Here's what the RHOA: Porsha's Family Matters couple has planned for their upcoming nuptials.
Porsha Williams and her fiancé, Simon Guobadia, are spilling the tea about their wedding, and it sounds like it is going to be nothing short of major.
Porsha recently dished on her upcoming nuptials while playing a round of "This or That: Wedding Edition" in the below video posted on Bravo's Instagram on December 26. "We deserve to go all out. Like, I want to experience every little thing there is about getting married, and so does he!" Porsha shared in the clip, before declaring, "We're about to wear you all the way out. Like, people are gonna be like, 'Damn, ain't y'all already married? Like, we're sick of y'all!'"
She went on to share some of her hopes for the big day, including that she wants to have an outdoor wedding that is "full on traditional." When it comes to her bridal look, Porsha said that she wants to have her hair down and definitely wear a veil. "And a long ass veil at that!" she noted. "Yes! Veil as long as the runway."
When it comes to some details of the ceremony, Porsha wants to have it all. She shared that she hopes to have a hometown and a destination wedding, as well as a DJ and a band. As you can see, Porsha is planning on going big for these nuptials. "I am marrying an amazing Nigerian man, honey. It is not going to be intimate," she said. "It is going to be huge, probably [laughs]. It's gonna be big, but I want it to have an intimate feel."
So, what does Simon think about all of Porsha's predictions for their wedding? Well, it looks like he is on board with it all — and so much more — as he expressed in his response to the video in a post on Instagram on December 27. "Woke up to this [Bravo] Promo. Apparently [Porsha] has not forgotten what she said months ago," Simon wrote. "I’m here to promise, she will be getting her three weddings."
Porsha Williams Dropped New Details About Her Wedding Plans
Porsha previously shared her desire to have multiple weddings during an episode of DISH Nation shortly after she and Simon got engaged in May (get all the details on his romantic proposal in the above Bravo Insider exclusive). “He’s African, so we’re going to have a native law and custom ceremony and a regular wedding," Porsha revealed. "And then we’re going to have another wedding at one of the houses that are out of the country."
The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Porsha's Family Matters couple recently marked a major milestone on their way to the altar. The couple celebrated their first Christmas together, along with Porsha's 2-year-old daughter, Pilar Jhena McKinley. Porsha posted the merriest photos of the trio celebrating the holiday together on Instagram, with Simon sharing in the comments to one post, "[My] fam. Today was everything."

#HipHopNews: LL Cool J, Slick Rick, Krs-One, Kurtis Blow & More Expected At Kangol Kid's Funeral
BROOKLYN, NY – U.T.F.O legend Kangol Kid (real name Shaun Shiller Fequiere) lost his battle with Stage 4 colon cancer on December 18, just 10 months after receiving his diagnosis. While receiving treatment at North Shore University Hospital, the 54-year-old had a parade of visitors who were trying to keep his spirits lifted, including The Sugarhill Gang’s Wonder Mike and LL COOL J who paid a visit shortly before he died.
Now, it looks like Ladies Love Cool James will always play a role in saying goodbye to Kangol Kid. On Tuesday (December 28), veteran Hip Hop promoter Van Silk shared an Instagram post unveiling the details for Kangol’s forthcoming celebration of life. The event is expected to take place at on Sunday (January 2) at the Polygon Club in Brooklyn.
A roster of special guests are expected to attend, including LL COOL J, KRS-One, Slick Rick, Kool DJ Red Alert, U.T.F.O. member Mix Master Ice, Kurtis Blow, the Beastie Boys’ former DJ Hurricane, Sway Calloway, Roxanne Shanté, Melle Mel and Whodini’s Grandmaster Dee.
The two-day affair to honor Kangol Kid’s life will also include a viewing and prayer service at Caribe Funeral Home in Brooklyn on Sunday followed by a repast at the Caribe Banquet Hall later that afternoon. The interment will take place the following day at Clover Leaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge, New Jersey.
Kangol Kid received the grim diagnosis in February but put up a valiant fight. Speaking to Pix11 News in March, Kangol said he was feeling better after his 10 centimeters of his colon was removed and shared the graphic details of what led him to get checked.
“There was definitely discomfort in the belly,” he explained. “One of the signs you would see immediately is bleeding, and you’ll notice this as you wipe or you’ll see it in your stool, so I was definitely experiencing that. But what really set it off was I’m in the comfort of my own room and I had to pass gas, and it came out with a substance … it was a bloody mucus.”
Much like Van Silk, who’s currently battling Stage 2 colon cancer, Kangol Kid encouraged those around him to get checked. African-Americans are 20 percent more likely to be diagnosed with colon cancer than any other group of people and 40 percent more likely to die from the disease, according to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.

Madden, 85, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, according to the league.
"On behalf of the entire NFL family, we extend our condolences to Virginia, Mike, Joe and their families," said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Madonna Accuses Tory Lanez Of Illegally Using One Of Her Songs On His New Album
Did Tory Lanez rip-off one of Madonna‘s hit songs? Earlier this month, Tory Lanez (real name Daystar Shemuel Shua Peterson) unveiled a brand-new album dubbed Alone At Prom, which he describes as an “80s album” in online promo. However, as Tory Lanez continues to promote his latest work, the album’s eighth track–“Pluto’s Last Comet”–has garnered some negative attention from a massive 80s superstar: Madonna.
Last week, Madonna jumped into Tory Lanez‘s comment section and accused him of basing “Pluto’s Last Comet” off of her hit “Into the Groove” anthem. She specifically wrote:
“Read your messages tor illegal usage of my song get into the groove [sic]!”
Judging by Madonna‘s comment, she seemingly also sent Tory Lanez a DM over the matter. It’s also worth noting that it’s currently unclear whether or not she’s pursuing a legal case over the alleged “illegal usage” of her song.
Regarding her accusation, Madonna‘s main gripe about Tory Lanez‘s “Pluto’s Last Comet” is that she believes the song’s opening instrumental is a rip-off of “Into the Groove.” You can listen to both tracks down below and judge the matter for yourself: TOREY and now MADONNA
Tory Lanez has not publicly acknowledged Madonna or her claims. Similarly, Madonna hasn’t issued any further comments about the matter.
Diddy Cancels New Year’s Eve Party for Second Year in a Row Due to COVID-19
Sources close to the outlet said Diddy made the call on Monday night as Omicron cases surge in Florida and around the country. The lavish party—which would have included 500 of Diddy’s friends—was last held in 2019 at Story Nightclub in Miami, where Fat Joe, Meek Mill, DaBaby, and DJ Khaled were just a few names that made up the star-studded guest list.
The cancelation of Diddy’s party is just the latest big year-end celebration to be put on ice. Fox announced that its New Year’s Eve Toast & Roast 2022, which was set to be hosted Ken Jeong and Joel McHale would no longer go forward.
“While we are confident in the health and safety protocols for Fox’s New Year’s Eve Toast & Roast 2022, the recent velocity of the spread of Omicron cases has made it impossible to produce a live special in Times Square that meets our standards,” the network said in a statement.
Despite Fox’s decision, NBC still plans to move forward with Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, which will be hosted by Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson. Meanwhile, Bill de Blasio said that while it has been significantly scaled back in size, New York City’s annual ball drop celebration in Times Square is still a go.
On Monday, Dr. Anthony Fauci strongly urged Americans to reconsider their New Year’s Eve plans as cases continue to soar.
“When you are talking about a New Year’s Eve party, where you have 30, 40, 50 people celebrating, you do not know the status of the vaccination—I would recommend strongly, stay away from that this year,” Fauci told CNN’s New Day. “There will be other years to do that, but not this year.
Source Reveals Why Kanye West Bought a Home Across the Street from Ex Kim Kardashian
An insider is sharing some details about Kanye West‘s latest real estate purchase.
It was recently revealed that the Donda rapper had purchased the $4.5 million home located across the street from his estranged wife Kim Kardashian‘s house, where she lives with their four kids, North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2.
A source recently spoke with E! News about Kanye‘s decision to buy the home.
“It made perfect sense for him to have a place near the kids,” the insider told the outlet. “He scooped it up right when it hit the market in early December and the escrow closed right before Christmas.”
They added that the rapper “plans to tear [the current residence] down and rebuild,” explaining that the 1-acre lot the Calabasas property sits on is “perfect to be developed into whatever he dreams up.”
“It will take time to get permits and plans and he won’t be able to live there for awhile. But he is excited about it and so are the kids,” the source continued.
The home, which was built in 1955, has 5 bedrooms and is just over 3,650 square feet. It also features a swimming pool and horse stable
Issa Rae Says The Music Industry Is “The Worst I’ve Come Across” And Adds It Is Filled With “Criminals”
Issa Rae discussed her experience dealing with the music industry after starting her own record label “Raedio” and concluding the last season of HBO’s “Insecure.”
During a Q&A with the Los Angeles Times, Issa Rae was asked if the music industry was a place for “good ideas to flourish” to which she replied that it was the worst industry to work with. “Absolutely not. It’s probably the worst industry I’ve ever come across,” Rae explained.
She continued to say, “I thought Hollywood was crazy. The music industry, it has to start all over again. There are lots of conflicts of interest. Archaic mentalities. Villains and criminals! It’s an addiction industry, and I really feel for artists who need to get into it. … It was something shocking”
According to Variety, the actress didn’t get into further personal details about her experience but she did reveal it was a lot of work to add music to soundtracks and learned about how artists were treated on various labels.
“I do not want to be too specific, but even with making our own appointments [for soundtracks] with labels or artists, it would be so intricate. And to find out how artists were treated on other labels … When I myself am a creator and know what I want in relation to a relationship with a production company or a producer, I would like to think that we are more artist-friendly than much of other brands and companies out there. I want to renew things.”
However, on a more positive note, Rae also noted that she made sure to include indie artists particularly female singers and rappers in “Insecure.”
“We highlighted female singers and rappers in a distinct way when others weren’t.”
‘The Music Man’ canceled after Hugh Jackman gets COVID-19
Hugh Jackman’s Broadway production “The Music Man” has been postponed until Jan. 1 after he announced he contracted the coronavirus. The actor won’t return until at least Jan. 6.
The 53-year-old tweeted his diagnosis on Tuesday alongside a short clip of himself wearing a mask.
“Just wanted you to hear it from me,” he wrote. “I tested positive for COVID. Mild symptoms and as soon as I’m cleared … looking forward to getting back to The Winter Garden! @MusicManBway.”
In the video, he reiterated his tweet, saying: “I just wanted you to hear it from me that I tested positive this morning for COVID,” Jackman said in a video posted to Twitter and Instagram. “My symptoms are like a cold. I have a scratchy throat and a bit of a runny nose, but I’m fine. And I’m just gonna do everything I can to get better ASAP. And as soon as I’m cleared, I’ll be back on stage, heading to River City.”
“Please stay safe,” the “X-Men” star continued. “Be healthy, be kind.”
Representatives for the show told EW that performances have been canceled through Jan. 1 and tickets can be refunded or exchanged.
Despite many Broadway shows being closed due to the surge in COVID-19 cases, Jackman couldn’t help but hype up his show earlier this month.
“I’ve just arrived at the theater, and it is our first preview tonight,” he shared in a video on Instagram on Dec. 20. “I don’t know how many months — years this date has been in my head, but it feels like a long time. I am just so grateful and so … ah … blessed to be here in this position and I am so excited to share this show with you all.”
On Dec. 24, his co-star Sutton Foster became unavailable for the show’s fourth preview. Swing actor and understudy Kathy Voytko stepped in for the 46-year-old within an eight-hour notice.
“It’s not only happening here … but all over Broadway,” Jackman explained shortly after the preview, in footage captured by actress Katherine Winter. “This is a time we’ve never known. We’re in our fourth preview, we’re all just sort of learning so swings and understudies have not had a chance to learn.”
Betty White Reveals Her Secrets to a Happy Life at 100: 'I'm So Lucky to Be in Such Good Health'
Betty White is gearing up to celebrate her centennial birthday on Jan. 17!
In this week's cover story, White tells PEOPLE exclusively how she feels about turning 100 years old. "I'm so lucky to be in such good health and feel so good at this age," says the veteran actress. "It's amazing."
According to White, being "born a cockeyed optimist" is the key to her upbeat nature. "I got it from my mom, and that never changed," she says. "I always find the positive."
As for her diet, White jokes: "I try to avoid anything green. I think it's working."
White has had a dream career in Hollywood. She had unforgettable roles on The Golden Girls and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Later in her career, she had iconic parts on Hot in Cleveland and in the 2009 film The Proposal.
Nowadays, White enjoys a quiet life in Los Angeles playing crossword puzzles snd card games. She also likes to watch animal documentaries, Jeopardy! and sports, particularly golf. White, who is a longtime animal welfare advocate, is also a longtime supporter of the Wildlife Learning Center, the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Actors and Others for Animals.
And her golden legacy still lives on. As part of PEOPLE's cover story, White's famous friends share their experiences with the "very funny" actress.
"She'd come on my show, [The Carol Burnett Show], and if there was a tinge of risqué humor in one of our sketches, she'd roll with it and make it even funnier and add a little wink to show that she was thinking of something sexy," says Carol Burnett. "She's not a stand-up. She's not a jokester. It's the way she can twist a line to get a laugh."
White's The Proposal castmates Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds and Mary Steenburgen have nothing but praise for her as well.
"Timing isn't easy in comedy, because you have to navigate other people's timing. Betty pivots like I have never seen, making it look seamless," Bullock, 57, says. "The rest of us just remain silent and pray we're not cut out of the scene."
Bullock also says she hopes White embraces her birthday "the same way she has celebrated every day of her life with humor, kindness and a vodka on ice, toasting to the fact that she's a badass who has left us all in the dust."
Britney Spears Gives A ‘F*ck You’ To Her Parents: ‘My Family Embarrassed Me And Hurt Me Deeply’
Now that Britney Spears is free from her conservatorship after 13 years, the singer is living life to the fullest. She’s jetted off to a private vacation with her fiancé and posted topless pictures on Instagram just for the hell of it, but she’s also been able to open up more about her conservatorship experience now more than ever. In a recent confessional Instagram post, the singer discussed how her family “deeply” hurt and embarrassed her over the years, saying she’s only now on her way to bouncing back.
After posting a series of prayers on Instagram and writing about her experience with faith over the years, Spears opened up about her music, career, family issues, and her insecurities. The singer has revealed her rigorous work schedule in the past, but she also mentioned that she was in “denial” of her situation because she didn’t want to “cause conflict.” Spears says she has now even lost the drive to make music as “a way of saying ‘F*ck You'” to her family:
“I had an experience three years ago where I stopped believing in God !!!! From every angle I was being hurt for no reason and my family was hurting me […] I screamed alone a lot and I kept all that pain to myself !!!! They say go to the source for healing … the person who hurt you … go to them and tell them … I’ve never gotten to do that. I chose the fake denial ‘everything’s totally fine’ approach because I didn’t want to cause conflict. I was NICE, FAKE and I was absolutely screaming inside. I wanted to be nice but what they did to my heart was unforgivable! I asked for 13 years to perform new songs and remixes of my old songs …. I had two months off in between each show settings for four years in Vegas … and every time I asked I was told “No…” It was a set up to make me fail yet I knew exactly what I wanted my fans to see. […]
So much wasted time to only embarrass me and humiliate me and I guess it seems odd to most now why I don’t even do my music anymore… that’s just the surface issues. People have no idea the awful things that were done to me personally … and after what I’ve been through, I’m scared of people and the business!!!! They really hurt me !!!!! Not doing my music anymore is a way of saying ‘F*ck You’ in a sense when it only actually benefits my family by ignoring my real work […] Honestly my family embarrassed me and hurt me deeply… so tooting my own horn and seeing my past accomplishments reflecting back at me actually helped. To the outside world it must seem like I’m extremely insecure and if people really knew what I went through, I think they would understand COMPLETELY where I’m coming from! It’s a shame though that people don’t like the truth!”
WOW!
Magic Johnson Says He’s ‘Not Looking Forward To’ Upcoming Showtime Lakers
Basketball fans, more specifically Laker fans who remember the team’s championship run in the ’80s, should be excited for the upcoming Showtime Lakers series coming to HBO Max next year. Among those who aren’t excited about it is Magic Johnson.
“I’m not looking forward to it. I’m going to leave it at that,” Magic told TMZ Sports.
Magic explained that he’s not excited about the series because he’s working on his own project.
“No, we got different shows coming out,” Magic said. “I got one, then you got Jeanie Buss got one on Showtime coming out. Those are the ones I’m looking forward to.”
The series, Winning Time: The Rise Of The Lakers Dynasty, drops in March 2022 and stars John C. Riley as Jerry Buss, Quincy Isaiah as Magic Johnson, and Solomon Hughes as Kareem Abdul Jabbar. The series will focus on different players’ personal and professional lives and the team through their five championship runs through the 1980s.
Cedric the Entertainer Defends Travis Scott Against Astroworld Tragedy
It’s been nearly two months since the Astroworld tragedy left ten dead and hundreds injured. While Travis Scott continues to deal with the fallout of the “concert from hell,” a certain comedian has come to his defense.
Many people think the rapper is to blame for the festival tragedy, but Cedric the Entertainer disagrees.
During a recent interview on “The Domenick Nati Show,” the comedian discussed the allegations against Scott and said that he shouldn’t be held accountable for what transpired at his event. Instead, he believes law enforcement should be blamed.
“I looked at some of the videos and everything, I mean, the police were right there in front of them, and they’re not reacting,” he said. “That’s their job.”
He added, “Never was he up on stage yelling, ‘Let’s f**k them up and turn it up and let’s go and let’s ger wilder,'” Cedric said. “He didn’t incite it. I really wouldn’t like him to take the blame for that.”
The Barbershop actor drew comparisons to when he performed for a crowd of 3,000, and a fight broke out. He believes the complaints should be directed at the Houston Police Department for lack of security and lack of awareness of concertgoers’ cries for help.
Cedric said his venue was much smaller than Astroworld and that even for him, it was difficult to tell what was happening on stage, so he could only imagine what the rappers experienced.
“For the most part, he’s there to entertain. He’s in an entertainment vibe. He’s got a very hype show, he’s jumping, he’s hopping around, lights, explosions, you know, it’s that!” Cedric exclaimed
During an interview with Charlamagne the God, Scott broke his silence to address the controversy. He claimed that he had no knowledge of the chaos in the crowd until it was too late.
In November, Scott’s Lawyer called to end “finger-pointing” regarding the investigation and urged authorities to focus so “we can truly identify what occurred and how we can prevent anything like this from happening again.
Birdman Accused of Not Paying Rent for 5 Months, Allegedly Owes $147K
Birdman’s landlord wants him out immediately after accusing the music mogul of not paying his rent for 5 months.
In court documents obtained by Radar Online, the company Cycad Management issued Bryan Williams aka Birdman for breach of contract.
According to the lawsuit, Birdman agreed to rent the property for $33k a month.
The home in question is a 7-bedroom, 9-bathroom, 7,509 sq. ft. mansion on Bel Air Road. The property listing reads, “Floor to ceiling windows allow plenty of light into a very spacious living area. This home has hosted many A-listers and celebrities who have all had raving reviews.”
A verbal agreement was reached between the two, however, Birdman refused to sign the paperwork. Cycad is now claiming that Birdman stopped paying his rent five months ago.
“At present, Defendants are very delinquent — nearly 5 months delinquent in rent — and also owe Plaintiff other monies for cleaning services rendered at the Rental Property at Defendant’s request,” the suit reads.
At the time, the company allegedly wanted full payment but Birdman ignored their letters, according to the lawsuit. Cycad alleges Birdman owes them $141k in overdue rent through December 31, 2021. He also owes $6,624 for a cleaning bill that has yet to be paid and owes the company $147,624 in total.
They contend, however, that the reasonable daily rental value is $1,100 per day and that Birdman must vacate the premises immediately.
“Beginning January 1, 2022, Plaintiff will continue to suffer daily damages each day that Defendant remains in possession of the Rental Property.”
The corporation is asking that Birdman not stay through December 31 and pay the $147k plus interest.
AND FINALLY FROM “THE CRAZY PEOPLE SHOPPING AT WALMART” FILES
CRIED FOR THEIR LOVED ONES
As hilarious as the situation is, it does feel a bit tragic.
HAVE A GREAT DAY ALL!!!
