#Empire’ Season 5 Trailer: Is Andre In Prison For Anika’s Death?
‘Empire’ season 5 is just a few weeks away, and the show just released a jaw-dropping first look. Andre may be paying for his crimes, while Hakeem and Tiana are nowhere to be found.
Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) and Lucious (Terrence Howard) are ready to take back what’s theirs. Empire returns for season 5 on Sept. 26, and the Lyons are going all out this time. They’re not going to let Eddie get away with turning the tables on the Lyons and trying to steal Empire. “You betrayed Empire,” Lucious tells Eddie. Cookie adds, “You always had a problem with keeping your paws out of the cookie jar.” YAS!
The Lyon matriarch and patriarch are putting on a united front, but all is not totally well. Andre (Trai Byers) appears to be in jail! In the final moments of the season 4 finale, Blake’s dad walked up to his son (Chet Hanks), Hakeem, Tiana, and baby Bella with a gun. He fired multiple shots, and the scene faded to black. No one knows who got hurt or who possibly died. We’re going to have to wait to find out. While Hakeem, Tiana, and Bella will likely survive — come on, it’s TAKEEM — their lives will likely never be the same.
#MusicNews: Danity Kane Members Announces DK3 Reunion Tour
Looks like the three Amigas from Danity Kane’s breakoff group DK3 have mended their issues.
Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, and Shannon Bex took to social media recently to announce the “The Universe Is Undefeated Tour.” Kicking off this September, the 16-date trek will make stops in major cities like New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.
DK3 disbanded in 2014 after a studio altercation – Dawn continued her solo endeavors while Aubrey and Shannon created a duo called Dumblonde.
“We have been through a journey of a lot of ups and downs, but on any journey it requires the people involved to not be willing to let go of each other and that’s what we’re on so, we’re super grateful to be back in each other’s lives,” Aubrey tells E! News. “To have survived the last round and truly come together as sisters and do it for ourselves and also for the fans.”
“The conversations started because I think Aubrey and I wanted to touch base cause we hadn’t in a long time and I think we both had [felt] like we needed to have that conversation,” adds Dawn. “We’re sisters at the end of the day and I think if you go through life you still remember like I really want a relationship with these girls even though you go through things, you really want that comradery and so Aubrey and I had a great conversation.”
Along with DK3 performing their hits like “Show Stopper” and “Damaged,” Dawn and Dumblonde will conduct individual sets.
“We’re actually doing a combination of our solo project which is Dumblonde, we have our second album coming out soon, so we’re doing a combination of our album,” says Aubrey. “Dawn is going to be doing her solo performances from her solo album and then together we’re going to come back together, DK3, and also be performing Danity Kane songs that all the fans love. So you’re getting the best of all of our worlds, solo worlds and group worlds.”
It’s possible that the trio could drop an album together in the future. “You never know,” Aubrey said when asked about new music. “They’d have to come to the show, but there will be new performances on the show.”
Tickets for “The Universe Is Undefeated Tour” are on sale now in select cities.

NEW YORK, NY – Hot 97’s Funk Flex is taking his beef with Cardi B to another level by claiming the platinum rapper paid for radio spins.
On Wednesday (August 15), the record-breaking rap star hopped on Instagram Live to address rumors she paid people to show her music love. The new mom explained her frustration with the rumors and how her career actually didn’t take off overnight.
In response to her video, Funk Flex responded to @leveluphiphop_’s repost of Cardi’s video, stating that she, in fact, did try to pay for radio spins.
“I think Cardi is a great entertainer and has great songs!” he wrote. “I gave my opinion when she said she was “King of NY” and when I found out she didn’t write her own songs! I met Cardi and her management and I respected his and Cardi’s hustle!

Happy birthday, #Madonna! Queen of Pop turns 60
Holiday! ... Celebrate! Madonna turns 60 today.
According to her Instagram feed, the Queen of Pop appears to be celebrating her milestone in Marrakesh, Morocco. But in the past year, she's made a major life change by moving herself and her four youngest children to Lisbon. As she told Vogue Italia earlier this year, "I like to put myself in uncomfortable situations and take risks."
Of course, that's pretty much what she's been doing her entire career.
"One of the things that always impressed me, personally, about Madonna, is how courageous she is," said Dr. Jason Hanley, vice president of education for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. "She could have just laid back on a comfortable thing with the dance music she had started in, but she found new ways of thinking about her music."
Born in Michigan, Madonna shot to superstardom three decades ago, and, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, is the best-selling female artist of all time. Always an original, Madonna has reinvented herself time and time again, pushing the envelope and challenging Hollywood norms.
"She innovated music videos ... she innovated world tours and live stage shows in ways that people had not done before -- these massive arena shows in the '80s," Hanley added. "I think so many people try to be like Madonna now. If you think of how many artists that are out there -- whether it's a Demi Lovato or even a Taylor Swift -- a lot of artists are trying to achieve that. And I think Madonna has served as an icon for so many artists for years."
As Hanley noted, Madonna, a mother of five, has gone from dance/pop provocateur to songwriter, producer, actress, director, businesswoman and humanitarian, having launched several schools in Africa through her non-profit, Raising Malawi.
Explaining her presence in the Hall, Hanley added, "Madonna is somebody who continued to be so productive and innovative over the years ... she really is somebody who pushed music forward."

Forever my President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama took to social media to pay tribute to the late “Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin.
Aretha passed away on Thursday in her Detroit home after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 76.
Barack Obama released an official statement on Aretha’s passing where he said we all were “graced with a glimpse of the divine” every time she sang.
America has no royalty. But we do have a chance to earn something more enduring. Born in Memphis and raised in Detroit, Aretha Franklin grew up performing gospel songs in her father’s congregation. For more than six decades since, every time she sang, we were all graced with a glimpse of the divine.
Through her compositions and unmatched musicianship, Aretha helped define the American experience. In her voice, we could feel our history, all of it in every shade – our power and our pain, our darkness and our light, our quest for redemption and our hard-won respect.

#RHONY’ Bethenny Frankel And Dennis Shields Were Still In Love When He Died Of A Drug Overdose
Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel is still grieving after the death of her on-again, off-again boyfriend Dennis Shields. Although they were not currently together, Shields was “very much in love with” Frankel when he died of an alleged Oxycontin overdose. They even spoke on the phone daily.
Gregory Broccoli, a friend of Shields, says that Frankel dumped Shields just days before he died, but that didn’t change how he felt about her.
“Yes, they were broken up, but they spoke every day, all the time,” revealed Broccoli. “She would be upset about something, and she would call him up. He consoled her. If she needed something, he always provided a solution.”
Fans of RHONY got to see Frankel and Shields’ bumpy relationship on a few episodes in recent seasons, and friends say that he only did the show for her. Apparently, Shields went along with it because it was something Frankel was a part of. And, the number one reason he was on the show was because he was in love with her.
Broccoli says that Shields did get “a kick” out of the reality show, and whenever someone brought it up in conversation, he would turn red and laugh because he was embarrassed.
Shields apparently knew that he wanted to be with Frankel forever, and insiders say that he proposed to her back in April. The 51-year-old banking executive gave Frankel a ring, but she didn’t wear it because they still had “some hurdles to overcome” before she could make that kind of commitment.
The SkinnyGirl mogul did love Shields, and he was her family, best friend, and confidante. He was also her “partner and business partner.”
Bethenny Frankel’s former Real Housewives of New York bestie, Carole Radziwill, extended condolences to the loved ones of Bethenny’s ex.
Frankel kept the proposal a secret and decided not to tell many of her friends because he had asked her to marry him before. However, this was the first time he had given her a ring. An insider said that Frankel “didn’t say no,” and she would have loved to have married Shields, but there were some things she needed to overcome first.
Bethenny Frankel attended Dennis Shields’ funeral on Long Island earlier this week, and afterward, she paid tribute to him on Instagram.

Omarosa Manigault Newman claims Donald Trump is trying to silence her after his campaign filed an arbitration, claiming she violated a non-disclosure agreement.
Manigault Newman, who has made a variety of salacious claims about the president in her new book, “Unhinged,” suggested the president was afraid of what she knew and would speak publicly about.
Omarosa called into the “Joe Madison The Black Eagle” on Sirius XM for an interview with the legendary radio host. The former White House staffer continued her narrative that she was “blind-sighted” by Trump, even though it was clear that he was a racist. For the last question, Joe Madison asked, “Has Donald Trump ever hit on you?”
Omarosa answered, “Uh, Donald Trump hits on all women — ”
Madison interjected, “Yeah, well, you are a woman. Has Donald Trump ever hit on you?”
Omarosa answered, “Yes, I’m included in that number of women who Donald Trump has said inappropriate things, has looked at inappropriately.”

Rihanna and Donald Glover Spotted in Cuba, Rumored To Be Shooting Movie “Guava Island”
A photo surfaced earlier this week of Rihanna and Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino and it appears the two have something dope brewing. Cuban magazine Vistar reports, that a movie tentatively titled, “Guava Island” is in the works. And although no details have been released about the movie, sources claim the film may also feature Letitia Wright of #BlackPanther and British actor Nonso Anozie.
The project is being directed by Hiro Murai, who is responsible for Gambino’s #ThisIsAmerica music video and several episodes of Gambino’s hit FX show, Atlanta.
No details or information have been confirmed from #Rihanna nor Donald’s teams so for now, all we can do is speculate and anticipate something amazing coming from these two superstars. Gambino was recently announced as a performer at Rihanna’s annual Diamond Ball this year. Stay tuned for what’s next!
Tamar Braxton Claims Delta Pilot Called Her The N-Word
Earlier this month Tamar Braxton leaked video of herself being harassed by a Delta pilot
Now, she is changing her tune and insisting that the situation was pretty traumatizing and even accuses the pilot of calling her the n-word in a lengthy Twitter rant.
That’s not what I asked you”. “It’s a yes or no question?”. I AGAIN responded ” “yes, of course,” did I do something? She then looked at my manager, and asked her, “are you recording this?” She says ” yes, because this is crazy. She then said ” ok.” And got the pilot.& LIED as if something REALLY happened. AGAIN, I was asked to remove my blanket, now the ENTIRE plane eyes are on ME. Now the pilot who later Using the term “you people”, acting out of order and further harasses and escalates the situation by not knowing what really happened. I cried and was shaking the entire 3 hours because I felt belittled and mistreated and let’s be honest humiliated.
The head flight attendant later came and apologies & says that the first attendant was wrong & so was her report and if there was ANYTHING she can do, she would help. That is when my manager said yes, she needs an apology ( which I NEVER received) she’s been upset this entire flight. The attendant came back 2 mins later and said the pilot would like to chat after we land. Will you leave the plane last? My manager says sure. Well we should have left because what he then said and DID was worse. I go to the cockpit for what I think is going to be a heartfelt I’m sorry. I thought you were the one who was trying to get off the plane story, It turned into “I asked her to go and see if you were drunk or high. Because In my experience “you people” put blankets over your head. after he quickly saw that my manager was taping he says “what the fuck are you Doing?!! Are you trying to start shit and put this on social media? “You people”do this all the time. I told him “at this point, you can keep your apology. The way you talked to me was hurtful and disrespectful and that I was just trying to get to my kid.” He said ” I don’t know who you think you are, but “you people” do this all the time. And run into my manager Who was talking to the attendant. He says while dropping his briefcase and undoing his tie, and is chest to chest with her says, you trying To put me on tape?” You people” are always trying to start some shit. As if he was going to fight HER!! She says ” I did put you on tape and What do you think you are doing?” The co pilot said “oh man” don’t do this”! Let’s go. The flight attendant shouted “what are you doing! The pilot picked up his bag walked past me and said “this is what these niggers do” they are all the same,” she posted.

She had absolutely pre judged me, because Of what she “thought” that she knew about me. She lied on me and said I was trying to deplane when it wasn’t me AT ALL. I NEVER got up after I got on the plane. I NEVER gave ANYONE a reason to question me or my conduct. She didn’t kno my flying history but took all of my rights As a costumer away just by noticing who I was & decided to treat me like I was hostile and in friendly. But what is more devistating Is your pilot that is a racist.And while that seems to be tolerated in this country lately,I never thought that I would feel like I was Spat on. It is very scary to have a pilot with that type of rage. With that kind of temper and horror that I witnessed. Who’s to say? That if he ever had a bad day, and was flying a plane what he would do to hundreds of innocent passengers. That is my concern It’s not About the public apology that I deserve especially after lying on me in your statement. It’s about making sure that your employees ALL of them, are willing to leave how they feel about celebrities and black people at home, and do their job. I still support delta However, the way that this was all handled was completely wrong.”

Stormy Daniels NOT In British ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, Reportedly Pulls Out At The Last Minute
Donald Trump can breathe a sigh of relief: Stormy Daniels, the porn star he is alleged to have had an affair with, has not entered Celebrity Big Brother in the UK.
Daniels was understood to have been the star turn in the latest season of the British reality series. However, despite reportedly flying to the UK and agreeing on a fee with the Viacom-owned broadcaster, Daniels, real name Stephanie Clifford, did not enter the Big Brother house.
According to reports, Daniels arrived for preliminary taping sessions for the show, which is produced by Endemol Shine’s Initial, but refused to enter the house after failing to agree to terms. Reports suggested that she initially had agreed a fee of close to $1M to appear on the monthlong shoot before backing out of that deal and agreeing to a lower amount of $250,000 to stay for one week.
Chanel 5 declined to comment on Daniels’ non-appearance.

Body of Pregnant Colo. Mom Allegedly Killed by Husband Is Found: He’s been arrested!
The body of Shanann Watts, the pregnant mother-of-two whose husband is accused of killing her, has been found, authorities said Thursday.
“We can disclose that her body has been located,” Frederick Police Department spokesman Sgt. Ian Albert said during a Thursday press conference.
Shanann Watts, 34, who was 15 weeks pregnant, and her children Celeste, 3, and Bella, 4, went missing on Monday from their Colorado home.
Colorado Bureau of Investigation director John Camper said at the press conference, “We have strong reason to believe that we know where the bodies of the children are and recovery efforts are in process on that.”
Camper added, “This is absolutely the worst outcome that any of us could imagine.”
On Wednesday night, the Frederick Police Department, working with the FBI and Colorado Bureau of Investigation, arrested Chris Watts, who had given multiple media interviews pleading for their safe return.
Chris Watts has been charged with three counts of murder in the first degree and three counts of tampering with physical evidence, according to a recording on the phone number for the Weld County Jail Thursday afternoon.
CBS Denver reported that Shanann’s family said in a statement, “It is with deep hurt, confusion and anger to confirm our beautiful cousin Shanann Watts, her unborn child, and her two angelic daughters, Bella (4), Celeste (3) were viciously murdered by husband Chris Watts; who confessed to the killings. Please keep Shanann’s parents and brother in your prayers.”
Multiple outlets, citing police sources, have reported the husband confessed, but police have not confirmed or denied such reports.
Chris Watts had previously expressed concern about his family, telling KUSA that he is “hoping right now that she’s somewhere safe.”
“Like, this house is not the same. Last night was traumatic,” he said. “Last night was — I can’t really stay in this house again with nobody here.”
It was not immediately clear if Chris Watts has an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
