Beyoncé for British VOGUE Magazine

Beyoncé covers the July 2022 issue of British Vogue magazine photographed by Rafael Pavarotti.

I can’t help thinking how all those walls we perceive Beyoncé putting up don’t exist to facilitate ego. Quite the contrary. They exist so she can let it all go. “My earth, my heart, my soil and my sanity” is how she refers to her innermost unit, and a great deal of protection goes into allowing her to experience her pocket of the world as calmly as possible. Perhaps it took her a while to get to this point?

Either way, the energy shift is beautiful to behold. This is a precious time in her life. Now 40, she’s feeling so good as a mother, an artist and a woman.

#RHOA: Kenya Moore says Marlo Hampton's behavior on 'RHOA' 'declasses the show'

For Kenya Moore, being “booked and busy, baby” is second nature.

Moore, who first came to prominence as Miss USA 1993, is an actor, entrepreneur and mother. She has been on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" since 2013, making her mark with quotable sayings like "'Gone with the Wind' Fabulous."

Season 14 of "RHOA," which premiered in May, stars Kandi Burruss, Marlo Hampton, Moore, Drew Sidora, Sanya Richards-Ross, and Shereé Whitfield, and airs every Sunday at 8 p.m. on Bravo with episodes available the next day on Peacock.

The departure of longtime cast members Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey left room for more drama, and these ladies are overserving.

The TODAY show sat down with Moore to hear about what’s transpired so far this season, all that she has going on and what’s to come.

Moore 'loves' new 'RHOA' cast member Sanya Richards-Ross

Season 14 welcomed newcomer Richards-Ross, a four-time Olympic gold medalist and friend of Sidora.

Moore said she “loves” Richards-Ross, and that she “fits in really well.” Moore said she finds Richards-Ross similar to former co-star Bailey, as she’s a “peacemaker” and “not very problematic.”

When speaking to TODAY, Sidora called Richards-Ross a "flip-flopper." Moore agreed, saying Richards-Ross “kind of fills those shoes.”

“I can see where people would say that because I just don’t think she likes to make waves. She wants to be friends with everyone. So sometimes she may take a stance and that may change depending on how someone reacts," she said.

She thinks Drew Sidora's marriage is 'toxic' and 'not beneficial'

A stance Moore’s been vocal about? Her thoughts on Sidora and husband Ralph Pittman’s relationship.

For Moore, it's clear why fans and cast mates (herself included) react so viscerally to the relationship. “It looks like a very toxic relationship that is not beneficial to Drew," she said.

Moore sees similarities between Sidora's marriage and her own to Marc Daly. Moore filed for divorce in 2021, but the divorce still isn't finalized, per People.

"I see so many similarities between my husband and Ralph. It’s really scary for me to watch it before my eyes because I feel like I’m Drew in that moment a lot of times.”

Moore sticks up for Sidora to Pittman in Season 14. Moore said she imagined, in that moment, “how (Pittman) speaks to (Sidora) without cameras being there.”

Watching this season back has been a full-circle, emotional moment for Moore. “I felt like that’s the woman I should have been when I spoke up. That’s the woman I should have been in my marriage and I wasn’t," she said.

Sidora told Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live" that she was "grateful" for Moore. “I felt like, I’m not crazy. Another woman shares my sentiments. We haven’t even talked.”

On a recent episode, Moore also weighed in on Sidora's new weight-loss program, Sidora’s Drop It with Drew. She said it was “giving Ponzi scheme” as the website’s sign-up portal didn’t work — a problem that’s now fixed, according to Sidora.

Moore said, “I was just being shady, I was not being serious! It’s not meant to destroy someone or to completely tear them down. It’s meant to be funny shade.”

Moore addresses Whitfield and Hampton’s comments about her

On the last episode of RHOA, a scene showed Whitfield and Hampton talking about Burruss, Richards-Ross and Moore. Hampton says Moore “went through every rapper in America and didn’t get a ring.”

Moore viewed Hampton’s remarks as “unprovoked."

"It’s gutter behavior, which declasses the show. A lot of the antics she uses ... she thinks she’s making good TV, it’s just making her look like the devil she is," she said.

Moore suggested that Hampton’s actions may stem from her wanting to keep her role in the cast. Season 14 is Hampton’s first season as a full-time "peach," but she has appeared on the show since Season 4.

Moore explained, “She’s waited a hundred years for (a full-time role), and now she feels like I have to do all these things to keep this position. It’s just an exclusive club that had never let her in before, and now that we let her in, it’s like, did we do the right thing? Is the neighborhood ruined? It kinda feels like it’s heading that way.”

Moore feels that resolution with Hampton is not possible, saying that the situation feels “too far gone."

She does have a message for Hampton: "Deal with your own reputation. Stop trying to put things on Kandi or myself.”

Moore had a conversation with Whitfield after Episode 6

While Hampton spoke about Burruss and Moore, Whitfield seemingly co-signed Hampton’s statements. She said "yeah" and nodded her head as Hampton spoke. Moore said, “When (Hampton and Whitfield) get together, they’re just real true mean girls.”

After watching the scene, Moore said she called Whitfield to express her discontent. Whitfield told her that she didn’t remember supporting Hampton’s remarks.

Moore said she told Whitfield, “'This is not who you are. Don’t be that mean girl. Don’t be her.'”

For Moore, seeing Whitfield support Hampton’s remarks about her was hurtful, as she said she’s supported Whitfield on and off camera, especially with Whitfield’s business ventures. Moore explained, “I didn’t want her to look foolish on TV."

She explains her 'Gone With the Wind Fabulous' comment

Moore has had many laugh-out-loud moments over the years. If she had to relive any for fun, she’d re-live her “Gone with the Wind Fabulous” moment from Season 5.

While sparring with former co-star Porsha Williams, Moore said, “I’ve been in this business for twenty years, and I’m still here. I’m still here, and I’m still fabulous. Right? Fabulous, 'Gone with the Wind' Fabulous.”

For Moore, this was more than a comeback to Williams, who had used Moore's age as an insult. Moore felt she was “educating” Williams on how she opened doors for her as a Black woman.

"You’re part of history. Do you not understand that? Like I opened the door for you, the same way Hattie McDaniel opened the door for other Black actresses to win Academy Awards. That’s really where it came from. I just started thinking, ‘You’re such a fool,'" Moore said.

Still, she's open to Williams returning to the show

Porsha Williams left the show in 2021 after eight seasons as a wife and one as a friend. Moore said she hasn’t seen or talked to Williams. "But I don’t have any ill feelings for her," she added.

She's open to Williams returning to the show. "I think I want what the fans want. If they want her [Williams] back, then I am supportive of that," she said.

Moore loves sharing her daughter with the world

Moore’s three-year-old daughter, Brooklyn Daly, has grown up in front of the cameras.

Moore said filming with Brooklyn is special. “She is so articulate and funny and personable and kind like it’s all the best things that a mother could ask for, and to share that with the world, it just makes me proud,” Moore said.

Outside of being a mother, Moore said she has a lot going on, including expansion of Kenya Moore Hair Care and another show on the way.

Moore answers rapid-fire questions about Season 14 & the Bravo-verse

Below, Moore answers questions about "RHOA" and beyond.

The "RHOA" cast member who causes the most drama: Hampton

The “RHOA” cast member gives the most juicy storyline: Whitfield

On if she wrote the shady note about Kandi Burruss “sucking d--- in the locker room”, as Hampton suggested on WWHL: "That’s 100% false. Why? I love Kandi to death. There was also derogatory things written about me in those notes. I just didn’t read it!”

The “RHOA” cast member who to have a juicy storyline: Sidora

The “RHOA” cast member who has the best confessionals: Herself

The “RHOA” cast member who surprised her the most: Whitfield

The “RHOA” cast member who has the best looks: Herself

The “RHOA” cast member who challenges her the most: Richards-Ross. Moore said, “You’ll see I get some stuff coming up. It’s like wait, what, you’re coming for me? Are you sure you want to do that?”

The “RHOA” cast member who throws the best events: Herself

The “RHOA” cast member she has the most fun with: Burruss and Whitfield

Who else she’s friends with in the Bravo-verse: Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Erika Girardi, Kyle Richards and Lisa Hochstein

Who she’d most want to bring on the show: Laverne Cox. Moore explained, “I think she would be a freaking awesome housewife. She’s intelligent, she can read, she’s gorgeous, she’s sophisticated. She’s everything that I would want a housewife to be.”

On what’s to come the rest of season 14: "The second half of the season is probably better than the first half, the trips coming up, the fights coming up … pretty epic.”

#HipHopNews: Drake Responds To Album Critics: ‘We Wait For You To Catch Up’

Drake is setting the trends. On Friday, the Toronto rapper released his surprise seventh studio album Honestly, Nevermind featuring dance and house music. But not everyone was a fan of his new sound, which was a noticeable departure from his previous hip-hop-heavy albums.

Social media weighed in with their thoughts, sharing memes and jokes about Drake’s surprising sound.

“I thought Drake was finna rap his ass off. He gave us Forever 21, Hot Topic, H&M ass music,” tweeted one person, while another joked, “Drake got my hips swaying like a bad bitch.”

Drake apparently heard the feedback and has a message for all those who aren’t fans of his new direction. A video surfaced online in which he responds to the criticism. According to Drake, he’s just ahead of the curve and his critics will soon catch up to his wave.

“It’s all good if you don’t get it yet,” he said. “That’s what we do. We wait for you to catch up.”

Added Drake, “We caught up already. On to the next.”

Drake worked with producers like Black Coffee, Gordo, Rampa, and Alex Lustig to craft his new album, which was a labor of love. “It took us about six, seven months to make, maybe,” he said during his new SiriusXM show “Table for One.” “And something that I always wanted to do. I don’t really wanna overexplain it, I just wanna play it ’cause it’s just a bunch of music that I love.”

But for those who don’t like “dance” Drake, they may be happy to know that he’s working on his next project. “I got another Scary Hours pack coming too, in a little bit,” he said. “I’m gonna slap some head tops off with the Scary Hours pack. I love this shit.”

Honestly, Nevermind is breaking new ground and records for Drake. In just one hour, the 14-track album has become the biggest dance album in Apple Music history with the most first-day streams worldwide.

Wendy Williams Reveals What's Next for Her Following Eponymous Talk Show's End After 13 Years

The end of an era. The Wendy Williams Show officially concluded after almost 14 years on Friday, with a tribute to the series' absent host from Sherri Shepherd, who has been filling in for Wendy Williams this season.

During what she called a "big day," Shepherd, 55, told the audience it was an "honor" and a "privilege" to have been tapped to guest host the program alongside other stars amid Williams' absence.

Shepherd also paid tribute to the "incredible staff and crew" on the show, as well as the "loyal Wendy watchers," before paying tribute to Williams herself.

"You have to say, there is nobody like Wendy Williams. From her days on the radio, to ruling daytime talk for 13 seasons, Wendy earned her title as the queen of all media," she said. "If you think about it, Wendy Williams changed daytime talk with her unique take on 'Hot Topics,' her one-of-a-kind celebrity interviews, the signature 'Ask Wendy' segments and, of course, y'all, her famous 'How you doin?'"

"And I wanna say: Miss Wendy you are an icon and you are loved by so many, so many," added Shepherd, before the in-studio audience erupted in cheers of Williams' name.

Following the final show, Williams, 57, chatted with Extra, where she told host Billy Bush what comes next for her.

According to Bush, 50, Williams spoke with Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein, the two heads of Debmar-Mercury — the production company that owned The Wendy Williams Show — and they all are on good terms and agreed that it was time for the series to end.

Williams also told Bush that she has plans to release a podcast series with iTunes in the near future.

It was confirmed earlier this month that Williams was officially ending her talk show. "The final original episode of The Wendy Williams Show will air on Friday, June 17th, with a video tribute to the iconic host," a spokesperson for the show told PEOPLE after first exclusively sharing the news with Variety. "The series comes to an end after 13 successful years in syndication."

Back in October 2021, ahead of the talk show's 13th season premiere, Williams' breakthrough COVID-19 case and her ongoing health issues tied to Graves' disease delayed its initial return. The premiere episode was delayed once more to Oct. 18 despite Williams' recovery from COVID-19.

Williams previously went on hiatus from the show in March 2018 and again in May 2020, due to complications with her Graves' disease and hyperthyroidism. She also took a six-week break in early 2019, after fracturing her shoulder. She later revealed that she was also quietly focusing on her sobriety during the leave of absence as well.

Ahead of The Wendy Williams Show's finale, Williams' ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, revealed he was not happy with how things played out for her.

"I feel like it is a travesty on the part of Debmar-Mercury to have such an unceremonious departure without Wendy being involved," he told Entertainment Tonight.

"It is the first time in the history of talk shows for this to be done, especially for a show that has been on for more than 10 years," he continued. "There is absolutely no reason why a bigger celebration that involved Wendy couldn't happen."

"I know the blood, sweat and tears that went into making the show such a success," Hunter added to ET. "I am not happy with the way the show is going out on a personal level and I am truly sorry that the show's fans have to see it go down the way that it is."

Shepherd is now set to debut her own show, Sherri, this fall in The Wendy Williams Show timeslot.

Actor Danny Glover may be 75 years old, but he can still pull a beautiful woman as evidenced by some paparazzi pics of The Color Purple star with his new gorgeous and youthful girlfriend.

However, Glover’s community activism stands out even more.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that the veteran actor would receive The Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, which was presented in January.

He was selected as a recipient of The Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award because of his “humanitarian efforts have brought credit to the motion picture arts industry.” Per Glover’s website, the actor has garnered respect for longtime activism and philanthropic acts. These activities include serving as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Program and serving as UNICEF’s Ambassador.

President Joe Biden Falls Off Bike Near Vacation Home

President Biden took a tumble earlier today — but he’s okay!

via Complex: NBC News reports the accident happened when he was attempting to dismount his bike on Saturday at Cape Henlopen State Park, close to his beach home in Rehoboth, Delaware. He didn’t suffer any injuries.

After falling, U.S. Secret Service Agents scooped him up.

“I’m good,” the president said to reporters, explaining that he got his “foot caught” in the toe cages.

The 79-year-old and First Lady Jill Biden were on a morning ride and Joe wanted to say hello to a crowd near the bike trail. The two had just stopped when he tumbled to the ground. President Biden was thankfully wearing a helmet. Once he regained composure, he spoke with the group of people.

The White House issued a statement, saying the fall was the result of a bike pedal blunder, saying “his foot got caught on the pedal while dismounting and he is fine.” The statement continued, “No medical attention is needed.”

Friday was Joe and Jill Biden’s 45th anniversary, which they spent at their beach home.

Omarion and Mario to face off in Verzuz battle

R&B singers Omarion and Mario are set to be facing off with their biggest hits in a Verzuz battle, Verzuz announced Friday (June 17) night.

During an interview on the Big Tigger Morning Show, Omarion expressed his thoughts on Verzuz and who he thinks has the skill to take him on in a challenge. “I think there’s a few people out there that I could do, but it’s a small class of people who perform like myself,” he said. Recently, Mario went on The Shade Room to say “O would be the only right fit for the people.” Shortly after the speculations as both performers discussed who they’d want to take on in a potential challenge, it’s finally happening.

The battle between the former lead singer of B2K and the “Just a Friend” singer will take place at The Novo in Los Angeles on Thursday, June 23 at 6PM PT/9PM EST. The event is open to the public and fans can buy tickets at VerzuzTV.com. As usual, it will stream on Verzuz TV’s Instagram, Triller and YouTube.

That same night, Verzuz announced that they will give viewers a “bonus” battle featuring Ray J and Bobby V versus Pleasure P and Sammie.

The music series was created by record producers Timbaland and Swizz Beatz during the COVID-19 pandemic as as social media users were able to tune into virtual battles between popular artists in the same genre from the comfort of their homes.

Kevin Hart to open new, plant-based restaurant in Los Angeles

This summer, comedian and actor Kevin Hart will expand his business ventures with a new, plant-based fast food restaurant. The eatery will be called Hart House. Entrepreneur Andy Hooper and former chef Michael Salem (who introduced the Impossible Whopper to Burger King), have partnered with the Night School actor for the new endeavor.

Although the establishment has yet to open, the website is already up and running. Hart House’s preview of the mouth-watering vegan menu advertises items such as the Deluxe Crispy Chick’n, served with “hunny” mustard and pickles, and the Double Burg’r, which features American cheese, Hart House signature sauce, and two plant-based patties. Salads and sides are also available.

Hart House offers “passion for flavor” while having “compassion for our planet.” According to the website, the restaurant was founded to “create a good experience that combines the joy of coming together over food, with the power of purpose.” It adds, “[The] amazing chefs and team members have crafted a 100 percent plant-based menu that delivers ‘can’t-believe-it’ flavor in every bite.”

While the Los Angeles location is scheduled to open this summer, locations in Hollywood and New York are coming soon. The food chain promises to be affordable while having “respect for people, animals and our ecosystem.”

In an exclusive interview posted yesterday (June 16) from Los Angeles Magazine, Hooper shared that “Kevin sort of [conceptualized] this idea at the beginning of the pandemic.” He also stressed the importance of having a menu that everyone can enjoy.

“If you were to just come out and say to folks, ‘Come to my vegan restaurant,’ automatically, there’s two-thirds of the country that just won’t go because they’re thinking to themselves, ‘Oh, vegan food doesn’t taste as good as other food.’ I think it’s important for us to be a restaurant that first and foremost serves a crave-able product that people go out of their way to consume and then at the end we’re like, ‘Hey, by the way, this just happens to be all plant-based,’” Hopper added.

We’ll be on the lookout for updates on the grand opening of Hart House.

Here's Why Lea Michele Didn't Star in 'Funny Girl' on Broadway in the Past

Back in August 2011, it was announced that Lauren Ambrose was going to star in a Broadway revival of Funny Girl. At the time, it was widely speculated that Lea was going to lead the production.

When that production was announced, Glee was just going into its third season, so Lea was clearly busy with her commitments to the series. “There was some very preliminary exploration about her doing it, however she was not available for the production dates so it became a moot point,” her rep told EW at the time.

Flash forward to 2017, Lea talked about Funny Girl during an interview on Watch What Happens Live.

“We were thinking of doing it to do it right after Glee but I did a lot of the songs from Funny Girl on Glee so it felt a like little soon, but I feel really ready to do it now, so maybe we could do it soon,” she said.

After Beanie was cast in the current Broadway revival, Lea talked about the production on the Little Me podcast.

“There’s been so much talk about me coming to Broadway — and not coming to Broadway!” she said in November 2021. “Listen, I am so unbelievably excited to see Funny Girl on Broadway. I cannot wait. I had drinks with [director] Michael [Mayer] the other day, and I just think that Beanie is an incredible choice for the production, and I think it’s going to be so wonderful. I can’t wait to see Jane [Lynch] in it as well.”

“I think that a lot of people always put me in the lane with Funny Girl because, of course, I love the show and the music. But I did get to do a lot of it on Glee,” she added.

2 Actors From Netflix’s ‘The Chosen One’ Are Dead After Cast and Crew Van Crashes in Mexico

Two actors on the Netflix series The Chosen One were killed and six other cast or crew members were injured after the van they were riding in crashed near Mulege on the Baja California Sur peninsula.

Local media reported the crash occurred on June 16, and said the van flipped after running off the road in a desert area. The crew had apparently been working in the nearby Santa Rosalia area at the time.

The accident did not occur on set and the van was in transit from Santa Rosalía to the local airport when the crash took place, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.

The Baja California Department of Culture said Friday that Raymundo Garduño Cruz and Juan Francisco González Aguilar died. The six injured and currently unnamed production members include two other actors and four members of the crew who are all currently stable, according to a source familiar with the situation.

Redrum, the production company behind The Chosen One, has temporarily paused production on the series.

Netflix describes The Chosen One this way: “A 12-year-old boy learns he’s the returned Jesus Christ, destined to save humankind. Based on the comic book series by Mark Millar and Peter Gross.”

Mark Shields Dies: Longtime ‘PBS NewsHour’ Commentator Was 85

Mark Shields, who provided witty, informed and insightful analysis of politics on PBS NewsHour for more than three decades, has died.

Shields was 85. He died of kidney failure at his home in Chevy Chase, Md., on Saturday morning, a spokesperson for NewsHour told Deadline.

Judy Woodruff Announces Plans To Step Down As Anchor Of 'PBS NewsHour,' Will Transition To Reporting And Special Projects

Judy Woodruff, the anchor of NewsHour, wrote on Twitter, “I am heartbroken to share this..the NewsHour’s beloved long-time Friday night analyst Mark Shields, who for decades wowed us with his encyclopedic knowledge of American politics, his sense of humor and mainly his big heart, has passed away at 85, with his wife Anne at his side.”

Shields retired from the regular segments in 2020, having done a regular segment on the broadcast for more than 33 years.

Shields started his career in government and politics in the mid-1960s, first as a legislative assistant and speechwriter for Senator William Proxmire and later for Robert Kennedy’s 1968 presidential campaign, as he helped to organize the California primary. Shields went on to hold senior positions in other presidential campaigns, including those of Edmund Muskie in 1972 and Morris Udall in 1976, and the vice presidential campaign of Sargent Shriver in 1972.

He joined the editorial staff of The Washington Post in 1979, and a year later began writing a column, which has been syndicated to publications around the country.

He also was a guest on other panel shows such as Meet the Press, and was part of the team that launched the CNN series The Capital Gang, which ran from 1988 to 2005.

On NewsHour, his on-screen counterpart in Friday night commentary was David Brooks and, before that, figures such as William Safire, Paul Gigot and, initially, David Gergen.

But unlike so many segments on cable TV pitting pundits from opposite ends of the spectrum, the PBS NewsHour segments were notable for their cordiality.

Brooks called Shields “one of the finest and beloved men I’ve ever known.” in a column he wrote when Shields retired, Brooks said that “we’ve had thousands of disagreements over the years, but never a second of acrimony. Mark radiates a generosity of spirit that improves all who come within his light.”

Information on services was not immediately available. In addition to his wife Anne Hudson Shields, he is survived by their daughter Amy Shields Doyle, son-in-law Christo Doyle, and grandchildren Jack and Frances Doyle.

Shields was born on May 25, 1937 and raised in Weymouth, MA. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1959, with a major in philosophy and a minor in history, and then served in the Marines. He moved to Washington, D.C., in 1964.

When Shields retired from regular commentary on NewsHour, Robert MacNeil, one of the founders of the program, credited him for an “absolute authenticity.”

Gergen said that his “favorite moments in television have been Friday nights with Mark Shields.” “He knows a hell of a lot more about politics than I do, but he had a humility about him as well as a wit that just made him a great partner.”

Burger King Ad Agency Apologizes For Pride-Themed Whopper With ‘Two Tops’ Or ‘Two Bottoms’

Earlier this month in Austria, Burger King announced their Pride-themed whopper, featuring “two tops” or “two bottoms.” After much backlash, the ad agency handling the promotion now apologizes.

For Pride Month 2022, Burger King Austria decided to release a new Pride ad showing off their celebratory Pride Whoppers. Advertising the new promo, the company noted that their classic burger will now arrive with same-sex buns for the first time ever.

For Austrian natives, if they happened to visit any one of their country’s Burger King locations, they would have the option to get a Whopper with either two top buns or two bottom buns. The promo is available countrywide until Monday, June 20.

Meanwhile, in America, Burger King just offered a normal Whopper wrapped in a rainbow wrapper, which read, “We are all the same inside.”

According to a social media post from the Burger King Austria Instagram account, the Pride Whoppers come “with two matching buns for equal love and equal rights.”

The company added, “We stand for the equal rights of all identities and sexual orientations. A little twist to put a smile on your face and remind us to treat each other respectfully and peacefully. No matter who you are and who you love.”

After much backlash online from LGBTQIA+ members and friends, the ad agency handling the promotion reached out to apologize for the misguided campaign.

After being widely criticized and mocked on social media, The Austrian branch of German advertising agency Jung von Matt released a statement on LinkedIn admitting that his team had “messed up.”

Jung von Matt said: “We’ve heard your voices and listened carefully. We are proud of our queer community within our agency. Unfortunately, we still messed up and didn’t check well enough with community members on different interpretations of the Pride Whopper. That’s on us.

The intended message of the Pride Whopper was to spread equal love and equal rights. Our strongest concern is if we offended members of the LGBTQ community with this campaign. If this is the case, we truly apologize.

We’ve learned our lessons and will include experts on communicating with the LGBTQ community for future work as promoting equal love and equal rights will still be a priority for us.”

In addition to the angry messages about the poor taste of the “two tops or two bottoms” advertisement, many people online wondered what Burger King’s true intentions were. Especially if they ever planned to donate any profits from the limited edition burger to any LGBTQIA+ charities and organizations.

Responding to that query, the company said, “We are official partners of Vienna Pride and support the LGBTQIA community.”

Jennifer Lopez Says Her Mom Used To ‘Beat The Sh*t’ Out Of Her As She Reflects On Her Childhood: ‘We Got Into A Fight One Night And I Just Left’

In case you wondered whether Jennifer Lopez was raised by a strict mother, let Jenny From The Block tell you herself that her mom Guadalupe Rodriguez tolerated no sort of disrespect in her home. The “Hustlers” actress opened up about the difficult relationship she shared with the 76-year-old as a teenager and admitted that getting beaten wasn’t out of the ordinary for Jennifer and her sisters Leslie and Lynda. Speaking in her “Halftime” documentary on Netflix, the New Yorker recounted, “She did what she had to do to survive, and it made her strong, but it also made her tough. She beat the s*** out of us.”

Jennifer added that her mom had always been a “super complicated woman” and carries a lot of baggage from her younger years, which made it so important for her to raise young women that could stand on their own two feet without depending on a man once they entered their adult lives.

“I was surrounded by a lot of strong women. My mum is a super complicated woman, and she carries a lot of baggage; she wanted us to be independent and never have to rely on a man,” the mother-of-two shared before admitting that one particular fight had gotten so bad one night, it prompted Jennifer to leave the family home. “My mum was like, “If you’re gonna live in this house, you’re gonna get your education”. We got into a bad fight one night, and I just left.”

Guadalupe, who formerly worked as a salesperson and gym teacher, chimed in and said that butting heads with Jennifer was very common because they disagreed on a lot of things. She acknowledges being “far from the perfect mother” but stressed that all of her daughters were raised with their best interests at heart.

Guadalupe always expected the highest standard in her household, saying it was not so much about being critical but showing that you can always do better. “Jennifer, she gave me the hardest time, to tell you the truth. We butted heads a lot. I was far from the perfect mother. The one thing I can always say, everything I did, I did with their best interest at heart.”

Jennifer’s Netflix documentary saw her touch on many pivotal moments in her exhilarating career, aside from getting to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Other topics included finding herself back together with Ben Affleck — 20 years after they first began dating — and the heavy criticism that came with being a curvier Latina woman in Hollywood.

“There were many times where I was just like, ‘I think I’m just going to quit’. I had to really figure out who I was. And believe in that and not believe in anything else,” Jenner expressed. “When I started working, the beauty ideal was very thin, blonde, tall, not a lot of curves. I grew up around women with curves so it was nothing I was ever ashamed of.”

Kanye West Considering A Yeezus Amusement Park?

*Kanye West is ever on the lookout for a big idea to implement next. Through his many endeavors, West has managed to spread his wings over almost all of the human endeavors right now. But his recent moves, involving the things he is busy trademarking, could be a precursor to what he intends to do in the near future.

For instance, Donda Sports has received attention for signing Aaron Donald and Jaylen Brown. This has been partly interpreted to mean he is considering entering the amusement park game.

On May 27, West, through his Mascotte Holdings, Inc. company, filed 17 new trademark applications based on his Yeezus name, according to trademark attorney Josh Gerben.

This can only mean West plans to apply Yeezus name on stuff such as games, sporting equipment, buttons, clothing, bags, household items, and cosmetics, amusement parks, blockchain-based currencies, and non-fungible tokens (cryptocurrencies and NFTs), stores, toys, among others.

Cardi B Helping Playboy Rake in Huge Returns

*Cardi B seems to be on a winning path. Last year, she was named Playboy Magazine’s first-ever Creative Director in Residence. From the time she took on the position, the Grammy-award-winning rapper has helped the sex entertainment giant garner huge returns.

PLBY, Playboy’s parent company, recently came out to announce that they finished out the first business quarter “strong” after witnessing a 63% growth compared to last year. They thanked Cardi B, Love & Hip Hop alum, for making it happen.

“Robust demand for our iconic brand and consumer products, and continued progress on our digital roadmap for Centerfold, are coming together into one cohesive Playboy ecosystem creating a flywheel driving long-term growth,” Ben Kohn, PLBY’s CEO, said in a statement, according to Hot New Hip Hop. “With Playboy’s massive global reach and Centerfold as a valuable engine for organic customer acquisition, we believe we can drive significant growth across PLBY Group’s product offerings.”

In December 2021, Cardi B became the company’s Founding Creative Director of CENTERFOLD, their new sex-positive social media platform, which helps the world’s top adult content creators connect directly with their fans by allowing them to create personalized content and e-commerce items for their communities, according to Madamenoire.

Chris Rock Reportedly Turns Down Hosting the Emmy Awards

The Emmy Awards are aiming for big ratings, requesting Chris Rock and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to host the 2022 ceremony.

Both men have been approached to lead the show, though it looks like at least one of the actors has turned down the gig. Chris Rock has rejected the offer, while The Rock has yet to make a decision. However, Deadline reports that the former pro-wrestler is unlikely to accept the job.

Since the infamous Oscar’s slap, the “Down to Earth” comedian has been highly sought after for hosting positions, with awards shows thirsty for viewers likely to tune in, hoping Rock will reference his run-in with Will Smith. Rock stated in April that he would only address the incident when someone cut a big enough check for him to do so.

The Rock is simply too busy with his latest film, “Black Adam,” debuting later this year, and other movie projects in the works.

Last year, comedian Cedric the Entertainer delivered the laughs as host of the 2021 Emmys. He kicked off the show honoring late rapper Biz Markie and appeared to be a big hit with the crowd. It is unclear if an offer has been extended to him to return.

The Emmys will take place on September 12th, so showrunners still have a few months to secure a host for the evening.

Pharrell Williams Surprises NAACP Youth Leaders By Paying Off Their Student Loans

Pharrell Williams made a few HBCU students and recent grads “happy” after paying off their student loans.

The producer made the announcement during an NAACP panel apart of his Something In The Water festival. The panel discussed the student debt crisis among Black students in school.

NAACP President Derrick Johnson shared photos of the moment the five recipients were made aware of Williams’ generosity. Johnson also made that moment the perfect opportunity to call for President Joe Biden to relieve all student debt.

“Priceless. The moment five young NAACP leaders learn, @Pharrell is cancelling all their student debt.

@POTUS, it’s your turn now to do the same for all Americans plagued by student debt.”

Wisdom Cole, the NAACP’s national director of youth and college, applauded Williams and pointed out how debt specifically affects the Black community.

“Pharrell forever changed their lives,” Cole said. “Student debt continues to disproportionately plague the Black community and crush opportunities for so many Black people. It is time to reduce the racial wealth gap. It is time for President Biden to fulfill his promise.”

The promise Cole is referring to is Biden’s 2020 campaign promise to eliminate the national student debt.

“I am considering dealing with some debt reduction,” Biden said in April. “I am not considering $50,000 debt reduction. But I’m in the process of taking a hard look at whether or not there will be additional debt forgiveness.”

Collectively, more than 43 million Americans have $1.6 trillion in federal student loan debt.

Cam Newton Reflects on “Humanistic Mistake” of Fathering a Child Outside of His Relationship With Longtime Girlfriend

Cam Newton opened up about the “humanistic mistake” he made by fathering a child outside his relationship.

Last week, Cam reflected on his past cheating scandal during an episode of “The Pivot” podcast. He began by explaining why he chose not to hide his son, Caesar Lorenzo Newton, whom he shares with model La Reina Shaw.

“Honestly, it was a situation, a personal situation for me,” Newton said. “My longtime girlfriend at the time, you know, we had a family. And I made a mistake, I hurt her, and I jeopardized our family at that time, and I had a child outside of our relationship.”

Newton and his longtime girlfriend, Shakia Proctor, split shortly after the news broke about Caesar’s birth. Newton confirmed he was a father of seven with an Instagram post on Caesar’s first birthday.

Speaking on being unfaithful to Proctor, Newton says, “And, coming from where I come from, being the person who I am. Nobody would ever speak on it because we got a lot of people who are in high powers still make humanistic mistakes. And I can honestly say I made a humanistic mistake.”

He continued, “When Caesar Lorenzo Newton was born, I then stopped caring because I can only be the best person that I can be. And painting this picture of a person that, ‘Aw man, I gotta act this type of way, aw man, I gotta be this type of person.’ I got so many kids now that, if I’m not Superman to them, I’ll be damned if I allow the world to call me Superman.”

“It’s just really putting certain things into perspective, and, you know, it was embarrassing for me. And honestly, it is embarrassing to talk about, but everybody don’t really wanna talk about real situations in life, and that molded me. I just stopped caring what people thought about it because I come home, and I have a due diligence to be the best father that I can possibly be… and sometimes you fall short. What are you supposed to do? Cry?… I would never have a hidden child out there. I would never not speak on the facts because there are a lot of people that can live vicariously through me and be better from it.”
