Rihanna channels Fashion in Amelia Earhart-Inspired 'Harper's Bazaar' Shoot
With Rihanna's acting career taking flight, the singer channels Amelia Earhart in her latest photo shoot for Harper's Bazaar, accompanying a 1929 essay on flight fashion from the aviator herself. She also covers the publication's March 2017 "Big Fashion Issue."
The pictorial follows the announcements of several upcoming big- and small-screen gigs for RiRi, including the all-women-everything flick Ocean's Eight and the sci-fi thriller Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, along with a cameo in Season 5 of the A&E series Bates Motel.
For HB, the Barbadian beauty sports a blonde 'do and pricey accessories across the spread, including a $6,200 Tod's coat, a Stella McCartney jacket ($1,295) and pants ($1,065) as well as a $2,100 Hermès jacket.
Says Rihanna: "There's something so special about a woman who dominates in a man's world. It takes a certain grace, strength, intelligence, fearlessness, and the nerve to never take no for an answer. 'Empire' Season 4: Fox Confirms More of the Hit Drama Is Coming
Like the rest of us, Fox wants more "Empire."
The network has officially renewed the hit drama series for Season 4. The good news came from Fox Television Group Chairman CEO Gary Newman on Wednesday during a TCA event, Variety reports. Execs also revealed that we can look forward to 18 episodes when Season 4 arrives later this year.
A fourth season of "Empire" only makes sense. The show has proven popular among both TV viewers and critics. Not only has it been nominated for Grammys, Emmys, and Golden Globes over the course of its three years, the series has been averaging nearly 16 million total viewers across platforms this season -- a number larger than any other Fox series. Cookie and the Lyons family drama have definitely earned a renewal.
Season 4, of course, is still a ways a way. The show is currently on mid-season hiatus and will return in March for the second half of Season 3 with stars Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard, Jussie Smollett, Bryshere Gray, and more. The next episode airs on March 22.

After some brief rumblings last year, fans can officially get excited! Speaking with Q102 in San Francisco this past weekend, group member Mr. Dalvin confirmed on air that their biopic was definitely in the works already, the script has been written and production may start as early as next month! He also revealed that VH1 already owns the rights so it would be released on their network, potentially by the end of this year.

Hip Hop Beef? Waka Flocka Calls Out Gucci Mane On New Song, “Was My Dawg”
As promised, Waka Flocka checks Gucci Mane on his new song “Was My Dawg.”
During an interview with BBC1 Radio’s Charlie Sloth, Waka spoke about his strained relationship with his former mentor — essentially calling out La Flare and questioning the man’s heart and street cred.
“A [reunion] ain’t never happening,” Waka Flocka said. “That Brick Squad was history. I enjoyed it, I loved it, it made me who I am today. It made him who he was today. But enough is enough, man. The Internet is not the streets.”
He then ended the interview with this little gem: “Hey, since [Gucci] been out, has he shot a video in East Atlanta?
When asked about “Was My Dawg” after the artwork was revealed (clearly showing a silhouette of Gucci), Waka insisted it wasn’t a “diss” song and, instead, was simply facts on wax. “The truth is the truth,” he said. “Some stuff you gotta get off your chest or it’s gonna make you, like, an angry person.”
The song has now been released. And while Waka doesn’t mention Gucci by name, there’s no questioning who the target of the song is.

Appeals Court RULES AGAINST Donald Trump’s Travel Ban Targeting Muslims!
In a major setback for the Trump administration, a federal appeals court on Thursday declined its urgent request to restore the controversial executive order restricting refugees and travel by immigrants from a number of Muslim-majority countries.
Rejecting arguments that the government would be “irreparably harmed” if the judicial system reviewed President Donald Trump’s immigration ban, which he premised on his authority over national security matters, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit determined unanimously that the judiciary has a proper role in safeguarding people’s rights.
“To the contrary, while counseling deference to the national security determinations of the political branches,” the court said, “the Supreme Court has made clear that the Government’s authority and expertise in [such] matters do not automatically trump the Court’s own obligation to secure the protection that the Constitution grants to individuals, even in times of war.”
Citing an important Bush-era Supreme Court precedent on national security, the 9th Circuit took issue with the Trump administration’s argument that it had no business or power to review the legality of the president’s executive order ― or that it would violate the separation of powers for the court to do so.
“There is no precedent to support this claimed unreviewability, which runs contrary to the fundamental structure of our constitutional democracy,” the court said in the ruling.
The three judges who participated in the appeal ― U.S. Circuit Judges Richard Clifton, William Canby and Michelle Friedland ― did not sign their names to the opinion, but instead issued a per curiam order, possibly to avoid being singled out by Trump, who has taken to lashing out against judges ruling against his travel ban.
The president’s response to the ruling on Twitter was in all caps.
The Justice Department, which normally doesn’t comment on ongoing litigation, said it was “considering its options.”
The 9th Circuit decision effectively keeps Trump’s order from being enforced, which means one of his signature policy initiatives will remain in limbo as the litigation proceeds before the federal judge in Seattle who temporarily blocked the order’s implementation. The appeals court heard arguments in a high-stakes hearing on Tuesday.
Critically, the ruling was not on the merits of the order, but only on the technical question of whether the judge who put a national hold on the travel ban, U.S. District Judge James Robart, followed the proper procedure for temporary restraining orders ― a kind of relief that is typically not appealable. The 9th Circuit determined that the “unusual circumstances” of this case and the government’s vigorous defense of the travel ban meant the appeals judges could step in.
That still didn’t keep the 9th Circuit from noting that this fast-moving lawsuit, originally brought by the states of Washington and Minnesota, presents “serious allegations” and “significant constitutional questions” about religious discrimination against Muslims.
Though the judges declined to express a view on those issues, they noted that numerous statements by Trump promising a “Muslim ban,” and similar remarks that go beyond the letter of the executive order, could be used for weighing the order’s constitutionality at a later stage.
In an early-morning tweet prior to a law enforcement conference Wednesday, Trump appeared to prejudge the 9th Circuit’s outcome and call into question the motivations of the judges who considered his travel ban.
“I don’t ever want to call a court biased, so I won’t call it biased,” Trump said during a gathering of chiefs of police. “And we haven’t had a decision yet. But courts seem to be so political, and it would be so great for a justice system if they would be able to ... do what’s right. And that has to do with the security of our country, which is so important.”
Robart, the Seattle-based federal judge who on Jan. 30 put a temporary nationwide restraining order on Trump’s travel ban, said in his earlier ruling that there’s a high likelihood the executive order would cause irreparable harm to the states of Washington and Minnesota if he didn’t block it.
Amid an avalanche of similar lawsuits across the country, the two states sued in federal court last week, claiming that the travel restrictions violate, among other things, their residents’ constitutional rights to religious freedom and equal protection of the laws. Once Robart put the ban on hold, signaling that the states may have a strong case on the merits, the administration quickly appealed.
Scores of states, tech companies and organizations weighed in on the controversy ahead of Tuesday’s YouTube-streamed 9th Circuit hearing, during which the two sides argued why the travel ban should or shouldn’t remain in force, and whether, under the Constitution, Trump has near-unreviewable authority that the courts aren’t allowed to second-guess.
Ahead of the 9th Circuit ruling, Robart issued a scheduling order instructing the states and the Trump administration how the case would move forward. Washington and Minnesota must submit a legal brief on Thursday, the Trump administration’s response brief is due next Wednesday, and then the states must reply by next Friday. Robart has yet to schedule a new hearing.
When he does, he’ll determine whether his original restraining order should become a preliminary injunction, which, if granted, would leave Trump’s travel ban on hold for even longer ― a result that would almost certainly be appealed all the way to the Supreme Court.
But at this early stage, an emergency appeal by the Trump administration to the Supreme Court would face a big hurdle. Five justices would need to agree to reverse the 9th Circuit, and since the death of Justice Antonin Scalia last year, the court remains one member short.
In the interim, lawyers for Washington and Minnesota are already bracing for the next stage. In a letter to the 9th Circuit filed with the court on Thursday, the states said they’re ready to submit more evidence in the lower court to support their case ― and their contention that Trump’s executive order causes harm to their sovereign interests.

Last month, Fat Joe signed with Roc Nation management. Now another one of Jay Z’s former nemeses, Jim Jones, has signed with the Roc.
Following a history filled with feuds and disses, Jim Jones is officially part of the paper plane family, according to Roc Nation’s Vic Medina. “It’s a done deal,” Medina wrote on Instagram. “Jim Jones/Roc Nation.”
The announcement came with a photograph of Jones signing documents with Roc Nation’s letterhead. Jim later shared a photo of himself and Medina posing in front of the company’s famed paper plane logo.
According to TMZ, Jim’s deal allows Roc Nation to manage his businesses, including Capo’s work in music, fashion, movies, and television. He reportedly did this to show younger rappers that they can overcome personal issues for the sake of business.
The duo’s rivalry was vicious for years. It’s long been reported that Jay Z was unhappy with Cam’ron’s role in Roc-A-Fella. As Cam’s one-time friend and Dipset mate, Jones sided with Killa in that feud, leading to a beef of his own.
In 2006, Jones released “We Fly High,” his biggest record to date. Jay Z remixed the song, mocking Jim. “That’s ballin’?” he laughed. “I guess men lie, women lie, numbers don’t. It’s over for that ballin’. It’s my turn.”
Jones quickly retaliated with a remix of his own. “Hey, Jay, we appreciate you for that remix, baby,” he said. “They say imitation is the best form of flattery and I’m flattered, motherfucker. What you can do for me is tell Nas to buy you a kufi for Christmas, so I can smack that shit off your head, motherfucker. You and Nas remind me of the golden girls, two old bitches.”
Just two years ago, Jim joined Cam on yet another Hova diss track, “Victory (Freestyle).” “Ain’t nothing changed,” rapped Jones. “You stepped on the court, you gon’ play my game,” rapped Cam. “Just take shawty’s advice and say my name.”
Since then, Jim and Cam have been at odds with one another.
Jones has not released an official album since 2011’s Capo. However, he’s unleashed a slew of EPs and mixtapes, including his latest, last year’s The Kitchen. Over the years, he’s also become a fixture on reality television, both on “Love & Hip Hop” and “Chrissy & Mr. Jones.”

Hollywood’s former most eligible bachelor, George Clooney, is expecting twins with wife Amal Clooney, multiple sources confirmed to People. Julie Chen of “The Talk” spilled the beans, announcing that George told her in January that Amal was pregnant with two bundles of joy. The babies are reportedly due this summer.
“Beyoncé is not the only superstar expecting twins,” Chen said on the daytime show. “Congratulations are in order for George and Amal Clooney!”
Pregnancy rumors first started flying after Amal stepped out sporting a loose-fitting floral dress at the Netflix special screening of “The White Helmets” hosted by The Clooney Foundation For Justice on Jan. 9 in London. The lawyer, activist and author was glowing at the event with her husband by her side.
The twins will be the first children for both George and Amal, who tied the knot in September 2014 in Venice. In 2015, George admitted that he hadn’t really thought about having children, but never said never.

Katherine Jackson Alleges Ongoing Elder Abuse at the Hands of Her Nephew
Katherine Jackson claims she was the victim of years of mental abuse at the hands of her nephew and driver, Trent Lamar Jackson, to the point where she is afraid to return to her home.
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Jackson, 86, claims her nephew (through marriage) has accessed her bank accounts without her permission, used credit cards of hers for his own personal purchases without authorization, and subjected her to years of mental abuse that has left Jackson “in a constant state of fear and confusion.”
Jackson describes her nephew as “an abusive con-man” who has manipulated her in order to “assume control of her finances.”
The Jackson family matriarch says she tried to fire her nephew and order him to move out of her guest house, but he has refused. Katherine is currently in London visiting her daughter, Janet Jackson, but is “afraid to go home with Trent there” and “fears he could physically harm her for terminating him.”
A judge granted Jackson’s request for a restraining order and ordered her nephew to move out of her home and return all keys, passwords and combinations to the property.
A hearing has been scheduled for March 1st.
Calls to Trent Lamar Jackson were not returned.

Kevin Plank, The CEO Of Under Armour Faces Backlash After Speaking Highly Of Donald Trump
The latest CEO to face backlash after showing support for Donald Trump, is none other than Kevin Plank, the CEO of Under Armour.
According to the Business Insider, Plank was being interviewed on CSNBC’s “Fast Money Halftime Report,” on Tuesday.
When asked about his involvement with Trump’s Manufacturing Jobs Initiative, he said, “To have such a pro-business president is something that is a real asset for the country. People can really grab that opportunity.”
Recently Trump met with Plank and other business leaders to reportedly discuss roadblocks to business growth. Trump had signed an executive order “directing departments and agencies to identify two regulations to repeal for every new regulation proposed.”
“He wants to build things. He wants to make bold decisions and be really decisive, said Plank. He continued, “I’m a big fan of people that operate in the world of ‘publish and iterate’ versus ‘think, think, think, think, think.’ So there’s a lot that I respect there.”
Planks remarks about Donald Trump have caused people to speak out against the sports clothing/accessories company, with plans of boycotting their products.

Todd Chrisley Embraces Gay Rumors: ‘I’m Never Going to Have a Drought’
Todd Chrisley isn’t offended by the ongoing queries about his sexuality.
In an interview with The Domenick Nati Show on Wednesday, the Chrisley Knows Best star addressed rumors that he hasn’t come out of the closet and admitted that it doesn’t bother him that people continue to ask about his sexuality.
“In order for it to disappoint me, it would mean that I don’t agree with someone being gay,” Chrisley, 47, said on the radio program, “I don’t believe that’s a choice that you make. I believe that you are the way that God has made you.”
The Atlanta millionaire has been married to his wife, Julie, 44, for almost 21 years and is the father of five children: Lindsie, 27, Kyle, 25, Chase, 20, Savannah, 19, and Grayson, 10. But although the reality star has heard rumblings about his sexuality for years, Chrisley says the speculation is only positive for him — and his wife.
“I’m flattered that people think I can get laid on both ends. So, that doesn’t bother me,” said Chrisley, who added, “And my wife certainly is flattered that as many men want her husband as there are women. With that being said, I’m never going to have a drought. You on the other hand might. But Todd will never have a drought.”
Ahead of his reality show’s March 2014 premiere date, the USA Network star said about rumors that he’s gay: “There’s no coming out. … What you see is what you get. I am what I am. Other people’s opinions of me are just not my business.”
At the time, Chrisley said he’s proudly flamboyant and unabashedly enthusiastic about fashion.
“So what?” he said, noting that a man tweeted a message to him asking, “When are you going to come out of the closet?”
“I said, ‘I don’t live in a closet, but if you’d like me to escort you out of yours I’m happy to do so.’ All of a sudden the Tweet went away and he took it down because I flipped the script on him,” said Chrisley.
Chrisley Knows Best returns for a new season on Feb. 21 at 10 p.m. ET on USA.
