Lashana Lynch wanted to represent the black community authentically in 'No Time to Die'.
The 32-year-old actress will star in the highly-anticipated James Bond film as Nomi and becomes the first black woman to play a 00 agent in the iconic spy series and revealed she "searched" for moments in the script that black audiences could identify with.
Lashana said: "A character is too slick, a cast-iron figure? That's completely against what I stand for.
"I didn't want to waste an opportunity when it came to what Nomi might represent. I searched for at least one moment in the script where black audience members would nod their heads, tutting at the reality but glad to see their real life represented.
"In every project I am part of, no matter the budget or genre, the black experience that I'm presenting needs to be 100 per cent authentic."
There is an increased female influence on the latest Bond flick with Lashana joined in the cast by actress Lea Seydoux (Dr. Madeleine Swann), Naomie Harris (Eve Moneypenny) and Ana de Armas (Paloma) while 'Fleabag' creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge has helped pen the script for Daniel Craig's final movie as 007. Lashana believes that her role is significant for gender equality.
She told the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine: "We're moving away from toxic masculinity, and that's happening because women are being open, demanding and vocal, and calling out misbehaviour as soon as we see it."
Lashana's role in the film gained extra poignancy as she was able to film in Jamaica, the homeland of her parents.
The 'Captain Marvel' actress said: "(It has given me) a deeper understanding of what I've chosen to do, of the people I do it for. Understanding the privileges as a British-born Jamaican that my parents and grandparents gave to me because they came to England.
"In a way, it serves as a 'thank you' to them for making the sacrifice."

#HipHopNews: Dj Paul Reveals Why Bone Thugs-N-Harmony & Three 6 Mafia Verzuz Battle Got Shelved!
DJ Paul and Krayzie Bone were scheduled to represent their respective groups in an Instagram Live battle in April, but the virtual event never happened. In an interview with HNHH, Paul explained how the independently organized matchup between Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Three 6 Mafia didn’t materialize after Verzuz intervened.
“I was talking to [Verzuz] and they kept telling me they was gonna do it, man,” he said. “Then, they just ended up changin’ they mind. It’s like, I don’t know why they came in just to stop our thing and then didn’t wanna do it. But whatever, I still got love for Swizz [Beatz] and Timbaland. Love you guys to death.”
The Bone Thugs and Three 6 Mafia battle was scheduled to take place on April 30. But according to Paul, Swizz reached out to Krayzie less than an hour before it was going to begin and made the Ohio-bred rapper reconsider.
“It was finna happen,” Paul recalled. “Like 30 minutes. Literally 30-35 minutes, literally 35 minutes before we went live, Swizz’s people called Krayzie Bone and they was like, ‘We gon’ do it on Verzuz, so don’t do it.’ And I was like, ‘Look dude, we still need to do it, man.’ I was like, ‘I don’t know— when is the Verzuz gon’ happen? Like, we still need to do it.'”
He continued, “I guess Krayzie didn’t wanna do— he’d rather do the Verzuz than ours. He just kinda backed off and stopped picking up his phone. And I was like ‘OK.’ And I just left it alone. And then next thing I know, he tweeted and said he didn’t wanna do it at all because of the temperature of what was going on in the world. Verzuz kept moving on and everything else kept going. I was like, ‘Alright, I kind saw this coming and I tried to tell you, but whatever.”
Perhaps Swizz can make it right in Verzuz Season 2, which starts on November 19. The popular battle series will return with an Atlanta-centric showdown between T.I. and Jeezy.
Chris Brown Urges People To "Protect Ya Families" Following Election!
He encourages people to be "smart and safe" once this presidential election ends.
Election day is here and while millions of Americans have already cast their votes by mail, tens of millions of people have lined up at polling places throughout the country today (November 3). The onslaught of election coverage is enough to send anyone into a panic, but Chris Brown dropped off a bit of advice for people who are concerned about what things may be like when election day comes to a close.
"PLEASE YALL... after this election sh*t... protect ya families and friends... be smart and safe please... these folks done lost they damn mind," the father of two shared on his Instagram Story. There have been a handful of radicals bracing themselves for some sort of battle in the streets as they threaten others if the candidate they voted for doesn't win, but most people seem to be looking forward to the peaceful end to this presidential election cycle.
As brief as it may be, Brown's warning has been echoed repeatedly throughout social media. Photos and videos from major cities have circulated over the last week showing entire blocks boarding up windows and storefronts. With whoever wins America's election, it's expected that some sort of civil unrest may be inevitable. No matter where you may be in the country, be safe out there.

Kourtney Kardashian Faces Backlash For Spreading Mask Conspiracy Theory!
It seems as though the Kardashian/Jenner sisters aren’t catching a break. After both Kim Kardashian West and Kendall Jenner were recently criticized for having birthday parties in the midst of a surging COVID-19 spike, Kourtney Kardashian is now the subject of scrutiny for posting about a mask conspiracy theory.
Kourtney Kardashian, 41, the eldest of the Kardashian sisters, took to her Instagram stories to post the controversial statement,
“Those Blue Masks Mandated at grocery stores & airplanes are made of PTFE, a carcinogen made of synthetic fluoride.”
The post continued on,
“According to Cancer.Org it increases the risk of liver, testicle, pancreas, kidney & breast tumors + ulcerative colitis, thyroid disease, preeclampsia and high cholesterol. High exposure can cause influenza-like symptoms and hemorrhaging in the lungs, leading to suffocation.”
But the claim was shut down by Dr. William Cance, chief medical and scientific officer of the ACS. He told the New York Post,
“There is no evidence to support the claim that the presence of PTFE in a mask causes cancer.”
He further added,
“As a surgical oncologist, I, along with thousands of colleagues in the health-care profession, have been wearing masks for years to protect patients from the spread of infections.”
The high profile family, with a combined multi millions of followers, are extremely influential in their posts–Kourtney alone has 102 million followers.

Hillsong Pastor & Justin Bieber's Spiritual Mentor Carl Lentz Fired From Mega-Church for 'Moral Failures'!
Carl Lentz, megachurch pastor, has been fired from his position at Hillsong due to “moral failures.”
The megachurch’s founder Brian Houston announced the 41-year-old pastor’s termination in a statement on Wednesday (November 4).
“Hillsong Church East Coast advised our congregation that we have terminated the employment of Pastor Carl Lentz,” Houston said in a statement obtained by People. “This action was not taken lightly and was done in the best interests of everyone, including Pastor Carl.”
He added that Carl‘s firing comes after “ongoing discussions in relation to leadership issues and breaches of trust, plus a recent revelation of moral failures.” Houston also said that it would “not be appropriate” to go further into why Carl was fired.
Carl first became a pastor at the New York location of Hillsong in 2010. He quickly rose in popularity in the church, while bringing several high-profiled celebs into the church.
Carl became a close spiritual confidant to Justin Bieber several years ago. The 26-year-old singer briefly lived with Carl in 2014 and Carl provided guidance for Justin after his breakup from Selena Gomez in 2017.
“We thank Pastors Carl and [wife] Laura for the way they have served faithfully and sacrificially since the start of Hillsong NYC and for contributing so significantly to the countless lives that have been transformed for Jesus Christ through this ministry,” Houston added. “They have a heart for people and we are confident that after a time of rest and restoration, God will use Carl in another way outside of Hillsong church. In terminating his tenure, we in no way want to diminish the good work he did here.”
Carl Lentz has not publicly addressed his firing yet.

Lamar Odom No Longer Engaged To Sabrina Parr As He ‘Desperately’ Seeks Help!
Former NBA star Lamar Odom and fiancee Sabrina Parr have called off their engagement. The 33-year-old trainer took to her Instagram to announce that she made the difficult decision to break things off with Odom due to the fact that the two-time NBA champion needs to personally attend on his issues alone.
Parr posted a heartfelt message explaining her decision:
“Ya’ll know how I’m honest and transparent so I have to be the first to let you guys know that I am no longer engaged to Lamar,” Parr told her followers on her Instagram stories on Wednesday (per The Daily Mail). “I love him dearly but I am no longer able to be by his side while he seeks the help he so desperately needs. I wish him all the best and I am asking that you pray for everyone involved.”
The couple was originally set to get married in November 2021 after the former NBA athlete proposed to Parr last year. Odom and Parr had been seen together on social media frequently, especially over the summer when they spent their quarantine months together. The couple even announced in August that their initial plan was to get married before the winter of next year.
Though Odom has battled through different issues with drugs in the past, it is still unclear what Parr was specifically referring to, leaving everyone speculating.
Lamar Odom’s last marriage was in 2009 when he tied the knot with Khloe Kardasian, which the reality TV star called off a few years after. The former Los Angeles Laker wing and NBA star also has two kids, Destiny (22) and Lamar Jr. (18), from his former partner Liza Morales.

"There were tears at night because this is something scary that I normally wouldn’t do and I couldn’t really talk to anyone," she admitted to Us Weekly, telling the publication that a part of herself was happy that she didn't have to keep her appearance on The Masked Singer a secret from her loved ones anymore. "My parents would call me, and I couldn’t pick up or anything. I think they thought I fled the country or something. It was all so emotional that it really hit me at night!" BLM Activist Cori Bush Becomes Missouri’s First Black Congresswoman!
During Election night Black Lives Matter Activist Cori Bush became Missouri’s first black congresswoman after she garnered a whopping 84 percent of the vote in the states 1st Congressional District.
During her acceptance speech, she told her supporters, “This is definitely a night to remember.” She said, “This has been a historic day from the beginning to the end.”
Bush was backed by the Justice Democrats who helped propel Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to her first upset victory over 10-term incumbent Joe Crowley.
In August Bush has her own upset victory, defeating longtime incumbent, Missouri Rep. William Lacy Clay.
In 2014, Bush got involved with the Black Lives Matter movement when unarmed black teen Michael Brown was shot and killed by a white police officer in Ferguson.
Bush joined the protests that erupted in the wake of the shooting and she soon began taking lead in the protests in the Missouri district
She has remained engaged in protest work ever since, getting heavily involved in the recent protests surrounding the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.
Dr. Dre's Alleged Mistress Kili All Smiles After Being Dragged Into His Divorce!
Dr. Dre's alleged mistress Kili Anderson was seen without a worry on social media days after being dragged into the music mogul's nasty divorce from Nicole Young.
In the past couple of weeks, Kili, who is a model turned skincare entrepreneur, has posted a ton of photos on her private Instagram. Earlier this week, Kili was seen looking gorgeous while smiling from ear to ear standing next to one of her close friends.
Kili captioned the post, "#FB to the most perfect birthday ever! ✨✨I think 44 might be my year. 🥰🔥🙌🏽" She doesn't appear to have a care in the world after receiving a subpoena by Dre's wife Nicole.
As previously reported, earlier this year, Nicole filed for divorce from Dre after 24 years of marriage. Nicole recently fired off three subpoenas to women she believes the mogul had an affair with during their relationship.
The women are singer/songwriter Jillian Speer, model Kili Anderson, and Crystal Rogers aka Crystal Sierra.
Nicole wants to depose the women to grill them about their relationship with her husband. Nicole feels they could have important information regarding Dre. All three of the women are objecting to the subpoena. They have refused to sit for a deposition and answer questions about Dre. A judge may order them to be grilled under oath if Nicole has her way.
Dre's alleged mistress, Crystal Sierra, has been making waves since her name hit headlines. She recently dressed up as a devil on Halloween with horns coming from her head.
After people starting looking through her IG, Crystal decided to scrub her social media of all recent photos. One of the ones deleted from her profile was a photo with Dre taken in June. The two were seen in the recording studio with a group of other men working on music.

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Kidnapper Sentenced To 24 Years In Prison!
The high-ranking gang member who kidnapped Tekashi 6ix9ine was sentenced to 24 years behind bars in Manhattan federal court Wednesday.
Anthony “Harv” Ellison, a Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods member, was found guilty last year of orchestrating the gunpoint kidnapping and robbery of the rapper — and, a few months later, the ear-to-chin slashing of a rival, whose wound required 300 stitches.
“This was not a book club that you chose to affiliate with,” US District Judge Paul Engelmayer noted to Ellison of his gang before handing down his sentence.
Prosecutors had recommended a sentence of 30 years to life, arguing that Ellison has refused to accept responsibility and is a danger to the community.
“I’m not an angel but I’m not a monster either,” Ellison, 33, pleaded to Engelmayer, according to Inner City Press. “The moment comes when you understand your purpose sort of like a blessing.”
Tekashi last year testified against Ellison, who was once his bodyguard, and other former associates, helping to secure his conviction. The face-tattooed rapper-turned-snitch was also once a member of the gang, according to trial testimony.
Jurors were shown video of Tekashi — whose real name is Daniel Hernandez — begging for his life as he was ordered from his car at gunpoint in July 2018.

Ellison and another man beat him up, robbed him of over $100,000 in jewelry — including a diamond-encrusted My Little Pony chain — then debated whether to kill him before letting him go.
Meanwhile, the slashing victim was an associate of a rival gang member who had shot and paralyzed Ellison’s friend, according to federal prosecutors.
Tekashi got just two years in prison for his role in the gang, and was released early to home detention due to the coronavirus.
