Latin Star Maluma for L’Officiel Hommes Magazine!
Maluma is on the new cover of L’Officiel Hommes magazine, which marks the global magazine’s 100th anniversary issue. In the interview, the pop superstar opens up about starring in “Marry Me” opposite Jennifer Lopez, his rise to fame, and the Kim Kardashian rumors.
Where did the rumor that you’re dating Kim Kardashian come from? “I don’t even know! Right? We were together at the Dior show. I met her for the first time there. I was also there with Kourtney. People just started talking about it. I don’t know why they started asking her that. Maybe because she was getting her divorce and everything, you know? But no, we are good friends. We don’t talk that often, but yeah, we are good friends and we always wish the best for each other.”
You’re going to be in the upcoming J.Lo movie, Marry Me. What was your mindset like when you were on set, trying to learn a new art form? “I got nervous. I was there with Owen Wilson, too. That was my first movie, and it was a Hollywood movie, you know? When I went to the set for the first time, I felt that I was made for it. And well, working with Owen Wilson was difficult because he’s a big, big actor. But the first scene when we saw each other he was like, Wow, man, you’re doing amazing. For me, that was everything to calm my nerves. It was a beautiful experience working with Jennifer Lopez—she’s such a master. She’s got a lot of discipline. She loves having everything on point. I learned a lot about her. I’m not tired of talking about Marry Me, because it’s one of the biggest dreams I’ve had in my life.”
You’ve really crossed over from the Latin world to become a global pop superstar. With Papi Juancho, the album from last year, you went back to your roots a bit. How do you juggle your Latin American audience with your global audience? “It is very difficult, to be honest. But I just try to keep it real—to explode my essence, you know? I always talk about this. I don’t feel that I have to sing in English to go to different markets. I just want to be me and enjoy the music that I really love doing. If people want to listen to it, I’m very grateful. But if not, there are a lot of artists out there, and if they want to listen to songs in English, it’s fine too. Right now I feel like my essence is working. What I’m doing is working. And hopefully people can enjoy it as much as I do. When I’m straight to my roots, I feel people can feel it too.”
Coming up, did you always imagine you’d go global? “I always wanted to be a global star. People in high school used to laugh at me. And of course my family, I don’t know. They were kind of afraid I wouldn’t make it. Then I started working, and I had a lot of discipline. I feel like I had the keys to make it happen. I’m in the middle of the route, but it’s going to happen.”
#RHOA: So Cynthia Bailey Was Offered A Contract To Be A ‘Friend’?
Cynthia Bailey recently announced her exit from the Real Housewives of Atlanta after being a main cast member since the show’s third season in 2010. But she had the chance to still stay connected to the show even though she was giving up her peach. On E! News’ Daily Pop, she said Bravo asked if she wanted to be a friend of the show.
“Ironically, I actually introduced the ‘friend’ contract on the show, but that’s neither here nor there,” she said. “And I thought, ‘You know what? That may be a perfect way for me to transition. I don’t have to commit completely fully to being a Housewife, and I can be a friend and kind of phase myself off the show.’ And then I decided, you know what, cut the cord.”
The 54-year-old beauty said she had a lot of time to ponder about her decision while the show was on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Ten years is a good run but that said, with me just thinking about it, then the whole thing happened with us going on hiatus so it gave me more time to think about it and then I got really used to not going back.”
Bailey also wanted to shut down claims that her decision to exit the show was influenced by her husband Mike Hill.
“Listen, let me correct the streets,” she continued. “Mike has always been super supportive of me, for sure. At the end of the day, he wants me to do what is going to be best for me and what’s happy for me.”
Bailey said that even though she is bidding farewell to RHOA, it won’t be the last time we see her on reality television. For now, she just needs some time away.
“I need a year,” she said. “I need a break. I need a drama break, I do. I just need a minute. I’m not saying never ever ever.”

Why Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp All Went Down Yesterday!
Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus outage knocked every corner of Mark Zuckerberg’s empire offline on Monday. It’s a social media blackout that can most charitably be described as “thorough” and seems likely to prove particularly tough to fix.
Facebook itself has not confirmed the root cause of its woes, but clues abound on the internet. The company’s family of apps effectively fell off the face of the internet at 11:40 am ET, according to when its Domain Name System records became unreachable. DNS is often referred to as the internet’s phone book; it’s what translates the host names you type into a URL tab—like facebook.com—into IP addresses, which is where those sites live.
DNS mishaps are common enough, and when in doubt, they're the reason why a given site has gone down. They can happen for all kinds of wonky technical reasons, often related to configuration issues, and can be relatively straightforward to resolve. In this case, though, something more serious appears to be afoot.
“Facebook's outage appears to be caused by DNS; however that's a just symptom of the problem,” says Troy Mursch, chief research officer of cyberthreat intelligence company Bad Packets. The fundamental issue, Mursch says—and other experts agree—is that Facebook has withdrawn the so-called Border Gateway Protocol route that contains the IP addresses of its DNS nameservers. If DNS is the internet’s phone book, BGP is its navigation system; it decides what route data takes as it travels the information superhighway.
“You can think of it like a game of telephone,” but instead of people playing, it's smaller networks letting each other know how to reach them, says Angelique Medina, director of product marketing at the network monitoring firm Cisco ThousandEyes. “They announce this route to their neighbor and their neighbor will propagate it out to their peers.”
It’s a lot of jargon, but easy to put plain: Facebook has fallen off the internet’s map. If you try to ping those IP addresses right now? “The packets end up in a black hole,” Mursch says.
The obvious and still unresolved question is why those BGP routes disappeared in the first place. It’s not a common ailment, especially at this scale or for this duration. During the outage, Facebook didn't say beyond a tweet that it’s “working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.” After service came trickling back late Monday afternoon, it sent a statement that still lacked any technical detail. "To everyone who was affected by the outages on our platforms today: we’re sorry," the company said. "We know billions of people and businesses around the world depend on our products and services to stay connected. We appreciate your patience as we come back online."
The internet infrastructure experts who spoke to WIRED all suggested the likeliest answer was a misconfiguration on Facebook’s part. “It appears that Facebook has done something to their routers, the ones that connect the Facebook network to the rest of the internet,” says John Graham-Cumming, CTO of internet infrastructure company Cloudflare, who stressed that he doesn’t know the details of what happened. After all, he says, the internet is essentially a network of networks, each advertising its presence to the other. For once, Facebook has stopped advertising.
Which also means that more than just Facebook’s external services are affected. You can’t use “Login with Facebook” on third-party sites, for instance. And since the company’s own internal networks can’t reach the outside internet, its employees reportedly can’t get much done today either. (Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri even tweeted that “it does feel like a snow day.”)
That could also help explain why it’s taking so long to get back up and running. In 2019, a Google Cloud outage prevented Google engineers from getting online to fix the Google Cloud outage keeping them offline. It seems at least possible that Facebook is stuck in a similar catch-22, unable to reach the internet to fix the BGP routing issue that would let it reach the internet.
The good news is that once Facebook is able to revert whatever configuration got it into this, it shouldn’t take long to be back in business. “When it’s corrected, the traffic will really start flowing,” says Medina.
Meanwhile, the rest of the internet has felt Facebook’s absence. Or, more specifically, DNS resolvers like Cloudflare—services that convert those domain names into IP addresses—have seen as much as double the usual amount of traffic, as people keep trying to load Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp to no avail. Those requests aren’t enough to overwhelm the system, but the surge is a reminder of just how interdependent, and sometimes fragile, the internet really is.
“It’s not so much the dramatic story of the whole internet could fall over, or some nonsense like that,” says Graham-Cumming. "It’s more that it’s an interconnected system and it stays up partly because of technical things and partly because of people who keep an eye on it day and night.”

Dr. Dre ‘affair’ unveiled in alleged mistress’ 2019 labor lawsuit!
As Dr. Dre’s bitter divorce battle continues to play out in Los Angeles court, filings dealing with a separate case involving one of his alleged mistresses — and their alleged child — have surfaced.
Dre and his estranged wife, Nicole Young, have been arguing over a prenup and other thorny legal issues. As part of the dispute, Young’s legal team moved to have Dre’s alleged mistresses — Jillian Speer, Kili Anderson, and Crystal Rogers — deposed in his divorce case.
Rumors of Dre’s alleged affair with Anderson have been circulating in tabloid reports since 2013, and there have been rumors the pair have a child together.
Dre has denied the affair. However, in 2019 court papers defending Anderson and her company Body Bakery in another case filed against her in the Superior Court of California by a former employee of the tanning salon, Brian Zerba, for wrongful termination, Dre’s name comes up.
Tucked into a laundry list of alleged fireable offenses committed by Zerba, who was employed in 2016, the papers claim: “Additionally, the owner of the tanning salon Kili Anderson, is said to have been in a relationship with the famous rapper Dr. Dre, with whom she had a child, and therefore she required all at will employees to sign a confidentiality agreement that they would not pry into her life and would keep all things that they learned about her life private.”
The papers continue, “Plaintiff constantly violated this term of his employment by asking other employees what they knew about Ms. Anderson, her child, and what was the nature of her relationship with Dr. Dre.”
Anderson’s lawyers further allege that the suit against her is “a shakedown,” and, “Plaintiff believes that defendant has money because she is involved in a relationship with a celebrity/artist.”
Lawyers for Anderson and Dre did not immediately get back to us.
Last April, Anderson and the other two alleged mistresses were fined $2,500 for “resisting” an effort to subpoena them. Their lawyer, Kris LeFan, had filed a motion claiming none of them had “relevant” information in Dre’s divorce case, which the judge disagreed with.
Young, 51, first filed to divorce in 2020. The couple was married for 24 years and has adult children.
Dre — who is reportedly worth $800 million — has so far been ordered to pay millions in legal fees to Young, and is ponying up $293,306 per month in temporary spousal support.

Mike Tyson Says He’s Down to Fight One of the Paul Brothers!
*Mike Tyson says he’s down to face off in the ring with the Paul brothers, noting that the event would draw millions of people and make millions of dollars.
Appearing in a new episode of his Hotboxin’ series, Tyson and special guest Freddie Gibbs dish about how “boxing fell off,” and the rise of celebrity boxing matches.
“They just need to put the right fights together, man. You know what I’m sayin’?” Gibbs said. “I’m sick of seeing of all these Jake Paul fights and all that type of shit.”
“Well, that’s the money fight,” Tyson responded. “Those are the fights that make the money. Those guys have 75 million people watching them.”
When Gibbs asks Tyson if he’s open to fighting Jake or his brother, Logan Paul, the famed boxer replied: “Hell yeah. They would, that would be a lot of money,” he said, noting his preference to go toe to toe with Logan, who recently lasted eight rounds with Floyd Mayweather.
Gibbs then questioned whether the brothers would accept such a challenge.
“$100 million bucks? They’ll do anything,” Tyson said.
“Yeah, I wanna see a n***a get knocked out,” Gibbs replied.

Jesse Palmer has quietly tied the knot with Emely Fardo!
On June 5, 2020, Palmer, 42, and Fardo, 35, said "I do" in an intimate ceremony almost a year after getting engaged.
With their nuptials taking place at a close friend's house in Connecticut, the couple tells PEOPLE exclusively that they previously postponed and then canceled their wedding in Provence, France, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
"We were only able to invite a small group of close friends that live in the greater N.Y.C. area, and that were in quarantine at the time," the couple says. "We had a lovely afternoon and look forward to celebrating our love with our parents and immediate families all together soon!"
Adds the newlyweds: "Big or small, wedding party or not, we feel so grateful and lucky to have found each other!"
The couple, who got engaged during a romantic trip to Paris in July 2019, first began dating in 2017.
"I've been so enamored, so in love with this woman and it only has grown. I'm head over heels for her," Palmer told The Daily Mail at the time.
Though Palmer and Fardo never publicly announced their nuptials, Fardo was wearing rings on her left ring finger in several of her Instagram posts. The model also uses Palmer's last name on her social media accounts and hashtagged a recent anniversary post with "husband."
"Happy anniversary to us!! I love you more than I love cheeseburgers!" she wrote in June.
The news that the pair are married comes after ABC announced that Palmer will serve as the host for season 26 of The Bachelor.
"For more than 20 years, The Bachelor has brought the world dozens of unforgettable love stories, including at one time, my own," the former NFL quarterback said in a statement on Tuesday. "Falling in love is one of life's greatest gifts, and I am humbled by the opportunity to return to the show as host this season to offer the newest Bachelor advice gained from firsthand experience and I am grateful to play a small part in his journey."
"The secret is out!! So proud of you," Fardo wrote on her Instagram Story following the announcement.
Palmer's hosting gig marks his return to the ABC franchise after becoming the fifth Bachelor on the series in 2004. He ended his season in a relationship with Jessica Bowlin, but the couple called it quits one month later. The reality star is taking over for the first season of The Bachelor since longtime host Chris Harrison stepped down in February.
Though the season 26 lead has yet to be announced, The Bachelor previously posted over 30 photos to Facebook of women who may appear on the show when it premieres in 2022.

Actress Maxwell Williamson Fatally Shot By Neighbor Who Was Cleaning His Gun!
Maxwell Williamson has been charged with involuntary manslaughter after accidentally shooting Carlether Foley.
An actress and mother in Atlanta was shot and killed by her neighbor who says his gun accidentally went off while he was cleaning it. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which broke the story this weekend, 36-year-old Carlether Foley was asleep at home on Sept. 26 when a bullet fired through her Duluth apartment building, striking her in the head.
Foley had a 17-year-old son, Keyandre, who discovered his mother unresponsive and called 911.
According to Gwinnett County police, the bullet was fired by Foley’s neighbor, 22-year-old Maxwell Williamson. The man told authorities he was cleaning his gun when it accidentally discharged and claimed he forgot it was loaded.
White man fatally shoots Black man who complimented his white girlfriend
According to a police report, Williamson left a note on Foley’s door after the gun went off apologizing for whatever damage the bullet may have caused, not knowing she had been fatally hit. Williamson was arrested later that day and has been charged with felony involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct.
“It don’t feel real. I found my mama by myself,” Keyandre told ABC 13. “I just don’t get it. I don’t understand. She don’t bother nobody. My mama didn’t do nothing.”
“I’ve never experienced the hurt, the pain that I’m feeling. I don’t know what to do,” the teen’s grandmother and Foley’s mother Jacquline told the outlet.
Man kills Black fiancée and continues texting her mom from her phone as if she’s still alive
“You had no right to take my baby from me,” she added, addressing Williamson. “You had no business taking her life away from her child. He’s 17 years old. This is his last year in school. You have hurt my family. You have took my baby.”
As of Friday (Oct. 1), Williamson remains at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond, AJC reports.
According to her IMDB page, Foley has appeared in nearly a dozen films and TV shows, including The Friend Zone and Slice O’ Cake, two independent films that have not aired yet. Her relatives have set up a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral expenses.

Eazy-E’s Daughter Requests Super Bowl Halftime Show Tribute To Her Father!
The recent news of Dr. Dre and friends headlining this NFL season’s Super Bowl Halftime Show received an overwhelmingly positive response with members of the hip-hop community celebrating the watershed moment as the latest testament of the culture’s progression.
However, according to the daughter of Eazy-E (real name Eric Lynn Wright), Ebie Wright, Dre’s headlining set, which will include appearances from Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, and Mary J. Blige, would be incomplete without acknowledging her father, who made history alongside Dre as members of N.W.A.
Ebie spoke with TMZ regarding Dre’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, requesting that the iconic producer at least give an “R.I.P. Eazy-E” shout-out to the late rap icon and mogul who co-founded Ruthless Records during the ’80s. She also shared her belief that her father would be involved in the Super Bowl Halftime Show in some capacity if he were still alive.
While Ebie understands that having five artists perform within a 20-minute time slot is already a tall task, she said that it would mean the world to her and her family to see her father be honored at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, just miles from where he and Dre grew up.
Earlier this year, Ebie executive produced The Mysterious Death of Eazy-E, a docuseries examining the murky circumstances surrounding her father’s untimely passing. The series, which premiered on Thursday, Aug. 12 on WE tv, consists of four hour-long episodes and includes never-before-seen footage and interviews.
Netflix Establishes $5.4 Million Chadwick A. Boseman Scholarship at Howard University!
Chadwick Boseman’s legacy at Howard University and his prospective impact on future generations continues to grow larger, with Netflix partnering with the university to establish a $5.4 million scholarship in the late actor’s name.
The Chadwick A. Boseman Memorial Scholarship will provide incoming students in the newly reestablished College of Fine Arts (which was named for the esteemed alumnus in May) with a four-year scholarship to cover the full cost of university tuition.
“It is with immense pleasure and deep gratitude that we announce the creation of an endowed scholarship in honor of alumnus, Chadwick Boseman, whose life and contributions to the arts continues to inspire,” said Howard University President Wayne A.I. Frederick, M.D. “This scholarship embodies Chadwick’s love for Howard, his passion for storytelling, and his willingness to support future generations of Howard students. I am thankful for the continuous support and partnership of Chadwick’s wife, Mrs. Simone Ledward Boseman, and to Netflix for this important gift.”
A press release announcing the fund’s establishment explained that the first scholarships will be awarded this fall to one recipient in each class, and will subsequently be distributed to an incoming freshman on an annual basis. The scholarship will focus on students who exemplify exceptional skills in the arts and who demonstrate financial need, with preference given to students in the dramatic arts who exemplify Boseman’s values, specifically demonstrating a drive for excellence, leadership, respect, empathy and passion. The inaugural class of awardees are: Sarah Long, a freshman in musical theatre; Shawn Smith, a sophomore studying acting; Janee Ferguson, a junior in theatre arts administration; and senior Deirdre Dunkin who studies dance.
In support of the scholarship, Ledward-Boseman said: “Many exemplary artists are not afforded the opportunity to pursue higher learning, we hope to support as many students as possible by removing the financial barrier to education. This endowment represents Chad’s devotion to the craft, his compassion for others, and his desire to support future storytellers.”
“My deepest thanks to Ted Sarandos, Scott Stuber and our family at Netflix for their generous investment into the education of all present and future Boseman Scholars, and to President Wayne Frederick, Dean Phylicia Rashad and Mr. David Bennett for their partnership and continued commitment to Chad’s legacy at Howard,” she continued. “I’m overwhelmed with gratitude and amazed at the love and dedication shown by so many continuing to honor my husband’s work. I know he’d be proud.”
The fund highlights Boseman’s continued connection to Netflix, as two of the actor’s final roles were in partnership with the streamer, including the actor’s portrayal of Stormin’ Norman in Spike Lee’s “Da 5 Bloods.” For his work as Levee in the Netflix adaptation of August Wilson’s “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” Boseman posthumously earned an Academy Award nomination for best actor and won the Golden Globe, NAACP Image and Screen Actors Guild Awards, among numerous other critics group honors.
“It is with enormous pride that we announce our endowment of the Chadwick A. Boseman Memorial Scholarship. While he was taken from us too soon, his spirit is with us always in his work and the good that he has inspired,” Ted Sarandos, Netflix co-CEO and chief content officer, stated.
“He always spoke of his time at Howard and the positive way it shaped his life and career,” Sarandos continued. “Now, we will have the opportunity to give many future superheroes a chance to experience the same. We are grateful to Simone and Chadwick’s whole family and our partners at Howard University for making this possible.”

Oprah Winfrey admits to not having many friends: ‘I never really expanded that circle’!
Oprah Winfrey knows that when it comes to friendship, quality is better than quantity.
On a recent episode of Hoda Kotb's podcast Making Space, the 67-year-old talk show legend opened up about her closet friendships alongside one of her longtime friends Maria Shriver, 65, admitting that she surrounds herself with a small circle of people.
"So, I don't have a lot of friends. Everybody knows Gayle [King]. There's Gayle, there's Maria, there's Bob [Greene]. And that's, that's about it, you know? Gayle and Maria I met around the same time and I never really expanded that circle. Until recently, I've become friends with a couple of people in my later adult life, in the past five years," she explained.
Winfrey recalls meeting Shriver in a bathroom 42 years ago at the Baltimore news station they worked at and striking up a conversation, which she described as a "divine moment that happened because she was one of my true, grounded friendships that carried me through my entire career."
She also noted the things she admires about the famed journalist.
"I cherish everything about her. I cherish her frankness, I cherish her directness. I cherish her honesty. I cherish her truth. I cherish her sense of searching for the truth. I cherish her courage," she continued. "Oh my God, Maria's gonna tell you the truth no matter damn what. Maria gives it to you in your face and then says, 'And you know what I'm talking about! You already know what I'm saying is true.'"
Something else that Winfrey remembered was the internal turmoil she went through after deciding to end her popular talk show to start her own television network, OWN. The network was struggling at first and the subject of intense scrutiny, bringing her to opening up about her pain to Shriver and crying on her table. Wanting to help her friend feel better, Shriver was able to surprise Winfrey with a live performance by one of her favorite singers, Snatam Kaur.
"It was healing," Winfrey said. "It's exactly what you want your friends to be there to do. Number one, you want your friends to stand in the gap for you and say, 'You are not whatever definition you're using to define yourself.'"
