Normani for Cosmopolitan - December 2019!
Normani's "Motivation" music video has a '90s reference at just about every turn, but paying homage to the artists who came before her isn't all she hoped to accomplish when she released the visual over the Summer. The Fifth Harmony alum covers the December issue of Cosmopolitan, where she spoke to the magazine about why she's on a mission to make sure all of her work properly reflects who she is as a Black woman.
"I told the director, 'I want this to be as Black as possible.' I was like, let's show Black culture," she said. "Why does pop music have to be so white? Why don't we make it a little bit more me?"
"Those women before me, I wanna finish what they started."
The music video, which dropped back in August, shows a young Normani watching BET's 106 & Park and imagining her own video premiering on the countdown show. It's a representation of how she and plenty of other Black girls spent their childhoods, but it was also her way of showing her appreciation for the successful Black women artists who paved the way for her. "Those women before me, I wanna finish what they started," she said.
Her idea of finishing what they started includes continuing to make space for herself and other Black creators. "I'm gonna make whatever I do Black," she said. "You'll know that I'm a Black girl, even if it's on the quote-unquote whitest record ever."

Shereé Whitfield is showing us the softer of her style and we are absolutely loving it. The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom has been switching up her usual, edgy athletic-style and adding femme touches of tulle, lace, and even more than one bustier in the mix. And it seems as though her new playful look has made its way into her beauty game as well.
On November 22, Shereé gifted us with a sweet shot where her signature dark strands were lightened up with honey-blonde highlights and styled into a youthful high ponytail. The epic pony was full of voluminous curls and hit just below her shoulder. She looked like an adorable ingenue with glowing, bronzed makeup and a sweet, bright pink lip that coordinated with her blush-toned ensemble.
Shereé was pretty in pink with matching nails and some rather sizable gold bamboo hoop earrings. There is something so fresh and fun about Shereé's new look and she explains it in her caption.
"You glow differently when you’re actually happy," she wrote alongside the fresh-faced photo.

#Empire: Empire Recap 11/26/19: Season 6 Episode 8 “Do You Remember Me”
Tuesday on Empire, Lucious and Yana discuss what to place and happened between them. Andre takes a liking to a new talent named Prophetic during a Gun violence fundraiser, but the singer declined to sign to Empire stating he doesn’t want to be controlled. Andre’s dead brother persuades him to continue to try to sign Prophetic using a different approach.
Tracy speaks to the film writer for the Empire movie and asks to see the script, and he gives her an old tape with a song about a robbery that took place long ago.
Cookie goes to talk to Lala’s vocal coach Melody who turns out to be someone she has known in the past when he used to be a man and went by the name Melvin, Melody is now a woman and states she doesn’t want anything to do with the Lyons.
Cookie really wants to work with Melody and tries to get her to work together.
Lucious and Yana continue to rekindle their relationship he takes her to a music store that she used as inspiration for her music. Cookie decided to donate her old clothes in an attempt to let go of the past between her and Lucious.
Cookie attempts to talk to Melody again and apologizes for what happened to her in the past, Melody fears the backlash she would face from people as a performer due to her being a transgender, cookie encourages her to not be afraid because she believes she’s a star.
Andre continues his efforts to sign prophetic. While in a club kissing, the girl prophetic is with named Chasity father comes storming in yelling at him saying she’s only 15 while people record with their phones scared he goes to Andre for help and Andre says he’ll take care of it. Andre has Chasity and her father in his home and is handing them money for the act they played in the club, thanking them for a job well done because Prophetic has signed with him and believes Andre genuinely helped him out of a bad situation not knowing it was all Andres doing and plan.
Lucious and Yana are still in the music shop and while he’s playing the guitar she sings him a song. Shes only giving him one night to prove his case to her, he then takes her to a recording studio and gives her a backstory about how he came to be interested in making music and his dark path, which Yana says he doesn’t need any darkness and Lucios agrees calling Yana his light. Lucious’ time with Yana is up and she leaves thanking him but saying their time is over. As Yana is getting into a cab he chases her to stop saying he needs her in his life.
Tracy listens to the song on the tape and makes a discovery that she wants to share with Lucious but then sees him in the recording studio with Yana and decides against it and walks away. She goes to play the song to Philly street instead and what’s on the song upsets him.
Giselle invests 10,000 in her old college friends Sarah IPO and gets back 100,000 she wants to invest 2 million to get back 10 million but Becky is against it saying it’s a scam. The next day Becky comes in happy thinking they are 10million dollars richer as she sees the stock from Giselle’s friend and Giselle tells Becky she didn’t invest after taking her advice which upsets Becky.
Cookie calls Lucious to come and listen to Melody perform a song, he sits and begins to have a flashback of the interaction between him and then Melvin , Melvin dressed in a dress reveals Melody as a woman to Lucious right before a performance saying this is who he really is and identifies as a woman ,Lucious upset tells Melody that he signed Melvin to a contract not the woman named Melody and threatens to have him pay back the 1.2 million he invested into Melvin they argue and Melody walks off saying she’s done in the flashback, now back to the present as the song is over cookie hands Lucious back his ring and says it should cover the 1.2 million Melody owes, Lucious apologizes for his past action saying it was insensitive and that melody made the right decision to partner with cookie and he placed the ring on the bar and leaves.
Andre surprises Teri and proposes to her and she accepts.

R&B vocal powerhouse Tiffany Evans is back with a new single called “Merry Go Round.”
On the track, which follows last November’s “Switch Up,” Evans details the painful cycle of a relationship that has no future.
“‘Merry Go Round’ is about the cycle we sometimes go through when dealing with an ex or someone we love,” states Evans about the track.

The fifth installment in Tory Lanez’ mixtape series debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 83,000 equivalent album units, of which 9,000 were in album sales. The Toronto native earns his fourth consecutive top five effort following Love Me Now? (No. 4 in 2018), Memories Don’t Die (No. 3, 2018), and I Told You (No. 4, 2016).

Dwyane Wade Defends Wife Gabrielle Union, Says She Was Fired from ‘America’s Got Talent’!
Dwyane Wade took to Twitter on Wednesday to defend wife Gabrielle Union (“Bring It On”) following her departure from “America’s Got Talent,” claiming that she had been fired by NBC.
Variety first reported last week that both Union and Julianne Hough’s contracts had not been renewed by the network. A spokesperson for NBC declined to comment.
“So when I got the news that my wife was being fired – my first question was obviously why!” Wade asked. “I’m still waiting on a good answer to that question. But if anyone knows @itsgabrielleu or have heard of her you know she’s an advocate for our community and culture.”
He added: “‘Men lie, Women lie, numbers don’t’ Over this past year I’ve been approached by many people saying that my wife @itsgabrielleu is the main reason they’ve started watching #AGT or that they love her insight and sincerity on the show.”
“So [champagne emoji] to you @itsgabrielleu on not losing sight of the lessons we’ve talked about teaching our daughter and for kicking ass while you were on that platform. Number 1 judge on one of the biggest shows in the world.”
Sources revealed to Variety that Union had been criticized for her appearance on the show, notably that her rotating hair styles were “too black” for the “AGT” audience.
In April, Jay Leno acted as a guest judge on the variety show. During the taping, the former late night host made an anti-Asian joke that individuals — including Union, who served as a main judge for the 14th season — found offensive. Union encouraged producers to report the joke to human resources, reportedly not the first time she expressed concern of the toxic culture at “AGT.”
According to Vulture, Union was allegedly told that a 10-year-old black rapper, Dylan Gilmer, wasn’t fit for the program because the producers wanted a contestant “America could get behind.” They ultimately chose a group of white high-kicking dancers.
The Vulture report also revealed that Union, who is allergic to cigarette smoke, filed a complaint about Simon Cowell smoking indoors, but was told by an NBC executive that they couldn’t stop him. The “AGT” exec producer and judge has reportedly smoked for years inside the show, which is against the law in California.
Union has yet to comment on the initial report of her exit. Along with Hough, this was Union’s first season on the series, stepping in for former judges Mel B and Heidi Klum. Both Hough and Union will not return for the 15th season.
NBC and Fremantle, the production company behind “AGT,” responded to the allegations in a joint statement:
“‘America’s Got Talent’ has a long history of inclusivity and diversity in both our talent and the acts championed by the show. The judging and host line-up has been regularly refreshed over the years and that is one of the reasons for ‘AGT’’s enduring popularity. NBC and the producers take any issues on set seriously.”
Wade and Union married in 2014 and have been vocal in their social activism, like recently supporting the attendance of their 11-year-old child, Zion, at the Miami Pride parade.
Pussycat Dolls reunion: Nicole Scherzinger says 'stars aligned' to bring band back together!
The Pussycat Dolls are heading out on tour after a ten-year hiatus - and they've already been dusting off their sexy routines.
The band, Nicole Scherzinger, 41, Kimberley Wyatt, 37, Jessica Sutta, 37, and Carmit Bachar, 45, joined Heart's Ashley Roberts, 37, on Thursday's Heart Breakfast to announce their exciting news.
Nicole, 41, said of the reunion: "This is two words ‘May Jer’.
"The stars have aligned and the Dolls are back together and we are here to announce our reunion tour."

Ashley, 38, said: "It's been ten years since we have all been sitting in a room. It’s timing, there’s unfinished business. We are ready. Its been ten years since our last tour."
Speaking to Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden, the US girlband explained that in the last ten years a lot has changed, in the music world, society and in their private lives, too.
Firstly, the some of the girls are mums now, including Kimberley, who gave birth six weeks ago.
She said: "I am so excited to share this with my family. There is nothing more empowering than being a Pussycat Doll on stage and I can’t wait to show my girls."
Nicole added: "We feel different as we are different. We’re women, we’ve all had extraordinary experiences, and lives.
"And we are happier as well, you do evolve and it is about self love, as well."
Ashley added: "A lot of time has passed, we’ve matured we’ve grown up and we are coming together as women with all that extra experience."
The girls added that their tour, scheduled for April next year, will feature "new music and a lot of new surprises", and that fans who have seen them before know they put on a great show - and this will be no different.
Hilariously, the band said that rehearsals felt like "riding an old bike".
Ashley explained: "We get to have the iconic music and the nostalgia, but put a little twist on it.
"In rehearsals we were all standing there and the music came on and we all started doing the movements together."
Jessica said: "The show will be hotter than ever."
Drake And Kylie Jenner Have ‘Mutual’ Feelings For Each Other!
Last month, it was reported that the Toronto rapper has been spending time with the beauty mogul following her split from Travis Scott. According to Us Weekly, they didn’t act on their feelings until recently.
“Drake has always had a thing for Kylie and it’s mutual,” says a source. “They hang out here and there and have been more recently than in the past because Kylie is technically single right now and the two of them live so close to each other.”

The Atlanta-based singer-songwriter—who has been very open about how, as her fame increases, public scrutiny and the added stress of touring has affected her struggles with social anxiety—hopped on Instagram Live Tuesday to address the litany of negative stories that have been surfacing about her.
First and foremost, Summer insists that she takes regular showers … a direct response to folks claiming she doesn’t shower after she posted a photo of her “wash bowl” and made a comment about not liking showers.
Walker clarified that while she prefers baths over showers, she does take showers on a regular basis.
“I wash my motherf**king a**,” Walker said during her IG Live session. “What I said was ‘I don’t like to take showers.’ I still take them daily. I prefer baths but I take them daily.
“A lot of people say they don’t like to work out but they get fat a** to the gym and they still work out. A lot of people say they don’t like to eat healthy, but they still eat their motherf**king vegetables. I don’t like to take showers.”
Walker has also been criticized over how she handles herself at concerts, namely her stage presence and her lack of fan interaction during meet-and-greets.
So when she showed up to a performance in Toronto several hours late, fans assumed this was another one of her quirky antics, and, of course, the fact that she was seen posing for photos with Drake on Instagram prior to the show didn’t help.
However, the songstress said that an issue with Canada’s border patrol is what delayed the show, not her hanging out with Drake.
“Toronto’s borders are out of this f**king world,” Walker said. “They held my motherf**king truck up with all my equipment, my band equipment, that motherf**king thing in the back of me that be spinning.
“They held all that sh*t up at the border for mad long… So bitch how we gonna play a show with no drums, no f**king mics, and no motherf**king guitars. See it’s out of my motherf**king control!”
In regards to her “hanging out” with Drake, Summer said that’s not 100% factual, and she only briefly spoke to Drake and took a couple of pictures with him within a 2-minute timespan.
Summer also said she had no idea her fans were waiting outside for her in the cold for so long, and she showed up and performed when she was told to, adding that when she arrived at the venue, she only had 10 minutes to finish her makeup before hitting the stage.
She said
“I’m being bullied, and I don’t do sh*t to nobody,” she said, adding that how she’s being treated is “literally how people commit suicide” because if a person tells you what’s going on with them and they keep getting bullied, it can be detrimental to their mental health.
The singer said while she hasn’t personally experienced suicidal thoughts because she’s out here living her best life, she did call Wendy Williams out for her recent critiques.
“Like Wendy f**king P. Williams, that bad built bitch,” Walker said. “I don’t even understand how she could ever … looking how she looking. Let me stop, because I didn’t come on here to spread negativity, I just came on here to explain myself.”
Diana Ross ‘Coming Out’ To Dallas For Free World Aids Day Concert!
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Diana Ross is headed to Dallas this month to headline a free World Aids Day Concert at the Bomb Factory.
Host Dascha Polanco, R&B singer KeKe Wyatt and singer, actress Teyana Taylor will also perform.
The November 29 show is one of four free community concerts by AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the largest global AIDS organization to mark World AIDS Day, formally observed each year on December 1st.
In addition to Dallas, AHF will commemorate World AIDS Day with free concerts in Los Angeles (Dec. 1), Atlanta (Dec. 5), and Miami (Dec. 7), as well as nearly 100 commemoration events and observations in many of the 43 countries where AHF provides services.
Staff and volunteers from the organization will set up at the show to offer free HIV testing, interactive sessions to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS, and more.
The Dallas show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Justin Timberlake Reportedly Feels Guilty About Leaked Flirtatious Photos with Co-Star Alisha Wainwright!
Justin Timberlake sent fans into a frenzy over the weekend after photos of he and his 30-year-old co-star Alisha Wainwright hit the web.
The images showed the two in a New Orleans Bar with Wainwright placing her hand on his knee at one point. But since the photos leaked, there have been mixed reactions from sources close to the situation. One individual who was present told E! News that the entire situation was blown out of proportion.
“They were out with all the cast, crew, makeup artists, and everyone was just hanging out in a social setting. They are just working together. No validity to any other rumor other than that they are filming together,” the source said.
However, another source came forward with a slightly different version of events, telling E! News, “They are downplaying everything and trying to laugh it off as nothing. But it was definitely inappropriate and something that would make any wife uncomfortable,” the source claimed. “He had too much to drink and got carried away.”
Insiders close to Timberlake also shared that the 38-year-old does “feel guilty” about the entire ordeal. However, the fact that he did not appear to be wearing his wedding ring during the night in question has raised speculation regarding the status of his seven-year marriage to actress Jessica Biel.
Further adding fuel to the fire was the sighting of both he and Wainwright leaving the same trailer together while on the set of their upcoming drama “Palmer,” just days after the New Orleans incident. While the trailer did appear to simply be a makeup trailer, where the two were likely being prepared to film, it did not help to diffuse the rumors that have been swirling about the two.
Jessica Biel has yet to comment on the rumors. However, she was spotted out in L.A., all smiles and sporting her wedding ring. It appears that all has been forgiven.
Colin Kaepernick Signature Nike Shoe To Be Released in December!
Last year Nike put out a Colin Kaepernick Jersey that quickly sold out, and now they’re releasing his signature shoe.
They’ll be in stores in early December, and the news comes about 14 months after the quarterback signed an endorsement deal with the company.
Kaepernick appeared to wear the sneakers on Saturday, Nov. 16, during his workout in Atlanta while stretching. It was the same day he threw passes for 40 minutes in front of eight NFL teams at Charles Drew High School in Atlanta suburb of Riverdale, Georgia.
Eric Reid, who played with Kaepernick on the San Francisco 49ers, and joined him during his protests, posted a photo of the kicks, along with Kap’s jersey.
The sneakers are black with white trim and they show a drawing of the quarterback’s face and afro on the heel.
“Game day fit 🔥You already know #ImwithKap y’all see the kicks,” Reid captioned the Nov. 17 photo.
When news of Kaepernick’s deal with Nike surfaced, it caused a major controversy and many said they’d no longer support the brand. And that noise grew even louder when Nike released its ad called “Dream Crazy,” which starred the former 49er.
For example, College of the Ozarks, in Point Lookout, Missouri, said its athletic teams would get rid of all their uniforms that bore the Nike swoosh logo because of the ad.
Colin Kaepernick’s signature Nike shoe will be released in early December.
Kaepernick hasn’t played in the NFL since he opted out of his contract after the close of the 2016 season, and many believe he’s been blackballed for protesting systematic racism by kneeling for the national anthem.

Christmas came early for Mariah Carey! The 49-year-old entertainer’s song “All I Want for Christmas is You” just broke three Guinness World Records.
The 1994 Christmas song broke the record for Highest-Charting Holiday (Christmas/New Year) Wont on the US Hot 100 by a Solo Artist, Most Streamed Track on Spotify in 24 Hours (Female), and Most Weeks in the U.K. Singles Top 10 Chart for a Christmas Song.
Mariah was honored by Guinness World Records organization during her Christmas show on Tuesday (November 26) at the Colosseum in Las Vegas.
