Iconic Supermodel Iman Covers Harper's Bazaar UK February 2021!
Somali-born supermodel icon Iman graces the cover of Harper’s Bazaar UK’s February 2021 cover on The Visionaries. Jason Rembert styles the legendary beauty in Alexandre Vauthier, Lanvin, Maison Margiela by John Galliano, Noir Kei Ninomiya; J.R. Malpere head dress; Chopard, Piaget and more luxe jewelry lensed by Paola Kudacki (IG).
Harper’s Bazaar UK editor-in-chief Lydia Slater interviews Iman in Nomad Spirit: Iman on Biden, Bowie and blazing a trail.
As Iman approaches the fifth-anniversary of her husband David Bowie’s January 10, 2016 death from liver cancer, she is definitive that she won’t remarry.
"David is in our hearts and minds on a daily basis, for all of us," she says of her family. "You know, this was my true love. My daughter once asked me if I would ever marry again and I said, 'never'."
The pair were introduced in 1990 by a mutual friend. "My attraction to her was immediate and all-encompassing. I couldn’t sleep for the excitement of our first date," the singer later said. "That she would be my wife, in my head, was a done deal. I’d never gone after anything in my life with such passion... I just knew she was the one."
After the family fled Mogadishu, Somalia, arriving in Kenya, the daughter of a diplomat and a doctor was spotted by legendary photographer Peter Beard. He asked Iman how much she would charge to pose for him, and she instinctively said $8,000. Her mother always counseled Iman to know her value. Beard agreed, and within a year Iman was living in New York and being photographed for top fashion magazines.
The businesswoman owner of Iman Cosmetics and Iman Global Chic fashion brand also works as a global ambassador for the charity Care.
"I know what it’s like to be an immigrant. I know what it’s like to not be white. I know what it’s like to not be male. I know what it’s like to adapt to a culture that’s not your own and long for the one you know. I know firsthand the extra burdens that each of these realities can bring. And thanks to the blessed NGOs like Care that were there to help me early on in life, I know that having an advocate in your corner can mean catching a break and having a chance."

Super Bowl LV will see The Kansas City Chiefs face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers!
Well, It’s all set! The Kansas City Chiefs will be going head-to-head with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV.
The game is set for February 7 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, meaning the Buccaneers will be the first team to play in a Super Bowl in their home stadium.
The Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills 38-24 in the AFC championship Sunday. It'll be the Chiefs' fourth trip to the Super Bowl in franchise history.
"The best thing about this team is we believe in each other," Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said. "I trust my guys over anybody and we're going to go out there and be who we are."
Content by Blue Apron
As quarterbacks, Mahomes and the Buccaneers' Tom Brady have each won one of the last two Super Bowls, respectively. Mahomes and the Chiefs won the Super Bowl last year against the San Francisco 49ers. Brady, who was throwing for the New England Patriots at the time, defeated the Los Angeles Rams in 2019.
Earlier Sunday, the Bucs beat the Green Bay Packers 31-26 in the NFC championship, earning them their second trip to the Super Bowl in franchise history. The first was in 2003 against the Oakland Raiders.
"Guys came through. Everyone stepped up to the challenge," Tom Brady said in a post-game interview. "Football's the ultimate team sport and everybody plays a role. I'm just so proud of this whole team."
Brady also made history Sunday. At 43 years old, he will be the oldest player to play in the Super Bowl.
This will be Brady's 10th trip to the big game. With the Patriots -- where Brady played for 20 years before signing with the Bucs last March -- Brady went to the Super Bowl nine times, leading the team to six wins, the most for any player in NFL history.
Should Brady win the big game in two weeks, he'll join Peyton Manning as one of two quarterbacks in NFL history to win Super Bowls on two different teams, according to the Buccaneers' website.
#RHOA: Kenya Moore And Marc Daly Have Split, Again!
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore and husband Marc Daly are, once again, calling it quits after attempting to reconcile following their 2019 split.
“After recently attending mediation, Kenya and I have agreed to end our marriage,” restauranteur Daly, 50, told The Root in a statement. “I will always have great care for her and look forward to amicably continuing to co-parent our daughter Brooklyn with an abundance of love and wisdom.”
The pair were married in 2017 during a private ceremony in St. Lucia. Their daughter, Brooklyn Doris Daly, was born in November 2018. The couple split less than a year later in September 2019.
Instead of entertaining Bravo cameras, Daly intends to pour his energy into helping his Brooklyn community, adding, “As always, in addition to perpetual self-improvement, my primary focus will continue to be helping the underserved and people of color in Brooklyn to recover from the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
“I’m blessed to be a positive change agent for not just my family but also my community,” he added.
Moore discussed their attempt at reconciliation during an April 2020 visit to “Watch What Happens Live.”
“We’re actually getting along better than we’ve gotten along probably shortly after we got married. I mean it’s just been no arguments, no real fights or disagreements and he’s been really sweet and caring and thoughtful. It’s like ‘Wow, you know, this is the man I’m married.’”

Ashanti just wrapped up her epic Verzuz battle with Keyshia Cole and now she’s officially released her new single “235”. The atmospheric J-Roc produced record is a departure from Ashanti’s signature Hip Hop influenced R&B sound, but she still shows off her pen game.
It has been almost seven years since the release of Ashanti’s last album “Braveheart” which she released through eOne. It looks like she will be continuing to move as an independent artist through her imprint Written Entertainment.
No word on when Ashanti will be releasing a new project, but a few months ago we put together a list of our favorite 10 Ashanti songs.

Prior to the pandemic, Ashanti was on the road with Omarion and Bow Wow as part of the Millennium tour which is scheduled to resume in March as it was delayed due to the pandemic.
#HipHopNews: Snoop Dogg Reunites With Death Row Records Co-Founder In The Studio Following Trump Pardon!
The days of Snoop Dogg lashing out at Donald Trump appear to be behind him. On Tuesday (January 19), the former president issued pardons or commutations to 143 people, including Lil Wayne, Kodak Black and Death Row Records co-founder Michael “Harry-O” Harris.
To make this possible, Snoop had been quietly working with his former producer Weldon Angelos and activist Alice Johnson — who both received pardons from Trump in the past — to help spring Harris from prison seven years early. On Friday (January 22), Uncle Snoop shared a photo of himself with Harris in the studio both looking noticeably happy.
“Welcome home big o,” he wrote in the caption. “Bossangelos boss bac home wit da dogg. Thank u @realdonaldtrump.”
Harris, who helped found the iconic Hip Hop label alongside the currently incarcerated Suge Knight, was convicted of attempted murder and kidnapping in 1988. While behind bars, the 58-year-old has reportedly reinvented himself as an activist and is pushing for prison reform.
The former executive learned he was granted clemency at Lompoc Federal Correctional Institution in California on Tuesday. Angelos shared the news via Instagram shortly after the news broke, writing, “Happy to announce that Harry O, co-founder of @deathrowrecords is coming home today thanks to myself, @snoopdogg, @alicemariefree (the 3 amigos). Harry O is coming home. A big win for hip hop. Other supporters include @vanjones68 @mchammer and many more.”
In a statement to the New York Post, Snoop praised Trump and his administration for the gesture.
“I love what they did,” he said. “That’s great work for the president and his team on the way out. They did some great work while they was in there and they did some great work on their way out. Let them know that I love what they did. It is amazing what the work of God can actually bring to life to make people understand that there is a God.”
Piers Morgan slammed for ‘insulting’ and ‘narcissistic’ tribute to Larry King!
Former CNN host Piers Morgan has come under fire over his social media tribute to Larry King, whose death was announced Saturday.
Morgan replaced King on CNN’s “Larry King Live” in January 2011 to host the renamed “Piers Morgan Tonight,” a move that caused tension between the two. The “Good Morning Britain” co-anchor chose to address said tension in his acknowledgment of King’s death while taking a jab at King’s former marriages.
“Larry King was a hero of mine until we fell out after I replaced him at CNN & he said my show was ‘like watching your mother-in-law go over a cliff in your new Bentley.’ (He married 8 times so a mother-in-law expert) But he was a brilliant broadcaster & masterful TV interviewer,” the tweet reads.
The post didn’t sit well with some of King’s fans, who immediately called out Morgan for the insensitive message.
“The fact that you had to wait till Larry king passed to post this drivel speaks volumes of your character,” one tweeter wrote while another added, “So unnecessary, the mans dead. What are you achieving by insulting him, other than possibly upsetting his family?”
Several others accused the 55-year-old of attempting to make King’s death all about him.
“Piers Morgan is the ultimate (and quite frankly most annoying) narcissist. It’s insufferable. Nothing can happen without it somehow relating to him and his pathetic life. A man just died. F–king hell,” wrote another frustrated Twitter user.
There were a few Morgan supporters, however, who came to the Brit’s defense, believing he should be commended for his honesty.
“This is honest,” one fan wrote, “and you still found a way to keep it respectful. I appreciate it. Hate phony stuff.”
“Me too,” Morgan responded. “Larry hated me replacing him at CNN and never made any secret of it, which I found very sad because he was one of my heroes – but I still think he was a superb broadcaster & one of the all-time TV greats.”
Three Breonna Taylor Grand Jurors Among Petitioners Trying To Get Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron Impeached!
Three former grand jurors in the Breonna Taylor case are among the “concerned Kentucky citizens” petitioning to have the Kentucky Legislature impeach state Attorney General Daniel Cameron.
According to CNN, one of the attorneys representing the group of petitioners, Kevin Glogower, said they filed a petition seeking the impeachment of Cameron, charging him with “breach of public trust and failure to comply with duties for misrepresenting to the nation the findings of the Grand Jury” and “abuse of office and breach of duties of professional responsibility and ethics.”
Both impeachment charges are related to the lack of charges filed against the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department officers implicated in Breonna Taylor’s death.
In a press release, Glogower said, “These are randomly selected citizens who were compelled to sit on a grand jury and were terribly misused by the most powerful law enforcement official in Kentucky.”
Their petition is also calling to charge Cameron with incitement of insurrection for the US Capitol’s riots.
The petition lists Cameron’s involvement with the National Association of Republican Attorneys General or RAGA as its rationale for their charge of incitement.
A non-profit affiliated with RAGA called the “Rule of Law Defense Fund” set up robocalls in the days leading up to the riots that urged their supporters to march on the Capitol on January 6th.
DJ Spinderella Is Not Happy About That Lifetime Salt-N-Pepa Movie!
Earlier this afternoon, Lifetime released its new film Salt-N-Pepa, which, as the name suggests, is a biopic covering the ups and downs of the careers of rap’s first Grammy-winning, platinum-selling all-female group. Unlike some Lifetime projects that have crawled out of the woodwork over the years, Salt-N-Pepa is mostly authorized—which is to say, it was produced and co-written by both Salt and Pepa (and co-produced by their old pal Queen Latifah), but not, tellingly by the trio’s former third member, DJ Spinderella. That probably has a lot to do with the fact that Spinderella (a.k.a. Diedre Roper, who joined the group shortly after its first album dropped in 1985, and who spent more than 30 years as its DJ) was fired from the group in 2019, after which she sued Salt and Pepa on allegations of unpaid royalties. (The lawsuit ultimately went to mediation.)
Given her integral role to the group’s success, it’s unsurprising that Roper appears in the film, played by Monique Jasmine Paul. It’s also unsurprising that the real Roper isn’t especially happy about her inclusion, sans participation, in the film, taking to Twitter today to write, among other things, that “Words cannot fully express my disappointment when I learned a decision was made to move forward with a Lifetime biopic that wrongfully excluded me from every aspect of development and production...” (She did have kind words for Paul, though.)
As it happens, Salt and Pepa did speak this week (somewhat obliquely) about Spinderella’s removal from the group. Talking to The Breakfast Club, Cheryl “Salt” James held to the line that she and Sandra “Pepa” Denton were already an established act when Spinderella was added to the group by producer Hurby Azor, and that Roper was always an “addition” to an established dynamic that dated back to the duo’s high school years. Reading not especially hard between the lines, the clear implication is that Spin was never, and was never going to be, an equal member of the partnership, and that that certainty eventually led to her dismissal. Lil' Kim Says Teyana Taylor Could Do Her Justice In A Biopic!
A Lil' Kim biopic may be coming our way and the hip-hop legend thinks Teyana Taylor could do her justice.
During a recent interview with Essence, Kim teased a potential film based on her life and career. "I have a few offers. I have a secret but I can’t tell you," she teased during the discussion. "It's dealing with me and my life a little bit, kinda."
"It can only be a girl that's from the hood that I'm from," said Kim. "I love Teyana, she's my only other thought. There's nobody else in the industry at all but Teyana,” the rap icon admitted of Taylor. "But, even before Teyana, I love Teyana, but she’s from Harlem, before Teyana, I would love to give some little girls from Brooklyn a chance so I can connect. Really connect."
Back in 2016, Taylor put her love for Kim on the spot when she paid tribute to the rapper with a performance at VH1's Hip hop Honors. "I went completely into my Kim bag in the mirror all day long. Eat, sleep, think Kim. STUDIED, appreciated her era!" Teyana wrote on social media following the performance. "Thank you @lilkimthequeenbee for your inspiration, choosing me, believing in me and for knocking down the door for other young women that dream big."
Kim is currently narrating the latest season of the BET+ series, American Gangster: Trap Queens, and admitted that she sees her life story being told as both a documentary and biopic, but she wants viewers to walk away knowing the cold, hard facts. "I want people to know the real Kim. All the stories that everybody else tells, chile, don’t listen to it," she added.
As for when official word of a Kim biopic will drop, the rapper said it's coming sooner than we think. "You’ll know in like another month. It’s gonna come out," she teased.
Dave Chappelle Tests Positive For Coronavirus And Cancels Texas Residency!
Dave Chappelle has tested positive for coronavirus just hours before he was set to perform the latest date of a standup residency in Austin, Texas.
A representative for the legendary comedian told TMZ that he is currently self-isolating and is experiencing no symptoms. However, he has now cancelled the rest of his remaining shows at Austin concert venue Stubb’s – including a performance last night (January 21).
Chappelle began the 10-night residency at the venue last week and was scheduled to perform until the end of this week, with several dates featuring Joe Rogan as co-headliners.
An Instagram post from earlier this week showed Rogan and Chappelle together at the venue with a selection of guests including Elon Musk and Grimes – who previously tested positive for the virus earlier this month.
Due to social distancing requirements, no individual seats were sold to the shows. Instead, attendees were required to purchase a table of four, six, or eight seats. Attendees also received a rapid COVID-19 antigen test upon arrival and were asked to wear face masks at all times.
Adele Reaches Divorce Settlement With Ex Nearly 2 Years After Split!
Adele and Simon Konecki have reached a divorce settlement nearly two years after their split.
According to multiple outlets, the former couple filed their divorce agreement with the court in Los Angeles on Friday (January 22). Adele and Simon, who share an 8-year-old son, Angelo, now have to wait for a judge to sign the agreement, which will officially dissolve their marriage.
The 32-year-old singer and the 46-year-old CEO announced their split in April 2019 after seven years together. "Adele and her partner have separated," Adele's representatives said in a statement to the Associated Press at the time. "They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment."
The "Hello" singer officially filed for divorce from Simon five months later, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The divorce filing also showed that both parties wanted joint custody and visitation of their son and planned to negotiate their custody agreement in mediation. The divorce filing also noted that they planned to use a mediator to determine spousal support and separation of their assets and properties.
Adele and Simon went public with their relationship in January 2012 and welcomed their son nine months later. The two then tied the knot in a secret ceremony in 2016 with Adele publicly addressing the wedding for the first time during an acceptance speech at the 2017 Grammys.

Dallas Man Arrested After Posting Himself and Threatening AOC From Inside Capitol!
A 34-year-old Texas man is behind bars for his role in the January 6 Capitol riot and violent threats, including a call to assassinate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Garrett Miller from Dallas, Texas, is listed in a five-count federal complaint and was arrested Friday, the Associated Press reports.
It didn’t take much to find Miller since he posted pictures and videos of himself inside the Capitol the day the hundreds of Trump Supporters forced their way into the U.S. Capitol.
According to authorities, in a post on Twitter, Miller said, “Assassinate AOC, ” a reference to Cortez.
Miller posted in another tweet: “They are right next time we bring the guns,” an FBI agent wrote in an affidavit.
On Instagram, he had a verbal exchange with a Capitol police officer, saying he planned to “hug his neck with a nice rope.”
But Millers’ self-incrimination may not be accidental. On a Facebook post under a picture of him inside the capitol, he said, “Just want to incriminate myself a little lol.”
“On one hand, you have to laugh, and on the other know that the reason they were this brazen is because they thought they were going to succeed, ” Ocasio-Cortez said on Friday.
Millers’ attorney Clint Broden said that his client regrets his actions and added that he was acting “in a misguided effort to show his support for former President Trump.”
“His social media comments reflect very ill-considered political hyperbole in very divided times and will certainly not be repeated in the future,” Broden said. “He looks forward to putting all of this behind him.”
“We are hopeful that, given his family support and regret for his actions, he will be released so that he can resolve the charges against him in a timely fashion,” Broden added.
Miller’s first hearing is on Monday.
