Here’s what the 33-year-old entertainer had to say in conversation with hip-hop legend Trina:
On creating: “I feel my most sure and beautiful when I am creating the work. When I am thick in the midst of my own guidance…when I am creating I am using and speaking from other parts of myself. My gut, my legs, my heart, my fingers, my throat. That feels like the best me.”
On her album, When I Get Home: “I wanted to create a bit more of a world with When I Get Home. A mecca that spoke to an environment and an expression. A place that you could go sonically and visually and digitally and feel immersed in as a project about what exactly the process of home is and the feelings behind it…This album was purely about feeling.”
On collaborating: “I find out things about myself that I can’t necessarily speak to when I am collaborating. There are so many facets of who I am, and that articulation just feels so much wider and more expansive when someone helps bring something out of you that you wouldn’t normally express…it can be the most rewarding feeling ever. More importantly, I learn so damn much.”

#RHOA: Eva Marcille Shares First Photos of Baby Maverick!
Mini peach! Eva Marcille shared the first photos of her newborn son, Maverick, exclusively with The Folks over at Us Weekly.
“Just like his name implies, Maverick did things his way. He came a few weeks early,” the 34-year-old Real Housewives of Atlanta star told Us. “I started getting contractions three days before he decided to actually arrive, so we checked into the hospital just to be prepared. All I ever ask for is a healthy baby and God answered my prayers, so everything went smooth.”
Marcille and her husband, Michael Sterling, welcomed their second child together on September 27. The couple are also parents of 17-month-old son Michael Todd Sterling Jr. The reality TV personality has a daughter named Marley, 5, from a previous relationship.
According to Marcille, Marley and Michael Jr. are “obsessed” with their new baby brother.
“They can’t get enough of him. Marley is the best big sister and she loves being the oldest,” the Bravo star explained. “She’s helping me with both of her brothers, keeping Mikey busy when I have to feed Maverick and is just the sweetest girl I could ask for.”
The America’s Next Top Model alum and Sterling tied the knot in October 2018.
“I’m pretty open about how amazing my husband is. I couldn’t ask for better,” Marcille gushed to Us. “The day after Maverick was born, there was a party to announce [my CBD line] cEVAdOpens a New Window.. It had been planned for months and there was just no way I could go hours after I had given birth. Not only did Michael go, take Michael Jr., with him but he made a speech on my behalf to a room filled with 300 people. After holding my hand through childbirth and being in the hospital with me for days. He is literally the best and I love him to pieces.”
Fans will see Marcille’s pregnancy journey on season 12 of RHOA, which premieres on Bravo Sunday, November 3, at 8 p.m. ET.
“Even though he’s only a few days old, I can tell he’s definitely going to beat to his own drum and do things his way, on his time,” Marcille told Us about her son. “He might get that from his mama. Being a mother is so incredible and now that I have three, it’s so amazing to see how unique and different they each are, even from those first few moments. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
Marcille told Us that this pregnancy was “a bit tougher” on her body.
“There was no slowing down either. We started shooting this season of Real Housewives of Atlanta when I was six months pregnant,” the reality star told Us. “What was great about it, though, is we were working on the CBD line and it really pushed us towards focusing on the non-THC version of the tincture (oil) first, which is safe for an expectant mother. Every bit of the brand is really true to who I am and that included my pregnancy.”
Marcille concluded that she doesn’t need a push present from her husband because they are so “blessed.”
“We’re about to move into a new house. That combined with our beautiful, healthy baby, my gorgeous children, the launch of my CBD brand, the return of Real Housewives – I understand how blessed I am,” she said. “I just want to be with my family and soak up every moment of this beautiful life.”
#Empire Reveals The Dangerous Aftermath Of Cookie Cliffhanger In New Episode!
Parroting back her "You owe me, bitch!" line from the end of the Season 6 premiere, Damon pulled a gun on Cookie after surprising her in her bedroom. Clearly unhinged after being robbed and tricked by various members of the Lyon family, Damon has power over Cookie in a very dangerous situation. The good news is that photos from next week's episode reveal the aftermath of Damon's attack; the bad news is that Cookie is in for a rough ride.
"Got on my Knees to Pray" ended with Damon pulling the gun on Cookie, who was wearing a robe, in her bedroom. The photos prove that Damon let her get dressed before proceeding with whatever he has planned for her. At least one step of that plan apparently involves restraining her with her hands behind a chair.
Damon is far from calm even after he has Cookie immobilized, as is evident in the next photo:
It's not clear from this second image if Damon Cross is actually throwing the chair at somebody or just destroying the kitchen in a fit of anger, but I'm inclined to think he's just in the mood to make a mess and menace Cookie. For her part, she doesn't look like she's actually been restrained, although that may just be this photo rather than in the actual episode.
If Cookie isn't totally restrained in the episode, then this might be a good time for her to try and make a move on Damon. He placed the gun on the table to pick up the chair. Should Cookie grab for the gun, or make a break for it?
Well, it looks like she is going to try to escape at some point, and it doesn't go well for her:
Whatever happens, Cookie looks like she's going down, and Damon has the gun in hand. If this was happening last season, I would think there was no way that he would shoot her. Considering everything that has already happened in just two episodes of Season 6, I 100% can believe it.
It looks like Damon Cross did indeed shoot Cookie, as she's sporting a bloodied leg in the photo that has Damon leading her around outside. He doesn't seem to have done the greatest job of bandaging her leg, or going out of his way to conceal that he''s dragging an injured woman around. Is this because Damon isn't expecting to be within sight for very long, or is he unhinged by everything that went down to the point that he doesn't care?
Cookie and Lucious (who may be dead by the end of the season) may not have been on the best of terms in the first two episodes, but they do have a common enemy in Damon Cross, and they have always seemingly loved each other. Not necessarily a healthy love anybody should encourage, but love! Lucious lost his disguise and donned a snazzy suit for this scene, and he seems to be toting a laptop.
Only time will tell what exactly goes down in the next Empire episode, called "You Broke Love." Be sure to tune in to Fox to catch it on Tuesday, October 8 at 9 p.m. ET.
#MusicNews: Avery*Sunshine Announces 2019 World Tour!
Avery*Sunshine is ready to shine on the road this fall. The talented vocalist has announced dates for an extensive world tour that will begin on September 28 in Missouri City, Texas.
Sunshine will make stops in other major U.S. cities, including Baltimore, New York, and Cleveland, before wrapping the first set of North American concerts on October 27 in Philadelphia.
On November 1, she will pick up the tour overseas at BIZZ’ART in Paris, playing other abroad gigs until the final show at Paradox Tilburg on November 16 in Tilburg, Netherlands.
Sunshine will touch back down in the states on November 20 in Oakland, California, and perform until January 1, 2020, in Chicago. Tickets for the tour are available on her official website.
Back in April 2018, Sunshine released a four-track EP that were outtakes from her Twenty Sixty Four album sessions. The latter album, which was released a year prior, include the lead single “Come Do Nothing.
#NewHipHop: Gang Starr And J. Cole Pay Tribute To Mc Guru In ‘Family And Loyalty’ Video!
After dropping their first new music in 16 years last month, Gang Starr delivers a video for the J. Cole-assisted “Family and Loyalty.” Directed by Fab 5 Freddy, the nostalgic clip celebrates the life of the late MC Guru, who died in 2010.
It opens with a reading of Guru’s last will and testament. DJ Premier and Guru’s 19-year-old son Keith Casim sit at a conference table, while Cole joins in via video conference. The executor reads the will and announces that the most important aspect is the distribution of raw uncut diamonds given to Guru by an African chief. He then plays a cassette tape, which contains “Family and Loyalty.
“Diamonds are forever like family and royalty / Or real rap songs like ‘C.R.E.A.M.’ or ‘My Melody,'” raps Guru alongside throwback videos and photos of him and his family.
Cole delivers his verse in a gym, while Premier carries out Guru’s mission of handing out the diamonds throughout his ‘hood. “A bittersweet moment releasing this record w/out Guru here but I know he’s looking down on this video with a smile,” tweeted Premier.

Singer Erica Campbell is now solo after her fame with Mary Mary, and she's on the promo trail for her new book and new reality show. She visited "The Tamron Hall Show" yesterday to talk about all of that, plus her husband's infidelity and their journey to reconciliation
Erica said she suspected Warryn was cheating, and he then confessed saying he was unfaithful years back. He thought if he just moved forward, he would get past it. But he couldn't find peace. She said she remembered her commitment and vows she made in front of God:
I asked myself "is he a mistake or did he make a mistake? And I believe he’s a good man that made a mistake. And there's a difference.”
She said "it got dark for a bit" because she was done and ready to leave since she had her own money. They went to therapy, with their Bishop and other married couples, and realized he was irresponsible and selfish but she was "consumed with her work." He told her he wanted her to be home with him more, and she responded saying she had to work and a tour to complete. Erica revealed:
"It would have been different if we were fine and vacationing and having great sex and all this stuff. But I know for sure that we were detached. We were both in work mode. But work mode, he still needed me, and I wasn't available. He said I could have gotten on a plane, I could have come to you, and said I need you because I'm struggling."
She says now they're in "an amazing place."
They also chatted about her new book More Than Pretty, her reality show “We’re the Campbells” on TVOne, Erica's transition from Mary Mary to becoming a solo artist, and her daughter’s struggle with her weight and her overall self-image.
Stacey Dash Is Not 'White,' Cops Entered Race By Mistake!
Stacey Dash was never asked about her race when she was arrested for domestic violence, even though her booking sheet clearly stated she was a White woman.
The Community Relations Director for the Pasco County Sheriff's Office tells The Blast, that according to the Department of Justice, the only available races available in the report for someone being placed under arrest are: "Asian/Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, Black/African American, American Indian/Alaskan Native, Unknown, or White."
We're told, "Stacey Dash was never asked her race by the arresting deputy, nor did she volunteer any information about her race."
The arresting deputy, "assumed that she was Hispanic."
Pasco County says it's impossible to log information that is outside of the already established racial categories, "which is why her race was erroneously entered as white."
Dash, who was born in The Bronx, is Bajan, African American and Mexican descent.
Her mother is Mexican-American and her father is African American.
Along with her race, the "Clueless" star's name was also incorrectly, with her middle name of Lauretta listed as her last name.

Nia Long To Produce & Star Alongside Omar Epps And Stephen Bishop In Netflix Film ‘Fatal Affair’!
Nia Long, known for her roles in movies including Boyz n the Hood, Love Jones, Soul Food and The Best Man, has set her first producing project with Netflix. Long will produce and star in Fatal Affair, with Omar Epps (House, Shooter) and Stephen Bishop (Moneyball) co-starring.
Peter Sullivan is directing the feature from a script he co-wrote with Rasheeda Garner. The plot follows a woman who tries to mend her marriage after a brief encounter with an old friend, only to find that he is more dangerous and unstable than she’d realized.
Barry Barnholtz, Brian Nolan and Jeffrey Schenck will produce alongside Long. Filming is slated to begin this month in Los Angeles.
Long most recently appeared on the big screen in 47 Meters Down: Uncaged and next co-stars in The Banker, opposite Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Mackie and Nicholas Hoult, as well as Life in a Year, the Sony drama starring Cara Delevingne and Jaden Smith.
Epps, who co-starred alongside Long in the 1999 crime thriller In Too Deep, currently recurs on This Is Us, while Bishop starred in the short-lived Bravo series Imposters.
Long is repped by Untitled Entertainment; Epps by Anonymous Content and CAA; and Bishop by Greene & Associates Talent Agency and Margie Weiner Management.
Kylie Jenner Reunites With Tyga During Girls' Night Out Amid Travis Scott Break!
But as salacious as this might sound, the truth is far from it. A source tells E! News that the former couple met up late Tuesday night, after Kylie and her friends, Stassie and Kelsey, enjoyed a late night bite at the Hollywood hot spot Delilah. "Kylie wanted to have a girls' night out last night and Stassie thought it would be best to get her out of the house and her mind off the news," a source explains. "He was with a few of their mutual friends at Sunset Marquis and invited Kylie and her girlfriends to come hangout, since they were already out."
The insider does add that Kylie and Tyga "have been in touch" since their split in 2017, but says they "don't talk often."
Moreover, the source explains that this wasn't a slight towards Travis, who she parents daughter Stormi Webster with, nor does it mean that their breakup is permanent. The insider says, "It wasn't an intentional jab at Travis, but she did hangout with Tyga for a bit. Nothing romantic is going on."
This may sound like too much of a coincidence with the timing and all, but as the insider points out, Hollywood is a small town and Kylie's inner "circle is small and her girlfriends know a few of Tyga's friends as well."
Aside from the rendezvous with her ex, a second source says Kylie seemed "happy" during her night out on the town. The insider shares that she and her friends enjoyed drinks and foods like french fries, mac and cheese and chocolate dessert. In between taking bites of the savory treats, the girls "took selfies together and were laughing."
Kylie's outing with her girlfriends was surely a welcome break from the relationship drama she was experiencing with Travis. A source previously told E! News, "The last few months, Kylie felt they were drifting and she was never really sure what was going on."
Panda uncovered! The Masked Singer reveals third celebrity contestant!
Talk about a sad panda. The Panda was the latest secret celebrity to go home from The Masked Singer, after performing alongside fellow contestants Black Widow, The Flamingo, and The Leopard. As always, the show’s celebrity judges — Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, and Ken Jeong — presided over the proceedings.
Black Widow was the first contestant to take the stage (singing “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston), followed by The Leopard (“Somebody To Love” by Queen), Flamingo (“Sucker” by the Jonas Brothers); and The Panda (“Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” by Kelly Clarkson).
In the first round, voters chose Black Widow over The Leopard, sending the latter to the smack down. Flamingo beat out The Panda in the second round, setting up a Panda and Leopard smack down. For the battle, Panda sang DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win” and The Leopard belted out “Respect” by Aretha Franklin. Ultimately, The Leopard lived to sing another day and The Panda was sent packing.
Following the loss, host Nick Cannon unmasked the furry contestant, who was revealed to be Laila Ali, retired professional boxer and daughter of famous heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali.
Before going home, Ali shared what it was like to be the Panda. “It was a lot of fun,” she said, adding, “I’ve always loved to sing, but I’ve always been shy.”
Ali, who was an undefeated four-time world champion, joked that this is the first time she’s ever lost “something like this.” “It was very humbling, but it’s been fun,” she said.
Ali joins previously eliminated contestants The Egg and Ice Cream, or Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir and professional gamer and streamer Tyler Blevins, aka Ninja, respectively.
R. Kelly Denied Bail on Sex-Trafficking Charges in New York, Pleads Not Guilty!
Forgiveness, anger after ex-Dallas cop Amber Guyger sentenced to 10 years
R. Kelly was denied bail during a status hearing in New York Wednesday afternoon in connection to the federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, despite a motion from his attorneys that says he is suffering from medical issues while in jail, according to News 5 in Chicago and the New York Daily News.
Magistrate Judge Steven Tiscione denied bail, saying Kelly poses a flight risk and a danger to public safety. The judge on Wednesday set Kelly’s next court hearing, which the singer is not expected to attend, for Dec. 9 in New York; the also set Kelly’s New York trial date for May 18, 2020. The trial is expected to last three weeks.
Kelly is also facing charges in Chicago, where he is being held in prison, on charges including seven counts related to child pornography, five counts of enticement of a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice.
The motion, which was filed Monday in the Eastern District of New York, said Kelly is suffering multiple ailments, including numbness in the hand and an untreated hernia, that are not “presently receiving adequate medical care,” and asked authorities to reconsider his bail. The motion asked that the singer be released immediately because he has no previous convictions, presents no flight risk or danger to the community.
Similar claims were dismissed by the judge in Kelly’s last hearing in New York in August, who cited the singer’s alleged “multitude of crimes spanning from 1997 to 2018,” noting they include “incredibly serious sexual abuse of minors, coercion, child pornography.” He said he is also “extremely troubled by issues of potential obstruction and the strong possibility of witness tampering if he is released.”
The New York indictment claims that the singer ran a racketeering enterprise involving “managers, bodyguards, drivers, personal assistants and runners for the defendant, as well as members of his entourage” who recruited women and girls for sex with Kelly, also transporting them across state lines. It also claims that he filmed the sexual activity, including sex with underage victims.
Shemar Moore Kisses His Married Crush Brigitte Nielsen on the Lips Twice During The Talk
The SWAT star, 49, was seated next to Danish actress Brigitte Nielsen when he visited the talk show and couldn’t keep his lips to himself after admitting that he had a crush on Nielsen, 56, when she starred in Rocky IV.
“For SWAT, we have to stay in shape. And you know, you get in the gym, we’re all vain, we want the baby girls to like what they see,” he began, prompting a round of applause from the audience at the show’s hosts Sheryl Underwood, Sharon Osbourne, Eve and Marie Osmond.
Moore is famously serious about his fitness regimen — so serious, in fact, that he bought his own gym,
“We do, we do,” Underwood said, with Nielsen nodding in agreement.
Moore touched Nielsen’s shoulder, telling her, “I like you, a lot. I loved you in Rocky, and now I have a crush on you for real.” Nielsen went in for a hug with the Young and the Restless alum, but when she pulled back, Moore went in for a smooch.
After the kiss on the lips, Nielsen was so surprised with herself that she put both hands on her cheeks and then covered her mouth in shock. Moore beamed beside her as the audience and the hosts went wild.
“I like the fact that you’re blushing, but you’re gonna have to get off my man, Brigitte!” Underwood teased. “Should we switch seats?” Nielsen asked her.
Osbourne got in on the banter, daring the two to kiss again: “I don’t think she tasted that. She needs another one.”
Moore was eager to oblige, and the two leaned in for another, longer smooch.
This time, Nielsen was so overcome that she walked right off the stage. “You have torn the set apart!” Eve told Moore. Meanwhile, everyone in the studio was howling and hooting with laughter.
“You know where she’s going? She’s going to go figure out how she’s gonna get back in the house after,” Underwood said, referencing Nielsen’s husband, the Italian model Mattia Dessi. The couple just welcomed 15-month-old daughter Frida in June of last year.
When Nielsen returned to her seat shortly after, Moore pulled out her chair for her, and she then wiped his mouth with a tissue to get rid of any lipstick. “Well, I have to say, it was nice to meet you, Brigitte,” Moore said.
The actor then circled the conversation back to his gym habits: “Yeah, so Eve, I like to work out, because stuff like that happens.”
But Underwood wouldn’t let Nielsen off the hook: “You’re gonna get your a– whooped, later!” she told her, which caused Nielsen to cover her face with her cue cards and another round of laughter to erupt.

Monica Changes Name On Social Media From Monica Brown Amid Divorce To Shannon Brown!
Monica is making one change at a time after she filed for divorce from her husband, Shannon Brown. Most recently she switched up her Instagram handle. Now, instead of going by @monicabrown, she’s @monicadenise.
The change comes just months after she took the first step to end her nearly nine-year marriage with the former NBA star.
While her reason is still a mystery, she did shut down speculation that it was because he cheated. She spoke on her history with infidelity and said that wasn’t her “issue” with Brown.
“Luckily, for us, it wasn’t another person that was the issue but in the times that I’ve experienced that, I definitely act out very harshly. So that part of the growth has been good. Me being hurt repeatedly allowed me to say, ‘Okay, how do you deal with hurt?’”
“Even though I’m on reality TV, there’s certain parts and elements of it that I’ve never discussed because when you get married, it is between the two of you and whatever happens within it, it’s us and God. No matter what happens, he will always get my absolute respect, gratitude and also my assistance in being a part of whatever his life becomes … I’ll be there to support because that’s what I vowed to do, even when the other side of it does not work.”
Monica filed for divorce back in March.
She and Brown married in November 2010. They have daughter Laiyah, 6, together.
Brown was also a strong figure for Monica’s sons, Rocko and Romelo, who she has from a previous relationship.
