Chrissy Teigen Pens Essay on ‘Painful’ Battle with Postpartum Depression: ‘I Couldn’t Figure Out Why I Was So Unhappy’
Chrissy Teigen is opening up about her secret, debilitating battle with postpartum depression and anxiety.
For Glamour‘s April cover story, the author and model penned a revealing essay about how her life changed after she and husband John Legend welcomed daughter Luna Simone, 11 months;
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover alum, 31, gave birth last April. But when she returned to work at Lip Sync Battle after maternity leave, Teigen writes something was off.

“Getting out of bed to get to set on time was painful. My lower back throbbed; my shoulders — even my wrists — hurt. I didn’t have an appetite. I would go two days without a bite of food, and you know how big of a deal food is for me,” she says.

The celebrity foodie also found herself more moody and emotional than before she became a mother.

“One thing that really got me was just how short I was with people. I would be in my dressing room, sitting in a robe, getting hair and makeup done, and a crew member would knock on the door and ask: ‘Chrissy, do you know the lyrics to this song?’ And I would lose it. Or ‘Chrissy, do you like these cat ears, or these panda hands?’ And I’d be like: ‘Whatever you want. I don’t care.’ They would leave. My eyes would well up, and I would burst into tears. My makeup artist would pat them dry and give me a few minutes,” Teigen adds.
“I couldn’t figure out why I was so unhappy. I blamed it on being tired and possibly growing out of the role: ‘Maybe I’m just not a goofy person anymore. Maybe I’m just supposed to be a mom.'”

At her lowest point, Teigen sequestered herself away at home for days at a time when she didn’t have to work.

“When I wasn’t in the studio, I never left the house. I mean, never. Not even a tiptoe outside. I’d ask people who came inside why they were wet. Was it raining? How would I know — I had every shade closed,” she says.
“Most days were spent on the exact same spot on the couch and rarely would I muster up the energy to make it upstairs for bed. John would sleep on the couch with me, sometimes four nights in a row. I started keeping robes and comfy clothes in the pantry so I wouldn’t have to go upstairs when John went to work. There was a lot of spontaneous crying.”
Concerned about how she was feeling, Teigen sought out her doctor.
“Before the holidays I went to my GP for a physical. John sat next to me. I looked at my doctor, and my eyes welled up because I was so tired of being in pain. Of sleeping on the couch. Of waking up throughout the night. Of throwing up. Of taking things out on the wrong people. Of not enjoying life. Of not seeing my friends. Of not having the energy to take my baby for a stroll,” she says.
“My doctor pulled out a book and started listing symptoms. And I was like, ‘Yep, yep, yep.’ I got my diagnosis: postpartum depression and anxiety. (The anxiety explains some of my physical symptoms.)”
Throughout her struggle and diagnosis, Teigen says her singer husband, 38, was her biggest supporter.
“He’s exactly as compassionate, patient, loving, and understanding as he seems,” she writes of Legend in the women’s glossy. “I’m grateful for the people around me. John has been incredible over the last nine months, bringing me my medicine and watching horrible reality TV with me. He is not the goofiest guy, but he has gone out of his way to indulge my sense of humor. When I was having a good day, he would go to Medieval Times with me and put on the crazy period hat! He sees how much my eyes light up when he does that stuff, and he knows that’s what I need. I know he must look over at times and think: My God, get it together. But he has never made me feel that way. He wants me to be happy, silly, and energetic again, but he’s not making me feel bad when I’m not in that place.”
After her initial diagnosis, the social media star was hesitant to open up about her secret.
“Postpartum does not discriminate. I couldn’t control it. And that’s part of the reason it took me so long to speak up: I felt selfish, icky, and weird saying aloud that I’m struggling. Sometimes I still do,” says Teigen, who is opening up about her postpartum today in hopes that it will help others.

“I’m speaking up now because I want people to know it can happen to anybody, and I don’t want people who have it to feel embarrassed or to feel alone,’ she says. “I also don’t want to pretend like I know everything about postpartum depression, because it can be different for everybody. But one thing I do know is that — for me — just merely being open about it helps.”
Despite everything she’s been through, Teigen says her battle with mental health hasn’t deterred her desire to expand her family.
“I love John and Luna more than I can imagine loving anything, and John and I still hope to give Luna a few siblings,” she says. “Postpartum hasn’t changed that.”

The April issue of Glamour featuring Chrissy Teigen’s essay hits newsstands March 14.

#RHoA: Sheree Admits Ex-Husband Bob Whitfield Choked Her in Upcoming RHOA Episode, Bob Jokes He “Didn’t Choke Her Hard Enough”
The drama has definitely turned up on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but things are about to get extra real. A promo clip of the show’s upcoming episode has Sheree Whitfield getting emotional while discussing the physical abuse in her marriage.
Sheeree and ex-husband Bob Whitfield have been rekindling their relationship in season 9 by hanging out as friends and even going on a few dates. The latest episode saw the two going on a “couples trip” to Maui, planned by Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker.

However, the ex’s rekindled romance may burn out on the next episode. In the clip, Bob asks Sheree if he ever put his hands on her because he “might have forgotten.” When Sheree admitted that he choked her before, Bob makes the cruel comment of “Maybe I didn’t choke you hard enough.” The inconsiderate and disgusting response brings Sheree to tears.
Phaedra Parks and Kenya Moore were along for the ride to hear the troubling conversation. Though Kenya and Sheree are RHOA foes and Sheree has even blamed Kenya for her boyfriend Matt Jordan’s violent behavior, it was Kenya who comforted Sheree.

I personally have not seen it for Bob since he refused to pay child support and stuck his tongue out at Sheree at court, however, I was giving him a second since Sheree was. But now, his true colors are showing once again.

(The fact that I can never tell which way he’s looking doesn’t help matters either, but I’m going to stop being petty.)

Twitter has turned on Bob as well.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs on Sundays on Bravo at 8 pm.

50 Cent Again Suggests Diddy Is Gay Over Photo With Lee Daniels
Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is back to taking shots at his fellow Hip Hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Three years ago, 50 posted an Instagram photo insinuating Diddy, Rick Ross, and Steve Stoute were gay.
“I ain’t saying nothing, but something ain’t right. Lmao,” wrote the native New Yorker in the caption of the since deleted IG post.

Early this morning, 50 threw another social media jab at Diddy by using homosexual jokes.
The “I’m The Man” rapper uploaded a pic of openly gay Empire creator Lee Daniels embracing Diddy.
He wrote in the caption:
Lee: So you want the role or not puffy?
Puff: yes ok, I’m coming over later. Lee: we have to wait till later? 😆LMAO POWER COMING SOON!!!
50 Cent has also been feuding with the Empire team after he accused the Fox show of copying the marketing strategy of his Starz series Power.

In addition, there were reports 50 blamed the dip in Empire season two ratings – through a re-posted Instagram caption – to “gay stuff.”

A spokesperson for the G-Unit representative later stated the IG content was not “a reflection of [50 Cent’s] views at all.”

New Music from Jennifer Hudson – ‘Remember Me’
Jennifer Hudson is back with “Remember Me,” the lead single from her upcoming Epic Records debut.
The Oscar and Grammy winner flexes her powerful pipes on the rousing record, which she co-wrote with Jamie Hartman, who penned Rag’n’Bone Man’s No. 1 hit “Human.”

“I know you remember me in those moments before you sleep / Promise me that it doesn’t make your heart beat,” sings JHUD before being joined by a gospel choir.
Hudson, who released an album called I Remember Me in 2011, has been working with L.A. Reid and executive producer Clive Davis on her fourth album, her first for Epic Records. She will perform the song for the first time on Sunday (March 5) on “The Voice UK,” where she is currently serving as a coach.

“As an artist, when I discover music that I connect with deeply, it brings me a sense of excitement that I can’t put into words,” said Hudson. “That’s how I feel about ‘Remember Me.’ Everything about it is special — from co-writing it with Jamie, to the recording process, to how it made me feel along the way. I just can’t wait to share it with the world.”

Aye! Dipset and Migos unite as Juelz Santana taps Jim Jones, Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff for his latest release, “D-Up.”
The Atlanta trio kicks off the track with rhymes and harmonies. “Excuse me, pardon,” raps Offset. “Colorful diamonds like I been playin’ Sorry / Look at my bitch, she a Barbie.”

Rihanna Debuts Fenty University Puma Collection at Paris Fashion Week
Class was in session at Fenty University as Rihanna debuted her latest Fenty x Puma collection on Monday (March 6) during an elaborate school-inspired fashion show in Paris.
Back at the City of Lights for her Fall 2017 show, Harvard’s Humanitarian of the Year took over the National Library of France, using study tables as runways for her dashing and daring models.
The sometimes NSFW show began with a choir singing Radiohead’s “Creep,” but then, things turned up with in-your-face smashes from M.I.A. (“Bad Girls”) and Die Antwoord (“Happy Go Sucky Fucky” and “I Fink U Freeky”). Meanwhile, models walked down the runways with a combination of casual cool, bold

Rocking an oversized lime green coat, RiRi took a bow at the end of the show, just before papers were tossed down by restless students for the finale, closing out a show that pulled inspiration from Harry Potter while delivering edgy fashion statements.

Before the show, Rihanna revealed why the collection is her favorite yet. “There’s a lot of simple things and then a lot of complicated, more exaggerated pieces that combine really well together,” she said. “That’s my favorite thing to do. I’ve never been in love with a collection more than this one.”
It seemed the audience loved it as well. Among the celebrities in attendance were Future, who recently collaborated with Rihanna on “Selfish,” The-Dream, and DJ Mustard, who produced her ANTI smash “Needed Me.” Others in the house for the event included Cara Delevingne, Nick Jonas, and Salma Hayek.

HE'S A DO GOODER! Chance the Rapper Donates $1 Million to Chicago Schools.
Yells through the computer screen! Thank you Chance the Rapper for your generosity.

Chance the Rapper’s unusual intervention into Chicago Public Schools’ funding crisis took an even more curious turn Monday when the Grammy-winner presented a $1 million check to city schools and urged Gov. Bruce Rauner to use his executive powers to help the nation’s third-largest district.

The Republican governor, a former venture capitalist, responded by noting his own philanthropy and floating Chicago school funding ideas that would face tough odds in the Democratic-controlled Legislature. Illinois has gone two years without a budget, the longest such stalemate of any state in nearly a century.

Jerry Jones On Tony Romo: “I Have Not Ruled Out the Possibility of Him Being a Part of the Cowboys”
Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, is not ready to let the dust settle on the quarterback controversy in Dallas. According to ESPN, the team’s general manager is not giving up on the opportunity to keep Tony Romo in Texas.

“I have not ruled out the possibility of him being a part of the Cowboys at all,” Jones said on Sunday. However, in regards to details on potential trade options for the veteran quarterback, Jones remained mum. “The things that will influence this decision are competitive and sensitive,” adding that the team has not allowed Romo’s camp to shop for other deals elsewhere, ESPN reports.

“We don’t work that way here,” he said.

The team seems to be in a bind since the salary cap this year peaks at $167 million with Romo under a $24.7 million cap figure, the publication reports. However, if the team chooses to release their veteran quarterback, they will free up $5.1 million. However, according to the GM, the team does not need to make a decision just yet.
“We’re in a situation right now where we need to see some things happen,” Jones said. “We need to read some tea leaves. We don’t’ need to be overtly doing something. We don’t need to do that for cap room. We don’t need to do that for any reason. We just need to see some direction, and the way we’ll get it is by coming together and mutually working that direction out. So, I mean, I’m not trying to be vague. All I’m trying to do is say that we don’t have anything to move on at this point.”
He added, “[Romo] gets to say and control this situation every bit as much as we do,” citing a discussion the two had at the end of the Cowboy’s season. Jones said that he and Romo went through every scenario, including trade, release, retirement and staying with America’s Team.
“I see this as finding a mutual solution,” Jones continued. “Now do one or the other need to adjust our perfect scenario to adjust it for what is a good deal? That could easily be, but answer’s not here today.”
Over the weekend, reports surfaced of a potential three-team quarterback trade between the Washington Redskins, the Cowboys, and the San Francisco 49ers, which could land Romo in Washington. However, according to Jones, that deal is not going down.

Not that I care…But where would you like to see Romo play next?

The Carter Family Wears Gucci To The Beauty and the Beast Premiere
The Carter Family shared quite a few flicks on Beyoncé’s website before heading to The Beauty and the Beast Premiere. For the premiere, The Carters wore Gucci, which is definitely the family’s favorite go-to brand. Beyoncé showed off her baby bump wearing Gucci’s $28k embellished plissé silk-chiffon gown and Azzedine Alaia studded sandals. Blue Ivy held her mommy’s hand while wearing Gucci’s Bird Silk Dress and Converse sneakers. Jay-Z went casual for the evening in Gucci’s  embroidered denim jacket and adidas sneakers.
Gucci’s light-emerald gown is expertly crafted from fluid plissé silk-chiffon. The gown is decorated with beautiful floral appliqués, intricate beading and light-catching crystals along the daring neckline. Love the glamorous floaty silhouette and cape-effect sleeves.
To complete Bey’s look, she wore Azzedine Alaia Sandals. The sandals are crafted with a vertiginous heel. The elegant sandals have been expertly made in Italy from rose gold leather. They’re detailed with gunmetal pyramid studs and signature buttoned straps – each sphere is covered and placed by hand.

The Gucci Green silk chiffon dress features a green and pink tiered skirt. The dress also has embroidered birds appliqués with center embroidered heart appliqué. The neckline and sleeves feature white macramé details and mother of pearl interlocking G buttons. The dress is completed with green grosgrain belt with bow at the back.
Hov’s denim jacket is embellished with some of Gucci’s newest distinctive motifs, most notably the tiger. The individually embroidered appliqués are sewn to the garment by hand, a process that takes hours to complete for each jacket. The center-back design is framed by the phrase “L’Aveugle Par Amour.” Literally translating to “blind for love,” it encompasses the idea that love makes you blind-a concept that speaks to Alessandro Michele’s romantic vision and inspirations.

‘Get Out’ Grosses Over $75 Million from a $4.5 Million Initial Budget
The hilarious comedian, Jordan Peele, surprises us with his socially-conscious horror film. The real gag is that he only had a $4.5 million budget, but has now grossed over $75 million. That’s around a 60% profit. Go, Jordan!

‘Get Out’ is primarily a horror film about a terrified black man trapped alone among possibly murderous racists, and it lands repeated bullseyes on white liberal hypocrisy.

The premise follows an African-American photographer named Chris Washington (Daniel Kaluuya), who joins his white girlfriend Rose Armitage (Allison Williams) on a visit to “meet the parents.” Upon arriving, Chris meets Rose’s eccentric folks, neurosurgeon father Dean (Bradley Whitford) and therapist mother Missy (Catherine Keener), who claim to be open-minded despite off-color jokes. The longer Chris is there, the more he realizes something isn’t right at the secluded family estate.
Originally written during the early years of the Obama administration, Peele claims he was inspired by idealistic progressives who claimed that we live in a “post-racial America.” After taking years to reach the screen, “Get Out” is more timely hitting theaters in 2017, as racial and political divisions have only grown, revealing the underlying tensions that Peele saw beneath the surface all along.

WOMP!!!! Tatyana Ali’s Lawsuit Over ‘The Real’ Dismissed
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge tossed Tatyana Ali‘s lawsuit against Warner Bros. and Telepictures claiming they stole her idea for “The Real.”

Here’s the scoop via Deadline: In dismissing Ali’s lawsuit, the court ruled that the trade secret laws upon which the actress made part of her claim does not protect ideas. Information that would be protected as trade secrets — formulas, methods, techniques and the like — were not claimed by Ali.
Ali filed her suit last July, claiming that she pitched a talk show to Warner Bros. and Telepictures back in 2012, her idea being a celebrity-hosted program aimed at viewers on “the younger side of the mid-life/mid-career female population.” The show would have “featured a variety of contemporary discussion topics in a relaxed and informal setting.”

The Real premiered in July 2013 on Fox-owned stations, featuring co-hosts Adrienne Bailon, Tamar Braxton, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Tamara Mowry. “With a great deal of disappointment and complete disbelief,” Ali’s suit said, the actress “witnessed [her] concept come to life on major network television at the hands of the Defendant Corporations.”
Today’s ruling noted that not only did Ali “voluntarily” reveal her talk show idea, but that she failed to present in her suit “facts or concrete information protectable as a trade secret.”

Welp. Can’t win them all.
The lesson in this is keep your ideas to yourself.
