#HipHopNews: Youngboy Never Broke Again’s 38 Baby 2 Album Debuts At No. 1 On Billboard 200 Chart!
On Sunday (May 3), Billboard unveiled the top 10 of its Billboard 200 album chart, revealing NBA YoungBoy's new 38 Baby 2 album had debuted at the No. 1 spot. The Baton Rouge, La. rapper's latest release moved 67,000 equivalent album units, with 4,000 coming from traditional album sales.
The new album contains 17 songs with only one feature from a recording artist via DaBaby's cameo on the track "Thug of Spades." The accomplishment marks NBA YoungBoy's fourth top 10 release since 2018 including the projects Until Death Call My Name (No. 7), AI YoungBoy 2 (No. 1) and Still Flexin, Still Steppin (No. 2).
Unfortunately, it looks like the sales feat comes as the rapper is preparing to go on a hiatus from music. Right before the release of 38 Baby 2, NBA told fans he would be taking a break following an alarming tweet that had his supporters worried about his well-being. That means his collab project with Boosie BadAzz may be put on hold.
This week, the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart was once again represented by hip-hop in a major way. Other artists with top 10 finishes include DaBaby (Blame It on Baby, No. 2), Lil Uzi Vert (Eternal Atake, No. 3), The Weeknd (After Hours, No. 4), Lil Baby (My Turn, No. 5), Post Malone (Hollywood's Bleeding, No. 6), Roddy Ricch (Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial, No. 8), Travis Scott (Astroworld, No. 9) and Megan Thee Stallion (Suga, No. 10).
‘American Idol’ Top 11: Who made the cut? Did the right singers survive?
Watch out, “American Idol” is getting ruthless now. After last Sunday’s feel-good episode that had the Top 20 contestants singing from the comfort of their homes, the ax is falling in a major way tonight. Our 20 contestants are getting sliced to only 10 and we’re going to have to say good-bye to a few favorites.
So what went down? Well, first of all, let’s change that Top 10 to an 11. Turns out that judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie used their “save” power to keep an extra contestant in the running. At the end of the night it was announced that Makayla Phillips had been spared from elimination. Do you think the judges used their “save” wisely?
And then there was good news for Bay Area fans, as both Grace Leer of Danville and Francisco Martin survived the cut. We’ll have to review our records from past years, but this is the first time in our memory that the Bay Area has had two contestants make it this far in the iconic singing competition.
On a night when the theme was songs that reminded the contestants of “home,” Grace, an alum of San Ramon Valley High School and UC Berkeley, surprised us with her choice. Performing from her mother’s home in San Ramon, she did a lovely version of Judy Garland’s classic, “Over the Rainbow” — a song she said she sang in her third-grade talent show. We’re betting, however, that her vocals didn’t boom like that in grade school!
It’s a surprise because Grace is being pushed as a country artist on the show. But, arguably her best performance of the season was her of Aretha Franklin’s (“You Make Me Feel Like”) A Natural Woman” in Hawaii. So she is no one-trick pony.
The judges liked it. In fact, Bryan, a country singer himself, said he “loved seeing the different side” of Grace. But Lionel advised her to home in on those country fans. Country singers, after all, traditionally have been well supported on “Idol” and Grace is the only country singer left in the competition.
Fans of Francisco were forced to wait until nearly the end of the show to find out he made it. Francisco, again singing from his family home in Daly City, performed “Falling Like the Stars” by James Arthur and the judges truly loved it.
Katy Perry was shedding tears by the end of the sing and Luke, who has been in Francisco’s corner from the start, calls the College of San Mateo student a “diamond in the rough.”
“You really know how to get all the emotion out of a song,” he added.
Here are the Top 11 singers in order they were announced:
— Louis Knight (“In My Place” by Coldplay)
— Julia Gargano (“New York State of Mind” by Billy Joel)
— Jovin Webb (“Voodoo” by Allen Stone)
— Grace Leer (“Over the Rainbow” by Judy Garland)
— Jonny West (“Faithfully” by Journey)
— Sophia James (“In My Room” by The Beach Boys)
— Arthur Gunn (“Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver)
— Just Sam (“Grandma’s Hands” by Bill Withers)
— Dillon James (“Yesterday” by The Beatles)
— Francisco Martin (“Falling Like the Stars” by James Arthur)
— Makayla Phillips (“The House That Built Me” by Miranda Lambert)
The eliminated artists were: Faith Becnel, Franklin Boone, DeWayne Crocker Jr., Cyniah Elise, Kimmy Gabriela, Aliana Jester, Nick Merico, Lauren Spencer-Smith and Olivia Ximines.
“American Idol” continues next week at 8 p.m. on ABC.
Janet Jackson & Jermaine Dupri's 7-Year Relationship That Ended in a Sad Breakup!
Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri were an unlikely match when after months of speculation, they finally emerged publically to confirm their romantic relationship.
The couple started dating in 2002 before splitting after seven years together. Throughout their relationship, they were tight-lipped about their personal lives.
However, almost 11 years since their split, Dupri is finally opening up about their relationship in an interview with rapper T.I. for his podcast "ExpediTIously."
T.I. and Dupri discussed everything about his relationship with Jackson from their first meeting to what lead to their eventual break-up.
Dupri explained that he met Jackson at the early stage of his career as a producer. He said at the time he considered himself "a nobody," who was only known for his work with Kris Kross and Xscape.
He had accompanied Kris Kross to one of Jackson concerts at The Omni Coliseum when they were introduced to each other backstage.
Their paths crossed again when he discovered that they shared the same hairstylist. Dupri would playfully mention Jackson and ask the stylist to pass messages along, which initiated their flirtation with each other.
Through his work with other clients, they eventually became friends. Their communication increased after he discovered that she didn't have a pager, and he decided to make his move by sending her one.
Dupri admitted that he was surprised that she responded, and from that point, he started showing her a lot of things she had never experienced.
He took Jackson to strip clubs like "Magic City," and to see different parts of Los Angeles, and explained, "we were showing each other multiple things. It was two cool people exchanging energy."
Dupri admitted that the criticism they faced about their relationship brought them closer together because he exposed her to a different world that she enjoyed.
However, after eight years together, he was still not ready to tie the knot, even though he said he felt like they were married in a sense. He revealed that living apart and Jackson's refusal to move to his home in Atlanta lead to their eventual break-up.

Bad Boys Star and Actor Joe Pantoliano is Recovering from a head injury after being hit by car!
“Sopranos” star and iconic character actor Joe Pantoliano was reportedly rushed to the hospital Friday with a severe head injury after being hit by a car while out on a walk.
But he was back home recovering a day later, his Instagram account confirmed.
Pantoliano had been strolling through his Connecticut neighborhood with family when he was struck by a Porsche that was t-boned by another vehicle, his wife, Nancy Sheppard, told TMZ.
The Emmy-winner, who played Ralph Cifaretto on “The Sopranos,” was sent flying backward, striking his head on an old wooden fence, she said.
Pantoliano had posted a video of a rainbow to his official Instagram account shortly before the incident, Sheppard told the gossip site.
“Look at that rainbow! How do you like that beauty?” Pantoliano says from behind the camera.
Pantoliano was back home offering a thumbs up while sporting a gash on the top of his head in photos posted to his account later Friday.
“Joey is home recovering,” the post read. “He has a severe head injury and some chest trauma.
“He is going to be dark on social media for a couple days while recovering. Thank you for all the well wishes and positive vibes. Keep them coming! We’ll be reading them to him to help him get better!”
Joe Biden Sexual Assault Accuser Tara Reade Bails On Fox News Interview!
Joe Biden’s sexual assault accuser reportedly canceled an interview with Fox News’ Chris Wallace following Biden’s MSNBC appearance. According to Mediaite, Tara Reade “abruptly” canceled the Friday interview that would’ve aired on Sunday.
A spokesperson for Fox News told Mediaite that the interview with Reade was never confirmed and that Fox News does not provide details on the booking process.
The accusations against the former Vice President have gained more attention in recent days prompting Biden to release a statement and give a television interview to deny the claims Reade made against him.
In response to the claim that Reade filed a complaint, Biden has requested that the Secretary of the Senate release any personnel documents that would support Reade’s story.
The alleged victim’s story is one that floated around for a long time but never really gained traction in the mainstream until Biden’s 2020 Presidential campaign. The 56-year-old’s story was told to major news outlets like the Washington Post and the Associated Press, but the lack of evidence and corroboration prevented the story from running.
The Fox News appearance would’ve been Reade’s first television interview to discuss her claims against Biden and allowed her to directly respond to the presumptive Democratic nominee after his Friday interview.
Nicki Minaj Denies Dissing Wendy Williams On ‘Say So’ Remix!
On Friday, Doja Cat dropped the remix to her top 5 hit “Say So” featuring the Queen herself. On the outro, Minaj makes reference to an unnamed person whose body is made of fillers and silicone.
“Why you talkin’ about who body fake / With all the fillers in your face / You just full of hate,” she raps. “That real ass ain’t keep ya ni**a home / Now you lookin’ silly / That’s word to silicone.”
Some fans interpreted the lyrics as a diss toward Wendy Williams. But despite their bad blood, Nicki denies that she was taking aim at the talk show host. “The line ain’t about Wendy tho,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories.
It’s not surprising that fans jumped to the conclusion as the two have a contentious history. In March, Williams reignited their beef by taking shots at Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty, who recently registered as a sex offender in California.
“You should’ve never married him because now you’ve ruined everything about what your brand could be,” she said during her “Hot Topics” segment. “Again, you are never going to stand a chance when you are with a man who pulls a knife at rape point. A registered sex offender, you are never going to stand a chance with the public.”
In November, the Queen rapper called out the daytime host, whose ex-husband Kevin Hunter had a baby with another woman during their marriage. “When a woman isn’t really being loved at home, the viciousness is a different type,” she said on Queen Radio. “So I really wanted to pray for you today, because look at where you are now in your life.”
Ellen DeGeneres' Former Bodyguard Breaks Silence With Shocking Allegations!
Ellen DeGeneres’ old bodyguard has come forward with damaging claims against the star.
Tom Majercak, who was hired in 2014 to protect DeGeneres and her loved ones at the Oscars, is breaking his silence on the TV host’s “demeaning” treatment of those in her inner circle. In a recent interview with Fox News, Majercak recalls providing protection for the 62-year-old, her mother Betty, and wife Portia de Rossi the year DeGeneres was hosting the ceremony.
Although he’s “been assigned to quite a few celebrities” over the years, Majercak said DeGeneres was the one star he’s worked with who has “never taken the time to say hi to me.” Majercak fondly remembered Rossi being “very pleasant,” but claimed “Ellen pretty much just gave me a side glance out of her eye and didn’t even say ‘hello,’ or ‘thank you for protecting my mother, my wife, and me.’”
“It was very cold and it was very sly and it was actually kind of demeaning in the way that she treats people other than those who are in her circle,” he added, alleging that celebrities had to be pre-approved to even come by her table during an Oscars after party.
“It’s bugged me for years,” Majercak said. “I see this person come across as being very enlightened and positive and awesome and everybody loves her and is in awe, and that’s really not the case when you meet her in person.”
Majercak’s account is the latest in a steady emergence of unflattering stories about DeGeneres — including a Twitter thread detailing (albeit unverified) negative experiences former staff have had with her. Famous beauty guru NikkieTutorials echoed the same, recalling DeGeneres as being "cold" and "distant" when she appeared on the show in January.
What's more, back in April, union employees of The Ellen DeGeneres Show were outraged after reportedly being left in the dark regarding compensation when the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic forced the show to go on an indefinite hiatus.
OnlyFans sees a spike in traffic following the shoutout from Beyoncé!
Earlier this week (April 29), Beyoncé joined Megan Thee Stallion for a remix of her song “Savage”. All proceeds from the new version of the Suga track are going towards coronavirus relief efforts in the artists’ shared hometown of Houston, but it seems the lyrics had another beneficial effect.
Following the release of the “Savage” remix, a spokesperson for OnlyFans has reportedly linked it to a spike in traffic for the site, telling The Daily Beast: “In less than 24 hours since Megan Thee Stallion dropped her ‘Savage’ remix featuring Beyoncé, OnlyFans has seen a 15 percent spike in traffic.”
Presumably, that has something to do with the new verse in the song, which references the platform alongside TikTok: “Hips TikTok when I dance / On that Demon Time she might start an OnlyFans.”
“The surprise call-out from Beyoncé on the ‘Savage’ remix was very exciting for us, to say the least,” adds OnlyFans CEO and founder Tim Stokely.
Of course, during coronavirus quarantine, Beyoncé’s seal of approval isn’t the only thing directing more traffic towards adult sites such as OnlyFans. Pornhub offering free premium porn has also coincided with rising sex toy sales during self-isolation, and OnlyFans itself has seen sex workers launch a campaign to support the NHS.
CNN's Anderson Cooper announces he's a father!
Wyatt Morgan Cooper was born with the help of a surrogate and is named after Cooper's late father. "I hope I can be as good a dad as he was," Cooper said. CNN's Anderson Cooper delivered some news of his own on Thursday evening: He's a father.
Cooper, 52, said on the network that he is eternally grateful for the surrogate who carried, cared for and gave birth to Wyatt Cooper, who was born Monday at 7.2 pounds.
"It's been a difficult time in all of our lives, and there are certainly many hard days ahead. It is, I think, especially important in these times of trouble to try to hold on to moments of joy and moments of happiness," the anchor said.
"Even as we mourn the loss of loved ones, we're also blessed with new life and new love. So, I just wanted to take a moment and share with you some joyful news of my own: On Monday, I became a father."
"I've never actually said that before, out loud, and it still kind of astonishes me. I am a dad. I have a son, and I want you to meet him," Cooper said before images of the infant were shown.
"On Monday I became a father. I've never said that out loud and it astonishes me," he said Thursday at the end of the #CNNTownHall.
"I have a son." Cooper, who is gay, said he never thought it would be possible to have a child. "I am so grateful for all those who paved the way, and for the doctors and nurses and everyone involved in my son's birth," he said.
"Most of all, I am eternally grateful to a remarkable surrogate who carried Wyatt, watched over him lovingly, tenderly, and gave birth to him," Cooper said. "It's an extraordinary blessing which she and all surrogates give to families who can't have children."
The newsman said the child is named after Cooper's father who died when Cooper was 10 years old, and that his middle name is Morgan, which is a family name on his late mother's side.
"I know my mom and dad liked the name Morgan, because while I was going through her things recently, I found a list they'd made 52 years ago when they were trying to think of names for me. Morgan was on the list," Cooper said. "So that's Wyatt Morgan Cooper, my son."
Cooper said that he wishes his father, mother and brother were alive to meet his son.
"But I'd like to believe that they can see him. I imagine them all together, arms around each other, smiling and laughing and watching, looking down on us — happy to know that their love is alive in me, and in Wyatt, and that our family continues," Cooper said. "A new life, and new love."
