Solange Is The Cover Star For ELLE’s New Issue
The A Seat at the Table singer discussed her most recent album and growing up with Destiny’s Child in the new cover story.
Solange graces the cover of ELLE Magazine's upcoming issue, which will be on newsstands February 21. In a preview of the upcoming cover story, Solange discussed growing up with Destiny's Child and the making of her A Seat at the Table album.
"My sister and Kelly [Rowland] were the same age, which is like a built-in best friend in the house; they were extremely close," Solange remembered of her childhood. "Writing felt like this insular thing that I could go back in my room and express all that I would observe, all the emotions that would arise. It felt like mine, my little thing."
"I did want to create this juxtaposition, politically, of having these very hard, messy conversations but having them stylistically in a way that you can really hear me, and not the yelling, the rage," Solange said of her groundbreaking album. "I wanted to project in my delivery what I was not achieving at all: peace and having a certain lightness and airiness that could maybe help me get closer to having more light and airiness in my life."

#RhoA: Kandi Burruss ‘Not Mad at’ Kim Zolciak’s ‘RHOA’ Return, Teases Upcoming Porsha Williams Blowout
We all know about Kim Zolciak Biermann returning to RhoA popping up in a future season nine episode at Sheree Whitfield’s housewarming party, where she gets into a shouting match with Kenya Moore.
“B**ch, you wanna be me!” Kim screams. “You can't.”
For Grammy Weekend Kandi Burruss, was at OK Magazine’s Pre-GRAMMY Party in Los Angeles, where she dished on Kim’s return, and the possibility that she and NeNe Leakes may return to the Bravo hit full-time in season 10.
“We don’t know,” Kandi says. “I wouldn't be mad at it, to be honest with you. We had a really, really great cast when all of us were a part of it at the same time. And I think, you know, it would be some interesting things happening if all of us were there at the same time. It would be too much, too much sauce, as they say.”
Well, there are interesting things happening with Kandi in the second half of the current season. A new trailer previews a massive blowout between Kandi and Porsha Williams, with Kandi screaming, “It took everything in me not to f**king choke the s**t out of this b**ch!”
“Oh my gosh, yes!” Kandi says. “Yes, yes, yes. This one's gonna get really bad. Really bad. And I know it looks bad in the trailer, but I promise you, when you see -- when it comes on -- you'll understand why I was so angry, when you see it. They didn't put everything in there, but you will see why I was so furious.”
“Honestly, I am not looking forward to [this season’s] reunion,” she adds. “I feel like I was a part of every single drama that happened this year … Every single thing, some way, I was in the middle, and I'm not used to that. You know, I'm not really used to being a part of the drama all the time.”

New Music: John Legend – One Woman Man
John Legend gets to the heart of deep love on his brand new song “One Woman Man,” off the soundtrack to Fifty Shades Darker.
Over a simple piano track, Legend belts out with his signature tone to the woman of his dreams, who stole his heart and helped him find the feelings for having a monogamous relationship.
“You made me believe that love was forever / And love could sustain us through every fight / I’ll let go of all of the other pretenders / They were wasting my time,” he sings.
Earlier this week, John announced his upcoming “Darkness and Light Tour” will launch May 12 in Miami and travel to 29 cities before wrapping up in New Orleans at the ESSENCE Festival in July.

New Hip Hop from Fat Joe & Remy Ma Feat. The-Dream – ‘Heartbreak’
Before releasing their new album Plata O Plomo, Fat Joe and Remy Ma are bringing on the “Heartbreak” on their island-flavored collaboration with The-Dream and Vindata.
“Lately I can’t help but to notice,” sings Joey Crack. “That he don’t acknowledge you / Nah, he don’t be out with you / I get it, I get it / Where I’m from, we on that bullshit / I can’t even lie to you.”
Following The-Dream’s heartbreaking chorus, Remy gets worldly. “Let’s go to Tokyo,” she sings. “Let’s go to Paris / Let’s go to Rome / I’m so all into you / I can’t contain it now.”
Don Cartagena explained why The-Dream was the perfect collaborator. “The song has a beautiful vibe,” he told Billboard. “I called Dream because he’s one of the greatest and I’ve always wanted to work with him.”
Terius Nash delivers. “Now I can’t prove my loving,” he sings. “Heartbreak 101 / At least stay here in my arms when the song’s done.”
Due Feb. 17, Remy and Joe’s Plata O Plomo is set to feature their Cool & Dre-produced anthem “All the Way Up,” plus appearances from Sevyn Streeter, Ty Dolla $ign, and Kent Jones.
This Sunday, Remy and Joe will be at the Grammys where “All the Way Up” is nominated for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.

Michelle Obama To Guest Star On ‘Masterchef Junior’
It has only been a few weeks since the Obama’s have left the White House and left us missing them deeply. However, you all may want to get your DVR’s ready, because we will get to see our former first lady Michelle Obama on our television screens very soon.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Michelle Obama will appear as a guest star on the fifth season of “MasterChef Junior,” with Chef Gordon Ramsay. The new season premiered this past Thursday.
We all know during her time as first lady, Michelle Obama has used her platform to promote healthy eating, and an overall healthy lifestyle. She has held numerous events both inside and outside of the White House to get our youth on the right path.
This will not be the first cooking show that Mrs. O has appeared on, in the past she has guest starred on “Iron Chef America,” “Rachel Ray,” “The Chew,” and a host of others.
Other guests to star as judges on the popular show also include, Martha Stewart and the Muppets.
The last month the Obama’s have been spotted enjoying their down time, first in Palm Springs and most recently living it up on Richard Branson’s private Caribbean island.
It will be so great to see our former first lady, as the Obama’s are deeply missed inside of the White House.
Nick Cannon Celebrates Baby Boy At Baby Shower
Nick Cannon joined his son’s mother Brittney Bell for an intimate baby shower yesterday. The “America’s Got Talent” star was all smiles as he rubbed Brittney’s growing baby in front of the lavish decorations to celebrate their new baby boy.
Although they aren’t a couple, Brittany gushed about her love for Nick and their new baby saying, “I love the both of them beyond words. So many reasons to be joyful!! But last night was one of my favorite. Our little light was showered with love.. and lots of dancing.”
Nick said he has no plans to get married again, or even get into another relationship again, but these two seem committed to successfully co-parenting their new baby. Baby Cannon will join big brother Moroccan and big sister Monroe, whom he shares with ex-wife Mariah Carey.
Queen Latifah Reveals Her Toughest Career Move Was Playing Gay ‘Set It Off’.
In a recent interview with Instyle, Queen reveals her toughest role in her movie career. She names Cleo from ‘Set It Off’.
Queen Latifah on one of her toughest career decisions: “When I got the role of amateur bank robber Cleo Sims in Set It Off, I sat down with my younger siblings and told them, ‘Listen, I’m playing a gay character. Your classmates might tease you or say negative things about it. But I’m doing it because I believe I can bring positive attention to the gay African-American community, and I believe that I can do a great job as an actor.’”
Queen Latifah on the key to living a magical life: “I used to get caught up in comparing myself, especially in terms of body type, but I realized that often the people I envied were missing important things that I had in abundance…It’s great to have plans and a vision for your life, but it’s more important to be open to the unexpected.

Demetria McKinney (“The Quad” “Saints and Sinners“) is set to star as the late legendary singer Whitney Houston.
Rising actress Joy Rovaris Sharma (“The New Edition Story“) will play the lead role of Bobbi Kristina, who passed away on July 26, 2015, six months after being found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Georgia residence.

Keyshia Cole & Boobie Gibson Join ‘Love & Hip Hop Hollywood’
According to The Jasmine Brand, the west coast franchise wanted to bring some A-list talent to the show.
A source said, “Producers wanted to bring some real A-list, music talent this season. Plus Keyshia has a huge fan base and the public’s intrigued by her life.”
Keyshia hasn’t begun filming just yet, but the show plans to focus on her balancing her music career and co-parenting with Boobie, who also has rap dreams of his own.
I’m sure the fact that Keyshia’s bestie, Remy Ma, stars on the New York franchise of “Love & Hip Hop” impacted her decision to join reality TV.
This isn’t Keyshia Cole’s first rodeo on reality TV. She had her own reality series, “The Way It Is,” in 2006, and a show with her ex, “Keyshia & Daniel: Family First,” in 2012.
Are you here for Keyshia and Boobie joining “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood?”
