#RHOA: Alum DeShawn Snow Speaks on Not Being Asked Back for Season 2!

The Real Housewives of Atlanta was an instant hit when it debuted in 2008. Since then, almost every OG housewife of the franchise made their mark on the show. The exception is arguably DeShawn Snow, who was not asked to return back after Season 1. Though Snow was favored by fans, producers felt her personality didn’t bring enough drama. She was initially bummed about not returning but amid a public and painful divorce was grateful to not have her devastation air on television.

DeShawn Snow was shocked at firing from ‘RHOA,’ says she was told she was boring

NBA champion Eric Snow and his wife DeShawn were part of the inaugural season of RHOA. She was introduced to producers through Nene Leakes. The Snows and Leakes knew of one another through the real estate industry.

DeShawn’s storyline centered around her family life and lavish lifestyle courtesy of Eric’s NBA salary, as well as her businesses. She stayed away from the drama, maybe a little too much as she was not asked to return for season 2. Not being asked back was shocking for the basketball wife.

“They said I was too human for a circus show, I remember that quote or something,” DeShawn told David Yontef during an appearance on his Behind the Velvet Rope podcast. “Basically, they were telling me I just wasn’t going to be back. They didn’t renew my option, which I was surprised by because I was ready. Second season I was like ‘OK, I get it.’ I was working, I had my children’s book series that I wanted that to be an animated TV series and a merchandise line. So, I was like, ‘OK, I know how to do this’ – so I was like having a game plan…I was looking forward to it.”

She says being void of drama was true to her real life. “I don’t know [if I would have amped up the drama] in season 2,” she told Yontef. “I knew how to handle the business part [of the show] but in terms of the drama I always joke with my friends and everything like, ‘They didn’t even ask me to turn it up.’ But, I don’t know if I would have known how back then. That’s just not who I was.”

Despite the disappointment, DeShawn says not being asked back was fate. Though she didn’t have drama on the show, almost immediately after filming wrapped, her life was turned upside down.

She says she was blindsided by Eric having an affair and leaving her for his mistress. He filed for divorce in 2010 while his mistress was pregnant with their child. Luckily, none of it was documented on reality TV.

“I’m glad it happened because as you know when I left the show, my life just totally changed,” she reflects. “I don’t know – even though now I’m a life coach and that’s what I share and help others – I don’t know if I would have wanted to go through all that on camera. So, it all worked out for me. I have no regrets.”

She says she was asked multiple times to participate in specials for Bravo with other Housewives alums but couldn’t muster up the energy to do so.

“After my divorce, I was a hot mess and I would just never respond but there were always offers being extended [for me to participate in television specials for Bravo],” she notes. “I was getting myself together.”

DeShawn is an author, life coach, and motivational speaker. She also says she’s not opposed to reality television and has been pitching multiple projects.

#MusicNews: Michelle Williams Reacts To Calls To Cancel Destiny’s Child’s ‘Cater 2 U’!

Michelle Williams isn't here for the Internet trying to cancel Destiny's Child classic, "Cater 2 U."

17 years after the track's release, some Twtiter users are calling for the song to not only be canceled but to be reclassified as a “slave” song, citing its "submissive" lyrics.

"Beyoncé lost me in the first verse when she said 'my life would be purposeless without you,'" one Twitter user wrote. "Then she followed later with 'I’ll brush your hair. Put your durag onnnn' Do you know how particular black men are about their durag tying technique? It’s too much."

For weeks Twitter users have shared their opinions of the track — some agreeing that the song needs to be canceled while others are refusing to trash the song — Destiny's Child's very own, Michelle finally weighed in, sharing a hilarious video responding to those calling for the song to be canceled.

“My name is Merleen and I just read that y’all wanna cancel the song ‘Cater 2 U’ by Destiny’s Child," Michelle said while in character. "Oh honey, you didn’t discern who you were catering to and you gave your lil pearls to swine, don’t be mad at Destiny’s Child. Uh uh.”

She also captioned the post, “I know it was all jokes but Merleen still wants to add her commentary!!”

Senate Passes Bill To Establish Juneteenth As A National Holiday!

The Senate passed a bill Tuesday to establish Juneteenth, the day marking the end of slavery in the United States, as a national holiday.

After passing by unanimous consent, the bill now heads to the House of Representatives, where its passage is all but assured, then on to President Biden’s desk for signature into law.

Celebrated on June 19, Juneteenth, or Freedom Day, recognizes and marks the emancipation of formerly enslaved African Americans, commemorating the date in 1865 when slaves in Galveston, Texas, learned of their freedom.

More than 150 years later, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., made a motion to pass the bill via unanimous consent. No other senator objected, including Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., who dropped his previous objection to the bill.

“While it still seems strange that having taxpayers provide federal employees paid time off is now required to celebrate the end of slavery, it is clear that there is no appetite in Congress to further discuss the matter,” Johnson said.

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, first introduced the bill last spring at the height of racial tension in the country following the murder of George Floyd, but they could not garner the support needed. Now, about a year later, the bill included 18 GOP co-sponsors.

“It has been a state holiday in Texas for more than 40 years,” Cornyn tweeted Tuesday afternoon. “Now more than ever, we need to learn from our history and continue to form a more perfect union.”

While Juneteenth has been celebrated by some Black Americans since the late 1800s, the holiday has gained in popularity in recent years. Today, cities and towns across the country mark the date with festivals, parades, barbecues and educational events.

“The stakes are a little different,” Mark Anthony Neal, a Duke University African American studies professor, told the New York Times last June. “Many Black Americans feel as though this is the first time in a long time that they have been heard in a way across the culture. ... It’s an opportunity for folks to kind of catch their breath about what has been this incredible pace of change and shifting that we’ve seen.”

If the bill is passed in the House and signed by the president, Juneteenth would become the 11th annual federal holiday.

Paris Jackson Says Paparazzi Caused Her Long-Term Trauma On Red Table Talk!

Paris Jackson, stopping by “Red Table Talk” for a frank discussion about living under the media glare, reveals she suffers long-term anxiety and trauma from enduring countless camera clicks by paparazzi since she was a child.

“I experience auditory hallucinations sometimes with camera clicks and severe paranoia and have been going to therapy for a lot of things but that included,” Jackson says. “I’ll hear a trash bag rustling and flinch in panic.” She adds: “I think it’s standard PTSD.”

Jackson, the daughter of Michael Jackson, has a one-on-one discussion with fellow paparazzi target and friend Willow Smith on Wednesday’s edition of the online talk show that airs on Facebook Watch at 9 a.m. PDT/noon EDT.

During the show’s introduction, Smith says she met Jackson on the set of mom Jada Pinkett Smith’s TV show “Hawthorne.” Smith and Jackson soon forged a bond over growing up with parents in the spotlight, and over love of music, modeling, and issues like mental health, sexuality and body image. One way Jackson says she keeps some privacy is by asking people in her home to sign non-disclosure agreements.

Jackson, who has dated men and women, tells Smith that while there is tension with some of her family members over her sexuality, she has leaned on her brothers — Prince and Prince Michael II — and longtime family friend Omer Bhatti.

“They’ve always been super-supportive,” she says, noting that to better connect with his sister, Prince Jackson in high school joined a student-run club that unites LGBTQ+ and allied youth. “Not a lot of people can say they have siblings that support them like that.”

In 2020, Paris Jackson and then-boyfriend Gabriel Glenn — who formed the acoustic duo The Soundflowers — had a docu-series on Facebook Watch called “Unfiltered,” which provided a glimpse into her private life. Jackson revealed self-harm and suicide attempts in her testimonials, and said music was a way to channel her pain. She released her debut solo album “Wilted” in November.

“Red Table Talk” has recently made headlines with interviews with Olivia Jade Gianulli, Kelly Osbourne, and when Pinkett Smith and her husband, Will Smith, discussed their marriage.

Leona Lewis Claims Michael Costello Left Her 'Humiliated' At 2014 Charity Event: She clapped back 'Bullying Comes In Different Forms'!

Leona Lewis is speaking out about a past incident with designer Michael Costello that she claims left her "embarrassed and deeply hurt," one day after the "Project Runway" contestant came forward with allegations that Chrissy Teigen bullied and blacklisted him. In a series of Instagram Stories posts, the "Bleeding Love" songstress detailed the 2014 experience, which she claims lead to "years of insecurity" and has impacted her "personally and professionally." "I was asked to take part in a fashion show to raise money for charity. Michael Costello was assigned as my designer," she wrote. "As an excited young woman, I flew all the way to New York and was honored to work with him because I adored his dresses."

"When I got to the fitting, I was made to feel very awkward and uncomfortable as the dress was a sample size and he/his team clearly did not want to alter it to fit me. This came as a total surprise because weeks prior I was told that they would make the dress work for me," she alleges. Lewis claimed that Costello then "refused to turn up" to the next fitting, leaving her "with no explanation at all" for his absence. "He no longer wanted to dress me and he abandoned his commitments to me and the show, which made me well aware that I wasn't the body type required," she wrote. "I was so embarrassed and deeply hurt Because I didn't look like a model size, I was not permitted to walk in his dress.

I had to sit in the audience and was asked by press why I didn't walk in the show. I remember having to come up with excuses as I was so humiliated by it all. I feel like I was made to look as though I pulled out and was being difficult, and as an [effect] of those actions, I suffered a lot, both personally and professionally. The most hurtful thing was that it was to raise money for charity, and this went against everything we were trying to do," she continued.

WOW! Maybe he should have kept his mouth shut!

Rita Moreno Defends Lin-Manuel Miranda In Wake Of ‘In The Heights’ Controversy: “You Can Never Do Right, It Seems”

“It’s like you can never do right, it seems,” said the screen legend.

Moreno worked with Miranda on her new documentary Rita Moreno: Just a Girl Who Decided to Go for It, which charts her journey from humble beginnings in Puerto Rico to success on Broadway and in Hollywood. The criticism she’s referring to pertains to the lack of Afro-Latinx representation in Warner Bros.’ In the Heights, the film adaptation of his acclaimed Broadway musical, on which he served as composer, lyricist, producer, co-writer and star.

“This is the man who literally has brought Latino-ness and Puerto Rican-ness to America. I couldn’t do it. I mean, I would love to say I did, but I couldn’t,” Moreno told Stephen Colbert. “Lin-Manuel has done that, really single-handedly, and I’m thrilled to pieces, and I’m proud that he produced my documentary.”

Colbert followed his guest’s comments up by asking what exactly her position is, as far as the In the Heights controversy itself. “I’m simply saying, can’t you just wait a while and leave it alone?” she remarked. “There’s a lot of people who are puertorriqueño, who are also from Guatemala, who are dark and who are also fair. We are all colors in Puerto Rico.

This is, she said, “how it is, and it would just be so nice if they hadn’t come up with that and left that alone, just for now. They’re really attacking the wrong person.”

Directed by Jon M. Chu, In the Heights centers on Usnavi (Anthony Ramos), a sympathetic New York bodega owner, who saves every penny every day, as he imagines and sings about a better life. In the film, Miranda plays the role of Piragüero.

The Tony-winning Broadway star took to social media yesterday to acknowledge the controversy surrounding him, and to make his thoughts on it known. “I’m seeing the discussion around Afro-Latinx representation in our film this weekend and it is clear that many in our dark-skinned Afro-Latinx community don’t feel sufficiently represented within it, particularly among the leading roles,” he wrote. “I hear that without sufficient dark-skinned Afro-Latinx representation, the work feels extractive of the community we wanted so much to represent with pride and joy.

“In trying to paint a mosaic of this community, we fell short,” Miranda continued. “I’m truly sorry.”

There’s Been A ‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ Cast Shakeup Kelly Dodd Departing, Heather Dubrow Returning!

When one door closes, another opens: And with Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” the door is closing on Kelly Dodd and opening for returning cast member Heather Dubrow. Braunwyn Windham-Burke, who was on the show for two seasons, and Elizabeth Lyn Vargas, who was on the most recent season, also will not return.

A Bravo spokesperson confirmed to Variety the departures of Dodd — a controversial firebrand who’s been in the cast since 2016 — Windham-Burke and Vargas. Their contracts were not renewed for the show’s upcoming 16th season, which is set to begin production next month.

Shannon Storms Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter, and Emily Simpson, however, are all returning to “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” or “RHOC,” as it’s nicknamed. One or two new women will also join the cast.

As has been rumored, “RHOC” alumni Dubrow will return to the show. Dubrow — an actor with four children — was on the show from Season 7 through 11. As a member of the cast, Dubrow was known for her sharp wit, her confrontational style, her huge house and her bickery, bantery marriage to Terry Dubrow, a plastic surgeon. (Terry Dubrow is the star of E!’s “Botched,” which is also an NBCUniversal show).

And it’s a good thing that Dubrow is coming in as Dodd is going out, because they sure didn’t get along. During one disastrous on-camera dinner in her final year on the show, Dubrow walked off, and refused to keep filming after Dodd loudly attacked various cast members (and called Beador the c-word). Viewers saw the behind-the-scenes footage of what happened at that season’s reunion.

“RHOC,” the flagship series of Bravo’s “Housewives” empire, premiered in 2006. The show was meant to be a fun reality version of ABC’s mid-2000s smash hit, “Desperate Housewives.” But instead, along with all of the other “Housewives” shows — there are currently eight different installments of the franchise — it became a fascinating chronicler of American life. The various “Real Housewives” series have given viewers close-up looks at the devastating effects of the Great Recession; births, deaths and divorces; how race and class shape women’s lives; and most recently, how COVID-19 wreaked havoc in the United States.

That latest current event is when Dodd’s penchant for fighting dirty went from entertaining, sometimes necessary pot-stirring to toxic trolling that caused horror in many audience members.

Before Season 15 of “RHOC” even premiered in October, many viewers had decided to boycott the show because of Dodd (whose name is now Kelly Leventhal after she married Fox News correspondent Rick Leventhal in October). Early in the pandemic, Dodd compared COVID deaths to those caused by other illnesses such as the swine flu, and commented on Instagram that the disease may be “God’s way of thinning the herd” (for which she later apologized, calling it “the stupidest thing I’ve ever said”). The anti-Dodd movement gathered steam in early October when she posted a selfie wearing a hat with the slogan “Drunk Wives Matter.”

Throughout the season, Dodd, never one to shy away from a fight, alternated between apologizing and doubling down. At the reunion in January, Dodd — somewhat bafflingly — shouted, “I’m Black!” during a heated discussion about Black Lives Matter. (Dodd had previously always identified as Mexican-American.)

The outburst led to Leventhal’s twenty-something daughter, Veronica, blasting her new stepmother. In a viral Facebook post, Leventhal said: “I don’t think it’s OK for people who say they’ve experienced racism or prejudice to then turn around and inflict that same bigotry on other people. I don’t think you can experience the privileges of whiteness and then turn around and deny that those privileges exist.”

After Season 15 concluded, Dodd seemed to be almost daring Bravo to fire her. She said she would no longer film with co-star Windham-Burke, who during the season, became sober and a lesbian, neither of which Dodd seemed to approve of. She also posted an Instagram story from an Orange County restaurant in which she and her dining companions toasted to “superspreaders,” and one of her friends could be heard saying “spread that shit.” After that incident, Positive Beverage, a vitamin water, cut ties with Dodd, saying she “is no longer congruent with our core values.”

Always quick to go from zero to “shut the fuck up,” Dodd seemed to draw the ire of “Housewives” impresario Andy Cohen during the show’s reunion episodes. In a signal that he’d heard about the anti-Dodd boycotts, Cohen said to her, “The amount of messages that I get that you’re uneducated, you’re putting out misinformation, you’re behaving like a moron.”

Dodd shot back at Cohen: “I get them too, saying that you’re anti-American. That you put your political beliefs out there, that they don’t want to watch a political show.”

In an interview with Variety in March, Cohen said that after a difficult season with “RHOC” — which he largely blamed on COVID closures in Orange County — Bravo was “taking a pause” on the show, as the network has sometimes done with the “Real Housewives” franchise.

“There were times in the past where we would say, “You know what? Let’s let the women live their lives for awhile, and see where they’re at,’” Cohen said. “There’s a clear hope from the fans that there’s some kind of shakeup. And I think we’re analyzing everything. I think we just wanted to be really deliberate too.

“I mean, this is obviously the show that started everything for this franchise. And it’s really important, and it’s important that we keep getting it right.”

These cast changes are clearly an effort to get it right again.

In a Twitter exchange in late January between “Housewives” fans Evan Ross Katz and Meghan McCain about canceling “RHOC,” Cohen said, “I think you mean reBOOT.”

Today, that BOOT was employed.

Kevin Hart Fires Back at People Who Think He's 'Not Funny': 'Hate Fuels Me to Do More'!

The comedian, 41, posted a series of tweets on Tuesday in which he addressed his haters, writing, “I got time today…”

“The ‘He’s not funny’ slander is the best…this is for you,” Hart tweeted. “I have 3 stand up comedy specials that fall in the top 10 highest grossing comedy specials of all time….2 of my specials are in the top 3 of all time.”

He continued, “I have been the highest grossing comedian in entertainment for years now….I have also been the highest grossing comedian in the box office with over 4 billion in earnings. I have also turned my comedic talent into a place of business and branding and radio and other revenue streams…The hate/slander fuels me to do more.”

“You guys are what makes this business fun….because it’s not about getting to the top….it’s about doing your best to stay on top after you get there,” Hart tweeted. “I rarely talk s-…but I felt the need to today. Stop believing these headlines and read the actual articles….you guys fall for the banana in the tail pipe trick every damn time.”

He added, “J Cole said it best ‘If ur laughing at a millionaire the jokes on YOU’…..Now back to ur regularly scheduled program. Live love and laugh!!!”

Hart’s tweets come two days after the Sunday Times published an interview with the actor, in which he opened up about cancel culture, saying, “I personally don’t give a s- about it.”

“If somebody has done something truly damaging then, absolutely, a consequence should be attached. But when you just talk about … nonsense?” the Fatherhood star continued. “When you’re talking, ‘Someone said! They need to be taken [down]!’ Shut the f- up! What are you talking about?”

Hart said, “When did we get to a point where life was supposed to be perfect? Where people were supposed to operate perfectly all the time? I don’t understand.”

“I don’t expect perfection from my kids. I don’t expect it from my wife, friends, employees,” he continued. “Because, last I checked, the only way you grow up is from f-ing up. I don’t know a kid who hasn’t f-ed up or done some dumb s-.”

Jay-Z Sues Photographer Over ‘Reasonable Doubt’ Photos!

JAY-Z is taking a photographer to court over an iconic photo shoot.

The Roc Nation mogul is suing Jonathan Mannion and his company, Jonathan Mannion Photography LLC, claiming that the famed photographer is exploiting JAY-Z’s name and image without the rapper’s consent. In legal documents, obtained by TMZ, JAY says he never gave Mannion permission to sell the photos, some of which go for thousands of dollars on his website.

He claims that when he asked Mannion to stop using his image, the photographer asked for tens of millions of dollars. JAY says Mannion is making an “arrogant assumption that because he took those photographs, he can do with them as he pleases.”

JAY hired Mannion in 1996 to shoot the cover for his debut album Reasonable Doubt. JAY says Mannion took hundreds of photos during the shoot and was compensated “handsomely” for those uses.

JAY maintains strict control over how his name, likeness, identity, and persona are used, and demands that Mannion stop profiting off his name.

In the suit, Jay claims it’s “ironic that a photographer would treat the image of a formerly-unknown Black teenager, now wildly successful, as a piece of property to be squeezed for every dollar it can produce. It stops today.”

In addition to stopping the sale of the photos, JAY-Z wants Mannion to hand over the profits he’s made off his likeness.

Atlanta’s Freaknik Announces 2021 Return and Lineup: Adina Howard, Project Pat, Paul Wall & More!

This year’s Freaknik will be hosted at Morris Brown College from October 8-10. Headliners include Adina Howard, Project Pat, Lil Scrappy, Ray J, Pastor Troy, JT Money, and Paul Wall.

Freaknik is set to return this fall in Atlanta, and it’ll be a three-day-long celebration. Years ago, it was a wildly popular unofficial “Black Spring Break” that was known for debauchery and chaos.

Originally launched in 1983, Historically Black College and University students traveled in large numbers to partake in Freaknik. At its peak, it attracted a quarter of a million attendees. Also, it wasn’t abnormal to see vulgar acts taking place in the streets of Atlanta in broad daylight. In 1999, due to violations and complaints, the last official Freaknik was held in Atlanta. Two years back it returned as a family-friendly all-day festival and concert.

The documentation of Freaknik is what has kept the spirit of the celebration alive. Oral stories and photos of its heyday are always floating around. If you do a quick search on Tumblr you’ll find an assortment of videos and images that speak to the fashion and energy of Freaknik in the ’90s.

The 2021 version will be hosted at Morris Brown College from October 8-10. Headliners include Adina Howard, Project Pat, Lil Scrappy, Ray J, Pastor Troy, JT Money, Paul Wall, 95 South, DJ Unk, Field Mob and 8Ball & MJG.

Last year, the lineup of acts included Project Pat, Uncle Luke, Da Brat, Foxy Brown. To avoid trademarking issues, organizers have officially announced that this is the only official Freaknik. In 2019, there were parties and events marketing themselves as if they were affiliated with the revamp.

Freaknik tickets will be available on June 21 at 9 a.m. EST on freaknikfest.com. At the moment ticket prices haven’t been released. Stay tuned here for additional updates like ticket pricing or additional headliners.

Harley Quinn EP Reveals DC KO'd Superhero Sex Act Because Batman and Catwoman 'Don't Do That'!

Perfect Strangers Reboot, Starring Robin Thede and London Hughes, In Development at HBO Max

Sex and the City: Sarah Jessica Parker Posts New Photo With Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon After Revival Table Read

Heroes like Batman and Superman routinely go above and beyond to save random strangers on the street. But when it comes to a little reciprocity in the sack? Executive producers of HBO Max’s Harley Quinn say DC Comics would rather have its superhero characters dance with the devil in the pale moonlight than show them engaging in oral sex.

In a recent interview with our sister site Variety, co-creators/EPs Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker said that the iconic comic company nixed a Season 3 Harley Quinn scene that depicted one of its legacy characters bestowing some highly specific special attention upon another.

“We had a moment where Batman was going down on Catwoman. And DC was like, ‘You can’t do that. You absolutely cannot do that.’ They’re like, ‘Heroes don’t do that,'” Halpern told Variety. “So we said, ‘Are you saying heroes are just selfish lovers?’ They were like, ‘No, it’s that we sell consumer toys for heroes. It’s hard to sell a toy if Batman is also going down on someone.'”

Harley Quinn, with its titular character voiced by The Flight Attendant‘s Kaley Cuoco, is an animated series for adults that follows the outspoken queenpin’s exploits in Gotham City — and its plots focus mainly on DC villains doing outlandish things. Indeed, Schumacker and Halpern also noted that DC has allowed the series’ storytelling to push its limits many times; a source close to the series says that the EPs are often incredulous about what they have been able to get away, plot-wise, in the first two seasons.

In September, Harley Quinn was picked up for Season 3 on the streaming service after its Season 2 finale aired on DC Universe (which has evolved to a comics-only platform). Earlier, DCU original Doom Patrol was renewed for Season 3 as a “Max Original,” and DC’s Stargirl was picked up for Season 2, which will air on The CW starting on Tuesday, Aug. 10.

Ariana Grande Reveals New Perfume Named After Her Hit Song!

Ariana Grande’s next perfume is inspired by one of our favorite Sweetener songs.

On Monday (June 14), the pop star announced her new fragrance, “God Is a Woman,” will be coming to an Ulta near you. “Coming soon @ultabeauty,” Grande teased on Instagram along with a video showing the first look at her upcoming perfume, which is housed in a white bottle with a diamond-shaped cut-out.

The fragrance also appears to be a purple formula, which sticks to the dreamy aesthetic of Grande’s previous fragrances including “Cloud” (a light blue formula), “R.E.M.” (a lavender-colored formula), and “Thank U Next” (a pink formula). Some of the “7 Rings” musician’s past perfume collaborations also include “Sweet Like Candy,” “Moonlight,” and “Ari.”

This new fragrance takes its name after Grande’s intoxicating hit song of the same name, which released from her 2018 album Sweetener. The song became iconic for its music video as the singer appeared naked and concealed in a pool of pastel-colored paint.

When she's not concocting formulas for her ever-expanding fragrance line, the “Light Is Coming” musician is relishing her new life as a married woman.

On May 15, Grande tied the knot with her fiancé Dalton Gomez in an intimate wedding in front of 20 of their closest friends and family. And just weeks ago, the newlyweds were spotted stepping out for their first dinner date as husband and wife

Rick Ross Shares That He Saves Money by Cutting His Own Grass and Flying Commercial!

No one talks about the spoils of wealth and opulence better than Rick Ross. But, Rozay also does the hard work to maintain his lifestyle by practicing fiscal responsibility.

Ross proudly resides on a 235 acre estate in Fayetteville, Georgia that was previously owned by boxing legend Evander Holyfield. Although he took over Holyfield’s property, Ross isn’t following in his financial footsteps. Instead of spending close to $1 million a year to maintain the mansion’s lawn, Ross told Forbes that he actually cuts the grass himself.

“When I bought the Fayetteville estate, locals would see me walk out of a restaurant and scream, ‘You know Holyfield spent $1 million a year to cut the grass.’ So I decided that I was gonna cut my own grass. And that’s what I did,” Ross said in a new interview. “I went down to John Deere and asked to see the biggest tractor, the most efficient tractor. I told them I had 200-plus acres that I wanted to keep cut, and they pointed out the right tractor. … I may have sat in the same spot for two hours before I got everything working, but once I got it going, I didn’t stop. I cut grass for about five hours.”

In doing this, Ross realized that cutting his own grass gave him the type of normalcy and “peace” he was seeking to balance out his superstar lifestyle

“I realized that this was something I wanted to do. It was subconscious,” he continued. “I sit there and have my cannabis rolled up, and, man, I look at the property and can appreciate my struggles and my triumphs, those rough days. It’s the smallest thing, but it keeps a smile on my face. So, you know, for anybody who doesn’t cut their own grass, I would say take time out every two or three months to cut your grass because it is such a great and peaceful sensation.”

Taking care of his own grass isn’t the only way Ross cuts corners. He tells Forbes that he has an affinity for “finding beautiful things that cost $8 or $20” at swap meets and antique stores, and he takes commercial flights on Delta as much as possible. He also forges partnerships with companies that align with his lifestyle, which affords him the financial freedom to spend money on the things he’s always wanted.

“Yes, I’m not about throwing money away, but it’s important that people enjoy the fruits of your labor and stay ahead of the curve,” Ross said. “I make sure that I am surrounded by love and inspiration and motivation. Through the window I am looking out of right now in the Southwest Ranches, I can see my red-on-red 458 Ferrari, and it is inspiring.”

Amazon Execs Are Worried They Won’t Have Anyone To Hire Because Workers Quit So Often!

A new report shows that executives at Amazon are concerned they’ll run out of people to hire because their workers are constantly quitting.

According to an investigation done by the New York Times, the mega-company Amazon has hired hundreds of thousands of workers for roles specifically for the company’s “fulfillment centers” or warehouses to keep up with the increase in online shopping amid the pandemic. But just as fast as they get hired, they end up quitting after working “just days or weeks.”

Between July and October 2020, Amazon has hired more than 350,000 new workers. However, the Times reported a turnover rate of about 150 percent every year regarding hourly employees. So now, execs are worried they won’t be able to find anyone they can hire.

At one point in May 2021, Amazon started offering new hires a $1,000 signing bonus. One of Amazon’s former managers compared the company’s hire-quit turnaround to fossil fuels.

“We keep using them, even though we know we’re slowly cooking ourselves,” he told The Times.
