Kim Kardashian has 3 covers for Vogue Japan - August 2019
The 38-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star graces not one, not two, but three different covers of the magazine's August issue. Kardashian took to Instagram on Thursday to celebrate in a slideshow featuring the stunning covers.
Kardashian's Vogue Japan covers come just a few months after she earned her first solo cover of American Vogue. Inside the magazine, she revealed for the first time that she was studying to become a lawyer.
"I had to think long and hard about this," she said about her surprising new venture, before sharing the moment she wanted to become a lawyer.
"The White House called me to advise to help change the system of clemency, and I'm sitting in the Roosevelt Room with, like, a judge who had sentenced criminals and a lot of really powerful people and I just sat there, like, Oh, sh*t. I need to know more. I would say what I had to say, about the human side and why this is so unfair. But I had attorneys with me who could back that up with all the facts of the case. It’s never one person who gets things done; it’s always a collective of people, and I've always known my role, but I just felt like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society. I just felt like the system could be so different, and I wanted to fight to fix it, and if I knew more, I could do more," she explained. See all the other covers below!

The Real Housewives of Atlanta model shared a photo of her mom to salute her on her birthday. In their side-by-side snap, it's clear that this mother-daughter duo has the same beautiful smile and deep, sparking brown eyes. Also, can we talk about all this complexion perfection?
In her caption, Cynthia paid homage to her mama's inner beauty, too. "You are sweet, kind, hard-working, humble, and always there for your family & children. I have learned so much from you," she wrote.

The Empire star and D.C.-area native went full ‘90s for the moment, wearing a black unitard and red, long-sleeved jacket and topping the look with a crimped ponytail.

Samuel L. Jackson goes off after spotting mistake in 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' poster
Let's take a moment of silence for the graphic designer who's probably packing their desk up right now.
Samuel L. Jackson took to his Instagram to call out a major and easily-avoidable mistake in a promotional poster for Spider-Man: Far From Home. Jackson stars in the film as Nick Fury, a role he's been playing since 2008's Iron Man (in which he appeared in the post-credits).
Whoever was in charge of making these posters clearly wasn't seeing straight, as they accidentally swapped Jackson's eye patch on one of the posters.
The actor went in on the error, captioning the mishap "Uhhhhhhh, What In The Actual FUCK IS GOING ON HERE???!!!" He added two hashtags for extra effect: #HeadsGonRoll and #LeftEyeMuthaFukkah. Clearly, he's not happy.
Marvel films are known to employ alternate universes in which characters can differ in powers or appearance. This could mean there's a chance that Nick Fury travels to a different dimension in the upcoming Spider-Man film, which would explain his eyepatch covering the opposite eye.
In the real world, though, it's clearly a Photoshopping misstep. Like Jackson said: heads gon' roll.
Remembering MJ! The Icon Michael Jackson Died 10 Years Ago (June 25)
Jackson was 50 when he died of a drug overdose on 25 June 2009 at his home in Holby Hills, Los Angeles. He had taken popofol, lorazepam and midazolam. His cause of death was listed as an overdose from propofol.
Jackson had been rehearsing in Los Angeles for what was to initially be a residency in London followed by a world tour. Footage of the rehearsals, filmed by Sandrine Orabona, was made into the movie ‘This Is It’.
Since Jackson’s death, his family members have kept his legacy alive through his favorite art form: music. His estate has grossed more than $1.3 billion since the end of 2016, one of the most recent tallies, and he has “out-earned pretty much every living entertainer since his death,” as Forbes senior editor of media and entertainment Zack O’Malley Greenburg recently noted.
The estate has reissued some of the entertainer’s most popular releases, including 1987’s Bad, in addition to compiling two posthumous albums, 2010’s Michael and 2014’s Xscape. Jackson’s music has also been featured in two Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas, countless commercials and TV specials
Some parts of Michael Jackson’s life was plagued by controversy. He faced trial of multiple sexual abuse charges of minors in the years leading up to his death but was acquitted on all counts. A recent documentary Leaving Neverland attempted to resurrect the accusations but failed to have any legal impact on the prior court cases.
Regardless of the controversy Jackson’s reputation of King of Pop goes unchallenged. He is one of the best-selling artists of all-time with over 350 million album sales. His biggest album ‘Thriller’ is estimated to have sold around 66 million copies worldwide.
Jackson has 15 Grammy Awards, 26 American Music Awards and has had 13 number one singles.
Rest in Power King of Pop!
The Broadway Musical ‘The Prom’ is headed to Netflix: Ryan Murphy is heading along with Streep, Corden, Kidman, Ariana Grande, Awkwafina, Key, Rannels will Star.
Not yet a year into his expensive five-year deal with Netflix, Ryan Murphy is about to deliver his biggest get for the streamer. Deadline hears he will direct and produce the feature adaptation of the Tony-nominated stage musical The Prom and has secured a cast that puts Netflix in new starpower territory.
Meryl Streep will star alongside James Corden, Nicole Kidman and Ariana Grande, with Awkwafina, Keegan-Michael Key and Andrew Rannells playing key roles. Sources said Murphy will get underway directing the film adaptation of the Broadway hit in December, for a fall 2020 awards season release in theaters before it airs on the streamer.
Murphy adds this to three series he is delivering — The Politicians, Ratched and Hollywood — with two yet to be announced documentaries and another movie stage adaptation coming. Latter is The Boys in the Band, directed by Joe Mantello with the recent Broadway 50th anniversary revival cast. That one begins shooting in July, fresh off its recent Tony win.
In Prom, Streep will play Dee Dee Allen, a two-time Tony winner who teams with Corden’s Barry Glickman in a flop musical about Eleanor Roosevelt. After career-ending reviews, they decide — along with Broadway babies Kidman as Angie Dickinson and Rannells (Book of Mormon) as Trent Oliver — to champion a cause to rehabilitate their careers. They find one in Emma, a high school senior in Indiana who isn’t allowed to take her girlfriend to the prom. A nationwide search led by casting director Alexa Fogel is on to fill the role of Emma.
Grande will star as Alyssa, a popular daughter of the head of the PTA. Awkwafina will play the group’s publicist Ms. Sheldon, and Key will play Streep’s love interest and Emma’s ally, Principal Hawkins.
Murphy will produce with Alexis Woodall, Bill Damaschke, and Dori Berinstein. Script is by Bob Martin and Chad Beguelin, music and lyrics are by Beguelin and Matthew Sklar, based on the original concept by Jack Viertel.
Murphy’s star-studded cast came together quickly this spring. All were the director’s first choices, and each said yes quickly after seeing the Tony-nominated musical with its themes of inclusion and tolerance.
Murphy will produce the soundtrack along with Grande and her manager, Scooter Braun.

Khloe Kardashian says Tristan Thompson threatened suicide amid cheating scandal
Khloe Kardashian says Tristan Thompson threatened suicide after reportedly cheating on her with Jordyn Woods.
The 34-year-old television personality and her sisters reacted to Thompson's night with Woods during Sunday's episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, part one of the two-part Season 16 finale.
Thompson and Woods reportedly kissed after partying together at Thompson's house in February. Khloe found out about the scandal as Thompson, an NBA player for the Cleveland Cavaliers, was on a flight back to Ohio.
"Once Tristan finally landed in Cleveland, he saw my millions of text messages," Khloe recounted. "He already knew what was up and there was nothing else he could do but confirm it."
"I got my questions answered," she said. "Everyone left and Jordyn stayed. She was sitting on his lap on a chair, they were all over each other, they were handsy. They made out."
"It's disgusting," the star added. "I'll never understand the depths of this ... I was just hoping for a better outcome for my daughter and for myself."
Thompson previously cheated on Khloe while she was pregnant with their daughter, True, who was born in April 2018. Khloe relayed some of Thompson's texts during a conversation with her sister Kourtney Kardashian's ex-partner, Scott Disick.
"He's like, 'I can't stop thinking about you and what mess I have caused,'" she said. "He's doing this to get a reaction out of me. Oh, so I'm just allowed to say 'I'm going to kill myself' at any time? That's crazy."
Khloe had one of Thompson's friends check on the NBA player to confirm his well-being.
"The fact that Khloe is sitting here heartbroken but still worrying about Tristan's feelings and the possibilities of him being upset or possibly hurting himself -- I mean, it just goes to show that Khloe is an unbelievable person that loves so hard and so much," Disick said in a confessional shot.
Woods, who was best friends with Khloe's sister Kylie Jenner at the time of the scandal, said in an interview with Red Table Talk in March that she shared a passionless kiss with Thompson after their night together.
"On the way out, he did kiss me," Woods said. "No passion, no nothing ... It was like a kiss on the lips. No tongue kiss, no nothing."

Terrified and in fear for their lives, the man, a retail employee, and the woman, a criminal defense lawyer, are forced to go on the run. But the incident is captured on video and goes viral, and the couple unwittingly become a symbol of trauma, terror, grief, and pain for people across the country

Laverne Cox and Her Boyfriend Kyle Draper have broken up
American actress and LGBT+ campaigner Laverne Cox has broken up with her partner of almost two years, record label CEO Kyle Draper.
In an Instagram post, Cox said that the decision had come after “much soul searching and tears.”
“We decided we should make a public statement since our relationship was public in ways neither of us anticipated,” she wrote.
The Orange is the New Black actress celebrated her one-year anniversary with Draper in July 2018, with another Instagram post, but little was known about Draper at that point.
“We know our relationship meant so much to so many people, especially trans folks, giving them hope that this kind of love is possible for them as well,” Cox said today (June 25).
“That hope, the hope for love has not waned for me in the face of this breakup but rather is fortified.
“Knowing that we are both capable of giving and receiving love with this level of kindness, respect, trust, affection, depth, and intensity has been so healing and life affirming for us both.”
“I am so grateful we were open to love and for every moment we had together. We have both grown in innumerable ways as a result,” Cox said.
Draper is CEO of record label Mateo Sound, and a founder of real estate firm Serene Team.
He’s also a director of real estate company Keller Williams Downtown Los Angeles’ executive division, and describes himself on Instagram as an “entrepreneur” and “motivator.”
In May 2019, Cox told Page Six that her relationship with Draper was “amazing.”
“Our two-year anniversary is in July,” she added. Well No more obviously!
But in today’s Instagram post, she said, “Now its just time to move on separately. We both want a breakup that honours and respects the quality of our relationship and the love we shared. Its possible.”
Tupac’s Estate And Others Sue Universal Music Group Over Lost And Destroyed Recordings From 2008 Studio Fire
Last week, the New York Times detailed the full extent of damages sustained during the infamous 2008 Universal fire, where as many as 500,000 master recordings were destroyed in the back lot fire of Universal Studios Hollywood. Now in response to the detailed report on what was damaged, the estate of late rap icon Tupac Shakur has filed a lawsuit against the label, according to Variety.
Attorneys representing Pac’s estate, Tom Petty’s estate, Steve Earle, Soundgarden, and Hole are seeking “50% of any settlement proceeds and insurance payments received by UMG for the loss of the master recordings, and 50% of any remaining loss of value not compensated by such settlement proceeds and insurance payments.” They claim that UMG did not provide sufficient protection for the highly valuable masters.
The lawsuit documents read, “UMG did not speak up immediately or even ever inform its recording artists that the Master Recordings embodying their musical works were destroyed. In fact, UMG concealed the loss with false public statements such as that ‘we only lost a small number of tapes and other material by obscure artists from the 1940s and 50s.’ To this day, UMG has failed to inform Plaintiffs that their Master Recordings were destroyed in the Fire.”
Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge responded to the article, telling his company to own their mistakes that led to the fire. “We owe our artists transparency,” he wrote. “We owe them answers.”
Other artists affected by the devastating fire include Eminem, Nirvana, Snoop Dogg, the Roots, Beck, Sonic Youth, Elton John, Janet Jackson, Nine Inch Nails, Iggy Pop, and many more. Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic said earlier this month that he firmly believes the Nevermind-era recordings are “gone forever.”
YIKES! Jeremy Meeks CRASHES his beloved $133,000 Karma Revero
Oh no! Jeremy Meeks has CRASHED his beloved $133,000 Karma Revero just weeks after he bought it, leaving it with a big hole above the wheel and scratches
There was a giant scrape by the front wheel which was so bad, there was a sizeable hole in place as well as well as some scratches.
Jeremy even personally thanked the car repair service on Instagram, writing: ‘I appreciate West Hollywood Collision Center for taking care of me.’
Meanwhile, Jeremy has been forced to quash rumours about his romance with Arcadia heiress Chloe Green being ‘strained’, confirming they are still very much together.
Only a matter of weeks ago, Jeremy was forced to deny a split after he was photographed arm-in-arm with Romanian-born model Andreea Sasu at two events during Cannes Film Festival.
Jeremy – who attracted the ‘hot felon’ nickname in 2014 after his police mugshot went viral following his arrest for firearms possession – was in Los Angeles.
The model, who has a ten-year-old son, Jeremy Jr, from his previous marriage, was signed up by a modelling agency while serving a 27-month sentence and made his catwalk debut during New York Fashion Week in February 2017.

Cardi B Now Demanding $30 Million from Ex-Manager Shaft in Nasty Court Battle
Cardi B is informing the court she is now seeking $30 million in damages from her former manager Shaft.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Cardi B has filed an amended lawsuit against her ex-manager. The singer is also detailing the laundry list of things she believes he did wrong while managing her.
The singer was originally only seeking $15 million in damages but now wants $10 million in compensatory damages and another $20 million in punitive damages.
Cardi claims that Shaft made her believe her interests were being protected but she says they were not. She accuses him of taking a bigger cut of her income than allowed.
She is again asking for his lawsuit against her to be dismissed and her counter-suit to continue on.
Raphael originally sued Cardi B for $10 million, claiming she breached their contract by ditching him as her manager.
Cardi B counter-sued Raphael seeking $15 million in damages, accusing him of screwing her over after she entrusted him and his companies with many aspects of her business affairs.
She claimed that despite him having a duty to act in her best interest, he took advantage of her “trust and naiveté and persuaded her to sign contracts and to enter into deals in which Mr. Raphael attempted to take an unreasonable and unconscionable portion of [her] earnings in the entertainment industry for himself.”
In 2015, Cardi B said she signed her deal with Raphael’s company — without a lawyer — which provided her former manager with a 20% cut of her earnings. She said he breached their deal by failing to provide monthly accounting, failed to appoint an independent business manager and for not providing her with adequate payments owed to her.
Both cases remain ongoing.
Lady Gaga Wants Everyone To Start Asking Each Other What Pronoun They Use
“Are we making history or what?” Lady Gaga asked the packed crowd at a special invitation-only concert at the Apollo Theater on Monday night.
The pop star was in Harlem playing her very first show at the historic venue to celebrate SiriusXM’s acquisition of the Pandora streaming service, which took place earlier this year.
Gaga performed a set list filled with her biggest hits, including “Just Dance,” “Poker Face,” “Bad Romance,” and “Telephone.” The show loosely followed the plot of her current Las Vegas residency, “Enigma,” complete with dancers in day-glo costumes and a digital being who leads the singer on a journey to learn more about herself.
Halfway through the show, Gaga told the crowd, “We have a lot of things to celebrate ― it’s WorldPride Week,” referencing celebrations of the LGBTQ community taking place in New York City. “I think Pride should exist 365 ― all year ― but I’ll take a fucking global week!” she added.
She also noted that Friday is the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, an event many designate as the birth of the modern LGBTQ rights movement.
“That was when our community said ‘enough is enough!’” Gaga said before giving a quick shoutout to trans icon Marsha P. Johnson, one of the rioters at Stonewall that night.
Lady Gaga’s Apollo Theater set list loosely followed the plot of her current Las Vegas residency.
Gaga, who identifies as bisexual, then thanked her fans for “showing and teaching me,” and revealed something “very important” that she’d learned from them:
I wish to share this with anyone who is listening ― not just in this theater, but around the world ― ask the question: What is your pronoun? Because for a lot of people it’s really hard and their pronoun is not respected or they’re not asked, and for me, I’ve grown and changed over the years in a lot of different ways. I’ve felt misunderstood in a lot of different ways. All of our hardships are different ― I don’t mean to compare ― I just mean to say we’re in this together and I’ve had a million reasons to want to give up, but sometimes, if you’re lucky you just need one good reason to stick around.
The pop star then launched into a performance of her song “Million Reasons” from 2016′s “Joanne” album.
“Are we making history or what?” Lady Gaga asked the packed Apollo Theater audience.
After playing several more fan favorites, including the LGBTQ anthem “Born This Way,” Gaga finished the show by performing her Oscar and Grammy-winning hit “Shallow” from the 2018 film “A Star Is Born.”
Gaga’s appearance at the Apollo marked her first performance at the iconic venue, which has featured some of the biggest names in music ― including Ella Fitzgerald, Sammy Davis Jr., James Brown, and Lauryn Hill ― since it opened its doors in 1914.
A broadcast of her performance will air Friday on SiriusXM Hits 1 at 5 p.m., on Howard 101 at 11 p.m., and Saturday on Pandora NOW at 5 p.m.
