#RHOA: NeNe Leakes sued by boyfriend’s wife over alleged affair
NeNe Leakes is being sued by her boyfriend’s estranged wife over claims the couple had an affair while he was still married.
Malomine Tehmeh-Sioh filed a lawsuit against the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum in North Carolina on May 23, alleging the tryst led to her separation from husband Nyonisela Sioh.
The court documents, obtained by Page Six, state that Sioh and Tehmeh-Sioh “enjoyed a genuine happy marital relationship” and an “active sexual relationship” prior to his involvement with Leakes.
Tehmeh-Sioh claims Leakes and Sioh “engaged in an ongoing romantic, uninhibited, and adulterous affair without the knowledge or consent” of his wife. She further alleges that Sioh, a clothing designer, “repeatedly lied to [her] about his whereabouts.”
The filing then goes on to explain how Tehmeh-Sioh faced “embarrassment, humiliation, and disgrace” when Leakes posted “intimate pictures” with Sioh on social media.
Tehmeh-Sioh, who listed the date of her marital separation as Dec. 17, 2021, also notes in the suit that Leakes had posted photos on Dec. 15 of her and Sioh celebrating her birthday together prior to his split.
“As a result of the adulterous relationship between [Leakes] and [Sioh], the love and affection which existed between [Tehmeh-Sioh] and [Sioh] was alienated, estranged, and destroyed,” the lawsuit alleges.
Tehmeh-Sioh is seeking $100,000 in damages from Leakes for “alienation of affections” and “criminal conversation.”
The estranged couple married on Nov. 10, 2016, and share son Nyoni, 11.
Tehmeh-Sioh’s attorney, Leakes’ reps and Sioh did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
TMZ reported on Dec. 15, 2021, that Leakes, 54, had started dating Sioh just three months after she lost her husband, Gregg Leakes, to colon cancer.
The reality star, who is currently suing various companies behind “RHOA” for allegedly fostering a racist work environment, has said that Gregg would have approved of her new relationship.
“I will love Gregg forever & ever! Grieving is hard! Even harder & depressing alone,” she told The Shade Room on Dec. 17. “Gregg and I had a very tearful conversation before his passing. His words to me were, ‘Be happy, keep smiling and he who finds you has found a good one.’”
TMZ was first to report on the lawsuit.

Mass Shooting On Philadelphia’s South Street Leaves 3 Dead, 12 Others Injured: Police
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A mass shooting on Philadelphia’s South Street leaves three people dead and 12 others injured. Police say patrol officers in the area heard numerous gunshots coming from the 200 block of South Street just before midnight Saturday.
Multiple shooters reportedly fired into a crowd of people on South Street.
They say one of the officers witnessed the shooting firsthand and quickly fired at one of the shooters, causing them to drop their weapon. Police were able to recover two guns at the scene, one with an extended magazine, but not before 15 people were struck by the gunfire.
“He was within 10 to 15 yards of the shooter watching this person shoot into the crowd when the officer engaged that shooter and as a result of that brave officer, that individual, again we’re uncertain if he was struck or not, but the officer was able to get that individual to drop his gun and flee,” Insp. D F Pace said.
Police described it as a terrifying and chaotic scene.
CBS3 has learned the shooting victims are being treated at various hospitals across the city including, Temple and Jefferson Hospitals and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
Three of the victims, two men, ages 22 and 34, and a 26-year-old woman, were pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The extent of the injuries to the other 12 people injured is unclear at this time.
Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney issued a statement following the mass shooting reading in part:
The events that transpired last evening on South Street are beyond devastating. Once again, we see lives lost and people injured in yet another horrendous, brazen and despicable act of gun violence. Our city and country have experienced a steep rise in gun violence over the past few years. We’ve spent these years grappling with this epidemic—doing everything not only to stop it but to try to understand why the violence continues—it’s senseless, needless and deeply troubling. I know this shooting has shaken our community. The safety of our residents and visitors is our top priority. Our administration, in partnership with our local and federal law enforcement agencies, continues to work relentlessly to reduce violence and create safer communities.
The mayor also says his “heart is with the family, friends and loved ones of those lost or injured, and with everyone impacted by this terrible tragedy.”
CBS3 spoke to a neighbor who lives close to the shooting. She says she was in bed when she heard the gunfire. When she woke up Sunday morning and read that there was a mass shooting, she was left full of emotion.
Police are actively looking for the shooters involved in this incident and are confident that surveillance cameras from around South Street will reveal those responsible for this mass shooting.
The area of 3rd and South Streets remains closed as police investigate.

Celtics Players Wore Shirts Supporting Brittney Griner On Saturday
It’s been more than 100 days since WNBA star Brittney Griner was first detained in Russia over allegations of having cannabis oil in her belongings while going through an airport. While the American government, NBA, WNBA, and plenty of other have stated that they’re working to get the All-Star center back to the United States, there has not been any sort of resolution regarding her situation.
There have been numerous shows of support for Griner, who the government believes is being wrongly detained, among those in the basketball world. The latest example of this came on Saturday afternoon, when members of the Boston Celtics wore “We Are BG” t-shirts.
Jaylen Brown was asked about the shirts as he sat down with the media and explained that the effort was led by one of his teammates, Grant Williams.
"We wanted to come out and show our support… We feel like enough is enough."

“Came from the Players Association, led by Grant Williams, but as a collective, wanted to come out and show our support for Brittney Griner,” Brown said. “She’s been over there for an extended amount of time, and we feel like enough is enough.”
The QR code on the back of the shirts links to a petition calling for Griner’s swift and safe return back to the United States. As of this writing, it’s received signatures from more than 240,000 people.
Children’s Museum Slammed for Offering ‘Juneteenth Watermelon Salad’
An Indiana museum has apologized for selling a watermelon menu item in honor of Juneteenth.
As pointed out by TMZ, the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis faced widespread criticism this week after someone posted a photo of its “Juneteenth Watermelon Salad” offered in its cafeteria. Social media users slammed the museum for the labeling, saying it perpetuated a stereotype about Black people and Black culture. Some argued that the ill-conceived move further highlighted how some don’t take the federal holiday seriously or understand its significance.
This is ridiculous and a mockery of Juneteenth… I’ve never had a watermelon salad or even heard of it.. smh pic.twitter.com/J6BV7F9hx8
Celebrated on June 19, the holiday commemorates the end of United States slavery—specifically, the day when a group of enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, learned they’d been granted freedom more than two years after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation.
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis responded to some of the criticism on its Facebook page, insisting its team conducts thorough research when curating a menu for special events. They said red foods, such as watermelon, “are a staple of Juneteenth Celebrations, including our food court manager’s family Juneteenth celebrations.”
The museum has since pulled the item from its cafeteria and issue a public apology.
“As a museum, we apologize and acknowledge the negative impact that stereotypes have on communities of color,” it wrote in a statement provided to the IndyStar. “The salad has been removed from the menu. We are currently reviewing how we may best convey these stories and traditions during this year’s Juneteenth celebration as well as making changes around how future food selections are made by our food service provider.”
On the first day of LGBTQ Pride Month, Ohio House passes transgender sports ban
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio House passed a bill shortly before midnight Wednesday, the first day of Pride Month, with an amendment to ban transgender girls and women from playing high school and college women’s sports.
House Bill 151 passed 56 to 28 with Democrats voting in opposition.
It now heads to the Ohio Senate, which is in summer recess and won’t return until the fall.
The Ohio High School Athletic Association, the National Collegiate Athletic Association and the National Junior College Athletic Association have policies for transgender athletes, which aim to protect student medical privacy, and emphasize inclusion and fairness. Yet if HB 151 passes, the state law would overrule their policies. Instead of considering testosterone levels or the length of time an athlete has been medically transitioning, HB 151 would be an all-out ban of transgender girls and women from playing women’s sports.
As originally introduced, HB 151 would change the Ohio Resident Educator Program, which assists new teachers with mentoring and professional development as they begin their careers. The bill would permit online mentoring in addition to in-person mentoring, among other program changes.
But on the Ohio House floor late Wednesday night, Rep. Jena Powell, a Darke County Republican, offered an amendment to the bill, which a majority of the House accepted. The amendment is based on an earlier bill she sponsored, HB 61, called the Save Women’s Sports Act, which only received two hearings after being introduced last year.
Powell said that Title IX was established in 1972 to guarantee women the same opportunities to play sports as men. But allowing transgender women to play on women’s teams is a violation of Title IX.
“Allowing biological males to compete against biological females is a discriminatory policy that turns back the clock over a half century on advances we have made for women,” she said.
If an athlete’s sex is disputed, she would have to present a signed physician’s statement about her internal and external reproductive anatomy and normal endogenously produced levels of testosterone. She would also have to show an analysis of her genetic makeup, under the amendment.
Rep. Beth Liston, a Columbus-area Democrat and physician, said that if a girl looks a little too masculine, she could be required to present this information. If a parent is upset that another child gets more play time, they could question the child’s anatomy.
“This amendment is state-sanctioned bullying,” she said.
Rep. Phil Robinson, a Solon Democrat, called Powell’s action “deja vu.”
Last year, Powell added the Save Women’s Sports Act into a bill protecting college athletes’ names, images and likenesses. In the Senate, the amendment died.
By adding the amendment on the House floor, it wasn’t vetted through enough committee hearings in which legislators could hear about the potential economic impact a discriminatory policy would have on the state. Lawmakers need to hear from transgender students, he said.
Although the bill could make a big statement about the legislature’s views on LGBTQ rights, the number of people who would be impacted is small. The OHSAA said it has made just 48 transgender rulings between 2015-2021. About 400,000 students in grades 7-12 participate in OHSAA sports.
After last year’s amendment, Gov. Mike DeWine released a statement saying the issue is best addressed outside of government, including with groups such as the OHSAA.
On Wednesday, Equality Ohio posted on its Facebook page that it heard a rumor that the amendment was coming. It urged its supporters to call Ohio House Speaker Bob Cupp’s office and ask that he block it from coming to the floor.
Frank Ocean reportedly has first feature film in the works
According to Discussing Film, Frank Ocean will soon write and direct his very own feature film.
Sources report that he will work alongside independent production company, 2AM, to take his talents back to the film landscape. The company is based out of London and is an independent venture that is backed by A24. Ocean has been acquainted with the American independent entertainment company, which specializes in film and television production, for a while now.
In fact, he previously collaborated with A24 on several projects including Barry Jenkins’ Moonlight in which Ocean wrote the foreword. The film won Best Picture during the 2017 Oscars. Additionally, he is responsible for curating the tunes for the 2019 film Waves which featured two tracks of his own, “Godspeed,” and “Seigfried.”. He has even ventured into his own lane as the writer and director of his 2016 visual album, Endless.
Although he’s been making waves in the film industry, Ocean has been confirmed for Coachella 2023. Fans anticipate that this means the “Thinking Bout You” crooner will be gearing up to drop new music between now and next year’s festival. The last time that Ocean dropped music was on Christmas Day 2021 when he dropped a new song via his Apple Music show, “Blonded Radio.”
Ocean’s rise to fame began when he moved to Los Angeles in his late teens. After his start in the industry as a ghostwriter for artists like Beyoncé and Justin Bieber, he began releasing his own music in 2011 with the “ULTRA” mixtape. His last album, Blonde, dropped in 2016 and featured tracks like “Close to You” and “Facebook Story.”
At this time, the project is currently untitled but has been referenced by insiders as Philly. It does not yet have a release date. Filming will reportedly begin in the fall in New Mexico and will wrap at the top of 2023.
911 dispatcher fired after reportedly hanging up during Buffalo massacre call
A Buffalo, New York 911 operator was fired yesterday (June 2) after mishandling a phone call during the deadly May 14 mass shooting.
As previously reported by REVOLT, a Tops Friendly Markets assistant office manager named Latisha Rogers called for help while the massacre was in progress, but the dispatcher reportedly hung up on her because she was whispering.
Rogers survived the shooting, but the targeted tragedy claimed the lives of 10 people. During the racially-motivated attack, a gunman walked into the grocery store and opened fire on Black customers as he live-streamed the hate crime on social media.
The dispatcher’s name has been withheld, but up until yesterday, they had been on paid administrative leave since May 16. County Executive Mark Poloncarz shared that on May 30, a hearing took place to “terminate the 911 call taker who acted totally inappropriately, not following protocol.”
CNN spoke with the store employee who described the events of that day. “I look up out the window and I saw this customer, this lady with her shopping cart – she just stopped – and she just had this really funny look on her face and then she just turned to run,” Rogers said.
She continued, “Next thing you know, you just keep hearing boom, boom, boom. All we could do was just drop to the ground.”
The woman says that she was “praying that he didn’t see me” as she hid behind a counter. That’s when she used a phone to dial 911.
“Please send help, there’s a person in the store shooting,” Rogers says she told the operator. “What? I can’t hear you,” the person on the other end of the line responded. “Why are you whispering? You don’t have to whisper, they can’t hear you.”
The Tops assistant office manager said the dispatcher’s dismissive attitude added to her trauma from the day’s events.
Central Police Services were able to find the recorded conversation and the county executive said, “They identified this one call, the issue associated with it, it was completely unacceptable.”
Poloncarz added, “We teach our 911 call takers that if someone is whispering, it probably means they are in trouble.”
Shay Mitchell Welcomes Second Child, a Baby Girl, with Matte Babel
Shay Mitchell's second little one is here! The Dollface actress, 35, and longtime partner Matte Babel welcomed their second child together, a baby girl, she confirmed to PEOPLE on Saturday at the BÉIS Motel pop-up at The Grove in Los Angeles.
The couple, who has been linked since 2017, welcomed their newborn daughter two weeks ago, and also share 2-year-old Atlas Noa.
Speaking with PEOPLE, Mitchell says, "I feel awesome. I feel really, really good. It definitely takes a village. I'm really lucky my parents are in town and everybody's been really helpful."
Noting that Atlas "is loving being a big sister," Mitchell says, "She is so excited. She's been incredible. She helps me change diapers and it's good — she loves it."
And though she remains mum on what exactly her newborn's name is, Mitchell tells PEOPLE, "It's going to be announced soon."
She adds: "It's a very special name and I think similar to Atlas, when I heard it, I knew it was just the perfect name."

Mitchell first announced she was expecting her second baby in February with an emotional Instagram post.
The You star detailed the difficult experience of celebrating her baby on the way while mourning the loss of her grandmother at the same time.
"Saying goodbye to a loved one while simultaneously experiencing the joy of welcoming another into this world is the great cycle of life. It is also my most challenging season to date," the actress wrote alongside topless photos that show off her baby bump.
"I can't help but think this was the universe's plan all along, knowing I would need other worldly joy to cushion the blow of losing one of the most important people in my life," she shared. "Yet, this is proof that love, life, and loss can profoundly exist all at the same time. Gram, I miss you every day. Little one, we are so excited to meet you. I breathe a sigh of peace knowing you two are already connected in such a cosmic way."
Babel later shared the pregnancy news on his own Instagram, simply posting a photo of Mitchell's baby bump as she held Atlas in her arms.
Mariah Carey hit with $20 million copyright lawsuit over 'All I Want for Christmas Is You'
All she wants for Christmas is… a motion to dismiss? Legendary songstress Mariah Carey has been hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit over her 1994 holiday classic "All I Want for Christmas Is You."
Songwriter Andy Stone filed a complaint in New Orleans federal court on Friday alleging that he co-wrote a song in 1990 with the same title as Carey's enduring yuletide banger.
Stone, who serves as the frontman for country-pop band Vince Vance & the Valiants, is asking for a minimum of $20 million in damages, and he named Carey, her co-writer, and Sony Music Entertainment in the suit, claiming they illegally exploited his "popularity and unique style."
The two songs share titles. If you're unfamiliar with Stone's version, you can check it out here.
Stone argues that his song charted on Billboard and enjoyed "extensive airplay" in 1993, and that attempts to come to an agreement with Carey and the other co-defendants in April 2021 were unsuccessful.
Carey's perennial Christmas favorite hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time in 2019 and has returned to the top spot every year since. In fact, the song gets so much play in the final months of the year that in 2021, a bar banned patrons from playing it on the jukebox before December and then only once a night after that. This prompted Carey to tweet about her new role in the "war on Christmas."
Carey told EW in 2019 that she's proud of the song's slow climb to holiday domination. "When it first came out, it was more of a gradual thing," Carey said. "It was popular, but it didn't have what it has now. I feel like people have grown up with the song and it's become a part of people's lives in terms of the way they celebrate the holidays. That makes me feel really proud as someone that loves Christmas so much."
One thing Carey doesn't acknowledge is the age of the song, which featured prominently in the 2003 holiday rom-com Love Actually.
"I rebuke time," she said. "I have a thing where I just live outside the traditional realm of how we measure [it]. So in that way, Santa and myself are very similar."
Carey isn't the only high-profile musician to face a lawsuit this year. In March, Dua Lipa was sued by Florida-based group Artikal Sound System for the apparent similarities between her 2020 smash "Levitating" and their 2017 recording "Live Your Life." The plaintiffs in that case are seeking monetary compensation in the form of profit sharing from "Levitating," claiming that Lipa "listened to and copied 'Live Your Life' before and during the time when they were writing 'Levitating,'" according to the suit.
Representatives for Carey and Sony Music did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment.
And hey, even though it's a little early for Christmas in July, here's Mariah's version of "All I Want for Christmas Is You" to keep you cozy.
Vivica A. Fox criticizes Jada Pinkett Smith for 'self-righteous' comments about Oscars slap
Vivica A. Fox thinks Jada Pinkett Smith could have done better addressing the Will Smith Oscars slap.
A day after Jada broke her silence on the topic, Fox criticized her former co-star for taking "no accountability" and called Jada's remarks "self-righteous" on Thursday's Wendy Williams Show.
"This is going to be difficult for me," began Fox, who fought back tears. "These are my peers. I've done a movie with both of them," referring to Set It Off with Jada and Independence Day with Will — the latter of which she said "absolutely changed my life."
However, "when I saw this video" of Jada addressing the topic on Wednesday's Red Table Talk, "it made me cry, I'll be very honest with you guys."
"We were all rooting for Will Smith that night, Oscar night," she continued. "We wanted him to win. [He] was going to be crowned this generation's Sidney Poitier, which is a huge honor."
Fox felt that Jada accepted no responsibility for the drama, which stemmed from presenter Chris Rock making a G.I. Jane joke about her bald ahead, reportedly unaware she had alopecia. Will stormed the stage, slapped the comedian, then continued to curse him out from his seat. Meanwhile, Jada seemed to laugh at her seat.
"Will Smith was defending her honor, that's the reason he walked on stage and slapped — because he felt like his wife had been offended," Fox continued, "So for me to see no accountability as a partner..."
Will Smith (R) hits Chris Rock as Rock spoke on stage during the 94th Academy Awards in Hollywood,
She continued, "Also, let's not forget, Chris Rock was assaulted. We cannot forget that for basically telling a joke that I really felt wasn't that bad."
Not to mention, she continued, that the show was executive-produced by an all Black team headed by Will Packer.
"This night was a night of African American and diversity for brown and Black people that now will forever be scarred," she said.
Fox said she has "love for the Smiths. I know their children. I've watched them grow up." She just thinks Jada could have done better.
"I just wish we could have just a little more accountability and for it to not seem so self-righteous on Jada's part," she said.
Jada's comments on RTT came more than two months after the slap seen around the world, which resulted in Will, who went on to win the Best Actor award, being banned from the Oscars for 10 years. He also resigned from the Academy.
"About Oscar night," Jada said. "My deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile. Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years — and that's [to] keep figuring out this thing called life together. Thank you for listening."
That episode of RTT was about alopecia, which Will, in his public apology, said was behind him hitting Rock. Will said he "reacted emotionally" because the "joke about Jada's medical condition was too much for me to bear."
GoFundMe Reportedly ‘Shuts Down’ $1M Fundraiser To Help Amber Heard Pay Johnny Depp
GoFundMe Reportedly ‘shuts down’ fundraiser to help Amber Heard pay Johnny Depp $10.4m damages
Well, it looks like Amber Heard is going to have to get working after losing to ex-husband Johnny Depp in his defamation case.
As we previously reported, Depp, who received a total of $10M in compensatory charges related to lost career opportunities and $5m in punitive damages, won his defamation lawsuit on all three counts against his ex-wife which all stemmed from a 2018 op-ed she wrote in The Washington Post about being a victim of domestic abuse. The actress, 36, will only have to pay $10.35 million due to a Virginia law capping punitive damages (the judge reduced the amount).
Her attorney spoke out just one day after the verdict and said her client is “absolutely not” able to pay Mr. Depp. After fans heard that the actress was allegedly short on cash, her loyal fans decided to come together to help her out, with one fan even making a GoFundMe me account! The fundraiser was created by someone named Kimberly Moore. She claimed to have made contact with Heard’s legal team and vowed Amber would have direct access to any money raised. The page’s description read, “I believe Amber, and social media protected the abuser. The judgment exceeds her net worth. It’s so sad that he was able to get away with the abuse. The judgment furthers that abuse. If you can please help her.” However, a spokesperson for GoFundMe said…
However, a spokesperson for GoFundMe said that it was determined neither Amber nor anyone on her team had created the page and GF was able to flag the profile quickly — before a substantial amount of money, shutting it down.
While Heard figures out her plan, Johnny Depp is enjoying his life now that he “got back.” He released a statement saying,
“False, very serious and criminal allegations were levied at me via the media, which triggered an endless barrage of hateful content, although no charges were ever brought against me. It had already traveled around the world twice within a nanosecond and it had a seismic impact on my life and my career,” Depp said.
“My decision to pursue this case, knowing very well the height of the legal hurdles that I would be facing and the inevitable, worldwide spectacle into my life, was only made after considerable thought,” he added.
“From the very beginning, the goal of bringing this case was to reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome. Speaking the truth was something that I owed to my children and to all those who have remained steadfast in their support of me. I feel at peace knowing I have finally accomplished that,” he said. Depp concluded his statement with the Latin expression “Veritas numquam perit,” or “Truth never perishes.

Kirk Franklin‘s son, Kerrion, was discharged from jail on June 1 after being arrested on April 10, according to Radar Online.
Bad Boys: Los Angeles cast member walked out of the Orange County facility following his arrest by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department for allegedly driving a car of a woman assumed missing and dead. Police authorities also discovered a gun in the vehicle. However, according to Vibe, the 33-year-old claims the weapon is not his, and he does not know the unidentified woman.
Due to prior warrants, he was held without bond. Kerrion failed to appear in court in 2007 after he was issued three misdemeanors that included falsely representing himself to an officer, possession of purported government-issued California driver’s license/California identification, and control of alcohol under 21, according to Radar Online.
As previously reported, Kerrion maintained his innocence while on the Larry Reid Live show. He believes that he is being framed and that law enforcement added more gun charges against him.
“Things have just been happening around me. Feeling like I’m being set up, feeling like people are trying to catch me doing wrong,” he said to Reid. “After I was already booked in jail, they’re trying to put extra gun charges on me. Over the past year, I’ve had multiple vehicles like, I’m a producer, filmmaker, like, I just love entertainment, but it comes with a lot.”
He added: “I mean, the car is registered. It got — I’ve been stopped before, nobody never said anything about a murder or anything. Like, this is the first time I’m ever hearing about this. So, I’m just keeping my mind positive.”
A judge determined that he should be released, and the reality star took to social media to give his followers an update about his legal woes.
AL B. SURE! Hospitalized for Surgery in Mt. Vernon, NY
*Al B. Sure is looking for prayer support. Via multiple Instagram posts, we’ve learned from the entertainer that he’s currently hospitalized in Mt. Vernon, NY. He also revealed that he had surgery, but did not detail why.
A posting from June 1 shows him laying down on a hospital bed as a nurse draws several vials of blood. The caption reads, “#albeez around the world. Just getting it right. Love & Light! #AllPraiseisDuetoAllah.”
Later posts were apparently put up by Sure’s team after he announced he was going in for surgery. As one post reads, “The #HealthandWellnes journey is almost complete and back #InEffectMode! Note, Al B! says please forgive the graphic nature of the image(s) for those with weak stomachs.
“His #TrueOnes #Family and #LoveOnes requested that we keep them abreast of his progress so that we are doing with pleasure. He will share more with you directly from the horses mouth when he’s able to do so! #HellBeRightBack BETTER THAN EVER and ready to fight @celebrityboxing1 #InRecovery.”
Then, on Thursday (06-02-22), the singer provided an update for his fans and assured them he made it through the surgery. He quoted Drake’s “Started From The Bottom” saying, “We Started in #MtVernon Nah We Hea… The #OG Ambassador of the #MountVernonWolves made it through. 100 percent Lives #LetsGetBacktoIT.
“I’m elated knowing who reached out and who couldn’t be bothered. My team is on top of it. You are forgiven but now you are forgotten. Love & Light #AlBSure #HarlemAmerican but #MtVernon4Life #AllPraiseisDuetoAllah.”
As HiHopDX noted, news of his successful surgery drew comments from some of Al B. Sure’s famous friends. From famed Hip Hop producer Pete Rock to Salt-n-Pepa alum DJ Spinderella to C.L. Smooth and Tamar Braxton, prayers and support poured in for the R&B legend
French Open 2022 final: Coco Gauff falls, but shows promise of a future tennis star
Coco Gauff wasn't supposed to be here. Though Gauff showed promise in her young career, she entered the French Open as the No. 18 seed. Upsets plagued the women's side of the bracket, leaving a path for Gauff to make a deep run at the event. She did just that.
Gauff, 18, was masterful in the six matches leading up to the final. She didn't drop a single set as she took down veterans twice her age, eliminated fellow American Sloane Stephens and cruised to a win over Martina Trevisan in the semifinals.
Then, she ran into Iga Swiatek. Though Gauff had her moments Saturday, Swiatek was too powerful a force once she found her groove. Swiatek, 21, cruised to a win over Gauff 6-1, 6-3 to win the 2022 French Open. In her first Grand Slam singles final, Gauff finished as the runner up.
There's no shame in losing to Swiatek right now. She came into Saturday's match on a 34-match win streak, one of the best streaks in professional tennis since 2000. At the end of the day, Swiatek tied Venus Williams for the longest win streak since 2000. Swiatek appeared unbeatable the entire event, dropping just one set en route to two French Open wins in the last three years. She played aggressively, bullying her competitors and never shying away from a risk.
Gauff played nervous early in the match, giving away points to Swiatek due to unforced errors. At the start of the second set, Gauff recovered. She took the first two games from Swiatek in the second set. At that point, Swiatek found her swing and took over the match.
Though she lost, this feels like Gauff’s official induction into tennis adulthood. Gone is the 15-year-old we saw blast her way into the public consciousness with an unexpected run at Wimbledon in 2018. Well, not gone, but she’s different now. She had stars in her eyes when she faced — and defeated — her idol, Venus Williams at the All-England Club. Now she’s an established competitor, one we watched grow as a player right before our eyes. It seemed like a given that Gauff would one day win a Grand Slam. That hasn't changed after Saturday's match.
What can be said about Swiatek can also be said about Gauff: This is only the beginning. With her appearance Saturday, Gauff became the youngest woman to reach a Grand Slam final in 18 years. She wasn't able to pick up her first finals win this time, but her future is bright, and it shouldn't be long before she gets another chance to claim that first Grand Slam title.
Swiatek and her 35-match win streak may present a significant obstacle when the time comes. But streaks exist to be broken.

D.L. Hughley and Daughter Ryan Shepard Speak Out Against Mo’Nique Amid Feud
It doesn’t appear that the feud between D.L. Hughley and Mo’Nique will slow down anytime soon. Just one day after Hughley’s family got dragged into the disagreement; the comedian is speaking out again.
“THE LOVE BETWEEN OUR FAMILY IS EVIDENT AND CLEAR AND WHILE I’M BEYOND PROUD OF THE WAY MY ELDEST DAUGHTER @brownsugarandbourbon HANDLED THIS DISGUSTING ATTACK, THIS IS NOT THEIR FIGHT,” he captioned a screenshot of an Instagram post from his daughter, Ryan Nicole Shepard, on Saturday. “THEY HAVE BEEN REPEATEDLY ATTACKED FOR NO REASON, THIS NEEDS TO END.”
Hughley promised to speak more on the situation later today. Shepard called out Mo’Nique for disrespecting her mother, her younger sister, and her father in her post. She referred to the comedienne as “two crayons short of the full box,” writing that she is mentally unstable and immoral.
“Nothing is too far in your quest to prove a point, and I’m blessed that my parents raised children who have no idea how you could possibly go there,” Shepard continued. We Hughleys are going to have a good *ss day and a blessed life.”
The comments come on the heels of a social media post made by Mo’Nique calling out Hughley for not protecting his daughter when she accused someone he knows of violating her. The comedians have been locked in a battle of words after Mo’Nique railed against Hughley during a comedy show, claiming that she was supposed to be the headliner.
