#HipHopNews: Master P Explains Why He Told Snoop Dogg To Axe $1M 'Fuck Death Row' Album!
Snoop Dogg appeared on a recent episode of The Breakfast Club where he told Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee about the time Master P saved his life.
Shortly after leaving Death Row Records in 1998, the gangsta rap pioneer was plotting an album called Fuck Death Row. Fortunately for him, Master P talked him out of it and Snoop went on to lead a fruitful life. Had he not, things could’ve potentially spilled out into the streets and there’s no telling where Snoop would be today.
During a new episode of The Breakfast Club, the No Limit boss was asked what “God told in him that moment to help Snoop.”

Master P replied, “I’m about doing what’s right, man. I told Snoop whatever you say about Suge Knight, that man did you put you on, put you in the game, so doing that would be a bad move because it’s all about integrity — you got to be thankful.
“I think a lot of people aren’t thinking like that. You got to be thankful for the opportunities. I told him. I said, ‘When you’re the boss you can do whatever you want to do. You need to go boss up now.’ We don’t need to be getting into it with other Black men.”

While speaking to The Breakfast Club trio, Snoop also noted Mack 10 was willing to give him $1 million to put out Fuck Death Row. At the time, Mack 10’s label Hoo-Bangin’ Records was under the Priority umbrella along with No Limit.
“I would go up there [to the office] to see Mack 10 and when I would go up there, I would have to pass by Master P’s No Limit shit,” he said. After striking a working relationship with P, Snoop told him about the Fuck Death Row album.
“I said, ‘I got this album called Fuck Death Row. This muthafucka hard.” But Master P warned him he wouldn’t “live to see that album out.” So with that, Snoop shelved the idea and kept it moving.

Toward the end of the conversation, Snoop added, “Do you realize that that saved my life?. Thank God for Master P.”

P Diddy’s Son Christian Combs ‘Injured In Car Crash’!
P Diddy’s son Christian Combs has reportedly been injured after being involved in a car crash on Tuesday night. The 22-year-old was involved in an incident in Beverly Hills which saw a Tesla crash into his red Ferrari. A representative for Christian confirmed he was ‘safe and well’ after the other driver crashed into the back of the rapper’s car while driving under the influence. According to TMZ, the rapper was treated at the scene but did not need to be taken to a hospital for his injuries.

The site claims that the driver of the Tesla was speeding down Sunset Boulevard before he smashed into Christian’s car. It is reported that the driver was then made to take a field sobriety test before being arrested. The rapper shared a picture with the car hours before the incident
The crash came days after Christian paid tribute to his late mother Kim Port, who died suddenly in November 2018. He wrote: ‘I Love you and I miss you so much mommy I know you in heaven shining down on me.’ Diddy previously admitted Kim’s death from pneumonia-related compilations meant his ‘thinking had to change’. Ever since the rapper has been focused on the future for their kids Quincy, Christian and twin girls D’Lila Star and Jessie James.

Michelle Obama Speaks Candidly About Her Mental Health During This Difficult Time!
Michelle Obama is also learning how to manage the emotional highs and lows brought on by the ongoing pandemic and period of racial unrest. In the second episode of The Michelle Obama Podcast featuring her longtime friend journalist Michele Norris, the former first lady candidly spoke about the state of her mental health during this difficult time. "Spiritually, these are not fulfilling times," she said.

Though these certainly aren't the first unusual circumstances Michelle has weathered, she previously relied heavily on a routine, which of course has been disrupted these past few months. Michelle said, "For Barack and I, we've lived outside of the norm of regular life for quite some time, and what we learned early on in the White House is that in order to stay sane and feel like the human that you once were, you have to have a schedule and a routine that's pretty lockstep."

"I've gone through those emotional highs and lows that I think everybody feels."
Michelle went on to share how her sleep and exercise schedules have suffered lately. "I'm going to bed a little bit later, and I'm waking up in the middle of the night 'cause I'm worrying about something or there's a heaviness," she said. "I try to get a workout in, although there have been periods throughout this quarantine where I just have felt too low. I've gone through those emotional highs and lows that I think everybody feels, where you just don't feel yourself. There's been a week or so where I had to surrender to that, and not be so hard on myself, and say, 'You know what? You're just not feeling that treadmill right now.'"

Michelle described feeling "out of body" and "out of mind" as a result of the onslaught of disheartening news. She explained, "I know that I am dealing with some form of low-grade depression — not just because of the quarantine, but because of the racial strife. Just seeing this administration, watching the hypocrisy of it, day in and day out, is dispiriting." Michelle later added, "I'd be remiss to say that part of this depression is also a result of what we're seeing in terms of the protests, the continued racial unrest that has plagued this country since its birth . . . It is exhausting. It has led to a weight that I haven't felt in my life in a while."

Ultimately, Michelle has given herself permission to feel those feelings, while also turning to her family for support and pockets of joy. "I have had to kind of give myself that: those days, those moments. But for the most part, staying in a routine, getting a workout in, trying to get outside; schedule has been key, and having a regular dinner time," she said. "I'm finding that in quarantine, we look forward to that."

Jurnee Smollett Defends Jussie’s Innocence: ‘I Believe My Brother’!
Jussie Smollett’s sister, Jurnee, is standing by his side amid the ongoing investigation into whether the actor paid two men to stage an attack against him in January 2019.
“It’s been f–king painful,” Jurnee, 33, told The Hollywood Reporter, “one of the most painful things my family’s ever experienced — to love someone as much as we love my brother, and to watch someone who you love that much go through something like this, that is so public, has been devastating.”

The actress continued, “I was already in a very dark space for a number of reasons, and I’ve tried to not let it make me pessimistic. But everyone who knows me knows that I love my brother and I believe my brother.”
In January 2019, the “Empire” actor told police that he was attacked outside his apartment building in Chicago by two men in ski masks who taunted him with homophobic and racial slurs and put a noose around his neck.

Charges of filing false police reports were made, dropped and re-instated in the bizarre case. Jussie, 38, has steadfastly maintained his innocence throughout the ordeal. In June, it was announced brothers Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo, who claim Jussie paid them to stage a hate crime, will testify against him.
Jurnee, who stars in the buzzed about HBO series “Lovecraft Country,” reveals that is has been “maddening” not to be able to defend her brother, but insists that the controversial case has not negatively impacted her career.

“We are blessed to have a community of people who know him,” she said, “and know that he wouldn’t do this.”

The FBI raided Jake Paul’s Home As Part Of An Investigation Into A Mall ‘Riot’
The Federal Bureau of Investigation raided the California home of YouTube star Jake Paul this morning, according to TMZ and CBSLA. Agents removed several objects that looked like firearms from Paul’s home, ABC7 reported. The bureau is investigating “allegations of criminal acts” surrounding an incident at an Arizona mall in May, a spokesperson for the FBI’s Phoenix office told The Verge.

A second location, in Las Vegas, Nevada, was also raided today in connection with the investigation. TMZ says the home is owned by Arman Izadi, a friend of Paul who was also connected to the incident at the mall.
Police in Scottsdale, Arizona previously called the incident in the mall a “riot.” The FBI appears to have taken over the investigation into the events at the Scottsdale Fashion Square mall. Scottsdale police filed misdemeanor charges against Jake Paul in June for his alleged involvement. Arman Izadi — as well as a third person, Andrew Leon — received misdemeanor charges as well.
Those misdemeanor charges are now being dismissed, local police told The Verge. The police department says it is now coordinating with the FBI to “ensure that justice is served.” It said the charges are being dropped so that “a federal criminal investigation can be completed.”

The FBI spokesperson confirmed that “federal search warrants” were executed in California and Las Vegas in connection with the investigation this morning. A spokesperson for the FBI’s Los Angeles office declined to comment on the evidence sought or recovered in the California raid, saying that the warrant remained under seal. The spokesperson also declined to say when the seal would be lifted. No arrests have been made or are planned, the Los Angeles spokesperson told The Verge.

Paul’s house is also the home base of Team 10, Paul’s YouTube collective, and other members frequently live in and work from the house. Paul has yet to comment on the search. The Verge emailed Paul’s listed business address requesting comment, but the message bounced back with an error saying the address couldn’t be found or receive mail.
“We are still gathering information and will cooperate with the investigation,” Paul’s attorney, Richard Schonfeld, told TMZ. Schonfeld said Paul was not home at the time of the search.

Paul was recently criticized by the mayor of Calabasas, California, where he lives, for throwing a large party during the pandemic. The mayor said that Calabasas would begin issuing fines for failing to wear a mask while near other people outside a home.

Migos Member Takeoff Getting Sued By A Woman Who Claims He Raped Her!
It looks like Takeoff has a serious allegation against him!  TMZ reports a woman, identified as Jane Doe, claims Migos member Takeoff raped her in June at a party in Lost Angeles. According to legal documents obtained by the publication, the Jane Doe alleges that Takeoff made her feel “uncomfortable” while they were at a party. She says he kept staring at her and offered her some weed but she declined.

She says the alleged incident happened when she went upstairs with the man who invited her to the party, Takeoff was coming down the stairs and ended up getting into an argument with the man the Jane Doe was with. She claims she hid in a room nearby but Takeoff found his way in there and starting touching her buttocks. She said she made it clear that she wasn’t interested but Takeoff allegedly “flipped her over face down” and raped her.

The woman says Takeoff left immediately after. She went to a local hospital and says that the nurses witnessed her physical evidence of forceful rape and they notified LAPD. The Jane Doe is suing for sexual battery, assault, emotional distress, and more and wants damages.

Takeoff hasn’t addressed the situation publicly. However, the last post on his Instagram, which was posted in July says “Don’t believe the hype…”

Danielle Brooks To Portray Gospel Legend Mahalia Jackson In Lifetime Biopic!
Fresh off the success of The Clark Sisters biopic, Lifetime is preparing to release another film on a famous gospel legend. Danielle Brooks, of Orange is the Knew Black fame, is set to play gospel pioneer, Mahalia Jackson, in an upcoming film executive produced by journalist Robin Roberts, the network announced on Monday (Aug. 3).
The film, Robin Roberts Presents: The Mahalia Jackson Story, will be helmed by Tony Award-winning director, Kenny Leon, whose credits include the Lifetime remake of Steel Magnolias, featuring an all-Black cast. Brooks and Leon previously worked together on the stage production of Much Ado About Nothing.

Brooks starred as “Beatrice” in Much Ado About Nothing, and made her Broadway debut in The Color Purple, the latter of which earned her a Tony nomination.
“Having had the privilege of working with Kenny on 'Steel Magnolias' and Robin Roberts on 'Stolen by my Mother,' I am ecstatic to have them join forces to work together on this special project,” said Tanya Lopez, Lifetime’s EVP of Movies, Limited Series & Original Movie Acquisitions. “Adding Danielle Brooks as Mahalia is icing on the cake. This team is committed in celebrating the legacy of Mahalia and reintroducing her to a world that needs her spirit more than ever.”

A four-time Grammy award winner and Grammy Hall of Fame inductee, Jackson was born in New Orleans in 1911. She began singing at an early age and become one of the most revered gospel artists in history. Her 1947 recording of “Move On Up a Little Higher” sold eight million copies, and it wasn’t the only platinum-selling effort from the music icon. Jackson also broke multiple barriers, including becoming the first gospel act to perform at Carnegie Hall.

In addition to recording more than 30 albums over her career, Jackson was an active participant in the civil rights movement. She performed at the 1963 March on Washington, and hoped that her music would act as catalyst to “break down” racial division.

Jackson died from heart failure and complications brought on by diabetes in 1972 at the age of 60.

In the new HBO quarantine comedy, the 35-year-old Insecure actress plays a philanthropist who runs in the same circles Ivanka Trump.
“For me, this is kind of an education because I do tend to try to avoid as much of the Trump family as possible,” Issa said during the virtual CTAM panel promoting the show via The Wrap. “And Ivanka, in particular, I’ve always found fascinating — but not fascinating enough to listen to.”

“So it took a lot to research,” Issa continued. “And the more I found out, the more horrified I was. And a lot of that is expressed through the work. But a testament to [writer] Paul [Rudnick]’s writing. It was just incredible to read and immediately resonated.”

Directed by Jay Roach, Issa stars in the special alongside Bette Midler, Sarah Paulson, Dan Levy, and Kaitlyn Dever.
According to HBO, “Coastal Elites spotlights five distinct and impassioned points-of-view across the United States. When the shutdown forces these characters to cope in isolation, they react with frustration, hilarity and introspection.”

Republicans Behind Kanye West Presidential Bid!
Last month rapper Kanye West announced he was running for president of the United States under the newly formed 'Birthday Party.
While Kanye may be the "Birthday Party" candidate he's being propped up by Republicans...

From The Daily Mail
At least four Republicans have been revealed to be playing an active role in helping to aid Kanye West’s 2020 presidential bid, as the rapper made the deadline to file as an independent candidate in Wisconsin on Tuesday.
West’s ties to the individuals has raised questions about the intentions of his White House bid and whether the campaign is a GOP-orchestrated ruse to help siphon votes from Joe Biden in vital swing-states to benefit President Trump.
Petitioning company Let The Voters Decide, which is headed by Mark Jacoby, has been helping the Grammy-winning artist secure signatures to run in three states: Ohio, West Virginia and Arkansas. Jacoby was arrested on charges of voter fraud in 2008 while working for the Republican Party in California.
West’s nominating petitions were dropped off with state regulators in Madison by Lane Ruhland before Tuesday’s 5pm deadline. Ruhland, a top Republican lawyer and former general counsel for the state GOP, was filmed dropping off the signatures.

Gregg Keller, the former executive director of the American Conservative Union, has been listed as a contact for West’s campaign in Arkansas. Keller, a Missouri-based strategist, was previously under consideration to become Donald Trump’s campaign manager in 2015, but lost out to Corey Lewandowski, the New York Times reported.
The fourth person with partisan ties linked to the West campaign is Chuck Wilton, from Vermont, who is listed as a convention delegate for Trump and as an elector with the West bid, who could potentially cast an Electoral College vote for the rapper if he were to win the state. Wilton’s wife, Wendy, is a Trump appointee at the United States Department of Agriculture.

Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson Are Officially Back Together!
After two cheating scandals and a public ousting of a family friend, Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson are officially back together, and apparently, things “have been going really well.”
“Khloe is doing what she feels is right for herself and her daughter, True,” a source told Entertainment Tonight, adding that the 36-year-old reality star is well aware of the backlash and criticism she may receive.

“Khloe never listened to outside voices, she’s always stayed true to her heart,” the source continued. “Things with Khloe and Tristan have been great, and the couple is taking this time in quarantine to really reconnect and enjoy one another.”
The rekindled romance comes a year after Thompson’s second cheating scandal, in which he allegedly kissed Jordyn Woods. In the first scandal, Thompson was caught on camera with two women, in 2018, just days before Khloe gave birth to their first child together, True.

However, after spending quarantine together, the two have decided to take their co-parenting relationship to the next level.
“At the end of the day, Khloe wants her daughter, True, to have both her parents around as much as possible, and if they can make it work, she wants to try,” a source said last month. “Khloe has gone through a lot and has reiterated that to Tristan, who insists he has changed.”

New York Attorney General Letitia James Moves To Dissolve The NRA After Fraud Investigation!
The attorney general of New York took action Thursday to dissolve the National Rifle Association following an 18-month investigation that found evidence the powerful gun rights group is "fraught with fraud and abuse."
Attorney General Letitia James claims in a lawsuit filed Thursday that she found financial misconduct in the millions of dollars and that it contributed to a loss of more than $64 million over a three-year period.
The suit alleges that top NRA executives misused charitable funds for personal gain, awarded contracts to friends and family members, and provided contracts to former employees to ensure loyalty.

Seeking to dissolve the NRA is the most aggressive sanction James could have sought against the not-for-profit organization, which James has jurisdiction over because it is registered in New York. James has a wide range of authorities relating to nonprofits in the state, including the authority to force organizations to cease operations or dissolve. The NRA is all but certain to contest it.
"The NRA's influence has been so powerful that the organization went unchecked for decades while top executives funneled millions into their own pockets," James said in a statement. "The NRA is fraught with fraud and abuse, which is why, today, we seek to dissolve the NRA, because no organization is above the law."
James' complaint names the National Rifle Association as a whole but also names four current and former NRA executives: Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre, general counsel John Frazer, former Chief Financial Officer Woody Phillips and former chief of staff Joshua Powell.

It lists dozens of examples of alleged financial malfeasance, including the use of NRA funds for vacations, private jets and expensive meals. In a statement, James' office said that the charitable organization's executives "instituted a culture of self-dealing, mismanagement and negligent oversight" that contributed to "the waste and loss of millions in assets."
The lawsuit seeks to dissolve the NRA in its entirety and asks the court to order LaPierre and other current and former executives to pay back unlawful profits. It also seeks to remove LaPierre and Frazer from the organization's leadership and prevent the four named individuals from ever serving again on the board of a charity in New York.

Allegations against CEO Wayne LaPierre
LaPierre, who also serves as CEO, has held the top position at the organization for nearly 30 years. In the attorney general's lawsuit he is accused of using charitable funds for personal gain, including a post-employment contract valued at more than $17 million that was not approved by the NRA's board of directors.
The lawsuit also claims that LaPierre received more than $1.2 million in expense reimbursements over four years, including gifts for friends, travel expenses and memberships at golf clubs and hotels.
And it alleges that he spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on private plane trips, including for extended family when he was not present; traveled to Africa with his wife on a safari gifted by an NRA vendor; and spent more than $3.6 million on luxury black car services and travel consultants in the past two years.

Those who attempted to blow the whistle on this behavior, the suit claims, were retaliated against by LaPierre.

Allegations against former CFO Woody Phillips, former chief of staff Joshua Powell and general counsel John Frazer
James' lawsuit alleges that Phillips, whose job it was to manage the financial operations of the charitable organization, lied on financial disclosure forms and set up numerous deals to enrich himself and his girlfriend.
The New York attorney general claims that Phillips set up a contract for himself just before he retired and that the package was worth $1.8 million — purportedly for consulting services to the incoming treasurer. But the incoming treasurer told the New York attorney general that he was not aware of this contract. Phillips also directed a deal worth more than $1 million to his girlfriend, the suit alleges.

Meanwhile, James alleges that former NRA chief of staff Joshua Powell's salary more than tripled a little more than two years into his tenure, which began in 2016. While he began at $250,000, Powell's salary rose to $800,000.
Powell is also accused of directing charitable funds to be used for the benefit of his family members. The New York attorney general said that Powell approved of a $5 million consulting contract with the firm McKenna & Associates. That firm, in turn, hired Powell's wife and passed her a $30,000 monthly consulting fee through the NRA. Powell also arranged for an NRA vendor to hire his father as a paid photographer, leading to $90,000 in fees for his father — funds that were ultimately billed to the NRA.

The New York attorney general did not allege that NRA general counsel John Frazer committed financial misconduct, but said that he failed to comply with board governance procedures, failed to ensure the NRA was in compliance with whistleblower laws and repeatedly certified false or misleading annual statements by the NRA.

The NRA's already precarious financial situation
James' lawsuit is sure to be contested in court by the National Rifle Association.
Even before this move, the NRA was in dire financial straits. A secret recording of an NRA board meeting obtained by NPR in April showed LaPierre telling the audience that the NRA's legal troubles have cost the organization $100 million.

"The cost that we bore was probably about a hundred-million-dollar hit in lost revenue and real cost to this association in 2018 and 2019," LaPierre said, according to a tape recorded by a source in the room. "I mean, that's huge."
Much of this has to do with its legal troubles. Facing congressional inquiries and investigations by multiple state attorneys general, as well as internal whistleblower complaints, the NRA's finances have sagged under the burden of legal costs. In the ongoing litigation between the NRA and Ackerman McQueen, its former public relations firm, a brief filed by the firm on April 15 indicates its belief that the NRA has paid its outside legal counsel "over $54 million" in the past two years.

The turmoil at the NRA also could have political ramifications ahead of the 2020 elections. The NRA spent tens of millions of dollars in 2016 to support then-candidate Donald Trump — a role it appears it will be unlikely to be able to repeat given its current financial condition.
