"Vanity Fair" looks back at 10 years of Marvel movies
The 10-year rise of Marvel Studios is tracked in a new, superhero-stacked issue of Vanity Fair.
The feature story uses four special covers featuring many of its heroes — including Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America — to trace the history of the comics offshoot that became a blockbuster producing powerhouse.

Back in 2008, Iron Man was actually considered a long-shot. Jabbed as a second-tier hero by some, Downey’s performance — and the Jon Favreau-directed movie’s performance in theaters — laid the tracks for Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is now 17 movies deep, turning other one-time long shots like the Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange into bonafide blockbuster stars.
Much of that success is credited to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, who started as an assistant on 20th Century Fox’s X-Men, in 2000. He rose through the ranks, and eventually had the vision to set the interconnected MCU in motion.

Recently, there was a massive class picture of sorts taken, with 83 of the MCU’s stars — from Vin Diesel, the voice of Groot, to Angela Bassett, yet to be seen as Chadwick Black Panther Boseman’s mom in that upcoming film.
Jon Favreau, who directed two Iron Man movies and recently appeared again as Happy Hogan in Spider Man: Homecoming, recalled to Vanity Fair: “[U]s old-timers — me and Robert and Gwyneth [Paltrow] and Kevin…We were emotional…thinking about how precarious it all felt in the beginning.”
All the Marvel characters will be seen in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, and some could meet their end in 2019, in Avengers 4. That film, “bring things you’ve never seen in superhero films: a finale,” teases Feige.  “There will be two distinct periods. Everything before Avengers 4 and everything after.”

Marvel is owned by Disney, parent company of ABC News.

#RHoA: UH OH? LGBT advocates lambaste Bravo, Kenya Moore for her ‘anti-trans joke’ on RHOA
A fiery exchange between Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Kenya Moore has led to outrage and calls for the dismissal of Moore due to what many are calling transphobic insults.
During Sunday’s night episode, Zolciak-Biermann made a controversial return to the RHOA fold. Her return led to arguments with NeNe Leakes and Moore.

While Zolciak-Biermann dismissed Moore’s new marriage as “lies,” Moore questioned why the wife and mother of six was concerned with her marriage. The heated argument took an ugly turn when Moore made comments about “reassignment surgery.” She yelled
“Why do you have such a hard-on for me? Didn’t they cut it off during your reassignment surgery,” Moore quipped during the argument.

Those comments led many to call out Moore, showrunner Andy Cohen and Bravo on social media Monday.
Thoughts?

#MISSUNIVERSE: Here she is Miss South Africa Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters Crowned Miss Universe
Miss South Africa Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters has been crowned Miss Universe 2017!
Nel-Peters, 22, recently earned her degree in business management at North-West University.
During a pre-taped interview, the Western Cape native talked about how her experience being held at gunpoint made her passionate about training women in self-defense. She plans to bring that passion, along with a self-defense program she helped develop, to the Miss Universe platform.

During the competition’s Q&A portion, the newly crowned Miss Universe was asked about the most important issue she thought was facing women in the workplace.

“In some places, women get paid 75% of what men earn for doing the same job, working the same hours — and I do not believe that this is right,” she said. “I think we should have equal work for equal pay for women all over the world.”See her once she was announced the winner below.
Miss Colombia and Miss Jamaica also impressed the judges during the Q&A segment, answering questions on how to talk to children about terrorism and sexual harassment, respectively.
“Sexual harassment is a form of abuse and no abuse should be tolerated whether in the workplace or in society,” Bennett said. “I believe that men and women should come together and be professional.”

#Royals: Meghan Markle Retires From Acting After Engagement to Prince Harry
A new chapter! After the announcement of Meghan Markle’s engagement to Prince Harry on Monday, November 27, other news followed – including her decision to retire from acting.
The former Suits actress, 36, is looking forward to the future and is putting her acting career behind her. “I think what’s been so exciting [transitioning] out of my career and into, as you said, the causes I can focus even more energy on, very early out of the gate, [is that you] have a voice that people listen to, a lot of responsibility,” she said in her first joint interview with the royal, 33, just hours after their engagement news broke. “There’s a lot to do,” her new fiancé chimed in.
But Markle, who has served as a UN Ambassador and studied international relations, doesn’t see it as giving something up, rather as starting a new period in her life. “I see it is a new change, a new chapter,” she added. “I’ve been working on my show seven years, we were so fortunate to have that longevity, and I feel like I checked that box and am very proud of the work I’ve done there.”

Her doting groom-to-be furthered her statement, “[There’s a] sense of responsibility from day one. I fell in love with her and she fell in love with me … but then we had to have some frank conversations for what you’re getting yourself into is a big deal and at the end of the day she chose me and I chose her, whatever we have to tackle individually or together, we will do it as a team. I think she’s capable of anything.”

As previously reported, palace officials confirmed the couple’s engagement earlier on Monday. They are set to wed in Spring 2018.

Terry Crews Alleged Sexual Harasser Adam Venit Returns to Work Following His Suspension and Terry isn’t HAPPY!
Terry Crews is not happy with the fact that Adam Venit has returned to work following a one-month mandatory suspension.
via THR: WME’s Adam Venit is back at the company’s Beverly Hills headquarters after serving a one-month unpaid suspension, the agency confirmed Monday.

The agent had been disciplined in late October over a February 2016 incident in which he allegedly grabbed agency client Terry Crews’ genitals. Senior management at WME only learned of the incident in October in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment and assault scandal that has prompted victims to come forward with their own tales of misdeeds in Hollywood. On Oct. 10, Crews tweeted that he had been groped by an unnamed male power broker, but it later emerged in the press that the man was Venit.

The Hollywood Reporter previously reported that Venit would return to the agency after his one-month suspension elapsed.

Still, Venit, who reps such high-earning clients as Adam Sandler and Shawn Levy, has not escaped the allegations unscathed. The 54-year-old veteran agent, who also reps Steve Martin, Sylvester Stallone and Vince Vaughn, was demoted from his position as head of the motion picture department. Upon his return Monday, Venit made a tearful apology to staff at the agency’s morning meeting, according to sources.

At the time of the incident, Crews complained about Venit’s behavior to his agent, WME’s Brad Slater, but agency sources say that the matter was never taken up the ladder. But following Crews’ October tweet, WME learned that it was Venit whom the actor was referencing and began investigating to determine if it was an isolated event or indicative of a pattern. WME sources say the agency found the former to be the case.

Separately, Crews fired WME and filed a report with the Los Angeles Police Department.

Princess Love Debuts Baby Bump, Amidst Rumors Ray J’s Sister Brandy Is Surrogate
Ray J’s wife, Princess Love has debuted her baby bump! This week, the Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood reality star revealed that his wife was pregnant.

After the news was revealed, Princess posted a photo of her baby bump. She captioned the photo:
It’s such a blessing from God to be able to carry our child. We kept this to ourselves until after the first trimester because it’s bad luck to announce too early. But we’re so proud to share this journey with you guys. Thank you for all of the love and prayers
It is speculated that Princess released the photo after there were rumors that Ray J’s sister, Brandy Norwood, was the couple’s surrogate. Over the past year, it has been speculated that Brandy is pregnant.

However, reality star Moniece Slaughter posted a comment on social media, claiming that Brandy was carrying Ray J and Princess Love’s child. [Moniece stars on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood with the pair. She also has a tumultuous history with Ray J and Brandy.] Moneice writes on social media,
Here. I’ll answer all of your surrogacy questions for you. Yes. Brand is carrying the baby for them. Her hormones must be raging because aside from her already being off her rocker, she’s losing her mind. Send my mom one more text that you claim you sent me and I guess it’s a fair fade since she’s always publicly denying her pregnancy.

Brandy has yet to comment.

Tiny Harris Gives Tamar Braxton Advice On Saving Vincent Herbert Marriage
If there is one person, who can understand what Tamar Braxton is going through; it is her excellent friend, Tameka “Tiny” Harris.
About a year ago, Tiny filed for divorce from rapper and actor T.I. amid infidelity allegations.

However, according to Tiny, through prayer and God’s will, she was able to save her marriage.
And now, Braxton, the godmother of baby Heiress Harris, is going through some tough times after announcing her divorce from Vincent Herbert who is accused of verbal and physical assault.
Those, who follow Tamar & Vince, are aware that Tiny made an appearance on the show.
Tiny sat down with Braxton, and they had an emotional conversation about their friendship and the issues she has faced with Herbert.

T.I.’s wife suggested that Braxton drops Herbert as her manager to save her marriage.
Tiny told her friend: “I think you should get a new manager before you want to get another husband.”
Visibly upset by the messy situation with her spouse, Braxton replied by: “I don’t want to end up like my parents.”
Braxton’s sisters and her mother are not in agreement with Tiny. The family wants her to leave Herbert as soon as possible and never to look back.

A source said: “They have tried to stay as quiet as possible because they do not want to ruin things. The second they confirm they are together, it opens the gates for criticism.”

The tipster continued: “Tamar’s sisters all knew how bad it was, so did her close friends. There were a lot of fears for Tamar being in such an unhealthy situation. Her whole family is so relieved that she has finally pulled the plug and filed for divorce. This divorce has been a long time coming, and it has got nothing to do with Tamar leaving The Real — This is about her finally getting out of a very toxic and ugly situation. Things with Tamar and Vince have not been right for a long time, but she did not want to admit it; she kept making excuses for him.”

The pal went on to say that the former host of The Real is fed up with her estranged husband using her as an ATM card and added: “Tamar is ready to stand up for herself and fight. She does not want to give Vincent money; she is tired of him using her. And she has got no intention of sharing custody with him. Tamar feels very strongly that she should have full custody of their son and she is going to do whatever it takes to get it.”

Are you surprised by Tiny’s advice?

Did Kandi Burruss officially quit Xscape?
One Twitter fan who watched the recent Xscape interview on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” described the tension as being thick enough to “cut with an ax.”

The painfully awkward sit-down session, climaxing with singer-songwriter Kandi Burruss saying that the rest of the group would work on new music without her – and doing so while pointing at the group without looking at them – summarized the state of affairs with the beloved, multiplatinum-selling 1990’s group. The obvious animosity bubbling beneath the surface for the past several months burst through like a leaky water hose and indicated that the much-anticipated reunion would be short-lived.

Well, the final episode of “Xscape Still Kickin’ It” aired on Bravo and the quartet took the audience back to their glory days during the tour’s last stop in the Motor City. Despite a show featuring the women singing and dancing in unison and producing great harmonies – building to a crescendo when Tamika Scott, Burruss, LaTocha Scott, and Tiny Harris all bringing their husbands on stage for risque dances – they could not camouflage the acidic acrimony existing between some of the group members.
That moment became real for the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star and entrepreneur because Burruss had been pondering aloud if she will stay in the group after the tour.
However, after contemplating long and hard, Burruss made it official that she will quit the group, Celebrity Insider reported.
The entertainment publication said Xscape revealed in a statement: “Kandi has joined the women of Xscape for The Great Xscape Tour visiting 28 cities nationwide. Tiny LaTocha and Tamika have decided to record new music together. Kandi has decided not to join them.”
Burruss pointed to all the drama and fighting with the other ladies. Fans of the group took to social media to debate whether Xscape is better with or without Burruss.

The Kandi Kare founder said the tumult has outweighed the positives of getting back together.
“It is always drama. We all think differently when it comes to handling business, or at least, the three of them think differently than me,” Burruss said. “It is always them three against me, and I feel like I am always made to be the villain. It is really irritating and stressful.”

Do you believe this is the end of Xscape in its current form? And do you believe the group can prosper without Burruss?
