#RHoA: Kandi Burruss and Kenya Moore Fighting Over Making New Music with Erika Jayne?
The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kandi Burruss is an accomplished singer and songwriter, and has toured the world with her fellow bandmates from Xscape. But she doesn't typically collaborate on music with other Housewives. Still, that hasn't stopped a tiny beef from bubbling up between Kandi and her fellow 'Wife, Kenya Moore, about who might get to lay down a track with the one and only Erika Jayne of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
On Radio Andy, the singer delved into the musical matter. When host Andy Cohen asked Kandi whether she'd met Erika, Kandi professed that she hadn't. But, she noted that her fellow Atlanta 'Wife Kenya "loves" the 90210-based performer.
"I was talking to Kenya one day ... and I said, 'Oh, yeah, Andy mentioned that [Erika] and I should do a song together,'" Kandi shared, before launching into an impression of Kenya. "[Kenya] was like, uh-uh, not before she and I do a song together. That is my friend." So, you heard it here first, folks! Kandi and Erika can't collaborate until Kenya and Erika have.
As it turns out, Kenya doesn't have to worry. Though one should never say never, Kandi doesn't typically collaborate on music with other 'Wives. Well, except for that time she wrote Tardy for the Party for Kim Zolciak-Biermann...LOL!

#NEWMUSIC Sade's 'Flower Of The Universe' Is Here!
Sade is on no one's timetable — she seems, in fact, to revolve independently of the Earth. It's been nearly seven years since we heard new music from one of music's most-prized and most intermittent voices — but all it took, apparently, was a request from director Ava DuVernay. "I never thought she'd say yes, but asked anyway," DuVernay wrote when announcing the new song, "A goddess."
LISTEN HERE
The track is classic Sade — a lush, honey sway, a voice like thick, slow-motion silk. "Flower of the Universe" will appear on the stacked soundtrack to DuVernay's upcoming adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time, the 1962 children's science-fiction novel by Madeleine L'Engle.

#BEEHIVE: Beyonce and Jay-Z Joint Tour Confirmed
A few days ago, Beyonce’s Facebook and Ticketmaster pages announced a date for the tour, on July 30 at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field — both posts were quickly deleted.
Insiders claim this was no accident…According to Billboard: JAY-Z and Beyonce are indeed touring this summer, two sources tell Billboard, despite the swift, mysterious removal of an announcement on Ticketmaster and Facebook (March 5) for their On The Run 2 tour.
One of the delays behind the On The Run 2 tour announcement could be Beyonce’s upcoming appearance at Coachella, April 14 and 21.
In the past, Coachella organizer Goldenvoice has required headliner artists to hold off until after the festival to announce new tour dates.
Texas Man Trying to Cash in ‘Black Panther’ Mania with ‘Wakanda Wine Fest’
Talk About the bandwagon! Three days after “Black Panther” hit theaters — and started smashing through box office records with vibranium claws — a Texas-based man named Davon Hatchett filed docs to trademark something called the “Wakanda Wine Fest.”
The application says the trademark would be used for “charitable donation services, namely, providing educational special events, seminars, workshops in the field of wine.”
Additionally, Hatchett’s filing includes usage for wine and food tastings, arranging events for social entertainment purposes and wine seminars.
Marvel already submitted documents to trademark “Wakanda” for a variety of uses back in November (none of which specifically included a wine festival) so they could oppose the potential wine fest.

Usher & Wife Grace Miguel Announce Separation
Usher and his wife/manager Grace Miguel have announced their separation after two years of marriage and nearly 10 years together.
The R&B superstar and music executive issued a joint statement to reveal the state of their strained relationship.
“After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple,” they told Us Weekly. “We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”
The couple, who wed in September 2015, has reportedly been separated for a couple of months. Neither party has filed for divorce, but that could be imminent.
Usher proposed to Grace Miguel in January 2015. Later that year, the duo eloped and honeymooned in Cuba. They started dating in 2009 after Usher split from his first wife, Tameka Foster, with whom he shares 10-year-old son Usher Raymond V and 9-year-old son Naviyd Ely.
The 39-year-old hinted at a change in his life recently on Instagram.
#METOO: 16,000 sign petition to take back Kobe Bryant’s Academy Award
An online petition to take an Oscar award away from Kobe Bryant is gaining momentum on social media.
More than 16,000 people have reportedly signed an online petition to revoke Bryant’s Oscar because the NBA star was accused of sexual assault in 2003.
“The Oscars almost avoided nominating sexual predators for awards,” the petition reads. “Woody Allen and James Franco didn’t get anything. But Kobe Bryant, who was charged with a horrific sexual assault, was nominated.”
The former Los Angeles Laker won an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film at Sunday’s Academy Awards for Dear Basketball. The short film is based off Kobe Bryant’s poignant retirement letter published in the Players Tribune in 2015. The unexpected win shocked Bryant and he thanked his daughters in Italian while also throwing a little political shade saying:
“I don’t know if it’s possible, as basketball players we’re really supposed to shut up and dribble,” Bryant said. “I’m glad we do a little bit more than that. Thank you, Academy, for this amazing honor. Thank you, John Williams for such a wonderful piece of music. Thank you, Verizon for believing in the film. Thank you, Molly Carter. Without you we wouldn’t be here and to my wife Vanessa and to our daughters Natalia, Gianna and Bianka … you are my inspiration.”
Bryant’s comment was directed at Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, who recently told LeBron James to “Shut up and dribble,” in reaction to the Cleveland Cavaliers’ player voicing his political opinions.
The petitioners are hoping that with enough signatures Academy will reconsider Kobe Bryant’s win.
Kobe Bryant settled a lawsuit out of court after a female hotel employee in Colorado accused the NBA player of sexual assault. Bryant denied the encounter at first and then recanted saying that he and the victim had consensual sex. The young woman later dropped the charges and filed a civil lawsuit instead, which was settled.

Frida Kahlo And Other Historic Women Are Being Made Into Barbies!
Mattel is also honoring a few living legends, including Olympian Chloe Kim, this International Women’s Day.
Kids around the world will soon be able to own a Barbie doll bearing the likeness of Frida Kahlo, Amelia Earhart or Katherine Johnson.
All three women made herstory in different industries: Earhart was the first female aviator to fly across the Atlantic Ocean; Mexican artist Kahlo was known for her unique painting style and feminist activism; and Johnson, who was highlighted in the 2016 film “Hidden Figures,” broke boundaries for black women in mathematics and calculated dozens of trajectories for NASA, including the 1969 Apollo 11 flight to the moon.
The dolls, which are part of Mattel’s new series called “Inspiring Women,” will be mass produced and sold in stores. The toy company does not have an exact date for when they will hit shelves, but said each will come with educational information about the woman who inspired it.
“As a brand that inspires the limitless potential in girls, Barbie will be honoring its largest line up of role models timed to International Women’s Day, because we know that you can’t be what you can’t see,” Lisa McKnight, the senior vice president and general manager of Barbie, said Tuesday in a press release. “Girls have always been able to play out different roles and careers with Barbie and we are thrilled to shine a light on real life role models to remind them that they can be anything.”
Johnson, 99, worked closely with Mattel to create her doll and ensure it looked as much like her as possible.
Ahead of International Women’s Day on Thursday, Barbie’s “Shero” line is also honoring 14 modern-day role models from around the world. These dolls celebrating women who have recently broken boundaries in their fields aren’t meant to be sold, but some particularly popular ones have ended up in stores before.
The 14 new women Barbie is celebrating with its Shero line includes Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim, “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins and Australian wildlife conservationist Bindi Irwin. The line already honors women including director Ava DuVernay, actress Emmy Rossum, ballerina Misty Copeland and Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas.

Mississippi Town Approves Pride Parade After Fierce Backlash
“In this country, we do not restrict a person’s ability to speak based on whether or not we agree with what they have to say.”
The town of Starkville, Mississippi, will host its first gay pride parade this month after its officials reversed a decision to reject a permit.
The Starkville Board of Alderman on Tuesday voted again whether to approve the event, and tied 3-3. The mayor, Lynn Spruill, then cast the deciding vote in favor of the parade, now scheduled for March 24.
The board came under fire in February after it denied the event’s organizers a permit to hold the town’s first gay pride rally, even after a majority of people spoke out in its favor at the original hearing, and there were no concerns with cost. But the aldermen voted 4-3 to reject it, provoking widespread outrage that put the town of 25,000 in the national spotlight.
The sponsors of the event, a group called Starkville Pride, filed a federal lawsuit after the initial decision, saying officials had discriminated against LGBTQ residents and violated free speech rights.
Tuesday’s vote came after Alderwoman Sandra Sistrunk asked the board to reconsider the permit, calling the hubbub “a bit of a growing pain for the city.”
“I think we’re in a position where we can make a more measured and reasoned vote tonight,” Sistrunk said, according to The Associated Press.
Roberta Kaplan, the lawyer who filed the lawsuit on behalf of Starkville Pride, said that her law firm was “so incredibly proud” to represent the group, and that she couldn’t wait for the parade. A judge has not yet ruled on the lawsuit, and it’s unclear if it will proceed now that the parade has been approved.
“What happened at tonight’s meeting was a victory not only for our clients and for their equal dignity under the law, but also for the core principle that in this country, we do not restrict a person’s ability to speak based on whether or not we agree with what they have to say,” Kaplan said in a statement provided to the Starkville Daily News.
The approval also was hailed by the Human Rights Campaign, which said local outrage pushed the city to “do the right thing.”
The group “has been proud to work alongside Starkville Pride and community leaders to make this parade a reality, and we look forward to a successful Pride celebration in a few short weeks,” Rob Hill, the group’s Mississippi director, said in a statement.
The Daily News reported that some had voiced concerns that the parade would feature explicit content ― fears that Sistrunk was quick to dispel.
“They’re going to have a parade, it’s going to be a celebration and I don’t expect anything to fall into lewd or illegal behavior,” Sistrunk said.
The Associated Press noted that the three aldermen who voted against the parade did not explain their opposition..
