The Daily Buzz For May 30 ☕📰☕

Chris Hemsworth for Variety - May 2019
He said he nearly missed out on playing Thor but surely no other actor could lift the hammer.
It's hard to imagine anyone other than Chris Hemsworth being able to lift Thor's hammer, but the actor has described how he almost missed out on the role.

Chris has previously stated that younger brother Liam Hemsworth almost beat him to the role, but he also could have lost out if he'd been cast in two other major movies.
In an interview with Variety, Chris revealed he was almost cast in GI Joe (a role which eventually went to Channing Tatum) and as Gambit in the Wolverine X-Men Origins movie instead of Taylor Kitsch.
“At the time I was upset,” Chris said. “I was running out of money. But if I played either of those characters, I wouldn’t have been able to play Thor.”

Chris also admitted that despite beating hundreds of other actors for the role of Thor, he still doubted that he was worthy.
“I’ve never been able to sit back and be in the moment,” Chris said, adding that, while filming the first movie, he was thinking: "Am I going to get recast?
"Are they even going to make a sequel? Is anyone going to turn up to see the film?’
Of course, Chris went on to have great success as Thor, leading three solo movies, as well as appearing in the Avengers.

And with the character's story arc in Endgame, it looks as if he could be off to explore the galaxies next.

#RHOA: Phaedra Parks & Boyfriend Radio Personality Tone Kapone Have reportedly split!
Word on the street is Phaedra Parks and Tone Kapone have reportedly split. Sources say that the former Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star and radio personality have broken up, allegedly ending their relationship and the their decision to part ways was mutual.

“There’s no bad blood, it just didn’t work out.” Despite ending their relationship, the pair still follow each other on social media.
Phaedra and Tone went public with their relationship in January.

#Empire: Lamar Odom Secretly Dated Taraji P. Henson He says: “I Don’t Think I Ever Connected With Another Black Woman As Deeply As I Did With Taraji”
Former NBA star Lamar Odom is literally going hard in the paint to promote his memoir, “Darkness to Light,” and is revealing some truly jaw dropping tidbits along the way.
While we’ve known him for his athletic ability, his celebrity marriage to Khloe Kardashian, and the subsequent drug use which almost resulted in death, Odom shared that prior to taking vows with Khloe, he was once head over heels for Empire actress Taraji P. Henson.

“We ended up exchanging numbers. She was just such a wise woman that she could see through whatever smooth act I was trying to put on,” Odom wrote. “She refused to be just another conquest, and truthfully, I didn’t want her to be.”

Odom and Henson met and began dating sometime in 2008 around the same time when Henson’s son Marcel was 14 years ago, according to his account. Though we may have not been aware of their coupledom, it looks like Odom was Henson’s date at a 2009 Golden Globe after party. He called that period one of the “happiest times in his life.”

“We started secretly dating and quickly fell in love,” he continued.
“She introduced me to her fourteen-year-old son, Marcel, and was at my house nearly every day. Sometimes she’d bring some of her Hollywood friends, like actress Sanaa Lathan who starred in Love And Basketball,” he wrote.
“I don’t think I ever connected with another black woman as deeply as I did Taraji.” However, their relationship soon ended because of infidelity. “Things were amazing, but of course, God gave me a layup and I blew it.”

Months after their breakup, Odom got on one knee and proposed to Khloe and then planned a whirlwind wedding.
Since that time Henson has of course moved on and is currently planning her nuptials to former NFL player Kelvin Hayden. But it’s interesting to see Odom be so open and honest about how he feels knowing he let a go thing go.

#NewMusic from Corinne Bailey Rae ‘Do You Ever Think Of Me’
There have been rumors that Corinne Bailey Rae might be in the process of creating a new album, which would be the follow-up to her lovely 2016 set The Heart Speaks In Whispers. But before she gets into the new, the talented singer-songwriter revisits her most recent project with an unexpected video for "Do You Ever Think Of Me," the emotional heart of the album. The song itself channels the old school soul of songwriters of the '60s and '70s (which is fitting since it's co-written by Valerie Simpson and shares some musical DNA with Curtis Mayfield's "The Makings Of You").

Corinne keeps it old school with the visual as well. Instead of giving us a traditional performance video, the singer opts to showcase a set of breathtaking Polaroid snapshots from what looks like one of the best days one could possibly have in New York City. We're treated to fabulous shots a smiling and happy Corinne as she goes about her day, her windswept head of curls framed by sunlight. We're also shown snaps of her sipping wine and vibing with nature as her day progresses. All the while, the guitar-driven soul of the track and her voice are there to provide an intoxicating soundtrack

LISTEN HERE
.We're not sure where Corinne Bailey Rae may be heading in her musical future but we're definitely happy that she decided to remind of her last album's best moments with this lovely clip.

#HipHopNews: Miley Cyrus Addresses Nicki Minaj And Cardi B Lyric
Miley Cyrus is getting in the middle of the Nicki Minaj and Cardi B drama.

The pop superstar made headlines after debuting her new song “Cattitude” at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend show over the weekend. “I love you, Nicki, but I listen to Cardi,” she raps on the track, which also includes the lyrics, “I love you, Selena, but I listen to Demi” and “I love you, me, but I listen to Ari.”
The lyric reignited the Nicki vs. Cardi debate on social media. Last September, the rap rivals got into a fight at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party during Fashion Week in New York.

During an interview with “Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp,” the 26-year-old singer made it clear that she wasn’t choosing sides in the Nicki vs. Cardi feud.

“I don’t think there is beef now anymore,” she said (via E! Online). “Actually, one of my songs says, ‘You want to know if we’re really beefin’? There’s no beef. I’m a vegan.’ I think you’re allowed to enjoy two artists that fill a similar lane.”

She continued, “I just always grew up collaborating with Selena and Demi, and there was never competition. That’s why Ariana is one of my best friends. When you are authentically yourself, no one can be you. So, you’re never worried about someone stealing your place because it can’t be taken because you’re the only one. I think what they do is so different from each other. That’s why they both get a crown. They don’t have to share. They don’t have to break it in half. There’s no reason to fight over it. They’re both queens. And anytime you want to feel powerful and strong, that’s my go-to, Cardi and Nicki.”

While on stage at the 2015 MTV VMAs, Nicki put Miley on blast after she criticized her during an interview with The New York Times. Cyrus said Minaj was wrong for calling out MTV for snubbing “Anaconda” from the Video of the Year category.

“And now, back to this bitch who had a lot to say about me the other day in the press: Miley, What’s good?” Nicki said while accepting the award for Best Hip-Hop Video.

“Cattitude” is set to appear on Miley’s new album She Is Coming, which drops May 31.

Ellen DeGeneres Opens Up About Being Sexually Assaulted By Her Stepfather At 15!
Ellen DeGeneres, opened up about being sexually assaulted by her stepfather during her interview on “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman.”
The 61-year-old award-winning talk show host said her mother, Betty DeGeneres, married a “very bad man” before she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Ellen’s stepfather used her mother’s diagnosis and the fact that she had a double mastectomy to sexually assault her.
He told me when she was out of town that he’d felt a lump in her breast and needed to feel my breasts because he didn’t want to upset her, but he needed to feel mine.

I’m angry at myself because, you know, I didn’t — I was too weak to stand up to — I was 15 or 16.
It’s a really horrible, horrible story and the only reason I’m actually going to go into detail about it is because I want other girls to not ever let someone do that.
We [women] just don’t feel like we’re worthy, or we’re scared to have a voice, and we’re scared to say no.

That’s the only reason I think it’s important to talk about it because there’s so many young girls and it doesn’t matter how old you are. When I see people speaking out, especially now, it angers me when victims aren’t believed, because we just don’t make stuff up. And I like men, but there are so many men that get away with so much.
It is just time for us to have a voice. It’s time for us to have power.

The new season of “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman” returns on May 31 and Dave sits down with Kanye West, Ellen Degeneres, Tiffany Haddish, Lewis Hamilton and Melinda Gates.

Fenty Maison Is Here! Every Must-Have Piece From Rihanna’s Debut Collection
Rihanna’s highly anticipated luxury brand Fenty officially launches today. While there is already a pop-up shop in Paris going on, people from across the world can log onto FENTY.com and purchase the looks they have been swooning over through social media and press.

The internet completely lost it when Rihanna announced her collaboration with LVMH during an interview with The New York Times last week. Working on her new fashion line–which resulted in a move to London–happens to put Rihanna in a position as the first black woman to collaborate with the powerful French corporation that includes brands like Hennesy, Louis Vuitton, and Sephora to name a few. From debates on the luxury price range to the clothing designs itself, it has been hard to scroll on your social media feed and not see anything mentioned about the pop star’s new business venture.

Rihanna kept it pretty safe for the brand’s first collection, dabbling with neutral colors like tan, pink and white and adding a few structured denim pieces. Most items have a clinched waist, making it almost impossible for your love handles to show (thanks, Rih!) and each piece is simple, yet makes a statement. Fenty is also launching jewelry, sunglasses, and heels to complete each look.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller: Claims Charging Trump Was 'Not An Option We Could Consider' But did not exonerate Him neither. Closes Investigation.
Special counsel Robert Mueller formally shut down his Russia investigation on Wednesday in an unusual appearance in which he restated his findings and made clear that he never considered it an option to charge President Trump.
"We are formally closing the special counsel's office," Mueller told reporters at the Justice Department on Wednesday morning.

In his 10-minute statement, Mueller highlighted a few portions of the roughly 400-page report, including the section on whether President Trump obstructed justice.
"If we had had confidence that the president did not commit a crime, we would have said so," he said. "We did not, however, make a determination as to whether the president did commit a crime."

Mueller emphasized that Justice Department regulations do not permit the indictment of a sitting president. Accordingly, Mueller said, he never considered it an option to bring an indictment no matter what he had uncovered.
He also noted the overarching findings on Russia's interference in 2016. The attack on the election was real, Mueller said — and it merited a serious investigation.
"There were multiple, systematic efforts to interfere in our election, and that allegation deserves the attention of every American," he said.

Mueller's remarks provided a subtle riposte to Trump and other critics who have described the special counsel as leading a "witch hunt" based on a conspiracy to deny Trump the presidency in 2016.
The president's allies, including Attorney General William Barr, want to turn their attention to the investigators who took part in the early part of this case and reveal more about what surveillance took place.
Trump has authorized Barr to declassify intelligence or other findings.
The president and supporters say they want to uncover what they call abuse of power by the FBI and Justice Department.

Skeptics, including the vice chairman of the Senate intelligence committee, said they are worried about the administration "weaponizing" intelligence and risking revelations about the sources and methods by which it was obtained.
Mueller's investigation ran from May 2017 to March 2019. One of his office's mandates from the Justice Department was to investigate whether Donald Trump's campaign coordinated with Russia in that country's interference efforts.
Mueller found insufficient evidence to charge anyone with such a criminal conspiracy, despite detailing dozens of connections between people in Trump's orbit and those connected with Russia.
The special counsel also investigated whether the president obstructed justice over the course of the investigation. The report explicitly said it did not "exonerate" Trump on the question of obstruction.

Trump responded shortly after Mueller finished, saying that his statement and report changes "nothing."
"There was insufficient evidence and therefore, in our Country, a person is innocent," Trump tweeted. "The case is closed! Thank you."
The White House was notified Tuesday night that Mueller might make a statement, an official said.
Mueller declined to answer questions from reporters after his statement Wednesday. He also said he did "not believe it is appropriate" for him to testify before Congress, as House Democrats have asked.
The special counsel has said what he has to say, Mueller said.

"We chose those words carefully and the work speaks for itself," he said. "The report is my testimony. I would not provide information beyond that which is already public in any appearance before Congress."

House Democrats have also issued a subpoena for the full, unredacted text of his report and his supporting evidence — which the Justice Department won't provide.
Barr says the grand jury material in Mueller's report must remain secret under federal regulations and has recommended more broadly that the work is protected under executive privilege.

"We appreciate that the attorney general made the report largely public," Mueller said. "I certainly do not question the attorney general's good faith in that decision."

Mueller's statement also follows an account in a new book, Siege: Trump Under Fire by Michael Wolff, that described the special counsel's office as having prepared an indictment for Trump in connection with alleged obstruction of justice — the focus of Volume II of Mueller's report.
No such indictment was ever unsealed, and Mueller's reiterated his office's process and defended his team's decision not to attempt to bring charges against the president as in keeping with the Justice Department's policy prohibiting that.

"Charging a president with a crime was, therefore, not an option we could consider," Mueller said Wednesday.

Parents sue city, and The NYDOE after Bronx teen Mya Vizcarrondo ‘bullied into sex’ jumps off building to her Death!
The parents of a Bronx teen who was bullied into performing sex acts on two boys at school — then went home the same day and jumped off her roof — are suing the city and DOE, claiming her suicide could have been prevented, according to a new lawsuit.
Tragic 16-year-old Mya Vizcarrondo had been enduring abuse at school for months previously, says the Bronx Supreme Court suit.
The teen enrolled at Harry Truman HS in September 2017 and immediately became a target, according to the suit.

“The employees of Harry S. Truman had actual notice of the intimidation but failed to intervene,” says the suit, filed by lawyer John Scola.
Scola said Vizcarrondo was forced into sexual conduct with other students and that staffers were aware of the disturbing situation — because she told them.
One student in particular, referred to in the suit only as Vivianna D., zeroed in on Vizcarrondo with constants body-shaming attacks, court papers state.
Unable to endure the torment, the honors student’s attendance began to wane toward the end of 2017, according to the suit.

Concerned about her worsening demeanor, her parents, Heriberto Rios and Nelly Vizcarrondo, met with a guidance counselor in January 2018 — just weeks before her death, the papers state.
But the staffer – along with Principal Keri Alfano – failed to relay the severity of Vizcarrondo’s abuse, court papers state.
When the girl complained to school personnel directly, she was told they would investigate and instructed was to return to class, according to the suit.
The day before her suicide, a friend of the teen told a counselor that she was concerned for her well-being.
The counselor talked to Vizcarrondo that same day — but never informed her parents about their conversation or that they should perhaps monitor her state with extra care, papers state.
“The guidance counselor saw and willfully ignored the signs that M.A. V-R was suffering severe emotional pain and depression as a result of the bullying she was receiving at school,” the suit states.
Then the morning of Feb. 28, 2018, she had been forced to perform a sex act on two boys at school and was brutally teased after the incident by sneering classmates, the court case states.
Unable to absorb yet another humiliation, the despondent child quietly left school early and headed for her mother’s home. Her parents were unaware she had left the high school.
Still wearing her backpack, Vizcarrondo stepped over the ledge of the roof of her mother’s 34-story apartment building at 2:02 p.m. and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital soon after.

The day after her suicide, the female student, Vivianna, was transferred out of Truman, according to the suit. The guidance counselor was fired soon after.
“The tragic circumstances surrounding my client’s death could have been prevented,” Scola said in a statement. “We hope that this case will cause the New York City Department of Education to reevaluate their policies and properly train their employees on issues related to bullying so that no student feels so hopeless they feel suicide is the answer. We hope that this case will prevent helpless students from taking their own lives in the future.”

“This was a tragic loss, and students deserve safe and supportive school environments,” said DOE spokesman Doug Cohen. “We recognize the deep impact bullying can have, and schools are required to immediately investigate and address any allegation.”

Gabrielle Union Stuns in Breathtaking Swimsuit Shots While on Greek Vacay with Dwyane Wade
Gabrielle Union is giving Dwyane Wade a pretty good reason to stay retired, as she is serving up some sexy photos during the couple’s romantic getaway.

The “L.A.’s Finest” star put her athletic body on display during their “Wade World Tour 2019,” which the actress has dubbed for the retired NBA star’s first vacation after hanging up his sneakers.

Union was feeling herself in an array of swimsuits while Greek isle hopping, including a little teal number. She also showed off her backside in a string bikini alongside a caption stating her age of “46.”
We’d have to agree, but also add that she looks fantastic for pretty much any age.

Cardi B Spends $80K On Jewelry For Daughter Kulture ‘If I’m Iced Out My Daughter Gotta Be Too’
Cardi B is spending some of her hard-earned money on her daughter. While Kulture is waiting to bring in her first birthday, her famous mom splurged and bought her diamonds! $80,000 worth to be exact.
From bracelets to diamond studs, Cardi B, who welcomed Kulture last year with husband Offset, gave her 10-month-old daughter the best. She initially posted nine (yes, nine) tennis bracelets and a screenshot of text messages from her jeweler, Pristine Jewelers. She quickly deleted the post. But a screenshot reveals the text messages read,

“Everything will be ready at 3, bracelets are Comin out cuteeee and changed the setting to the studs with the bigger pair, send ur guy at 3…also pls call Linda and tell her to wire the 80k, I just spoke to her she needs ur approval.”

Cardi also added the caption,“Just spent a bag on my daughter, you know a bad b**ch gonna spoil haa. @pristine_jewelers. If I’m iced out my daughter gotta be too. YEUP IM BRAGGING CAUSE I BUST MY A** TO DO SO.”

It’s safe to say Cardi is spreading her love in more ways than one. She opened up about experiencing mommy guilt when she has to part ways with her daughter for work.
“I do experience that mom guilt, you know? She’s here, but it makes me sad sometimes because it’s like, ‘Oh my gosh, all that traveling.’ I know her sleeping schedule is getting a little messed up … every single time that she gets on an airplane, it’s all good until the landing. She starts crying, and I just be feeling so sad because I know the pain, you know, when your ears pop. And sometimes I wake up in the morning and she’s in my bed and I just want to cuddle and [I can’t.] It is getting harder because she knows me. She recognizes more now and that’s, like, you can just tell she wants me to be there. Sometimes, when she sees me leaving, she looks up and goes, “B***h, where you going?’”

LOL!

'The Chi' Showrunner Says Lena Waithe Knew About Jason Mitchell’s On-Set Misconduct
Jason Mitchell has been unceremoniously fired from ‘The Chi’ in addition to the upcoming Netflix movie Desperados as a result of sexual misconduct allegations.
‘The Chi’ creator Lena Waithe maintains she was only made aware of the allegations after season one stopped filming, however showrunner Ayanna Floyd maintains that everyone — including Lena — was well aware of Jason’s alleged misbehavior.

via THR: While Mitchell’s termination from Desperados was the impetus for all that followed, sources claim his conduct had been a problem for at least two actresses on The Chi. More than one person on the show — including Tiffany Boone, who played Mitchell’s character’s girlfriend, Jerrika, and second-season showrunner Ayanna Floyd — filed a complaint. Despite HR training, these sources say, the alleged conduct persisted and Boone asked to be released from the series. But Mitchell was to remain for a planned season three, sources say, despite Waithe’s activism on the subject of on-set safety. “I’ve been very involved in Time’s Up and that movement, and for season two, we’re making sure that women feel safe,” Waithe told The Hollywood Reporter in June 2018. “[I]f you want to play that game and be disrespectful or misbehave on set with an actress or anyone, I’ll happily call Showtime and say, ‘This person has to go,’ and you will get shot up and it’ll be a wonderful finale.”

So why didn’t Mitchell’s character go down in a volley of onscreen bullets? While Waithe has not been the showrunner handling day-to-day duties, she has credits as creator, producer and sometime writer. A source close to Waithe says she was made aware of Mitchell’s alleged harassment only after the first season wrapped. The Chi’s season one showrunner, Elwood Reid, declined to comment, but a source close to him says he was unaware of conduct issues. (Boone did not make a complaint until after work had wrapped.) Concern for on-set conduct, the source continues, was among the reasons Waithe pushed for a woman of color (Floyd) as showrunner for the second season. Still, this person initially stated that Waithe did not know the alleged conduct had continued.

In a statement to THR, Floyd directly challenges Waithe. “When I took the helm in season two, it was Lena who informed me of the issues between Jason Mitchell and Tiffany Boone from season one, and that Tiffany was thinking of leaving the show because of it,” says Floyd. “As a result of this information, I discussed Tiffany’s claims with the studio’s HR department and set up HR presentations for the writers, cast and crew. Ultimately, everyone was well aware of Jason’s behavior and his multiple HR cases, including Lena, the creator and an executive producer of the show, who is very involved at the studio and network level.”

Adds Floyd, “As showrunner, I did everything I could to deal with his behavior, by speaking with the studio’s HR department multiple times and instructing one actress to call HR herself, before I became a target of his rage and inappropriateness, and had to report him to HR, as well.”

In her own statement, Waithe focuses only on Boone, saying: “I think Tiffany is a wonderful actress and an extremely brave woman. I wish her nothing but success in the future. I look forward to getting back to work on season three.” Told of Floyd’s statement, the source close to Waithe said the showrunner did inform Waithe of the ongoing conduct but said she would handle it. (Though Mitchell was the best-known actor on the show, plans for another season are in place and writers are figuring out how to handle the disappearance of his character. Floyd is not returning.)

As for Showtime, a source close to the situation maintains that issues on the show are the domain of production entity Fox 21, and that executives learned only after Mitchell was terminated that at least one other actress besides Boone had allegedly experienced issues with him. This person says Mitchell was allowed to remain, following an HR complaint, because the belief was that he was entitled to a second chance. How that squares with the initial decision to keep him for the third season despite the apparent lack of improvement in his conduct is not clear. Showtime declined to comment, as did Fox 21, which handled not only the HR complaint but the negotiation involving Boone’s departure. Mitchell could not be reached for comment.

Mitchell’s ouster from The Chi followed the decision to fire him on Desperados. Sources say the actor began making actresses uncomfortable almost as soon as he arrived in Mexico, where the film is now shooting. Desperados, a comedy about a group of young women who make a frantic dash to Mexico hoping to delete an embarrassing email that one had sent to her new boyfriend, is being produced by the Lionsgate label Good Universe. Anna Camp and Nasim Pedrad star.

Multiple sources say Mitchell made what one described as highly inappropriate remarks to two actresses in the film while lingering close to their quarters. “There were two incidents in four days,” says an insider. Netflix did a “quick but thorough” investigation by phone and the producers were given the green light to do what they thought necessary. Another insider says despite anxiety about possibly upsetting Netflix, Mitchell was terminated and replaced by Lamorne Morris.

Mitchell seems to have had some troublesome encounters in the past. While shooting Kong: Skull Island in Honolulu, a source says he was involved in a bar fight severe enough that he required medical attention. A chipped tooth was repaired and he had broken blood vessels in one of his eyes in the latter part of the film. The actor was assigned a minder and warned to stay out of bars. Though Mitchell did not heed that warning, he still performed professionally, this person says, adding, “He comes from a very tough background.. .. I found him to be incredibly sweet, gifted and talented, and I found it to be super sad, what has happened.”

This whole thing is a MESS.

Steve Harvey Leaves Finals Show in an 'Unfriendly' Exit, Reportedly Blames Staff for Show Cancellation
As you know, Steve Harvey’s daytime talk show, ‘Steve,’ has been canceled. According to reports, the host wrapped his final episode and dipped — without any word or acknowledgement of his former staff.
via Radar Online: As RadarOnline.com has learned, the star just filmed the final episode of his syndicated daytime talk show, Steve, and has already moved on – not returning any of his former staff’s calls or emails.

“Steve is the King of being not grateful. He filmed his last show on Thursday and by Friday he had already moved on,” a source told Straight Shuter.
In his podcast, “Straight Shuter: Naughty But Nice,” Rob Shuter spills details about Harvey’s unfriendly show exit.

“Steve didn’t know many of his staff’s names, so he didn’t have many to forget,” said the insider. “The few staff who have his email and contact number have already been deleted and the one or two farewell notes he received were not returned.”

Radar readers know Harvey’s show was canceled because he was too cheap to hire any real talent! Now, Kelly Clarkson is taking over his time slot.
“After a show gets cancelled its usual for the host to take the crew and producers out to say thank you and goodbye. However, with Steve it’s out-of-site, out-of-mind. He will be blaming them for getting bumped,” said the source.
As if that wasn’t enough NBC is quickly replacing Harvey, 62, with Melissa McCarthy as host of Little Big Shots!

After he sent his former crew that not-so-nice memo, this doesn’t surprise us one bit.

Elton John Called A "Coward" Over Music Exec's 'Rocketman' Portrayal
The son of music publisher Dick James is firing back at Elton John for the way his father is portrayed in John's upcoming Rocketman biopic.
Stephen James called out John in a new interview with Express, saying John's depiction of his music publisher father amounted to a "character assassination."

"He's basically a coward," Stephen said. "He's never been able to express his emotions properly, certainly not to me. I don't understand why he seems to feel the need to try to destroy everybody who helped him. We only ever tried to do the best for him and promote his career. I really am very upset that he has turned on people in this way."

He says Rocketman's portrayal of his dad as a stereotypical, old fashioned, thug-like music executive came out of nowhere. It's the opposite of the kind, polite, patient man Dick James really was.
"It's rather upset me because my father was a nice guy," Stephen said. "Elton's own father had run off and wasn't around. He treated my father at the time as very much a father figure, and my father treated Elton very much as if he was a son. He gave him advice. He was always helping him. My father would always be there."

Actor Stephen Graham plays Dick James in the film, which opens in the U.S. this Friday.
Dick signed John and lyricist Bernie Taupin in 1967 after hearing their demo tapes. Later, he helped John become a superstar performer in his own right.
But in the mid-'80s, John and Taupin sued Dick for the right to their music, claiming the contract they signed in the '60s wasn't valid because they were both under 21 years old at the time. Eventually the case was resolved with Dick retaining rights to the music, but John and Taupin awarded royalties.

Dick died in early 1986.

Viola Davis Says White Women Need To “Get To Know” The Struggles Of Women Of Color: “When You’re Educated About Anything, Your Perspective Changes.”
Viola Davis says if white women want to help and understand the challenges women of color face, all they have to do is “get to know [them].”

Davis is an award-winning actress who frequently steps outside of her career as a performer to educate and promote awareness of social issues that affect women and people of color. When it comes to facing adversity within any professional setting, women have a much tougher battle to fight than men. But those challenges are greatly increased if you are a woman of color. While Davis acknowledges that all women face issues, she also mentions the privilege white women possess.

Davis sat down for an interview with human rights activist #ZainabSalbi as a part of a new Yahoo! News series called “Through Her Eyes.” When asked what Davis would say to white women who want to be educated and make a positive change in the world for women of color, Davis says they should “Get to know me.” “Know that my journey is different than your journey,” she continued. “But we’re in it together. We really are. When someone is suffering through something, you gotta take it very personally.”

“Sometimes privilege is seen very differently,” Davis said. “Sometimes, for instance, beauty and how femininity is seen. The sort of ‘damsel in distress’ and the woman that needs to be saved sometimes does not have the face of a woman of color.” Davis says having knowledge is a key factor in making positive change. “I think that when you’re educated about anything, your perspective changes.”

Is Kylie Jenner: Gearing Up to Elope with Travis Scott?
Reports have said that Kylie Jenner wants Travis Scott to knock her up again, but on purpose, this time.
But before any of that, she is said to have one thing on her mind. Kylie wants to marry Travis, and she's even willing to elope and leave her family cut out of the nuptials if that's what it takes. RadarOnline claims that there's more on Kylie Jenner's mind than just a desire to marry Travis Scott.
She's apparently so eager to tie the knot with him that she's giving real consideration to eloping.
"It burns away at Kylie that they had Stormi out of wedlock," an insider claims. That's news to us, and Kylie is one of multiple Kardashian siblings who's had a kid without ever putting a ring on it.

But apparently Kylie wants to do things differently ... now that she and Travis are in a really good place.
The source acknowledges that Kylie could have had a shotgun wedding with Travis in late 2017, "but at the time their relationship was shaky."
"And then," the insider adds. "Things got pushed onto the back burner."
The source explains that they avoided nuptials "because they couldn’t figure out a prenup agreement that suits them both."
Prenups are complicated but absolutely vital -- for tons of marriages, but especially when one party is mildly rich and the other is a billionaire.
Protect your assets and protect your future, no matter how you feel in the moment. It's common sense, people.
There was also a little bump in their relationship that was reported as more of a cheating scare than an actual scandal.

"Kylie got anonymous messages from a woman claiming to be Travis’ side piece,” the insider recalls.

“The woman had no proof," the source quickly notes. "But Kylie flipped out."
That was in the midst of one of Tristan Thompson's cheating scandals, so the woman's unsubstantiated claim hit really close to home.
Hey, seeing your friend's baby daddy cheat can make anyone a little insecure.
These days, they're in a better place and feeling much more secure in their relationship.
And it turns out that another celebrity couple had a big influence on her.
"She loves what Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas just did," the source expresses.
Notably, the Game of Thrones alum and the former hottest Jonas Brother had a relatively simple surprise wedding in Las Vegas.
"And," the insider reveals, Kylie "is brainstorming something similar."

"This won’t be a family-planned event though," the source warns. "As Kylie sees herself above the whole KUWTK circus these days."

"Kylie thinks KUWTK has run its course,” a previous insider reported to RadarOnline.
“She is just so busy with Kylie Cosmetics," the source claimed. "That she doesn’t have time to deal with the long hours it takes to film."
We imagine that, even with Travis and the money to buy a small army of caregivers, being a mom didn't free up much of Kylie's schedule, either. "She is just really over all of it," the insider concluded.
Once you've raked in a billion dollars and given birth to a child, appearing on camera -- as you've been doing since you were a kid -- seems less important.
Now, we have to emphasize that this report cannot be confirmed.
It reports upon what are allegedly Kylie Jenner's private thoughts.

We should acknowledge that, even if she feels "over" her family's show, it is still linked to her brand and, therefore, to her beauty empire.

It may be in Kylie's best interests to make sure that her wedding is a picture-perfect reality TV special.

Cardi B To Release New Single "Press" This Week Is the cover an Ode to a Famous Serial Killer?
Cardi B is back with more heat. The entertainer announced Monday (May 27) "Press" will officially drop on Friday (May 31). The news also arrived with an image of Cardi sitting pretty in a courtroom with handcuffs,  inspired by infamous serial killer Aileen Wuornos.

Wuornos, a former sex worker, was sentenced to death after being convicted for the murders of seven men between 1989 and 1990. The Michigan native maintained her innocence, claiming she killed the men in self-defense after they raped or attempted to rape her. Her infamous trial was highlighted in Hollywood when Charlize Theron portrayed the infamous figure in the 2003 film, Monster.

There might be more layers to the track as the award-winning artist mentioned the official cover art will drop on Friday. Cardi previously released a teaser of the single in December 2018, racking up millions of views on Instagram.
Fans longed for the full release but instead, we've been treated to singles like "Money," "Please Me" with Bruno Mars and guest spots like "Wish Wish" on DJ Khaled's latest project, Son of Asahd.

Enjoy a teaser of the track on a 2-minute loop HERE
