless of vaccination status, anyone displaying symptoms is required to report it and get tested. When a member of the individual’s home tests positive, they must also report it.

Facemasks are not necessary but are advised indoors if there is a high virus level in the area.

Currently, most staff and officials in the league are vaccinated, and the league encourages everyone to continue staying up to date with their vaccinations.

According to the memo, certain exemptions will be for the unvaccinated, particularly if a person has “recently recovered” from the virus.
