Mary J. Blige for Self Magazine - October 2019!
R&B legend Mary J. Blige recently graced the cover of Self Magazine, and she looks absolutely incredible.
The “No More Drama” hitmaker shared the cover — and the photoshoot inside — on her Instagram account, and what a spread it is.
For the cover shot, Mary is posing in sunglasses while wearing a black-and-white netted crop top alongside white hot pants of the same material. She is seen rocking sunglasses and huge hoop earrings while also showing off the rose tattoo on her thigh. Her toned body is on full display as she fiercely places one hand on her head and the other on her leg. Mary is sporting blond, wavy hair and has never looked better.
Other shots for the issue consist of her wearing a snakeskin garment while sporting a low-cut vest in addition to more athletic looks — both of which compliment her beautiful shape.
There are also some up-close beauty shots in black-and-white included, and these photos highlight how much of a natural stunner the “Real Love” songstress is.
Mary thanked Self for allowing her to be on their latest cover, and for giving her the opportunity to share herself with her fans again.

In the space of 20 hours, the post racked up more than 126,000 likes, proving to be a hit with her followers.

“You slayed these photos Queen‼️ That bawdy is SNATCHED‼️” one user wrote.
“Mary you look super amazing in those photos. Stay blessed and continue to let your light shine forth,” another fan shared.
“Yessss Mary give it to ’em!” a third admirer remarked, adding multiple heart-eye and flame emoji.
“Come through Mary!!!!” a fourth fan gushed.’
“You look absolutely stunning!! love u for life queen,” a fifth follower commented.

#RHOA: Wendy Williams Says: ‘Kenya is gunning for that Nene money’!
Wendy Williams must pay ex Kevin Hunter $250K to find a new home
Despite her growing friendship with Nene Leakes, Wendy Williams has no problem with the reality star’s current nemesis and “Real Housewives of Atlanta” co-star Kenya Moore. She does, however, believe the mother of one is looking for a bigger paycheck and to dethrone Leakes as “queen” of the franchise.

Williams, 55, shared her theory on why the ladies can’t seem to get along during Friday’s episode of her hit talk show, telling her audience, “Nene was the queen of the franchise. Nene took some time off … then Kenya has been a star on the show since she first got on the show. I mean, they should’ve given her the peach after the first episode. Kenya’s now gunning for that Nene money. Nene is the queen of the franchise.”

Still, Williams claims to have no beef with Moore and can be, “as friendly with her, based on if I saw a demeanor in her that was sweet, like Nene.”
The host went on to say she isn’t “that invested” in drama between the ladies while making it clear her friendship with “home girl” Leakes will never affect her level of honesty.

“I’m invested with you [the audience], that’s it. I’ve told you guys this all along: I’m on nobody’s payroll, please! I go out when I want, I say what I want, I check in with people to get the proper answers.”

Williams also mentioned that upon hearing Moore call Leakes a “bully,” she texted her fellow blonde to see what she had to say. However, Leakes did not respond.

#Empire: Ratings Drops Again, as Fans Turn Away, Tune Out, Just 2.8 Mil Now, 17 Mil Four Years Ago!
“Empire” is not going out in style. The once hot-as-a-pistol show dropped again to its lowest ratings ever.
Tuesday’s night audience was down to 2,793,000 from 2,941,000 in week 2. Week one was just above 3 million.

Did Jussie Smollett carry that much audience? Or are the viewers just turned off by everything that happened with his scandal? Whatever it is, they are gone. Smollett took them with him when he became embroiled in his scandal last spring. His reporting of a mugging, with racial and homophobic overtones, turned into an international cause celebre when it couldn’t be corroborated. Smollett may have invented the whole thing because he wanted a higher salary. The whole thing ended with a question mark, and Smollett’s career in flames.

Believe it or not, “Empire” hit 17.65 million viewers on March 18, 2015. It was the season 1 cliffhanger. Since then, episode by episode, the numbers just drained slowly.
At the time “Empire” was renewed for its sixth and final season, Fox TV said: “We’re turning the final season of Empire into a large television event. We are going out guns-a-blazing. Six years is a pretty remarkable run for a drama series.” But it’s going out with a whimper at this point. Gun control has set in.

When it’s over, Taraji P. Henson can return to her film career or star in another series. Terrence Howard says he’s done, but who knows with him? He’d be imprudent to squander his career right now. Gaboure Sidibe was already famous from “Precious” before “Empire” started thanks to Lee Daniels, who directed that movie and created this show.

As for Daniels, time to get back to movies. He’s needed in that space more than in this one.
Meanwhile, “NCIS” dipped below 12 million to its lowest rating in some time. Ziva– Cote de Pablo– was not on this episode, which aired while a lot of viewers may have been at Kol Nidre services for Yom Kippur. Maybe that’s where Ziva — who’s Jewish in the show– was too.

#NewMusic: from JoJo –‘ Joanna’!

#HipHopNews: Joe Budden Dubs Logic "One Of The Worst Rappers To Ever Grace A Microphone"!
NEW YORK, NY – Joe Budden never shies away from expressing his feelings — ever. And his unfiltered opinion on Logic is no exception.
During a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, the Slaughterhouse vet dubbed the bespectacled artist “easily one of the worst rappers to ever grace a microphone” after listening to French Montana’s “Twisted” single featuring A$AP Rocky, Juicy J and, of course, Logic.

‘I’m going to be honest with you,” he continued. ‘I don’t know what they tell you at Def Jam, I know you sold a lot of records, I know you sell out a whole bunch of tours and I know just how successful you are, I have to be honest — you are horrible, man.”
When Budden got a little pushback from his co-hosts Rory and Mal, he joked that was enough to bring him out of rap retirement.

“He is really bad,” he says. “He is really bad. But why am I the only one? C’mon y’all. You can say it.”

This isn’t the first time (and likely won’t be the last) Budden has criticized Logic. In a Year-End Special for Revolt, he and Charlamagne Tha God both clowned the Maryland-bred artist for how frequently he mentions he’s biracial.

Fort Worth Police Officer Fatally Shoots Woman Atatiana Jefferson Inside Her Home!
A white Fort Worth police officer fatally shot a black woman in her home early Saturday morning.
The woman has been identified as 28-year-old Atatiana Jefferson.
Police say officers arrived at a home on East Allen Avenue around 2:30 a.m. Saturday after getting a call that the front door was open. Officers searched the outside of the home with flashlights and observed a person standing inside the home, near a window.

Body camera footage shows an officer yelled: "Put your hands up; show me your hands!"
“Perceiving a threat, the officer drew his duty weapon and fired one shot, striking the person inside the residence,” a police statement says.
Officers entered the home and provided emergency medical care. A firearm was found inside the home, authorities say.
The police department released body camera footage soon after the shooting, but video taken inside the house isn't being released due to state public information law. Evidence is being collected to be sent to the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office.

The unidentified officer has been placed on administrative leave. He’s been with the force since April 2018.
Demands for transparency. In Fort Worth, community activists, black community leaders and pastors addressed reporters Saturday afternoon. They say they want transparency from the police department during the investigation.

Lee Merritt, an attorney for Jefferson’s family, says he expects a thorough investigation. Jefferson was with her 8-year-old nephew inside the home when police arrived.
“They were playing video games when they heard someone creeping around outside,” Merritt said. “She went to investigate at the window. An officer was on the other side. He shouted commands and before she had a moment to respond, he shot her to death. That’s murder.”
Merritt said officers overreacted at the house and he doesn’t understand how people inside their homes can make officers feel threatened.

“There’s no justification for the use of deadly force,” he said.
Pastor B. R. Daniels Jr. of Beth Eden Baptist Church in Fort Worth says the police officer should be fired.
“We demand an immediate arrest of this officer," he wrote on Facebook. "We demand that this officer be charged with murder. ... We will not play nice and be understanding! We want justice now and we will not settle for anything less!”
The Tarrant County Coalition for Community Oversight posted on Facebook: “This is bigger than one officer. This entire department and city government are implicated and must be held accountable.”

In a statement, the Fort Worth police department said it “shares the deep concerns of the public and is committed to completing an extremely thorough investigation."

Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price says police leaders are "acting with  immediacy and transparency to conduct a complete and thorough investigation."
"Writing a statement like this is tragic and something that should never be necessary," the mayor wrote. "A young woman has lost her life, leaving her family in unbelievable grief. All of Fort Worth must surround Atatiana Jefferson’s family with prayers, love and support."

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram interviewed a neighbor, who said he called a non-emergency police number so authorities could check on Jefferson. James Smith saw a door was open and got concerned. He told the Star-Telegram he was trying to be a good neighbor when he called police.

“I’m shaken. I’m mad. I’m upset. And I feel it’s partly my fault,” Smith told the Star-Telegram. “If I had never dialed the police department, she’d still be alive.”

Shooting follows Guyger murder trial
The shooting comes less than two weeks after a white former Dallas police officer was sentenced to 10 years in prison for killing her black neighbor inside his own apartment. Amber Guyger said during her trial that mistook Botham Jean's apartment for her own, which was one floor below Jean's. Guyger, 31, was convicted of murder for Jean's September 2018 death.

Actor Robert Forster dies at 78 after battling brain cancer!
Oscar nominated actor Robert Forster has died after a battle with brain cancer.
Forster passed away in Los Angeles on Friday surrounded by his family, his long-time publicist Kathie Berlin told CNN. The 78-year-old was diagnosed with cancer in June.

His acting career spanned more than five decades, and he was best known for his roles in “Reflections in a Golden Eye” and “Medium Cool.” He also got a best supporting actor Oscar nomination for his role as a bail bondsman in Quentin Tarantino’s “Jackie Brown,” Berlin said.
More recently, Forster starred in the film “El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie” that premiered on Netflix Friday night.
Robert Forster was born in Rochester, New York on July 13, 1941. After he graduated from the University of Rochester, he moved to New York City, where he made his Broadway debut. Forster’s performance in “Mrs. Dally Has a Lover” landed him a role in his first film — “Reflections in a Golden Eye,” with Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando in 1967.

Forster went on to appear in more than 100 films and several television series.
One of his favorite roles, according to his publicist, was playing President Ronald Reagan in the one-man show “The Lifeguard.” He performed portions of the show for former first lady Nancy Reagan at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles.

Forster is survived by his four children, four grandchildren, and long-time partner, Denise Grayson.

Details of his memorial service have not yet been announced, Berlin said.

Kevin Hart has broken his Silence Following Car Crash, Police Claim Reckless Driving Caused The Accident!
Kevin Hart has been radio silent since he was severely injured in a car crash last month. The actor/comedian was hospitalized after his souped-up 1970 Plymouth Barracuda careened off the side of Mulholland Highway. He had to undergo major back surgery and thankfully it was successful. He was discharged 10 days after the crash to recover in a rehabilitation facility.

However, the Night School actor hasn’t publicly spoke out since the accident…until now. Kev’s attorney, Andrew Brettler, released a statement where the Jumanji star mentions Jared Black and Rebecca Broxterman, the two other individuals who were in the car when the accident occurred.

“I have nothing but love for Jared and wish him and Rebecca a speedy recovery,” Kevin said
Kev's attorney said the Ride Along actor is doing OK, still recovering from his injuries and doing physical therapy at home. So far, Kevin has reportedly only shot promotional material for his upcoming film Jumanji: The Next Level earlier this week. Although he can walk on his own, he is still sitting throughout most of the day and needs to work on his physical therapy.
“While he’s doing a little work here and there for the film, he doesn’t expect to be fully back to work until the new year,” Kevin's attorney said. So he won’t fully be back until 2020.

The police claim recklessness is to blame for the accident. Jared Black was turning on to Mulholland Highway near Malibu when he accelerated and lost control while driving actor's souped up vintage vehicle. Kevin and Jared’s fiancée, Rebecca Broxterman, were passengers in the car.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the car then careened down an embankment and slammed into a tree. Apparently, none of them were wearing seatbelts. The report stated Kevin and Jared suffered “major back injuries,” while Rebecca did not sustain major injuries. The report also said Jared was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time. The report said he violated the law, but did not say whether charges would be brought up.

We wish them all a speedy recovery.

Former ‘Page Six TV’ host Bevy Smith allegedly attacked by cab driver!
Former “Page Six TV” host Bevy Smith says she was attacked by a cab driver while trying to hail a ride home Thursday night.
Smith told us she tried to hop into a cab that was dropping off passengers at the Hotel Edison in Times Square, but the driver started yelling at her, telling her that he was off duty.

Smith whipped out her phone and started recording him and his medallion. “I thought you weren’t working. You don’t want to take a black person, right?” Smith asks on the video.

The driver then tried to smack the phone out of Smith’s hand. “Now, you’re on video. Got you. I’m reporting you,” she said. The SiriusXM “Bevelations” host filed a police report and a complaint to the Taxi & Limousine Commission. “I’ve been discriminated against by [a driver] … I hop into his taxi & he said he wasn’t working! As a New Yorker I knew that was a lie, no one’s shift ends at 8:30,” Smith captioned her video.
She shared her story on “Good Day New York” with co-hosts Rosanna Scotto and Lori Stokes, who said she’d had a similar experience.

Billy Porter In Talks To Play Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother In New Cinderella Film!
A new Cinderella film is being cheffed up by #JamesCorden, and #BillyPorter is one of the names that has been added to the cast.
Cinderella, who is set to be played by #CamilaCabello, won’t be late to the ball this time around because she will be styled by Emmy-winner Billy Porter, who has been cast to play the Fairy Godmother. This will be Cabello’s debut as an actress and Popsugar reports the songstress will be heavily involved with the music of the film.

Along with Porter is #IdinaMenzel who will star as Cinderella’s evil step-mother Lady Tremaine. There aren’t many details on the film, but the story is being described as “a modern reimagining of the classic fairy tale.” Corden will be producing the feature alongside his Fulwell 73 partner Leo Pearlman. Kay Cannon will act as a writer-director.

Cabello said she feels her part in the film was a part of God’s work. “It was one of those things that felt like God handcrafted it for me and was, like, ‘Here you go.’” Cabello told Variety of taking on the movie. “I just couldn’t say no. It’s honestly a dream for me. And also a little bit terrifying.”

Kanye West surprises Howard U. with "Sunday Service" concert!
WASHINGTON - Mega music producer and rapper Kanye West held his famous “Sunday Service” on a Saturday morning at Howard University’s homecoming.
Kim Kardashian West was there along with their children and thousands who came out to Howard’s yard.
The Chicago native and critically acclaimed and controversial Grammy award winning rapper began his service with praise and worship including a gospel twist on several popular hits.

With security, celebrities and Howard University students surrounding West, he performed snippets from several songs and then, the sermon.
“One in three African Americans are in prison in America and we be concerned about a ball game, about a rap album… the message on the radio station is about how you need to cheat on your man, cheat on your boyfriend, cheat on your girlfriend.  All this controlled music, people aren’t even writing their own rhymes, it’s all a setup, said West.
“This is something God put on my heart.  I got family locked up,” said West.
Attendees said West’s “Sunday Service,” met their expectations.

“Yeah, it did. I can’t really see but I feel all the good vibes. That’s what it’s all about,” said Cedric McFadden, a Howard University graduate.
McFadden says the message was about forgiveness.
“The message here today?  Forgive.  There was a couple guys talking about their past and how they spent life in jail and how they just got out,” said McFadden.

Momolu Stewart publicly thanked Kim Kardashian West who advocated for his release from prison after 23 years.  Stewart got of jail last week amid serving a life sentence for a murder conviction he received as a 16 year old.
“As controversial as he is, he is a legendary artist and I wanted to see what it was about, it’s a free event, why not come,” said Kristi Dayemo, a Howard University graduate.
“This is awesome, I love it,” said Trinity Wade, a Howard University student.

“I’m making a film about the Make America Great Again hats and Kanye is just a huge inspiration in that hole realm,” said Thomas Rechenberg, a documentary journalist.
Politics aside, West pop-up service on the yard at Howard was apparently a complete surprise – and a welcome one for attendees who came for a word and to catch a glimpse of these pop culture icons.

Trinitarios Gang Members Sentenced to Up To Life in Prison For Brutal Murder of Junior Guzman-Feliz!
The five Trinitarios gang members convicted in the brutal Bronx slaying of Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz were sentenced today to up to life behind bars.
According to the NY Post, 25-year-old Jonaiki Martinez Estrella was the first to be handed the hefty sentence of life in prison without parole in a Bronx courtroom by Judge Robert Neary.

Co-defendants Antonio Rodriguez Hernandez Santiago, 25, Jose Muniz, 23, and Elvin Garcia, 25, were each hit with a sentence of 25 years to life in prison, while 19-year-old Manuel Rivera, was given a slightly lesser sentence of 23 years to life behind bars.
Guzman-Feliz was stabbed to death by the gang members outside the Cruz and Chiky bodega after he was dragged out of the Belmont store in a case of mistaken identity.
The caught-on-camera violent slaying happened about a block from where the boy lived with his family, and shook the city as the video showed the young teen’s last moments of life.

Last June, less than a week before the anniversary of the murder, a jury convicted the five gang members of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, second-degree conspiracy, and second-degree gang assault.

There are still eight other defendants in the case awaiting trial.
