Normani for Rolling Stone 2020!
Normani’s career post–Fifth Harmony is finally taking off. She’s on covers with Megan Thee Stallion and SZA, on blockbuster soundtracks with Ariana Grande, and she told Rolling Stone she’s planning to release her second single in time for summer. But she still can’t escape the drama. In her cover story for Rolling Stone, Normani addresses the racist bullying she endured from some Fifth Harmony fans and her former bandmate Camila Cabello’s own racist social media posts. Cabello came under fire late last year for old Tumblr posts and tweets that were anti-black or used derogatory language, including the N-word. “I struggled with talking about this because I didn’t want it to be a part of my narrative, but I am a black woman, who is a part of an entire generation that has a similar story,” Normani told Rolling Stone in writing. “I face senseless attacks daily, as does the rest of my community.”
“It would be dishonest if I said that this particular scenario didn’t hurt me,” she continued, speaking of Cabello. “It was devastating that this came from a place that was supposed to be a safe haven and a sisterhood, because I knew that if the tables were turned I would defend each of them in a single heartbeat. It took days for her to acknowledge what I was dealing with online and then years for her to take responsibility for the offensive tweets that recently resurfaced. Whether or not it was her intention, this made me feel like I was second to the relationship that she had with her fans.”
Tweets, Tumblr posts, and old messages of Cabello’s with anti-black language resurfaced online last December. She apologized for using the “horrible and hurtful language” when she was younger, although not expressly for the posts. “I only stand and have ever stood for love and inclusivity, and my heart has never, even then, had any ounce of hate or divisiveness,” she wrote at the time. Previously, Cabello also had to address leaked messages where she and a friend call Normani and the other members of Fifth Harmony the N-word.
“I really hope that an important lesson was learned in this,” Normani said to Rolling Stone. “I hope there is genuine understanding about why this was absolutely unacceptable. I have spoken what is in my heart and pray this is transparent enough that I never have to speak on it again.”

Presidential Candidate Pete Buttigieg Announces His Decision To Suspend Campaign!
Former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg made a big announcement Sunday at the Century Center.
He's suspending his campaign for president. This was his message for supporters.
A journey that put Pete Buttigieg on some of the brightest of stages in American politics over the past year comes to an abrupt end in the same place it began, his hometown of South Bend Indiana.
Even though he says he's bowing out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, he says there's still work to do in fulfilling the parties goal of defeting Donald Trump in November of this year.

He continues to spread his message of empowering eachother through embracing eachothers differences, protecting our environment, and aiding the everyday American in middle of this country who works two jobs just to get by.
He told his supporters that they now have the responsibility of putting the democratic presidential nominee in the white house, even though it won't be former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

"The truth is that the path has narrowed to a close for our candidicy if not for our cause. Another one of those values is responsibility, and we have the responsibility of considering the effect of remaining in this race any further. Our goal has always been to help unify Americans, to defeat Donald Trump, and to win the era for our values," Buttigieg said.

He also took this opportunity to thank everyone who was involved in his campaign from day one, as well as the support he's received from those in South Bend.

#RHOA: Marc Daly Apologizes For Drama Caused By Saying He Hates Marriage, But Not To Kenya!
Marc Daly is feeling a bit embarrassed about the drama that is set to play out on this Sunday’s Real Housewives of Atlanta episode between himself and wife Kenya Moore, so he’s saying sorry — but not to her.
As we previously shared with you, a preview of the episode showed marital confusion between the couple playing out in public. Daly was hosting a charity event for Black Man Lab and Moore was there to support, but a disagreement between them spilled out in front of other cast members and their partners, and he ended up stating that he hated being married.

A while back it was rumored that at that event, Daly called Moore an “attention whore” and told co-star Eva Marcille’s husband Michael Sterling that he was “tired of Kenya’s s–t.” His comments got back to Moore, who allegedly angrily confronted Daly about what he was saying to people, and things got explosive. Their argument ended up happening during the event on September 17. Two days later they both announced they were separating.

Looking back on the drama of that day, Daly is apologetic — that it got in the way of the bigger purpose of the charity event. So he issued an apology to all those who were there for the Black Man’s Lab experience and got distracted by his marital issues with Moore.
“As a person of color, it is of paramount importance for me to showcase the positive aspects of my people, hence the reason for my involvement in the Black Man’s Lab experience. Unfortunately, my genuine attempt at doing something positive was compromised by my personal situation. For that, I sincerely apologize and take sole responsibility,” he wrote on the Instagram for his business Soco, not allowing comments. “I want to thank all those involved with the Black Man’s Lab for their support after the event. I would like to end by saying, I have full admiration for the organization and am always available to engage and contribute to its efforts.”

While he’s saying sorry to those involved in the event, he may need to send an apology over to his wife. After the preview from that day surfaced, Moore took Daly out of her name on Instagram this week, where she had been going as Kenya Moore Daly.

The couple had been, according to Moore, trying to see if they could work things out as of late. They wed in 2017 and welcomed daughter Brooklyn in 2018.

#Empire: Taraji P. Henson Has A New Hair Color!
We know Taraji P. Henson to be a hair chameleon. And after she played Cookie on the hit show Empire, there was no look she could rock that could surprise us. Or so we thought.

On Thursday night the A-list beauty left fans and followers alike gagging over her new crimson-colored do. She posted a photo of her bright red curls on Instagram and was quickly met with endless heart-eye emojis and positive comments about her “red-hawt” look. She captioned the photo “Red Alert,” but she really should have rang the alarm because honestly, we were not ready for it.
We’re not surprised that the actress is taking even more risks with her tresses these days. With a new line of hair care products for all hair types on the shelves at Target, she knows that there’s an arsenal of affordable saviors to restore her hair back to top health if a style, color, or process ever goes wrong. So she’s free to let her hair down in every sense.
We think our queen looks like a great ball of fire, and we want nothing more than to get close to her flame.

MusicNews: Usher Is Previewing a ‘Confessions 3’ Track!
Usher has more confessions. The R&B superstar is teasing the long-awaited third installment in his legendary “Confessions” series. During a performance at “Live from the Cricket Lounge” in Los Angeles on Monday, Usher debuted a new song containing cryptic lyrics.
“Remember that time I was sitting up sick, couldn’t sleep in the middle of the night? / You said, ‘Babe, let me take you to the ER’ / I said, ‘Nah, Ima be alright’ / Well, the next day I found out from fuckin’ around that the sickness I had was life / And I was fixed to keeping the decision to keep it / Knowing I had to get rid of it.”

He added, “You thought what you put on me from Part 2 was the realest shit” before asking the crowd, “You realize what I just told you? You don’t realize it, huh?”
It’s unclear when the full track will arrive. A year ago, Usher hinted at a potential sequel to his 2004 album Confessions as well as a new collaboration with his “Yeah!” collaborators Lil Jon and Ludacris.
In December, Usher dropped “Don’t Waste My Time,” a collaboration with Ella Mai. He is set to headline the Lovers & Friends Festival in May with Lil Jon and Ludacris.

#HipHopNews: Juicy J is Blasting His Label Columbia Records On A Diss Track!
Juicy J won’t stay silent any longer. The Memphis rapper is putting his label Columbia Records on blast with a new diss track. On Friday evening, he threatened to leak his entire album before dropping the scathing song called “Fuk Columbia Records.”
“I gave @ColumbiaRecords 20 + years of my life & they treat me like back wash,” tweeted Juicy.
On the two-and-a-half-minute track, he calls out the label that is home to Beyoncé and Lil Nas X for treating him like a slave. “Fuck Columbia Records, tell them bitches count their days,” he raps. “Since I got all these chains, they must think a ni**a a slave / They don’t want a ni**a to own no masters / They want a ni**a to call them massa.”
He goes on to blast the higher powers at the label. “Soon as my shit start bubbling up, they want all the credit / Record labels can eat a dick, they wanna sit back and get rich / You in a lake house in New Hampshire / What the fuck you know about a hit?”
The cover art features Prince’s face with the word “Slave” written on it, referencing the late icon’s own battle to buy back his masters from Warner Bros. The track ends with Prince’s speech at the Soul Train Awards in 2000, where he spoke about being enslaved by a contract.

Juicy also offered some advice to new artists: “To all new artist do not sign to @ColumbiaRecords the fuckery is real.”

LA Deputies Were Told To Delete Leaked Kobe Bryant’s Crash Site Photos To Avoid Punishment After An Officer Showed Them To A Woman To “Impress Her”!
Earlier this week, reports circulated around an LA cop who allegedly used disturbing leaked photos from Kobe Bryant’s crash site to impress a girl at the bar. It was later reported to the Los Angeles Times that deputies would avoid repercussions if they came clean and deleted the graphic images.

According to TMZ, “an online complaint was filed with the Sheriff’s Department after the bartender listened in on the conversation.” TMZ also reported that the unauthorized photos that were shared were said to have included photos of the victims’ remains.
The Daily Mail wrote, “normally, such a complaint would spark a formal inquiry, and possibly even an internal affairs bureau investigation.” But officials were ordered to delete the images, in an attempt to cover-up the scandal. Two public safety sources revealed that deleting the photos “could have amounted to destruction of evidence.”

In a statement Friday, the Sheriff Alex Villanueva commented, “[We are] deeply disturbed at the thought deputies could allegedly engage in such an insensitive act. A thorough investigation will be conducted by the department, with the number one priority of protecting the dignity and privacy of the victims and their families.”
Sharing unauthorized photos is considered a “cardinal sin in law enforcement,” said Joseph Giacalone, a teacher of police procedures at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York.

It is currently unknown who took the photos and how far they have reached. Police did contact the victims’ families after the newspapers broke the news.

“Making The Band” is back for a reboot! And auditions are going down this weekend.

He let everyone know auditions for the show would be going down in Atlanta this weekend and he's sending his Combs Cartel (his sons Quincy Brown, Justin & Christian Combs) down there to pick out the hottest singers. He's going to be watching and judging from his bed at home as well, so folks better bring their A-game. Peep the clip above.

Sources from production tell TMZ, Diddy tapped Migos rapper Quavo, R&B singer Monica and R&B boy band 112 to serve as advisers for the "MTB" open casting call today held at the Center Stage Theater. And they aren't the only ones. The Hip Hop mogul also scooped up Quality Control Music honchos Pierre "Pee" Thomas and Kevin "Coach K" Lee to help him find the next R&B supergroup.
Contestants will flex their vocals during the casting call today and if they're dope, they'll receive an invitation-only callback that will go down tomorrow. The casting auditions will travel to Charlotte, Houston and NYC. Right now, rapper DaBaby has already committed to help the 50-year-old entertainer choose talent in his hometown of Charlotte, NC. Below are the dates:

March 7th and 8th – Houston
March 13th and 14th – Charlotte
March 21st and 22nd – New York City

The "Making The Band" reboot is set to premiere sometime later this year.

Biden Wins The South Carolina Primary in BIG FASHION!
Joe Biden has run for president three times, and yet until Saturday, he had failed to ever win a primary or caucus.
The 77-year-old former vice president has now notched an expected yet much-needed victory in the South Carolina primary, according to The Associated Press's projection.
"Just days ago, the press and the pundits had declared his candidacy dead. Now, thanks to all of you — the heart of the Democratic Party — we just won and we've won big because of you, and we are very much alive," an energized Biden said at event with supporters in Columbia, S.C.
The crucial win has the potential to resurrect Biden's campaign after a series of poor finishes in the other early voting states (fourth place in Iowa, fifth place in New Hampshire and a distant second in Nevada).

"This result totally resets the race. The fact that Joe Biden won big — and the result was clear early in the evening during prime time in the eastern time zone — provides an enormous boost to his campaign. If Joe Biden can ultimately defeat Bernie Sanders for the Democratic nomination, we will look back on this night as a key moment in American political history," Republican strategist Whit Ayres told NPR.

A majority of Democratic primary voters in South Carolina are African American. And pointing to polls, Biden has long insisted that he has more support from black voters than any other presidential candidate does and that the Democratic nominee will need strong backing from African American voters to win the general election.
Biden's win was not a surprise. For months, polls had shown him with a double-digit lead over his opponents, but in recent weeks, the race tightened. In a sign of how vulnerable he was, Biden campaigned exclusively in South Carolina this week, even as a number of his opponents traveled to states that will vote in coming days.

Biden also received a last-minute public endorsement from the most influential black Democrat in South Carolina politics, U.S. Rep. James Clyburn.
"I've known for a long time who I was going to vote for," Clyburn said at a press conference on Wednesday. "I'm voting for Biden. South Carolinians should be voting for Joe Biden."
Biden made a point to credit the congressman with injecting his campaign with a huge jolt at his post-vote event: "My buddy Jim Clyburn — you brought me back!"
Still, Biden's victory does not put to rest some underlying questions about the health of his campaign and his ability to translate this victory to other states.
Hours before Biden's victory was official, Clyburn was already calling for a "retooling" of his campaign.
In an interview on CNN on Saturday, he said he had earlier avoided publicly analyzing the operation because he had held off officially backing Biden. That's changed. "I'm all-in and I'm not going to sit back idly and watch people mishandle this campaign," Clyburn said.
But as this year's primary season quickly turns into a national fight, with 14 states voting on Tuesday, there are questions about whether Biden has the grassroots energy or the money to compete with the likes of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders or former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg.

Sanders is seen as the front-runner, and he has spent far more energy and resources in the states voting on Super Tuesday.
Bloomberg is spending hundreds of millions of dollars on advertising, while competing for the same moderate voters that might be attracted to Biden's message on gun control and health care.
Minutes after television networks projected Biden as the winner, Terry McAuliffe, the former chair of the Democratic National Committee and former governor of Virginia, endorsed Biden on CNN. McAuliffe said it came down to "an electability issue" for him.

"I think Joe Biden has the best chance of winning Virginia in the general election," McAuliffe said.
Sanders, speaking at a rally in Virginia Beach, Va., congratulated Biden.
"I am very proud that in this campaign so far we have won the popular vote in Iowa, we have won the New Hampshire primary, we have won the Nevada caucus — but you cannot win them all," Sanders said.
Sanders said there will be other contests he doesn't win in the next round of primaries. But he reiterated his argument that the same playbook from the Democratic establishment won't work in November.

"The 'same old, same old' type of politics – that is not going to be the campaign that defeats Trump," Sanders said.
Biden didn't mention Sanders directly Saturday night, but he took a swipe at his status as an independent.
"If the Democrats want a nominee who's a Democrat — a lifelong Democrat, a proud Democrat, an Obama-Biden Democrat — join us," he said to voters in the upcoming primaries.
Pete Buttigieg, former Mayor of South Bend, Ind., who was slated to finish fourth in South Carolina, campaigned in Raleigh, N.C., on Saturday, one of the states holding a primary on Tuesday.

He congratulated Biden on his victory, but looked ahead, saying, "I am proud of the votes we've earned and I'm determined to earn every vote on the road ahead."
Sen. Elizabeth Warren, another candidate who fared poorly in South Carolina, was courting voters in a state with a large prize of delegates on Super Tuesday — Texas.

At her Houston rally she argued she was a better candidate than Sanders, who she said had some good policy ideas, but can't get things done.
She also took aim at Biden, saying about the political moment: "This crisis demands more than a former vice president" who is "eager to cut deals" with Republicans.
McAuliffe urged several Democrats in the race to consider dropping out before Super Tuesday. Tom Steyer, the billionaire entrepreneur who spent over $23 million on advertising in South Carolina, ended his bid after finishing third there.
"I said if I didn't see a path to winning, that I'd suspend my campaign," Steyer told supporters, "and honestly, I can't see a path where I can win the presidency."

Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar was trailing in sixth place on Saturday night.

Lizzo Countersued By Songwriters Over “Truth Hurts,” Writers Claim Their Song “Healthy” Inspired The Singer’s Hit!
#Lizzo has been countersued by the people she filed a lawsuit against over her hit song “Truth Hurts.”
A pair of songwriters, Justin and Jeremiah Raisen, claim the Grammy-winning artist’s hit song is greatly inspired by their song “Healthy,” a track the duo and Lizzo worked on together back in an April 2017 writing session. The drama surrounding the song started last fall when the brothers took to social media with their claims. The Washington Post reports the two argued that their writing session was where many of the song’s most popular lines derived from, including “I just took a DNA test, turns out I’m 100 percent that b—-.”

The story eventually made it to prominent outlets like the New York Times and the Post, which led to Lizzo filing a lawsuit in federal court seeking to finally put a rest to rumors that the Raisen brothers and another songwriter, Justin “Yves” Rothman, have any ownership over the song. The brothers filed the countersuit on Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division. In the document, the brothers state, ‘Truth Hurts’ was ‘derived and copied’ from ‘Healthy.’”

“Lizzo is a talented musician and performer who currently enjoys immense popularity based on a hit song that she did not write alone. The Counterclaims we filed today seek a judgment from the court that the song that is now called ‘Truth Hurts’ originated in Justin Raisen’s home recording studio from a collaboration among our clients, Justin and Jeremiah Raisen and Yves Rothman, along with Lizzo and Jesse Saint John,” said the Raisen’s and Rothman’s lawyer in a statement.
There is some discrepancy over the “DNA test” line, however, Lizzo got the line from a meme. In October, Lizzo addressed the brothers’ claims. “I sang that line in the demo, and I later used the line in Truth Hurts,” she wrote. “The men who now claim a piece of Truth Hurts did not help me write any part of the song. They had nothing to do with the line or how I chose to sing it.”

The brothers are asking that the court dismiss Lizzo’s countersuit “with prejudice and in its entirety.” In addition, the lawsuit requests that the Raisens and Rothman be named “joint authors and co-owners” of “Truth Hurts.” Their other option is that the court “declare that ‘Truth Hurts’ is a derivative work of ‘Healthy,’ and that the three songwriters receive “royalties and profits from the exploitation of ‘Truth Hurts.’

Steven Spielberg's Adult Film Star Daughter Mikaela Arrested For Domestic Violence!
Steven Spielberg's daughter, Mikaela, has been arrested for domestic violence according to a report by Radar Online. She was in Nashville, Tennessee when the police took her in. According to an inmate report from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, the arrest occurred on Saturday morning at 6:33 a.m.

She was booked into Hill Detention Center. The report adds that she wasn't eligible for release as she remains under suspicion for domestic violence. No further details have been revealed. Mikaela is currently engaged to Chuck Pankow.
Spielberg and his wife, Kate Capshaw, adopted Mikaela when she was very young. She recently revealed on Feb.19 that she would be pursuing a career in the adult film industry — a decision that hasn't been well received by her family, especially her father.

Mikaela first made the announcement about her career change to The Sun.
"I got really tired of not being able to capitalize on my body and frankly, I got really tired of being told to hate my body," she said in the interview. "..."I feel like doing this kind of work, I'm able to 'satisfy' other people, but that feels good because it's not in a way that makes me feel violated."
She added that wasn't happy "working day to day" in which she wasn't feeling like she was making any contribution. She did explain that she would not do any sex scenes out of respect for her fiancé. "And the reason I don't want to do anything outside of solo stuff is because I feel like it would be a violation of my boundaries and my relationship with my significant other," she said.

After the news came out, a source to Page Six revealed that her parents aren't exactly on board with it, although in her interview with The Sun, she noted her parents are "intrigued" at her new career path.
“Outwardly, Steven and Kate — who are the most evolved parents in the world and love their kids beyond all measure — have always been supportive of Mikaela and try to understand her,” said the source, who the site claims is a family friend. “Obviously, though, they’re embarrassed by her sudden public admission of entry into the sex worker world.”

The news wasn't the only thing concerning one of Spielberg's children recently. His son, Sawyer, made his debut role in Honeydew. The film is in the horror genre and will premiere at the European Film Market in Berlin, Germany.

Madonna Left In Tears After Nasty On-Stage Fall During Paris Show, Prepares For Show Days Later!
Madonna took a tumble during her Madame X show in Paris Thursday night.
The Queen of Pop was in tears as she was helped up by a backup dancer and then struggled to walk off stage with a cane, The Sun reports.
This comes as the iconic singer, 61, has been struggling with hip and knee injuries for months.
It does appear she’s recovered and is hitting the stage again as she took to Instagram Saturday to advertise her show tonight in Paris.
Madonna’s friend Debi Mazer told PageSix that the singer is “doing really well” despite her injuries.

“She’s strong, and she has her injuries, but she’s really trying to take care of her body.”

Michelle Williams Revealed This About Her Infamous Fall On '106 & Park' To The Laughter of Her Fans!
Destiny’s Child’s Michelle Williams has kept it candid on her Twitter account as of late, joining in on the fun with her followers and sharing more insight on her musical career.

On Thursday (Feb. 27), she shared a fun fact about one of the most memorable moments of the R&B super girl group during their appearance on 106 & Park. As DC fans everywhere will recall, the trio was performing one of their classics, “Soldier,” when Michelle took a tumble onstage during the live show. In 2020, a recent bump to Michelle’s shin conjured up the hilarious stage blooper, as she revealed to the Twitterverse.

“Chile, you ever hit your shin on the base of your bed? That ole sharp corner on my bed....let the devil use em OR was it just me? We blame the devil on EVERYTHING! Sheesh my shin is bleeding y’all!” she shared with her social followers. In a second tweet, she revealed that “every bruise on my lower leg is from when I hit my shin or from when I fell on 106 & Park.”
Though the moment might have been embarrassing for Michelle back then, fans are reminding her that there’s no shame in her battle scars and praised her for bouncing back and keeping the show going. “And yet you still jumped straight back up and carried on like the consummate professional you are. We love Michelle!” one user replied. “Girl you popped back up and fell right into that dip-a-doo step!” another fan said. “Fax!!!” Michelle responded.
Either way, Michelle is unbothered. In a 2014 interview with TIME, the songstress looked back on the moment and shared how she moved on from it.
“That was 10 years ago, I'm over it,” she said. “Really great things have happened since then for me, but because of YouTube and stuff like that, it lives on forever. Regardless of what people think or say about me, I am always blessed. The fact that people sit and search for this stuff, I am on your mind day and night. So I thank you so much for making me relevant every single day... Thank you so much, my accounts are bigger because of you.”

Nonetheless, Michelle Williams is still laughing the moment off with her fans.

First Person Has Died From Coronavirus In The U.S. In Washington State!
Health officials in Washington state said on Saturday a coronavirus patient has died, marking the first death in the U.S. from COVID-19, the illness associated with the virus.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it's responding to "the first possible outbreak" of the respiratory illness in a long-term care center in Washington. The death was not associated with that facility.
Health officials in Washington said 27 patients and 25 staff members at the center have symptoms associated with COVID-19.
The Life Care Center of Kirkland said in a statement that new patients and visitors were being turned away, and patients and staff "with symptoms or who were potentially exposed are quarantined."
The person who died was a man in his 50s with underlying health conditions, and there was no evidence he contracted the virus through travel, health officials said. They suspect domestic "community spread" of the disease, a new phase for the United States that began this week on the West Coast.
U.S. diplomatic officials said a 60-year old U.S. citizen diagnosed with the disease died Feb. 6 at Jinyintian Hospital in Wuhan, China.
The number of Americans who have so far contracted the virus, most overseas, rose to 69 Saturday, according to an NBC News tally.

Shortly after the announcement of the Washington death, President Donald Trump held a White House news conference to announce that the United States is issuing more travel restrictions and warnings to help prevent spread of the virus. He also said he is meeting with pharmaceutical executives to discuss work toward a coronavirus vaccine.
Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, meanwhile, declared a state of emergency in response to new cases of COVID-19, directing state agencies to use all resources necessary to prepare for and respond to the outbreak.

“This will allow us to get the resources we need,” Inslee said. “This is a time to take commonsense, proactive measures to ensure the health and safety of those who live in Washington state."
The outbreak in the U.S. is currently limited to only some communities, the CDC said Saturday. “There is not national spread of COVID-19. CDC and the federal government are working to keep it that way,” said Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of the Center for the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases.
But as federal, state and local officials have widened testing parameters for the virus, some experts say the number of patients is likely to rise.

Frank Riedo, the medical director of infection control at EvergreenHealth hospital in Kirkland, where the death occurred, said Saturday in a news conference, "What we're seeing is the tip of the iceberg."
"There is ongoing transmission," he said.
Dr. Kathy Lofy, Washington state health officer, said the general risk to the public is increasing, and she urged people to practice good health habits.

Health officials said the man who died was among three new presumptive cases in Washington, in which patients have tested positive locally but confirmation is pending with the CDC. The state has a total of six confirmed or presumptive cases of the virus.
Updates from around the world as the outbreak spreads
Though the man was not associated with the long-term care center, he was a patient at the same hospital where others from the facility were being treated Saturday for respiratory symptoms or pneumonia, the CDC said.

He was described by officials as being chronically ill before contracting the virus. They said they did not believe patients at the hospital where he died contracted the virus there and that medical professionals were trying to track down the origin of the presumptive transmissions, which were likely local to King County.

Among those presumed to have the virus at at the long-term care center is a female health care worker in her 40s who was in satisfactory condition and a resident in her 70s in serious condition, health officials said. Neither had any known relevant travel, they said.
Health officials say U.S. coronavirus death was man with underlying issues
FEB. 29, 202002:16
The patient who died was among new cases reported Friday in Washington state, as well as Oregon and California. Among the new confirmed or presumptive cases, three were contracted from an unknown source, bringing the total number of what could be community spread cases in the United States to four.
