Should Black Women Hate Stephon Clark since he allegedly Hated Black Women?😢😩😨

Should Black Women Hate Stephon Clark since he allegedly Hated Black Women?
Stephon Clark was shot in the back eight times by police officers who will most likely NOT be held liable for the murderous actions. His unjust killing motivated many to march and protest on his behalf, showing support and solidarity for his mourning family. However, many of those who were moved to join the movement are now second guessing their decision based off Clark’s biased against Black women.

All it takes is a quick perusal of Stephon’s social media accounts (@zoewoodz) and you’ll find he was very vocal about many aspects of his life, namely his kids and the mother of his children. But, Clark also posted other messages that showed he wasn’t fond of women who didn’t have fair skin.
Stephon’s baby’s mother (@_baelena), who happens to be of Asian decent, also posted questionable content, using the n-word and often getting the co-sign from Clark.
These tweets are now a cause of concern, especially for Black women who want to shed light on his unjust slaying, but want to scold him for his offensive behavior.

True, Clark didn’t deserve to be murder at the hands of the Sacramento Police Department, but isn’t true that Black women shouldn’t feel forced to stand-up and support a man that would never do the same for them? Shouldn’t these women get the chance to choose what causes they champion — even if it means sitting this one out? Or, is the overarching goal of police reform and dignity for our community more important than their self-preservation?

Moreover, there are more messages from Clark’s Twitter account that have many feeling conflicted…
Can you really hold these Tweets against Clark? It was most likely just a bit of social media stunting gone wrong. But, now these message will undoubtedly be used to tarnish his character. Where do we draw the line?

No matter what side of this debate you fall on we can all agree that until a major shift occurs, Clark will unfortunately not be the last to meet this fate. Let’s hope his death is not in vain.
