POSE Actress Indya Moore is the first transgender woman to cover Elle Magazine US!
“Pose” star Indya Moore is the first transgender woman to land the cover of Elle Magazine. The actress and model appears on the cover of Elle’s June 2019 issue.
The 24-year-old told Elle that her parents were confused when she was assigned male at birth but acted feminine as a child.
“Because I was assigned male at birth, they expected me to be masculine or to perform the way they thought young boys should perform. And I did not. They didn’t understand. They had never experienced what it was like to have a family member who was genderqueer,” Moore says.
Moore left home when she was 14 years old. She revealed that she became the victim of sex trafficking when she was a teenager. She says when she was 16 years old she was contacted by people on Facebook who offered her money for hormone therapy in exchange for sex.
“They told me that they had a lot of friends who were trans and they wanted to help me in my process, and that they could help me to get the money that I needed to be a woman,” the star recalled. “They told me that all I had to do was play with these men who will come in for a moment to see me and play with me and then they’ll give me money,” Moore says.
Moore agreed and participated several times. She says she “didn’t understand” what sex trafficking was at the time.
She received her big break on Ryan Murphy’s “Pose” as the beautiful prostitute Angel who falls in love with one of her clients, Stan Bowes (Evan Peters), who works in Trump Tower. Moore told Elle she knew the role would be groundbreaking for her.
“I just knew my life was going to change. I knew I had a chance to teach the world something that would help more people to be safe,” Moore says.
“Pose” season two returns on June 11 at 10 p.m. on FX.

Kawhi Leonard’s shot looked short. And it was. His baseline shot as the fourth quarter expired hit the side of the rim. It didn’t look like the ball would go in. It looked like overtime. But then the ball bounced around the rim three more times — it seemingly took forever — and fell in.
The Raptors defeated the Sixers 92-90 on Sunday and advanced to the Eastern Conference finals where they will face the Milwaukee Bucks. Game 1 is Wednesday in Milwaukee (8:30 p.m. TNT).
After 48 minutes and four quarters of Game 7 between Philadelphia and Toronto in this semifinal series, the Raptors were two points better than the Sixers because of Leonard, who finished with a game-high 41 points.
In 135 Game 7s in NBA history, Leonard is the first to win the game on a buzzer-beater.
It was not a beautiful game, but it was hotly contested. The defense was stifling, the points hard to come by, the stakes high and the environment tense.
Philadelphia’s Jimmy Butler tied the score at 90-90 with a driving layup following a missed Leonard free throw. The Raptors called timeout and ran a play for Leonard.
The Sixers defended the play and forced Leonard into a difficult shot. On a night when the offense struggled against superior defense, Leonard had just enough.

#RHOA: NeNe Leakes Offers Updates on Marriage and Husband's Health, But Avoids 'RHOA' Talk
NeNe Leakes was all smiles at the Associates for Breast and Prostate Cancer Studies' Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon in Beverly Hills on Thursday, where the organization honored her with their “Woman of Achievement” award for her cancer advocacy work. The event benefits the John Wayne Cancer Institute at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Burbank, California. The organization has raised millions of dollars for cancer research since its launch in 1990.
"I couldn't even believe that said, 'NeNe Leakes,' OK?" the 51-year-old gushed to the folks over at ET about the honor on the red carpet. "Like, what you saying about me? It means a lot to me, it really, really does. You know, as you know, my husband, [Gregg], was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and ever since then, we have been all over this whole cancer thing, because it was devastating to our family. But, I'm happy to say today that Gregg is much better. We don't know that he is free of cancer, but he’s much better."
Gregg’s cancer battle put a strain on his and NeNe’s marriage, which was well documented on season 11 of the Bravo hit. At one point, NeNe admitted to considering a second divorce from her husband. Today, though, NeNe says she and Gregg “are doing good.”
"Now, there are people who do not understand what a caretaker role is, or they just didn't understand I was frustrated,” she admits. "'Why are you frustrated? You're not the one with cancer!' But, you know, I was frustrated because I was a caretaker, and being a caretaker's hard. It's one of the roles, where you don't get any shine for that. You just be a caretaker and shut up!"
The frustration came through on RHOA, especially at the season 11 reunion. The tension between NeNe and all of her co-stars was evident on screen, with even host Andy Cohen appearing to get agitated. When ET asked NeNe how she felt about that reunion and her co-stars today, her representative intervened. ET has chosen to include the moment in our coverage after learning that NeNe’s team streamed the interview in-full on Instagram live. The clip has since circulated on Twitter and Instagram.
But, judging by her attitude on the carpet, the fun, bright NeNe fans first fell in love with on RHOA is back, and fully reinvested in her marriage.
"Gregg is doing great," she notes. "He took a body scan, I think, two days ago, a PET scan, to see if there is any cancer in his body, if it has spread anywhere, and he'll get the results next week. Fingers crossed, I know he's good. He looks good. He lost weight and the way he lost, it looks amazing on him. So, I know he's good."

#HipHopNews: Young Thug Targeted In Drive-By Shooting
Young Thug was reportedly targeted during a drive-by shooting in Miami on Friday morning (May 10).
Multiple witnesses tell TMZ that the rapper was riding in a Ferrari alongside two party buses carrying members of his team around 6 a.m. when someone pulled up next to them and opened fire. Two men and one woman who were on the buses were taken to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
Thug escaped injury, but witnesses say he was on the scene when shots were fired. However, sources close to him say he had left the party at LIV Nightclub an hour prior to the shooting and was en route to the Miami Beach Hotel. Cops are now investigating.
Prior to the shooting, Thug had performed at LIV on Thursday night. He is scheduled to perform at Rolling Loud in Miami on Saturday.
Earlier this week, Thug’s collaborator Offset was recording at an Atlanta studio when someone opened fire. He was not harmed during the drive-by shooting, but sources believe he was the target.
Rihanna Makes History With LVMH/Fenty Partnership
PARIS, FRANCE – Pop culture behemoth and fashion icon Rihanna and LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton are uniting to bring the world luxury fashion maison Fenty.
The 31-year-old recording artist born Robyn Fenty, who hasn’t released an album since 2016, will become the first woman to create an original brand at LVMH as well as the first Black woman to ever lead a fashion house at the brand. It’s also the first new house created by LVMH since Christian Lacroix in 1987.
LVMH announced the news Friday (May 10) after rumors of a potential deal between both parties began to swirl in January, the New York Times reports. The first looks from Fenty’s impending collection are expected to be unveiled in
the coming weeks. It will include ready-to-wear pieces, shoes and accessories.
To put Bad Gal RiRi’s latest move into perspective, the house of Fenty will be among historic brands such as Dior, Givenchy, Celine and Fendi.
“Everybody knows Rihanna as a wonderful singer, but through our partnership at Fenty Beauty, I discovered a true entrepreneur, a real C.E.O. and a terrific leader,” Bernard Arnault, the chairman of LVMH, added.
“Designing a line like this with LVMH is an incredibly special moment for us,” the pop mogul said in a statement. “Mr. Arnault has given me a unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits. I couldn’t imagine a better partner both creatively and business-wise, and I’m ready for the world to see what we have built together.”
Rihanna’s astute business moves outside of the music industry have produced her diverse cosmetics line Fenty Beauty, lingerie brand Savage x Fenty and athleisure collection Fenty x Puma, which made its debut at New York Fashion Week in 2017.
She is one of the forerunners of the industry whose brands represent diversity and inclusion. Her beloved Fenty Beauty line, with its assemblage of 40 varied shades, reportedly garnered over $100 million in its first 40 days of operation. When Savage x Fenty launched last year, it was praised for embracing all body shapes.
Rihanna is known for her contemporary fashion and is someone many look forward to seeing at the Met Gala every year (though she was noticeably missing from this years).
In 2014, she was awarded the Fashion Icon Award by the Council of Fashion Designers of America Fashion Awards.

Kayne West & Kim Kardashian Welcome Their 4th Child
Kim Kardashian took to social media on Friday (May 10) to reveal the happy news that their fourth child — a baby boy — was born without a scratch on his head.
“He’s here and he’s perfect!” the 38-year-old star said of the newborn delivered by a surrogate.
She also made note of the family resemblance tweeting, “He’s also Chicago’s twin lol I’m sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her.”
The newest addition joins siblings North, Saint and Chicago.
The surrogate hired to carry Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s fourth child has reportedly gone into labor. According to TMZ, the famous couple was at the hospital on Thursday night (May 9) with the surrogate.
Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner was blindsided with the news while taping an episode of The Ellen Show. She had no idea the surrogate was prepping for delivery.
“I surprised @KrisJenner with 6 of her grandchildren,” Ellen wrote on Twitter. “Then I surprised her with one more. Sending love to you, @KimKardashian and @KanyeWest! @kourtneykardash.”
Although ‘Ye and Kardashian were in the delivery room for the birth of Chicago, their third child, it’s unclear if they will be in the room this time. The woman who they brought on board to carry Chicago was unavailable to carry the new baby boy — only because she just gave birth to her own child less than 12 months after delivering Chicago.
The newest addition to the family joins his older siblings Chicago, Saint and North.
Pua Magasiva, 'Power Rangers' actor, dies aged 38
New Zealand actor Pua Magasiva, best known for his role in "Power Rangers" and as a long-running star of the country's soap opera "Shortland Street," has died aged 38, his production company confirmed.
Magasiva played the Shane Clarke, the Red Wind Ranger, in "Power Rangers Ninja Storm" -- the 11th television installment of the popular superhero franchise.
Police were called to an address in Wellington on Saturday morning (local time) and found his body, according to media reports in the country. Cause of death has not been revealed.
The Samoan-born actor had also starred as nurse Vinnie Kruse in hundreds of episodes of "Shortland Street," one of New Zealand's most popular soaps.
He began the role in 2003, at the height of his fame, and has starred in the show since his return in 2012.
"We are all absolutely devastated at the tragic news regarding Pua Magasiva," the soap's production company wrote on social media Saturday.
"Pua was a much loved member of the South Pacific Pictures' family for many years and our hearts and thoughts go out to Pua's family at this time," they added.
Magasiva had made some of his earliest appearances on the same show years before, with minor parts in the early 1990s. He also had parts in TV programs "Outrageous Fortune" and "Diplomatic Immunity" during his lengthy career.
His "Power Rangers" co-star Jason Chan added on Facebook: "Incredibly sad to hear that one of our ranger family is gone. It will never be the same again. PUA you will be so dearly missed. You were the center of energy on set and off. Always laughing, giggling and involved in practical jokes."
Magasiva married teacher Lizz Sadler last year.
#BoxOfficeNews: Avengers 'Endgame Picked off 'Detective Pikachu' at the Box Office!
Disney's Avengers: Endgame still captured the weekend's top spot over this Mother's Day weekend.
With an estimated $63 million, Avengers: Endgame topped the weekend box office for the third straight weekend in a row for a domestic cume that now stands at $723.5 million. Endgame is only the third film ever to top $700 million domestically as it topped Black Panther to become the third highest grossing domestic release of all-time.
Internationally, Endgame added another $102.3 million for an international cume that now stands at $1.76 billion and a global tally reaching $2.485 billion. The film remains the second highest grossing international and worldwide release ever, trailing Avatar both categories, though by just $302 million worldwide and $265 million internationally in what could end up a very tight race.
Finishing in second is WB's Detective Pikachu with an estimated $58 million. The adaptation of the 2016 video game of the same name, which itself was based on the popular Pokemon franchise, delivered what is now the largest opening weekend for a video game adaptation ever, topping 2001's Lara Croft Tomb Raider ($47.7m). Not only that, opening weekend audiences liked the film to the tune of an "A-" CinemaScore, which is only the sixth time a video game adaptation has scored anything higher than a "B". In fact, three of the previous "A-" CinemaScores went to WB's three previous Pokemon films and the other two "A-" scores went to Mortal Kombat and Rampage.
Looking ahead, should Detective Pikachu follow in the footsteps of previous video game adaptations, we're probably looking at a domestic run anywhere from $145-165 million. Outside that range on the high end, films such as Hitman, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life and Prince of Persia delivered 3x multiples, which would mean a domestic run closer to $175 million, but a performance closer to the likes of Rampage and The Angry Birds Movie seems a little more reasonable at this point, which would suggest a domestic run topping $160 million. However you look at it, we're talking about a film that will soon become the highest grossing video game adaptation of all-time domestically as it has already entered the top ten after just three days in release.
Internationally, Detective Pikachu delivered an estimated $103 million this weekend for a running overseas cume that now totals $112.4 million after opening in Japan last weekend where it has brought in nearly $13 million so far. The film's international performance is led by this weekend's opening in China where it has already brought in nearly $41 million. Additional openings include UK ($6.6m), Germany ($5.0m), Mexico ($4.97m), France ($4.8m), Australia ($3.5m), Korea ($3.2m), Italy ($2.8m), Spain ($2.2m), Indonesia ($2.14m) and Taiwan ($2.06m). The next major market release is Russia where the film will open on May 16.
UA Releasing's The Hustle finished in third with an estimated $13.5 million, which is just ahead of expectations for the comedy remake starring Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson. Opening day audiences gave the film a "B" CinemaScore while 72% of the crowd was female and 66% were under 35 years old.
Internationally, the film debuted in 36 locations with an estimated $13.7 million led by a $2.4 million opening in Russia. Additional openings include Germany ($1.8m), Australia ($1.8m) and the UK ($1.5m). Looking ahead, the film will open in Mexico on June 28 followed by July openings in France and Brazil.
Sony's The Intruder held on better than expected for a fourth place finish after dipping just -39% in its second weekend for a $6.6 million three-day. The film's domestic total now tops $21 million after ten days in release.
Rounding out the top five is Lionsgate's Long Shot, which also held on better than expected with an estimated $6.1 million three-day, dropping -37% in its second weekend. The romantic comedy has now grossed just shy of $20 million domestically.
Falling outside the top five is eOne and STXfilms's Poms, which debuted in 2,750 locations and could only manage an estimated $5.1 million. This is the second disappointment in as many weeks for STX, which saw their animated feature UglyDolls disappoint last weekend. Poms received a "B+" CinemaScore from opening day audiences and saw females make up 75% of the opening weekend crowd while 85% of the weekend audience was aged 25 or older.
The Tea Is! ‘Paternity Court’s Lauren Lake was intentionally excluded from Emmys speech By creator David Armour!
The “Paternity Court” creator’s Daytime Emmys speech that excluded host Judge Lauren Lake may have been intentional.
When the daytime series won for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program, creator David Armour took to the stage with the cast and crew and delivered a full acceptance speech but failed to acknowledge Lake. Social media erupted with disappointment and anger on behalf of Lake, who later addressed the bittersweet moment in a Twitter video.
“I just wanted you to know that I am fully aware of how upset you are that when ‘Paternity Court’ won the Emmy … I did not get a chance to speak to you from the stage,” she said. “I want you to know that I’ve already started some very serious conversations with my team, and we’re going to be meeting in the near future to discuss this further.”
Armour later apologized in a post on Facebook, writing, “Congratulations to the BEST! My sister from another mister, Lauren Lake on her well-deserved Emmy win! After stumbling through a speech and not mentioning the biggest reason ‘Paternity Court’ is a huge success, Lauren Lake, I have pledged to never again make fun of people who walk on stage with a written speech.
“…you are a dream and I hope we have the opportunity to work together and help families for many many more years to come! #FeelTerribleButGladWeWon.”
However, a source told the folks at Page Six that there was nothing accidental about Lake’s exclusion.
“He did that on purpose. It wasn’t an accident,” the source said. “He knew ahead of time that only one person could speak. He was going to dust her anyway.”
A spokesman for the National Academy of Television confirmed that nominees are told “long in advance” that there can only be one speaker no matter the size of the group.

The MOD Squad’s Julie Actress Peggy Lipton has sadly passed away.The star’s daughters Kidada and Rashida Jones announced in a statement in the Los Angeles Times on Saturday (May 11) that their mother had died. She was 72.
“She made her journey peacefully with her daughters and nieces by her side. We feel so lucky for every moment we spent with her,” Peggy‘s daughters say in the statement. “We can’t put all of our feelings into words right now, but we will say: Peggy was and will always be our beacon of light, both in this world and beyond. She will always be a part of us.”
Peggy rose to fame in 1968 when she starred in ABC’s hit crime drama The Mod Squad.
After marrying Quincy Jones in 1974, Peggy took a step back from the spotlight to raise their daughters. After their divorce in 1989, Peggy returned to acting starring in Twin Peaks.
Our thoughts are with Peggy‘s loved ones during this time.

Will Smith is all smiles on the red carpet at the premiere of Aladdin on Saturday (May 11) in Berlin, Germany.
The 50-year-old actor was joined by co-stars Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott as they brought their live-action Disney film to Germany.
Also joining Naomi on the red carpet was her husband Jordan Spence.
Earlier in the day, the cast stepped out for a press conference to promote the movie.

Former O.J. Simpson Prosecutor Chris Darden Withdraws From Nipsey Hussle Murder Case Citing Threats Against Him and His Family
Chris Darden will appear in court today alongside the man accused of killing Nipsey Hussle for the first and only time, saying he is withdrawing from the case in part because of the threats he has received for the defending the man.
Darden announced the decision on Facebook, writing, “After centuries of a history of black men hung from trees without trial, or after the thousands of cases of black men tried, convicted and executed without counsel … I cannot understand why in 2019 some people would deny a black man his 6th Amendment right to counsel of his choice. Or why defending such a man should invite threats not only against me but against my children too.”
He continued, “The right to counsel is … not only a constitutional right, it is a civil right as well. Just as they were in 1995-Cowards never change. These days these cowards don’t send letters instead they sit anonymously behind keyboards threatening a man’s mother and children. And some folks think that’s funny. It isn’t and I won’t ever forget it.”
Darden addressed his critics directly, saying, “To those who issued those threats to my children please pay close attention so there is no misunderstanding. Later. F**K YOU!”
He concluded by saying, “As for me, I continue to thrive. I continue to be loved. I continue to walk with kings. And I will continue my pursuit of fairness and justice on behalf of my clients and others charged with crimes. After 25 years some of them still haven’t learned : Their lies and threats will never deter me from my mission. Thank you again my good friends. The struggle continues. Thank you.”
As reported, Chris Darden had been on the receiving end of numerous threats since he made the decision to represent the man suspected of killing rapper Nipsey Hussle.
According to our sources, after he took the job, Darden received numerous threatening message on social media. The people writing the messages were pissed off he was representing Eric Holder.
Some of the messages Darden received include:
“C**n bastard I hope you die.”
“You a sell out garbage ass ni**a.”
“You a bitch.”
“Shame on you for taking on the Nipsey Killers case. You doing the entire culture a disservice.”
Darden’s daughter, Jenee, went on social media after her father took the case, saying she was “receiving vile comments and messages” since her father took the job.
“Like many of you,” she wrote, “I found out about my father’s involvement in the case while scrolling through social media. I was not prepared for this backlash that has triggered bad memories from the O.J. Simpson trial.”
Michael Jackson’s Son, Prince, Graduates College!
Prince Jackson is officially a college graduate, and the man who helped looked after him after the death of Michael Jackson was there to celebrate the milestone.
Prince received a degree in business administration Saturday at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. The ceremony was attended by his cousin, and former guardian, T.J. Jackson.
“Prince, it’s been a long road but you did it. Keep learning, keep growing and keep giving back! So so proud of you. I love you,” T.J. wrote alongside a photo of the two after the ceremony.
The 22-year-old son of M.J. also showed off his graduation ring, and showed off some graduation photos with his girlfriend, Molly.

Drake Reveals His Own Private Plane, Air Drake
Aubrey Graham, better known to the world as the Rapper, Drake, just posted a video of the unveiling of his very own private plan. It’s no secret that Drake likes to spend money, but this splurge is on a whole new level. For those who can afford to fly via private charter jets, Drake’s reveal just upped the bar on luxury flights and flying in style. Cardi B's New Fashion Nova Line Earned Over $1 Million With First-Day Sales
Cardi B's ventures into fashion is not that far off from being as successful as her music career. TMZ reports the "Bodak Yellow" rapper's second line with Fashion Nova outperformed her first, which sold out within minutes. Her latest made over $1 million in under 24 hours. Nova prepared themselves this time around, producing around five times as much stock for the clothing items.
Despite this increase in production, they're still reportedly struggling to meet the rabid demand for her new collection. Nasdaq even congratulated Cardi for the widely successful launch with a billboard in Times Square.
Cardi B welcomed the launch of her second collaboration with Fashion Nova with a huge concert event in Hollywood, inviting Lil Nas X to perform his No. 1 hit "Old Town Road" at the festivities.
