#RHOA: Tea Time! Phaedra Parks May Return to 'RHOA' Despite Kandi Burruss Objections!
The Real Housewives of Atlanta has always been a show filled with drama and messiness. Even though it hasn’t been officially announced, rumors are starting to swirl that a fan favorite Phaedra Parks, might be making a return. Not only is this news surprising because of the way she left the show, but there could be a chance that the series loses one of its longest-running castmate Kandi. What also makes this news surprising is that the show really doesn’t need a cast switch because to-date, the Atlanta show is the highest rated cast of the series.
Known for her quick clap backs and witty one-liners, fans have been missing the lawyer turned reality star. Being on the show from season 3 to season 9, fans became quickly accustomed to Parks. Her last appearance on the show, ended abruptly because she spread a rumor that producers thought, went too far. The rumor was about her old best friend Kandi Burruss. After denying the rumor, during the season 9 reunion, she had to face the truth and admit that she was in the wrong.
Of course, Burruss wanted her off the show. The producers understood and obliged. After 7 seasons, Parks was off the show for what seemed like forever. 3 seasons later, it looks like fans might be getting what they want. First, it started with the rumor that cast member Cynthia Bailey might be leaving the show. She quickly shut that down and said that she was looking forward to next season. This is when the discussion of bringing Parks back started to surface.
Recently, Burruss sat down with The Breakfast Club and dished on how she felt about the rumors. When asked if she stood by her original stance of it either being her or Parks on the show, she confirmed that she still felt the same way. “At the end of the day, they said I called bravo and said that. No, I did not call Bravo and tell them that. Did I say that to anybody? Yes, I did,” Burruss explains.
It does seem like fans have a little pull when it comes to who is on the show and who is not. In the past, Burruss was a fan favorite but as of recent, a lot of people are finding her boring. The same can be said for Bailey who was rumored to be getting replaced by Parks. Fans have been asking the showrunners and producers to bring Parks back and their requests might be getting answered for season 13. Regardless of the cast, season 13 will be full of drama.
#NewMusic: Anthony Hamilton – Back Together (featuring Rick James)!
Anthony Hamilton returns with the brand new single “Back Together” featuring an appearance from the late Rick James. The 9th Wonder produced song features a sample of Rick James’ music that the producer dug out of the crates to create this special duet.
About creating the song and working on it with 9th Wonder, Anthony Hamilton adds:
“Growing up listening to ‘Super Freak’ and ‘Fire and Desire’ made it impossible not to want to sing. This is when I knew, Rick James would be an all- time favorite. 9th Wonder flipped the sample right in front of me. I wrote the song in a way to make it feel like Rick was singing along with me. ‘Back Together’ pays homage to one of the greats. To me, it’s also about love and getting back together with someone you knew was special. In this time of COVID-19, it took on a new meaning too. It means getting back to our lives. Be close to those who are special to you. We all want to be close to anybody right now.”

Beyoncรฉ may have to jump to put jeans on but she most definitely did not get her dance moves from her mama, Tina Knowles. The 38-year-old "Savage Remix" singer's mom tried to show her support for her daughter's collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion but failed miserably when attempting to do the viral dance. In a hilarious Instagram video, Tina Knowles can be seen trying to bust out moves to the viral choreographed dance. She ended up completely lost but never dropped her contagious smile.

Giants CB Deandre Baker, Seahawks CB Quinton Dunbar facing multiple armed robbery charges!
Two NFL cornerbacks are facing multiple charges after an incident at a party on Wednesday night in South Florida.
The New York Giants’ Deandre Baker and Seattle Seahawks’ Quinton Dunbar are each facing four counts of armed robbery with a firearm, while Baker is facing an additional four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, after the two allegedly robbed guests at a party in Miramar, Florida, the Miramar police department said on Thursday.
According to TMZ, Baker and Dunbar were at a cookout at a home in the Miami area on Wednesday night, playing cards and video games, when an argument started. Baker then allegedly “whipped out a semi-automatic firearm.” Per the arrest warrant, Baker allegedly directed two other individuals, one of them Dunbar, to then start robbing the guests.
They allegedly took thousands of dollars in cash, several watches and other valuables from individuals at the party and threatened to shoot people before leaving the house.
An arrest warrant for both players has been issued.
The Giants selected Baker, 22, in the first round of the draft last year. He recorded 61 total tackles and started in 15 games in his rookie year.
“We are aware of the situation,” the Giants said in a statement, via ESPN’s Adam Schefter. “We have been in contact with Deandre. We have no further comment at this time.”
Dunbar, 27, recorded 37 total tackles in 11 games for the Washington Redskins last year, his fifth in the league. He was traded to Seattle in March in exchange for a fifth-round pick, and has one year left on his current deal.
Dunbar even did a 15-minute virtual interview with the media on Thursday morning.
“We are aware of the situation involving Quinton Dunbar and [are] still gathering information,” the Seahawks said in a statement. “We will defer all further comment to league investigators and local authorities.”
Tiffany Haddish Trolled Over Fan-Made 'Coming 2 America' Poster, Accused Of Perpetuating Black Stereotypes!
Fans have waited for over 30 years to enjoy Eddie Murphy's movie 'Coming 2 America', which will be a sequel to the hit film 'Coming to America'. So, when a fake poster of the movie began doing rounds on Twitter featuring the actors who would be appearing in the movie alongside Tiffany Haddish, people were quick to form snap judgments about the film. Many fans instantly declared that the movie wouldn't be as good as they had anticipated after seeing Tiffany on the poster. Although eventually, fans realized that the poster was fake, but the discussion about Tiffany continued.
While several fans criticized Tiffany for perpetuating black stereotypes with her roles, others slammed the trolls for picking on the 'Girls Trip' actress. The discussion also quickly moved to how blacks are the first ones to tear down other black people. Many fans also admitted that it is unfair to just target Tiffany for perpetuating black stereotypes when several other stars like Tyler Perry and Kevin Hart get away with doing the same.
A fan tweeted, "Most people don’t hate Tiffany Haddish just because she’s successful, they dislike her because she plays the same caricature of a black woman in every role she gets. Similar to Kevin Hart who just plays himself in all his projects. I personally don’t care." Another fan wrote, "Is that Tiffany Haddish!?! You probably right... already seems like a FLOP!!!" One more pointed out, "It’s a shame yall don’t see why a lot of us don’t like Tiffany Haddish... she really the stereotype white people see us as loud and ghetto.... in every movie... that’s embarrassing."
Few fans also extended their support to Tiffany by expressing how hard it is for black people to make it in the industry. "Y'all were ALL HERE for this sequel until you saw two Black women on the poster, now all of a sudden, you have concerns and got Tiffany Haddish trending for no damn reason. Don't y'all ever get tired of telling yourselves? I know I do," expressed a fan. Another fan shared, "I won’t ever tear down a black person succeeding. Idc what my opinion of how well they do their craft is.. it’s hard out here for us so i will always root for Tiffany Haddish." Another said, "I'm not sure what Tiffany Haddish did to engender such hate but there are MANY comics some people 'just don't find funny' that don't get this level of vitriol. Even if you don't rock with her, can we be happy it's HER turn in the spotlight for a while? Let her count her bread."
Set in the fictional African kingdom of Zamunda, the movie follows the crown prince, Prince Akeem (Eddie Murphy). The sequel 'Coming 2 America' begins with Akeem set to becoming the King of Zamunda when he discovers that he has a secret son in America. In order to honor his father's dying wish to groom his son as the crown prince of the kingdom, Akeem and his best friend Semmi (Arsenio Hall) go back to the US in search of the mysterious son.
People Had This to Say About Nelly vs. Ludacris’ Memorable 'Verzuz' Battle!
Another week, another memorable installment of the Instagram Live Verzuz series.
On Saturday night, hip-hop superstars Nelly and Ludacris went round for round in a battle of hits, revisiting fan-favorite tracks that that helped define the music landscape of the aughts.
At the top of the event, Luda and Nelly took the time to recognize each other's achievements and contributions to the culture, setting a positive tone for what was to come.
"Your longevity is impeccable, it's worth commending, you know what I mean?" Nelly told Ludacris. "You bust ass every year to make sure you were coming for the No. 1 spot ... It's my pleasure and it's an honor today, my brother, to be rocking with you. I'm glad that our rookie class is the best class of our hip-hop era."
Fans went into the event understandably pumped, however the stream was stalled by number of technical difficulties on Nelly's end.
The pair weren't giving up, though. After logging off again, Nelly returned with a much better, but far from perfect, connection. They then dropped joints like "Holidae In," "Flap Your Wings," "Saturday (Oooh! Ooooh!)," "What's Your Fantasy," and "Country Grammar (Hot Shit)," as the number of viewers surpassed the 400,000 mark.
Toward the end of the stream, Luda played the unreleased version of "Money Maker" featuring Nelly. It seemed the majority of listeners were both surprised and pleased by this iteration.
Broadway Pros Fuming After CBS Replaces Tonys With ‘Grease’ Singalong!
Broadway types are fuming after CBS announced that a singalong version of the 1978 film “Grease” will replace the Tony Awards on the network next month. One theater insider even sent us an email with the eye-catching subject line “Grease is the turd!” — adding, “a rough season for Broadway types just got a whole lot worse.”
The Tonys, which honor the best of Broadway at Radio City Music Hall, remain indefinitely postponed. And though the movie “Grease” was based on a stage musical of the same name, Broadway stars are revolting on Twitter.
Tony nominee Gideon Glick of “To Kill a Mockingbird” tweeted at CBS, “I’m certain there are a million gays out there who could help you curate a greatest hits of the Tony Awards to air instead!” while “Frozen” star Patti Murin mused of the network’s move, “[Not] a retrospective of past great Tony performances and speeches and moments? Or something highlighting the amazing work that people in theatre do for their community? Or literally anything other than this?”
“Dear Evan Hansen” lyricist Benj Pasek opined, “Danny can never replace Tony,” referring to John Travolta’s lead character in “Grease,” and “Hamilton” guru Lin-Manuel Miranda posted a link to the announcement with a vintage photo of Michael Jordan on the court giving side-eye to his much-maligned Bulls teammate Scott Burrell. Former “Spring Awakening” and “Wicked” star Andy Mientus tweeted a link to the news and added, “Why is this hysterical to me.”
Outspoken Broadway power PR pro Rick Miramontez told Page Six of the Tonys being upstaged for “Grease”: “As class president of LA’s John Marshall High School during the actual filming of ‘Grease,’ I feel I need to be diplomatic about this one: Let me put it this way, even during quarantine I expect to have something vastly more interesting to do with my June 7 evening than tune in.” (For movie buffs, John Marshall High School was also featured in “Pretty in Pink,” “A Nightmare on Elm Street,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher” music video and many more.)
Since New York announced a ban on gatherings over 500 on March 12, Broadway has remained dark, marking the longest hiatus in its history.
JCPenney Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy!
The decades-old retail store #JCPenney has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
On Friday, the well-known clothing store submitted the filing following the massive hit in sales the store has received amid the coronavirus outbreak. Aside from that, the company is also years in debt and is preparing to close a slew of stores in order to fight going bankrupt. USA Today reports at the end of 2019, the company had 845 stores, according to the real estate database CoStar Portfolio Strategy.
It looks like it’s only been a long-time-coming for the retailer. The company has been experiencing low numbers of sales for the past several years without a successful rebranding strategy. In less than nine years, JCPenney has lost $4.45 billion. However, on Friday, the company released a statement about its working with its financial creditors to create a plan that would rebuild the store and get rid of some of the billions of dollars in long-standing debt. It could work, but JCPenney will have to get approval from a judge who could just force the company to shut down completely.
“Implementing this financial restructuring plan through a court-supervised process is the best path to ensure that JCPenney will build on its over 100-year history to serve our customers for decades to come,” CEO Jill Soltau said in a statement. At this time, JCPenney doesn’t want to reveal how many stores are expected to close down. For many of us, J.C. Penny has long been one of our retail go-to’s. Neil Saunders, managing director of Global Retail said J.C. Penny’s most vibrant and successful years were in the ‘80s. “If you go back to the ‘80s, J.C. Penney at that point in time was a family retailer that sold a lot of interesting products from fashion to homewares (and) was a destination for a lot of consumers to go and do their shopping,” said Saunders.
“J.C. Penney has been losing shoppers, it’s been losing market share, and it’s been losing sales over a very long period of time because the products it provides and the way in which it provides them has just become increasingly irrelevant to consumers.
Sixth Trans Woman Murdered in U.S. Within Weeks, Arrested Suspect Says He Was Sent by God to Kill Her!
The alarming number of trans women murdered in the United States this year continues to rise.
20-year-old Helle Jae O’Regan was stabbed to death last week inside a San Antonio, Texas barbershop. O’Regan becomes the sixth trans woman to be killed in just five weeks, and the 11th for the year.
On Wednesday (May 6), O’Regan was working in Diesel Barbershop to prepare for its Friday reopening.
Though the shop was closed, another employee allowed Damion Campbell to enter the shop after he claimed he wanted to schedule an appointment.
Surveillance video shows Campbell, 42, exiting the shop and returning with a gun and knife. He forced the three employees into the back of the shop, claiming that God had sent him to kill them.
He placed O’Regan into a chokehold, causing her to go unconscious and stabbed her to death.
Campbell also stabbed another employee several times. However, she was able to escape with an unharmed co-worker and call for help.
Campbell was arrested on the same day as the stabbing and was charged with murder.
Police do NOT believe Campbell targeted O’Regan because of her gender identity at this time, but the trans woman’s death is counted among the disturbing rise in violence against trans women.
CEO of Diesel Barbershop Shayne Brown wrote on Facebook that Campbell’s attack was not motivated by money.
“Attempts were made to give the man whatever he wanted cash, equipment, or whatever it took to get him out of the shop. The man made it clear that he wasn’t there for money.
“He then began asking the employees: ‘What have you done wrong? What have you done wrong? God sent me here to kill you because you have done something wrong! What have you done wrong?’ over and over again while forcing them to the back of the shop.”
Tori Cooper, a Human Rights Campaign director, said in a statement the recent string of trans women murders across the U.S. and Puerto Rico is “an epidemic of violence that can no longer be ignored.”
“We must all ask ourselves today: ‘What am I doing to ensure a world where a person’s gender identity is not a potential death sentence?'”
In a tweet earlier this week, presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden said “it is our moral obligation” to end violence against the trans community, specifically transgender people of color who are attacked at higher rates.
R. Kelly’s Motion For Early Release Over Coronavirus Concerns Denied, Despite Claiming To Be Prediabetic!
R. Kelly’s request for an early prison for release stating COVID-19 concerns has been denied for the third time, according to Complex. In the most recent motion, Kelly’s lawyer stated that he was prediabetic. Having diabetes would make a person part of the population of people who raise the risk of suffering from COVID-19 complications.
U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly denied the request stating that Robert’s “condition” ain’t gonna cut it! “I do not agree that a diagnosis of prediabetes presents a compelling reason for the defendant’s release. While the CDC has identified diabetes as a risk factor for COVID-19, the same is not true for prediabetes, a condition that affects nearly one in three American adults.” The documents filed by Kelly’s attorney, Steven Greenberg, stated that the singer tested “1/10 of one point below diabetic.”
Judge Donnelly concluded her statement with, “My review of the defendant’s medical records reflect that he is receiving more than adequate care to manage this condition. The health care professionals at the MCC see him regularly and are working with him to implement lifestyle changes so that his condition improves. Those recommendations include diet, weight loss, and exercise.’ Donnelly is the same judge who also denied Kelly’s previous two motions on April 7 and April 21.
Khloe and Tristan Suing Over Secret Baby Claims!
Over the past few weeks rumors have been swirling that Tristan Thompson was hiding a secret child
While Tristan admits taking a DNA test he denies fathering any children and he and Khloe are suing...
From E! News
In a cease and desist letter sent by the former couple's attorney, Marty Singer, on Wednesday, May 13, Kimberly Alexander is asked to "immediately stop defaming them with malicious defamatory lies and specious fabrications" regarding a paternity claim that surfaced online.
In the cease and desist letter obtained by E! News, Singer confirms that Tristan did take a paternity test, which came out negative. Kimberly then requested Tristan take a second test, which Singer says he agreed to take—only on the condition that an AABB-accredited lab perform the test.
Singer writes in the document, "After it was indisputably established by a paternity test performed by one of the most reputable labs that Mr. Thompson is not your child's father, we thought that would be the end of this. Instead, you have continued to spread outrageous lies about my clients, including ridiculous fictional conspiracy theories that you conjured up claiming that my clients supposedly somehow falsified the paternity test results since members of the Kardashian family had previously used the same trustworthy lab."
NFL may use draft picks as incentive to hire minority coaches, GMs!
The proposal would see teams improve their draft position as much as 16 places.
WASHINGTON — The NFL is considering updating its rule to encourage the hiring of minority head coaches and general managers by offering a sweetener: A higher pick in the draft. That's according to sources who spoke to NFL.com and ESPN.
Under the proposal, a team could see its third-round selection move up six spots with the hiring of a minority coach. It could move up 10 spots with the hiring of a minority GM. If a team were to hire both in the same year, then the two would be combined to move up 16 spots. That could allow a team to move that pick from high in the third round to the middle of the second round.
The improved position would come in the draft before the hire's second season. So if the person was hired before the 2021 season, the reward would not occur until the 2022 draft.
In another incentive, if the coach or GM is still with the team after two seasons, then the team will see its fourth-round pick move up five spots in the following draft.
ESPN reports that if a minority candidate leaves one team for a head coach or GM job, their former team will get a third-round compensatory pick. If the candidate leaves to become a coordinator, then the former team gets a fifth-round pick.
There are currently four people of color among the 32 NFL head coaches: the Pittsburgh Steelers' Mike Tomlin, Los Angeles Chargers' Anthony Lynn, Miami Dolphins' Brian Flores and newly hired Ron Rivera, of the Washington Redskins.
NFL.com adds that a team which hires a person of color as its quarterbacks coach would get a compensatory pick at the end of the fourth round. There are two black quarterback coaches in the league.
The proposal is expected to be addressed at next Tuesday's virtual owners meeting. Twenty-four of the 32 owners would need to approve for it to pass.
The NFL's Rooney Rule, enacted in 2003, requires teams to interview at least one minority candidate for vacant head coaching or general manager jobs. But it does not include coordinator-level jobs -- seen as major stepping stones to becoming a head coach. Teams can also conduct interviews as window dressing to fulfill the requirement but have no intention of hiring the candidate from the start.
Another proposal reportedly on the table would remove a team's power to block assistant coaches from interviewing for coordinator positions.
