‘Saturday Night Live’ Ratings Rise With Host Melissa McCarthy
Saturday Night Live with host Melissa McCarthy last Saturday along side musical guest Haim averaged 10.337 million viewers overall and a 2.74 rating in adults 18-49 in “fast official” Live+ same day results.
It was the highest live coast-to-coast episode, above the first truly live nationwide installment on April 15 hosted by Jimmy Fallon (7.880 million viewers, 2.27 adults 18-49 rating) and also above the next-highest May 6 show hosted by Chris Pine (6.919 million viewers overall and a 1.87 rating in adults 18-49).
The May 13 telecast vs what SNL averaged with originals for the month of May last year was up +71% in adults 18-49 (with a 2.74 rating vs. a 1.60) and up +98% in total viewers (10.337 million vs. 5.233 million for the month of May 2016.
The highest marks this season were logged by the Feb. 11 episode hosted by Alec Baldwin and featuring musical guest Ed Sheeran (10.843 million viewers, 3.10 in 18-49) and the Nov. 12, 2016 show, the first SNL to follow the November Presidential Election, with host Dave Chappelle and musical guest A Tribe Called Quest (8.691 million viewers, 3.15 in 18-49).
The 2.74 rating in adults 18-49 beats 18 of last season’s 19 SNL originals and the 10.337 million viewers overall tops all 19 first-runs from last season.
#RHoA: When Will 'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Return? Season 10 Could Be The Series' Most Dramatic Ever
The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 9 has come to an end with the show's "Secrets Revealed" special after a series of explosive reunions. But after this season ends, when will The Real Housewives of Atlanta return? Bravo renewed RHOA, along with many of its other reality series, for another season in late April. This will be the series' 10th season, and feature its 200th episode. So RHOA Season 10 is already going to be a major milestone for the series.
So, how long do the people have to wait before seeing this new season? Not that long, considering. The last five seasons of the show, dating back to 2012, have debuted in early November. Even though Bravo hasn't announced a premiere date yet, it stands to reason that unless there's some kind of delay that stops the series from filming this summer, it should be on its way come November. That's actually not that long away, considering that RHOA seasons last basically five months, making the show on the air nearly as long as it's taking time off.
And there's a lot to look forward to in RHOA's tenth season. According to TMZ, former Housewife Kim Zolciak will be returning to RHOA in a "limited role" next year, not as a full cast member, because of conflicts with Don't Be Tardy. There's precedent for this, since Kim appeared at Shereé's housewarming party in the finale of Season 9. In that episode, Kim and Kenya briefly clashed — maybe this increased appearance will mean that these two will hash out their issues or, turn them into a full-blown feud.
It is worth noting that Bravo hasn't confirmed that Kim will return, nor have they announced any other casting decisions. The cast of Season 9 is in a pretty good place, though Cynthia, who hasn't generated much of a story in years, threatened that she might have some interest in moving to California during an episode. Otherwise, though, it seems that each member of the RHOA cast is worth their weight in drama, and has certainly earned their way back for another season. But there's one person missing.
According to a TMZ interview with NeNe, she thinks that if she does return, she should be paid more than Kim... but she's not totally opposed to the idea of coming back. That's a big change, because back in 2016, before the premiere of Season 9, NeNe turned down a RHOA guest appearance, according to People magazine, saying, "When we couldn’t work the deal out on me making appearances, then they went to Kim to work the same thing, I suppose." Things seems a little farther along with Kim's Season 10 negotiations than NeNe's — because Ms. Leakes, true to her word, did not appear in Season 9 — but it's possible that the original stars of Atlanta; Kim, NeNe, and Shereé, could all be back on Bravo at the exact same time at the end of this year.
#EMPIRE: Terrence Howard Has A Response To Mo’Nique’s Rip Against Lee Daniels
He tells it like he sees it. Terrence Howard has chimed in on the Mo’Nique vs. Lee Daniels beef that recently went from zero to 60 this past weekend.
At a comedy show at the Apollo Theatre on Mother’s Day, Mo’Nique called out heavy hitters Lee Daniels, Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey as “black d*cks who had no balls.” Her comments continue a much public beef between Daniels and herself when he said she was being “blackballed” by people in the movie business. Based off separate interviews with Mo’Nique and Daniels, apparently the comedian wasn’t playing the right game to get steady work in Hollywood. Now, Mo’Nique finally poured out all her emotions at the Apollo. “Ya’ll can suck my d*ck if I had one,” she said.
One person who isn’t mad at Mo’Nique’s jabs is Terrence Howard. In a run-in with TMZ, the Empire star said, “Everybody’s got a right to speak what’s on their mind.” He continued, “She got an Oscar from it and she’s still an amazing actor and an amazing comedian.” When asked if there should be hard feelings from Mo’Nique’s harsh words, Howard responded, “No, there shouldn’t be.”
It appears Howard is remaining neutral in this beef — no matter if Mr. Daniels has a hand in his Empire success. Considering how ugly this public drama is getting, this might be the best way to go.
#MUSICNEWS: Beyoncé, Bruno Mars Lead 2017 BET Awards Nominations
The nominations are in for the 2017 BET Awards, and it’s to little surprise that Beyoncé is reigning supreme.
Queen Bey leads the pack with seven noms, including Album of the Year (Lemonade), Video of the Year (“Sorry”), Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Best Collaboration (“Freedom” with Kendrick Lamar), and more.
Mr. 24k, Bruno Mars follows right behind Bey with five noms, including Album of the Year (24K Magic), Video of the Year (“24K Magic”), and Best Male R&B/Pop Artist. But competition is stiff this year. Chance the Rapper, Solange, and Migos are all tied with four nods apiece.
Arguably the night’s biggest award, Album of the Year, features Beyoncé and Mars, as well as Solange’s A Seat at the Table, J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only, and Chance the Rapper’s Coloring Book.
The Knowles sisters will also take on Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, and Kehlani for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist. Bruno will battle Chris Brown, The Weeknd, Trey Songz, and Usher for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.
Last year, Beyoncé opened the BET Awards with a surprise performance of “Freedom” with Kendrick Lamar. Queen Bey also won five awards at the event, including Best Female R&B Pop Artist.
The 17th annual BET Awards will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on June 25 at 8 p.m. ET. The ceremony will follow the BET Experience at L.A. Live, which is scheduled to run June 22-25.

The 47-year-old singer and the 36-year-old rapper stayed close during a dinner date with their twins – Moroccan and Monroe, 6 (not pictured) – at Nobu on Sunday (May 14) in Malibu, Calif.

The former couple was all smiles as they chatted outside the restaurant.
Gabourey Sidibe Describes Racial Profiling Incident At Chanel
Gabourey Sidibe penned an article for Lena Dunham’s Lenny Letter site detailing the time a Chicago Chanel sales lady treated her like a second class citizen because she assumed a girl who looked like her couldn’t possibly have a dime in her pocket.
Gabby says she went in looking for a specific pair of eyeglass frames she had had her eye on for a while…but instead of being helpful, the saleswoman said she should probably hit up a store across the street for her frames:
” I was trying to purchase glasses, and she was trying to get the interaction with me over as soon as possible. Just to be sure of what was happening, I made her tell me to leave, in her pretend-polite way, three times.
I knew what she was doing. She had decided after a single look at me that I wasn’t there to spend any money. Even though I was carrying a Chanel bag, she decided I wasn’t a Chanel customer and so, not worth her time and energy.”
Gabby says that as soon as some of the African American workers at the store recognized her as a famous person, the sales lady straightened her act up and changed her tune.
Gabby went ahead and purchased two eyeglass frames and some sandals for Taraji P. Henson, who was stuck on set filming and wasn’t able to come shopping with her that day. She says she took the incident in stride because frankly, none of it came as a big shock.
“Unfortunately, I’m used to people giving me bad service. Honestly, if I walked out of every store where someone was rude to me, I’d never have anything nice…
I’ve felt unwelcome in many stores throughout my life, but I just kind of deal with it. As a successful adult, sometimes I walk out of the store in a huff, without getting what I want, denying them my hard-earned money. Other times I spend my money in an unfriendly store as if to say ‘F*ck you! I’ll buy this whole damn store!'”
Either way, they win and I lose.
SMH! The fact that the disrespect is so common that she feels inclined to simply accept it is heartbreaking. Of course, Chanel can’t have that bad press hanging over their heads, so they made SURE to issue a public apology to Gabby:
Chanel expresses our sincerest regret for the boutique customer service experience that Ms. Sidibe mentioned in this essay. We are sorry that she felt unwelcome and offended.
We took her words very seriously and immediately investigated to understand what happened, knowing that this is absolutely not in line with the high standards that Chanel wishes to provide to our customers.
We are strongly committed to provide anyone who comes in our boutiques with the best customer service, and we do hope that in the future Ms. Sidibe will choose to come back to a Chanel boutique and experience the real Chanel customer experience.
Sounds like too little too late to us…

Amber Rose, Who's ya New MAN?
Amber Rose KEEPS her one, doesn't she?
Listen, we're not sure if this is part of something Amber is shooting or if she's just trolling the paparazzi, but chick spent Mother's Day weekend indulging in chocolate of a few different flavors. While she was in Miami celebrating her security guard's birthday, she definitely took some time for herself.
Amber was spotted in a one piece black swimsuit cozying up with a tall, dark and handsome mystery man on Miami Beach yesterday. The model w hugged up on his arm while they chilled in lounge chairs, and she was quite cutesy with him as they walked around the beach and she rubbed his neck and he grabbed her by the waist.
We're not even mad at Amber for this.

So why did he finally want to share the news with the world? “I wanted to share this information with people because what would I have went through if I decided to just stick my head in the sand and go, ‘You know what?
