On failing to see women and girls who looked like her in the media while growing up has informed the empowering approach that inspires such reverence in Lizzo fans: “I would watch things on television and I would look at magazines and I would not see myself,” she says. “When you don’t see yourself, you start to think something’s wrong with you. Then you want to look like those things and when you realize it’s a physical impossibility, you start to think, ‘What the fuck is wrong with me?’ I think that took a greater toll on me, psychologically, growing up than what anyone could have said to me.”

#RHOA: Kandi Burruss' Son Ace Tucker Is Getting an Upgrade to His Bedroom!
Kandi Burruss has been making some special upgrades to her home lately, some in anticipation of her third child, arriving soon via surrogate, and others just as little pick-me-ups for the whole family. For example, The Real Housewives of Atlanta mother and Grammy winner gave her already-enviable master bathroom a fabulous, glittery makeover for her and her husband, Todd Tucker, to enjoy.
She also surprised her son Ace Tucker with some new bunk beds for his room so he can have a friend over for slumber parties. Kandi and Todd made Ace close his eyes while Todd carried him into his room to see his new beds, which are outfitted with Hot Wheels and action hero bedsheets and accessorized with an array of stuffed animals, including plush versions of Pokemon and Sonic the Hedgehog.
"My baby was so excited about his bunk beds! It’s the little things that bring so much joy," Kandi wrote in an Instagram post sharing the video of the sweet reveal. She added lots of heart emojis to represent how full this made her heart.
"You're not scared?" Todd asked Ace after he climbed up to claim the top bunk.
Ace shook his head no; not scared at all.
"I almost can reach the ceiling!" he exclaimed.

#Empire: Cookie's Sisters Drag Lucious in This Sneak Peek!
After airing out Lucious' (Terrence Howard) dirty laundry, both figuratively and literally — remember when she confirmed his drug-dealing past and dumped his used underwear all over that conference table? — Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) will seek out solace from all the drama with a relaxing girls weekend trip in this week's Empire. In an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming episode, the Lyon family matriarch hits up a spa in Miami to gab with her sisters her about her romantic woes.
"Me and that man haven't two-stepped to the same beat in a minute," Cookie laments in the clip. "Anyway, he won't forgive me so..."
Cookie's sister Candace (Vivica A. Fox) is quick to point out the hypocrisy of her current situation given the many times she has forgiven Lucious for far worse offenses. "Shouldn't he be seeking forgiveness for what he put you through?" Candace asks. I mean, she has a point.
In fact, Candace makes several good points, like urging Cookie to take a break and "get out of that vicious cycle with Lucious." But leave it to her other sister, Carol (Tasha Smith), to provide a counterpoint while digging to the heart of Cookie's conflict with Lucious.
"Sis, the cycle is called marriage, and it wouldn't be so vicious if she would just admit she wants Lucious back. You know the man loves her dirty drawers no matter how much he acts out," Carol adds.

The episode, titled "Stronger Than My Rival," will see Cookie go head to head with Lucious for control of the house, which probably won't end peacefully. Although the couple are at odds, Taraji P. Henson told TV Guide that "there's still love there, [but] the issue is very complicated."

President Trump is reportedly already in talks with Apprentice producer Mark Burnett to develop a post-presidency version of the show, but he’s not waiting until he leaves the White House to indulge his inner (outer) reality show host.
On Friday, Trump tweeted plans to announce winners of the #MAGACHALLENGE — a social media trend in which pro-Trump rappers film themselves spitting their affection for the president — and invite them to the White House to perform, effectively opening a fresh portal to hell by promoting what is soon to become one of the most cursed hashtags in Twitter’s history to his 66.6 million followers.
The #MAGACHALLENGE began with the September 14th tweet Trump quoted in his announcement, in which amateur rapper and noted Trump fan Bryson Gray calls for the president’s supporters to rhyme over his beat and “make liberals cry.” The hashtag blew up, with countless fans awkwardly rapping about their allegiance to Trump and hatred of liberals and the media. “I think the MAGA challenge is doing what everybody expected Kanye West to do for the [Trump] campaign,” Gray told the Daily Dot last month, adding that it is “easing the tensions in the culture and helping get the word out about Trump,” while proving “not all Trump voters and GOP are stick ups.”
Even Isaiah Washington, the former Grey’s Anatomy actor who was fired for assaulting a coworker and using a homophobic slur, chimed in with what under an extremely loose definition of the term could be called “bars.”

The Hollywood Barham Fire 15% Contained, Fire Crews Stop Its Forward Progress!
HOLLYWOOD HILLS (CBSLA) — LAFD deployed 236 firefighters, including 5 helicopters, two fixed wing aircraft and four handcrews, as it continues to battle an active fire that has consumed 34 acres of vegetation near the 3000 block of North Barham Boulevard in Hollywood Hills.
The still active wildfire’s forward progress has been stopped and was 15% contained as of Saturday evening.
Wind is not a factor in the blaze, and there have been no civilian injuries, according to LAFD. One firefighter did sustain a non-life threatening injury during the firefight and was taken to an area hospital.
No structures have been damaged or imminently threatened.No structures have been damaged and none are presently threatened. Fire cause remains under active investigation.
Arson investigators are working on determining the cause of the fire. LAFD Assistant Chief John Drake said that preliminary indications are that there were no homeless encampments in or around the fire’s point of origin.
While there are no formal evacuation orders, a handful of persons living closest to the fire, and being affected by smoke only, were directly contacted and encouraged to shelter in place at their residence.
The LAFD says its goal for this fire includes keeping flames west of Forest Lawn Cemetery, east of Coyote Canyon Drive, south of Forest Lawn Drive and north of Wonder View Drive.
Police are warning the public to stay out of the area and to not fly drones there. They also ask that people “listen to authorities should evacuations be necessary.”
Alexis Crawford’s Cause of Death Revealed As Her Roommate & Roommate’s Boyfriend Are Arrested for Her Murder!
The cause of death has been revealed in the case of missing Clark Atlanta University student Alexis Crawford, and two suspects—Crawford’s roommate and her roommate’s boyfriend—have been arrested and charged with her murder.
Atlanta police confirmed Friday (Nov. 8) that Crawford’s body had been found, ending a weeklong search for the 21-year-old that drew national media attention.
Police said Crawford’s cause of death was asphyxiation, meaning she was likely killed by strangulation.
Alexis Crawford was last seen alive the night of October 30th when she disappeared from her campus apartment.
Her family reported her missing on November 1st. 21-year-old Barron Brantley was arrested Friday night for his alleged role in Crawford’s murder, while his girlfriend, Crawford’s roommate, Jordyn Jones, also 21, was taken into police custody Saturday afternoon and charged with malice murder.
Authorities said it was Jones who led them to her roommate’s body, which was located in a suburban Atlanta park in Dekalb County.
While a motive for Crawford’s murder hasn’t been established, Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields said just three days before Crawford went missing, she’d filed a report against Brantley for sexual assault, alleging that he touched her inappropriately and kissed her without her consent.
The alleged incident happened on October 26th inside Crawford and Jones’ off-campus apartment, and Jones was listed in the police report as a key witness.
Alexis told police that the three of them were drinking when Barron started to make sexual advances towards her.
According to the incident report: “The victim stated that the suspect rubbed his hand on her shoulder and kissed her on the neck. The victim stated that she asked the suspect what was he doing and he stated he thought she was Ms. Jones.”
Alexis claimed Barron then followed her into her bedroom, and, in an effort to get away from him, she went into her bathroom and closed the door behind her.
The report states Jordyn went looking for Barron and eventually found him in Alexis’ room with his shirt off.
Barron denied having sex with Alexis to Jordyn, who then went into Alexis’ bathroom to find her disrobed and passed out.
Crawford told police she didn’t remember Brantley being in the bathroom with her before she blacked out.
By the time police arrived at the home on the night of the incident, Barron had already left in Jordyn’s car. Alexis did a rape kid at Grady hospital following the incident, police said.
According to police, Jones was the last person to report seeing Crawford alive.
Jones told authorities she took her roommate—who was, as a result of the alleged sexual assault incident, sleeping in the living room after no longer feeling comfortable in her own bed—to a liquor store the night she went missing (Oct. 30) around 11:30 p.m.
Jones said when they returned home, her last interaction with Alexis was in their apartment around 12:30 a.m. before she went to bed.
When Jones left for class the next morning, she said Crawford wasn’t at their apartment.
Jones said Crawford’s cellphone, ID and debit card were all missing, however, police said a cellphone charger and Crawford’s key to the apartment had been left behind.
Alexis’ mother, Tammy Crawford, told police the last time she spoke to her daughter was October 30th and she “seemed to be in good spirits and was laughing” throughout the conversation.
Alexis’ sister, Monica Wright, said the family all communicated with her that afternoon just before 3:30 p.m. on FaceTime when Alexis asked her to send her some money on Cash App.
Another sister, Alexandria Crawford, said she texted Alexis at around 8:45 p.m. and asked what her plans were for the weekend. Alexis responded “nothing” and didn’t respond further.
Alexis is also said to have posted on Instagram around 9:03 p.m. and she also responded to an IG group message with laughing emojis at around 9:24 p.m. After not hearing from her for two days, Alexis’ family reported her missing.
Barron Brantley and Jordyn Jones are being held in the Fulton County Jail without bond.
Brantley’s criminal record includes past charges for hindering a person from making an emergency phone call and probation violations for previous charges of theft by taking, battery, family violence and cruelty to children in the third degree.
Clark Atlanta University President George French Jr. said in a statement Friday that investigators consider Crawford’s death an “isolated, off-campus incident” and “there was never a threat to any other members of the community.”
He added: “Tonight, we mourn together.”

Kanye West Says He Might Change His Name To Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West For A Year!
Kanye West is willing to go to big lengths to prove his point. The next example of that might involve Kanye creating a new, fantastical legal name for himself.
Speaking at the Fast Company Innovation Festival on Thursday (Nov. 7), Kanye reaffirmed his wish to run for U.S. President in 2024, and while doing so, he spoke on the perceived stigma attached to billionaires and his potential method for owning that label.
"When people say it's crass to call yourself a billionaire, I say I might legally change my name to Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West for a year until y'all understand exactly what it is… It will be on the license plate," Kanye said.
Just before announcing the potential name change, Kanye explained the idea that the powers that be don't want Black people to embrace economic empowerment
"When I did Forbes, I showed them a $890 million receipt and they still didn't say 'billionaire," Kanye said. "They don't want us to know that we can buy land; they don't want us to have the 100 percent ownership [that] I have at Yeezy."
Elsewhere in the interview, Kanye said that he was going to run for U.S. President in 2024.

Madonna Sued For Starting Her Shows Too Late!
Madonna is pissing off fans after pushing back the start times for her Madame X Tour ... and now she's getting hit with a class-action lawsuit.
According to legal docs obtained by TMZ ... Madonna and Live Nation are being sued by a ticket holder in Florida who claims he lost a bunch of money after they moved the start of concerts from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
In the docs, Nate Hollander claims way back in August he purchased tickets to Madonna's December 17 concert in Miami Beach, and it was originally slated to begin at 8:30 PM.
According to the suit ... Madonna has not been punctual on tour, often taking stage two hours later than scheduled, and she recently switched her start times to 10:30 PM, which Nate claims is ridiculous for the Tuesday evening show he was planning to attend.
The guy suing Madonna claims his tickets much less valuable now that the concert is starting 2 hours later than initially planned, and he claims he's been denied a refund on the $1,024.95 he forked over for 3 tix. Now, he's gathering up a class of other angry fans and going after Madonna for damages.

OJ Simpson sues Las Vegas casino, claims he was defamed!
LAS VEGAS — O.J. Simpson is suing a Las Vegas hotel-casino that banned him in November 2017, alleging that unnamed employees defamed him by telling a celebrity news site he had been drunk, disruptive and unruly.
Simpson, on parole in Nevada for a 2008 conviction for armed robbery and assault with a weapon, filed the lawsuit Thursday against Nevada Property 1 LLC, corporate owner of the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
The complaint acknowledges that Simpson, after several hours with two friends at a steakhouse and a lounge in November 2017, received a notice from a security guard as they left. It prohibited him from returning to the Las Vegas Strip property. He says he was never given a reason.
Cosmopolitan spokeswoman Rachel Henry declined comment.
Simpson denied in the lawsuit that he was “belligerent,” broke glass or damaged property.
Simpson attorney Malcolm LaVergne said his client’s reputation was damaged by “hotel staff” accounts cited in a TMZ report that Simpson “was drunk and became disruptive” at the resort’s Clique bar.
TMZ is not a defendant in the lawsuit. Simpson had been released on parole less than six weeks before the incident, and LaVergne said Friday his client was stung by criticism on he received on social media. The attorney said Simpson did not have a Twitter account in 2017.
“Now we’ve got Twitter. We’ve got a lawsuit. We’ll see how things play out,” LaVergne said.
Simpson opened a Twitter account last June with an initial video post saying, “I got a little gettin’ even to do.” Most posts since have been about football.
The defamation complaint said a parole officer arrived unannounced at Simpson’s Las Vegas home following news reports of the Cosmopolitan incident and administered drug and alcohol tests.
Parole officials found that Simpson had not violated probation “and ultimately determined that the Cosmopolitan’s assertions against Simpson were false,” the complaint said.
Nevada Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Kim Yoko Smith did not immediately respond to requests for comment about the parole finding.
Simpson has been living in a gated golf course community after being freed from prison. He was convicted in October 2008 of leading five men, including two with guns, in an ill-fated bid to retrieve personal items and memorabilia from two collectibles dealers and a go-between at a Las Vegas casino-hotel.
Simpson claims in the complaint he is a “model” parolee and points to “an extremely warm and positive reception by many” who pose with him for photos.

Weinstein, 67, gawked at Vino and singer Helga Rose as the women, accompanied by a small brass band, performed “Billie Jean” and “These Boots are Made for Walkin’ ” into the early hours.
On Friday, Vino and Weinstein denied being romantically involved, with Vino telling The Post she met him just three months ago and they were only friends.
The Middletown, NJ, native, who now lives in California, most recently had a bit part in the 2018 Mark Wahlberg film “Mile 22.”
Weinstein also denied they were together — and even insisted that she was even not on his lap the night before but was only sitting on the arm of his chair.
“She is not canoodling me!” he told The Post.
Socialista was once located on West Street and is the same lounge where Weinstein allegedly masturbated in front of a woman more than a decade ago. It closed and has now reopened three nights a week at Cipriani.
Despite the serious nature of the allegations against him, Weinstein was treated like royalty at the club on Thursday night — with several patrons approaching him to offer compliments.

As for Vino — who sources said met the fallen producer through Rose — a source close to Weinstein told The Post that the two dated for several weeks in 2018, despite their denials that they were ever an item.
Weinstein’s most recent appearance comes just weeks after an actress who spotted him at a party in Alphabet City ripped into him.
“I’m going to stand four feet from a f–king rapist? And nobody’s going to say anything?” actress Zoe Stuckless shouted at Downtime Bar when she saw the shamed mogul.
Weinstein is set to stand trial in Manhattan Supreme Court in January on charges he sexually assaulted two women in 2006 and 2013 and could face life in prison.
Mother Who Recorded Hitting Son With Belt At School Is Under Investigation, Five Children Now In CPS Custody!
A mother of a seven-year-old boy went viral this week after she was seen entering Homer Drive Elementary School’s cafeteria and dragging her son outside by his shirt.
The unnamed woman then screamed obscenities at the child, forcing him to apologize to an adult, presumably the child’s teacher who expressed to have had behaviors problems with the child. The woman began spanking the child several times with what appeared to be a belt and threatening to “break your f**king face,” as someone records the incident.
Now, an associate judge has signed the order allowing the removal of the child in the video, as well as his four siblings, ranging from age 1 to 12, after CPS viewed the viral video. The chief prosecutor in the family law division of the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office, Randi A. King, said a hearing in one of the two family law courts will take place either November 19 or November 21 for further disposition. CPS spokeswoman, Shari Pulliam, confirmed the removal of the children for safety. Two were reportedly at school when the removal took place.
During the incident, no one intervened while the child was being physically and verbally abused, and Beaumont ISD spokeswoman Hannah LeTulle said in an emailed statement Thursday, “We are in the process of evaluating this incident to determine the next steps in consequences for the behaviors exhibited. We cannot provide personnel information due to the fact that this is an ongoing investigation.”
Homer Drive Elementary principal Dr. Belinda Richardson-George posted on Facebook Wednesday night, “We do not condone this type of behavior from our parents, teachers, and/or scholars. This matter is under investigation.” The state will hold a hearing in two weeks to decide whether the mother should regain custody of her children.
According to 12 News Now, a status hearing will be held to allow the children’s parents a chance to make their case in court, if the children are removed.
Christopher John Rogers Wins the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund!
There were no pot pies. Of all the surprises at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund awards ceremony last night, that was the greatest. Every year, the prize dinner — where a cash award (this year, $400,000) is presented to a designer selected by a committee that includes Vogue editors, Council of Fashion Designers of America representatives, and a smattering of designers and industry stalwarts — serves forth Anna Wintour’s favorite dish. How many starlets, Vogue-anointed, have picked at how many ramekins of creamed chicken and pastry? The fund has been going since the early aughts. But this year’s, attended by Gigi and Bella, Lil Nas X, a very pregnant Ashley Graham, and dozens of American fashion designers, was held at the new Cipriani, in the shadow of the Staten Island Ferry terminal. Pot pie is American cooking for American designers, but Cipriani is Cipriani. Allora, pasta!
To the point: Christopher John Rogers, the Brooklyn-based designer whose clothes have been worn by Michelle Obama, Cardi B, and Lizzo, took the prize. Rogers’s designs, which do not stint on color or volume for drama, lean toward evening wear. His shows have been gaining momentum the last few seasons of New York Fashion Week, though his operation seems still to be in its fledgling days. (In September, a Vogue runway reviewer noted that he still worked out of his living room.) As he ascended to the stage, in red coat, top, and trousers, his head emerging from a round of red feathers, with red sunglasses perched on top, he looked every bit the rare bird. “Thank you for trusting this, and me,” he said from the stage, “and allowing me to take the next step.”
Two runners-up, the bridal designer Danielle Hirsch (of Danielle Frankel) and Reese Cooper, each won $150,000 prizes. “Wow, I did not expect this,” Cooper said. “I’ve said the whole time I thought we got in here sneaking in the back door and I guess it paid off.”
The challenge of prizes like the Fund is that money, even in hundred-thousand-dollar increments, goes vanishingly quick. Dinner was attended by more than one designer whose labels had been recognized by the prize over the course of its history, but eventually went out of business. The spotlight shines brightly for a night, but there’s always a new crew next year. It has been going on long enough that it is perpetuating itself: Hirsch was not the only designer to mention that she had watched the Fund’s former TV show at school, at Parsons. “We used to huddle around the computer,” she said.
For all the Instagram-bait of the ten-finalist fashion show after dinner — which included dance numbers, Stomp-ish trash-can drumming, and a live snake — and the cheers that followed Rogers’s ultimate win, the Fund celebrates the kingmakers as much as the kings (and queens) made. “But enough about you.
