#RHOA: OH NO! Marlo Hampton Calls Kenya Moore a Clown!?!
Uh Oh? Marlo Hampton is clearly no fan of Kenya Moore, and the Bravolebrity has recently shown that in an Instagram post she’s since deleted.
The longtime friend of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” appears to have recently uploaded a throwback photo of herself and designer Max Azria to her Instagram page. And it included former “RHOA” peach holder Moore, although that’s not initially obvious.

“The man himself #MaxAzria” the initial Instagram post read. It also featured a massive clown emoji over Moore’s face.

When the screenshot was picked up by “RHOA” fan account @housewivesofatl, they included a photo from the event but still obscured Moore in the picture.
“I love Marlo PERIOD 😩🤣 #RHOA #MarloHampton (yes, I blurred out the photo on the right. If you’re smart you would know who it is lol…if not go google it)” they added in the caption.

A glimpse of an April 2018 tweet from Hampton reveals the photo was snapped at New York Fashion Week that year and Moore was indeed the third party in the picture. Hampton made her problems with Moore known at that time as well.
“You been in the industry all these years, but little ole Marlo’s Simply Marlo LLC got you invited to your first NYFW show, took you back stage to meet the designer Max Azria, used my car service and photographer to give you the #marlotta experience. #rhoa,” she said following Moore telling her off at the season 10 reunion that year.

As for Hampton’s present-day issues with Moore, Hampton is one of only two stars on “RHOA” — the other being Shamari DeVoe — that her longtime friend Nene Leakes did not unfollow. Leakes took issue with some of the cast’s opinions at the season 11 reunion taping the other week. She also rehashed her problem with Cynthia Bailey inviting Moore to her Seagram’s Escapes beverage launch without letting Leakes know her pal may show up.

So Hampton’s deeming Moore, whom she said on “Watch What Happens Live” last Sunday she doesn’t “have a relationship with,” a clown may indicate she’s Team Nene all the way.

#Empire: The Showrunner can Confirm Who Is Definitely Not in the Casket
Someone is poised to die at the end of Empire's fifth season, and the question weighing on everyone's mind has been who?

An ominous flash-forward in the season premiere saw Lucious (Terrence Howard) mourning the loss of a mystery person in a closed casket, setting the stage for an overarching mystery that has left us baffled so far. There have been few clues to go off of... until now.

Ahead of Wednesday's new episode, which finds the Lyon family back in control of Empire Records, Empire boss Brett Mahoney is offering up our biggest clue yet, revealing who definitely won't be in that coffin come season's end.
"It is not Cookie in the casket. It's also not Becky or Thirsty," Mahoney confirmed to TV Guide.

We weren't too concerned about Cookie — she is the heart and soul of the show, after all — but confirmation that the Lyon family matriarch is safe for now still comes as a huge relief. However, that doesn't eliminate Hakeem (Bryshere "Yazz" Gray), Andre (Trai Byers), or Jamal (Jussie Smollett) from the equation, meaning we might end up losing a different Lyon at the end of the season. Our vote is actually on Kinglsey (A.Z. Kelsey), the newest member of the family and Lucious' sworn enemy. Given what we've seen in the past, few are able to stand up against Lucious and live to tell the tale.

Although this latest clue definitely brings us one step closer to figuring out who will wind up six feet under this season, Mahoney said viewers won't find out exactly who it is until the finale, which is set to air later this spring. With the show doing away with its cryptic flash-forwards, the remaining episodes of the season will focus on catching up to that grim event, as mounting issues continue to test the Lyon family.

Wednesday's episode, titled "In Loving Virtue," will see things come to a head for Cookie and Lucious as they seize control of Empire Records and usher in a new era for the company. As teased in the video above, Lucious sets out to do away with the digital analytics that Kingsley favors for something different. According to Mahoney, this change of approach in how to run the family business will turn out to be a lot tougher than he could have anticipated.

"What he's gonna find is that Kingsley kind of damaged Empire, and because of the data mining scandal, they have to win their fans back and win their trust back," Mahoney said.
Cookie and Lucious' different approaches to how the family should rehabilitate Empire's shattered image will create a huge conflict for the already strained couple, who are still reeling over the dizzying reveal that Kingsley is Lucious' biological son. Those issues will be exacerbated by the return of Cookie's ex-lover, Damon Cross (Wood Harris).

"He's gonna be a thorn in the marriage of Lucious and Cookie," Mahoney teased.

This week's episode will also feature the return of Lucious' murderous, bipolar mother, Leah (Leslie Uggams), who we haven't seen since the end of Season 3. Her reemergence will force Lucious to look within and think about his actions on a critical level. It's all part of Empire's bid to return to its Seasons 1 roots, focusing on the complex dynamics of the Lyons and all the drama that comes with being part of this famous musical family.

The remaining episodes of Season 5 will also see the series try something completely new: take its talented cast of musicians on tour. Hakeem, Winter, and Jamal are set to hit the road in the coming episodes, which could explain Jamal's absence in the season's final two installments. Jamal was written out of the penultimate and finale episodes amid Jussie Smollett's recent legal issues, which has left many wondering about his future with the show. But whether or not this exit is permanent remains to be seen.

In the meantime, watch the drama unfold when a new episode of Empire airs Wednesday, March 20 at 8/7c on Fox.

#HipHopNews: Jay-Z’s ‘The Blueprint’ To Be Added To Library Of Congress
Jay-Z's classic 2001 album, The Blueprint, is currently only available to stream from your phone on TIDAL, but now there will be one more place to find the album—the Library of Congress.
On Wednesday (March 20), CBS reported that the Library picked 25 audio recordings to be inducted to the Registry. Along with Hov's magnum opus, songs by Earth Wind & Fire, music from the movie Super Fly and a recording of Robert F. Kennedy announcing that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had been killed are also included in this year's additions. In a statement, Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden explains why they chose these particular bodies of work.

"The National Recording Registry honors the music that enriches our souls, the voices that tell our stories, and the sounds that mirror our lives," Hayden says. "The Library of Congress and its many collaborators are working to preserve these sounds and moments in time, which reflect our past, present and future."
The Blueprint is Jay's sixth studio album and it featured production from a then mostly unknown Kanye West, as well as Just Blaze, Timbaland and The Trackmasters. The project, which is still ranked by many as one of the best hip-hop albums of all time, was both a critical and commercial success, and spawned hits like "Izzo (H.O.V.A.)," "Girls, Girls, Girls," and "Song Cry." Though it was released on the same day that the tragic events of Sept. 11 occurred, the project still debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and it went on to be certified double platinum.
In related Jay-Z news, the mogul is set to headline the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock festival alongside Chance The Rapper. The event will go down between Aug. 16-18 in Watkins Glen, N.Y. and will also feature acts like Run The Jewels and the Black Keys.

Congrats to Jessica Simpson as she Gives Birth, Welcomes Baby No. 3 With Husband Eric Johnson
Party of five! Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson welcomed their third child together, a baby girl named Birdie, on Tuesday, March 19.
“Birdie Mae Johnson. 3.19.19. 10 Pounds 13 Ounces,” she captioned her Instagram announcement.

The exciting news comes just two days after the singer, 38, shared a photo of her bare baby bump in a bikini on Instagram. “Jess-tation,” she captioned the pic.
Simpson  and Johnson, 39, are also parents of daughter Maxwell, 6, and son Ace, 5. The Dukes of Hazzard star announced in September that the couple were expanding their family.
“SURPRISE…” she captioned a photo of her two kids holding giant black balloons on September 18. In a second post, the fashion designer shared a pic of Maxwell and Ace surrounded by pink balloons.

“This little baby girl will make us a family of five,” Simpson wrote. “We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.”

An insider said that she and Johnson were “surprised but overjoyed” about having a third baby.
“Jessica and Eric are over the moon. They are so happy and very excited,” the insider told Us in September. “It’s fun because Ace and Maxwell are at an age where they understand what is happening. They are really cute waiting for their baby sister.”
While Simpson told Ellen DeGeneres in May 2017 that she had no plans to have a third child, she gushed exclusively to Us the following year about how much she loves motherhood.

“Being a mother is the best opportunity and challenge I’ve ever been blessed with in life,” she told Us in May 2018. “Right now my kids are in this amazing stage where I’m really listening to them without judgment and they’re teaching me so much. These little innocent kids teach me so much about life.”

The Broadway Play ‘Hamilton’ Casting Gets Dragged Into TV Company’s Discrimination Suit
Charter Communications, one of the largest cable operators in the nation, used the race of actors in the Broadway hit, Hamilton, as a defense to combat a discrimination lawsuit, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The television company was hit with a $10 billion lawsuit by Byron Allen, CEO of Entertainment studios in 2015. The Black executive claimed Charter refused to carry any content owned by his studio because of his race. The filing has survived a motion to dismiss and a review by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Attorneys for Charter filed a writ of certiorari to the Supreme Court to dismiss the suit on March 8. In the petition, they argued that the claim violated the company’s First Amendment rights and used Hamilton to support the positioning.

The musical, which debuted in August 2015, is a hip-hop infused telling of the life of American statesman, Alexander Hamilton. It was written by Puerto Rican lyricist, playwright and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda. The cultural juggernaut featured Blacks and Latinos portraying the Founding Fathers and their contemporaries. Hamilton won a Pulitzer Prize for drama in 2016. Despite the widespread recognition, it was also criticized for reverse discrimination for posting casting calls in search of “non-White” actors.

“A refusal to contract with a white actor to play George Washington cannot be made an antidiscrimination violation without profoundly undermining First Amendment values,” the law team stated.
Attorneys alleged that if Allen’s suit is allowed to move forward, White actors would also be able to sue Miranda for failure to cast them in Hamilton.

“[I]t would allow even an objectively terrible white actor to bring an action for being denied a part in Hamilton even if factors other than race would provide an obvious explanation for why the actor would not get a part as a Founding Father in the minority cast of Hamilton (or in any kind of cast for any other play),” the court doc read in conclusion. “Left in place, the Ninth Circuit’s reasoning will have a devastating chilling effect on the free speech rights of all speech platforms — from magazines, to websites, to bookstores and theaters — that select and promote speech originally produced by others.”

Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown Says his Goals are to ‘Recreate’ Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s Wedding
Big, bold and ongoing! Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown has his sights set on mirroring the wedding celebrations of Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas when it comes to his nuptials to fiancé Ian Jordan.

“Oh, I’ve been wedding planning! We haven’t given out the date yet but it’s getting way extravagant, out of hand,” the reality star, 38, exclusively told Us Weekly at the Us movie premiere in New York City on Tuesday, March 19. “I was telling people the other day that [my fiancé] has been having anxiety attacks because of the wedding planning, so I’ve just stopped telling him the details.”

Brown noted that the happy couple are expecting “around 350” guests to be in attendance for their life-changing event. “Let me tell you something, Priyanka and Nick Jonas are my goals,” the Texas native added with a nod to the Quantico alum, 36, and the 26-year-old “Chains” crooner’s multiple weddings. “I mean, I’m doing well financially, not as well as them, but I’m trying to figure out how can I recreate what they had because I loved it.”
Jonas and Chopra Jonas wed in December 2018 with a two-day event that included a Western ceremony in Mumbai, India, and a Hindu ceremony in Mumbai the following day. Two days later, the pair held a larger-than-life reception in New Delhi, India, and in did it all again in January 2019 in Belmont, North Carolina.
Brown, for his part, knows this once-in-a-lifetime wedding is something to be thankful for, and therefore wants to make it extra special. “We’re also seven years in since marriage equality was enacted, so I want to celebrate the strides we’ve made in our country and also my love,” he said.

The groom-to-be proposed to Jordan in May 2018 at HYDE in Los Angeles while they were celebrating the TV director’s 40th birthday. “You are the funniest man I know, the kindest man, my biggest cheerleader. You made me feel like I could do anything,” Brown told his love at the time. “I hope we can conquer the world together for the rest of our lives. Ian Lamont Jordan, will you marry me?”

The Cast of 'In Living Color' To Reunite 25 Years After Finale
The cast of In Living Color will reunite at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.

Over two decades after the show’s finale, creator Keenen Ivory Wayans along with cast members Shawn Wayans, Kim Wayans, David Alan Grier, Tommy Davidson, and Rosie Perez will reconvene to discuss the impact of the iconic show. There will also be a screening of the show’s pilot prior to the panel.
While the festival has previously celebrated film anniversaries and reunions, this is the first time Tribeca TV is celebrating television anniversaries.

“When some of the most cinematic storytelling continues to happen on screens of all sizes and shapes, we were particularly inspired this year by the scope, innovation, and accomplishment of the so-called ‘small’ screen,” Cara Cusumano, the festival’s director said in a statement.  “It’s a privilege to showcase these diverse works with a robust program that speaks to the limitless potential of the episodic form.”

The Tribeca Film Festival kicks off in New York City on April 24.

Kristoff St. John’s Official Cause of Death is heart disease combined with the effects of an accidental alcohol overdose
Actor Kristoff St. John died unexpectedly in February from heart disease combined with the effects of an accidental alcohol overdose, the Los Angeles coroner’s office has revealed, according to KCAL.

Friends of St. John, 52, best known for his role on The Young and the Restless, found his body Feb. 3 at his San Fernando Valley home, according to law enforcement. A source told TMZ at the time that there were no signs of foul play but that alcohol may have been involved.
St. John’s ex-wife, Mia St. John, speculated that his death may have been related to the death of their son Julian in 2014. Julian died by suicide while being treated at a mental health facility. The St. Johns sued the facility for negligence and eventually reached a settlement.

The soap opera star was also hospitalized and placed under psychiatric evaluation in 2017 after sending several photos of himself with a gun to his head to an ex-girlfriend. When police arrived at his home, they confiscated two guns and placed the actor under a 72-hour hold for mental evaluation.

#POLTICS: Florida Republicans Try to Restrict Restoration of Felon Voting Rights
Florida legislators passed a bill Tuesday that would limit the number of former felons who can vote, according to NBC News. The measure comes following approval of Amendment 4, which restored voting rights for state residents convicted of felonies, during the 2018 midterm elections.
More than 1.5 million Floridians regained the ability to vote. However, through the new GOP-backed proposal, former felons would be required to pay back all fines and court fees before they can register to vote. A stipulation that many critics, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York), said unfairly targets low-income residents who are primarily people of color.
Even if the former felons are on state-issued repayment plans, they will not be allowed to register to vote until they are entirely paid off.
Last year, Florida voters approved restoring voting rights to 1.5 million ex-felons.

A GOP-controlled House committee just approved a requirement that would force them to pay court costs (even if not sentenced to do so) before they can legally register to vote.
“What the barriers proposed in this bill do is nearly guarantee that people will miss election after election … because they cannot afford to pay financial obligations,” said Julie Ebenstein, a voting rights attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union. “It’s an affront to the Florida voters.”

The constitutional amendment, which 65 percent of voters approved, went into effect in January 2019. It states that previously convicted felons, excluding murderers and sexual offenders, would be able to vote “after they complete all terms of their sentence including parole or probation.”

“Keeping voters who can’t afford to pay their fees immediately, keeping them disenfranchised for additional years, decades, or for the rest of their life, is not what was contemplated by voters who passed this amendment,” Ebenstein said.
Desmond Meade, a former felon who helped to promote Amendment 4 on the November 2018 ballot with the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, said the measure is another hurdle for individuals like him.

“We are hopeful that improvements can be made to this bill that secure bipartisan support before it moves to the next committee,” Meade said in a statement. “After all, Amendment 4 passed with broad support from people all over the state and from all walks of life. Any legislation proposed should neither limit the rights created by Amendment 4 nor infringe upon the will of Florida voters.”

Black Canadian Singer Daniel Caesar Talks Race Relations, Calls American Black People "Too Sensitive"
OH THE COONERY!! Daniel Caesar went on Instagram Live (Tuesday) to share some social commentary on race relations. You can see it HERE
In an attempt to defend his problematic white industry friend, who’d recently been criticized for disrespecting black women in media Scottie Beam and Karen Civil, the 23-year-old Canadian crooner asked, “why are we being so mean to white people right now?”

He continues, “White people have been mean to us in the past, yeah, but what are you going to do about it? Tell me what you’re going to do about that? There’s no answer, other than creating and understanding and keeping it moving. You have to bridge that gap.”
Last week, Caesar and Dave Chappelle appeared on  John Mayer‘s Instagram Live show Current Mood, and the comedian called Caesar “very gay.” The singer commented on the encounter in his IG Live saying he’d been too sensitive.

He went on to opine that “being a victim” “doesn’t get you paid,” and that white people are “the winning team” that black people should emulate instead of condemn.
“Are we winning right now in the culture? Are we on top of society? We’re not,” he says. “You can’t win the game by choosing to not accept the winning team’s strategy,” he said. “You have to acknowledge the strategy and build a strategy on top of that.”

“I’ve said what I said before and y’all tried to cancel me, and I apologized like a bitch and I don’t believe in that shit,” he ranted. “I think you guys are wrong and I think I’m right. You can cancel me. I’m making music right now and you guys don’t have to listen to it.”

Not sure what this dude is smoking but he needs to STOP!
