#Empire: Taraji P. Henson to Be Honored with Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
After decades of putting in work on both the small and silver screen, Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

“Taraji P Henson is a powerful woman and a powerful actress. She is an entertainer that fans cannot take their eyes off of due to her great acting ability,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk Of Fame. “We welcome her bright star on our Walk Of Fame.”
During the ceremony, Henson will be flanked by her Baby Boy director John Singleton, as well as multi-hyphenate Mary J Blige—each of whom will speak at the ceremony, which is scheduled for January 28.

The 48-year-old Washington DC-native cut her teeth as an extra before landing her breakthrough role as Yvette in the BET movie night mainstay Baby Boy, alongside Tyrese Gibson and Snoop “Fuck Yo Fort, Lil Nigga” Dogg.
She followed that up with celebrated roles in David Fincher’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, the Will Packer-produced Think Like a Man, and breathed life into all that is Cookie Lyon in Fox’s musical drama “Empire”.

Next on her plate is What Men Want, a remake of Mel Gibson’s What Women Want that will arrive in theaters on February 9.
