The Daily Buzz For Nov 4

Chrissy Teigen talks to Cosmo about her and John’s relationship
All relationships go through their ups and downs, especially celebrity relationships.
Chrissy Teigen is dishing on that one time her now husband John Legend tried to call it quits. The model/cook covers Cosmopolitan’s December 2016 issue and she’s sharing personal stories about her relationship with her Oscar winning R&B crooner.
The mom-of-one says earlier on in their relationship John tried to end it with her after he became ill while on tour. It only lasted a day and John now calls it a big mistake.
"Early on in the relationship, I was on tour with him and he’d gotten sick,” she shared. “He was feeling really bummed and stressed out. He was like, 'I can’t be in a relationship right now.' That lasted for one day. Literally, a day. I knew it came from a place other than us not working ... I always joke, 'Remember when you tried to break up with me?' He’s like, 'Yes, sorry. Big mistake.'”
Since then, the couple has seemingly been happily in love. When it comes to the ex-factor, Chrissy says it doesn’t bother her much because that was before she came along.  She's actually friends with them.  Since John seems to have a thing for models, she sometimes will run into his ex-girlfriends.
"I didn’t know it, but John used to be a notorious modelizer,” she spilled. “To me, he was the sweetest teddy bear. What’s funny is that I get along with everyone he’s ever been with. I end up really liking them. After I see them, I’ll tell him, 'Oh, I was on-set with your ex today — it was fun!' ... It was before me, so it’s fine."

We can dig it.

Chrissy’s cover hits newsstands November 8th.

#RHoA: Kandi Burruss Calls Out Porsha Williams For Propositioning Her; Says Friendship With Phaedra Parks Is “Rockier” Than Ever!
Lesbian accusations on Real Housewives Of Atlanta?! That’s a first, right? Kandi Burruss is having major drama with Porsha Williams this season which centers all around accusations about who propositioned whom for a threesome.
Kandi defended Sheree taking 5+ years to finish her McMansion. “She was doing it on her own. And she was using a lot of her own money to do it instead of financing.  I felt bad for her, because I know how it is when you’re trying to build something. Everyone else may not get it, but I get it.”
While Chateau Sheree is finally on solid ground, Kandi’s friendship with Phaedra is “rockier” than ever. “We haven’t been friends for two years now,” Kandi admitted, with a roll of her eyes. “One minute we’re cool; one minute we’re not…. It’s been that way this whole season.”

Kandi is NOT cool with is Porsha – no bones about that! A preview of season features an accusation that Kandi is secretly a lesbian and wanted to have a orgy with Porsha and Shamea Morton. Kandi argues that it was actually other way around!
“All I have to say is, if I’m a lesbian, she is too. There was never a sex dungeon. My husband and I never invited her anywhere – she actually invited US out somewhere!” Kandi fired back on Hollywood Today Live. “And I had the text messages to prove it!”
Because of the Bedroom Kandi line, Kandi feels her castmates assume viewers think she’s a freak – luckily she was able to spill the truth!

Kandi dished a bit more on Access Hollywood. “Porsha and I definitely are not in a good place right now,” she laughed.
She also shared that this season Riley will be working on her relationship with her biological father this season. “Honestly,” Kandi sighed, “they’re still trying to work that out… ” His wanting to reconnect was a surprise.
“That was something that I never really tried to bring up on the show, as far as bringing him on the show, because we have had issues, but um… this was something he chose to do,” Kandi laughs sourly. “Aaaand … it was interesting!”

One thing Kandi never hesitated to put on camera was her relationship to Todd Tucker. She occasionally worries about ‘the curse of the Housewives marriage,’ but thinks their entire relationship including cameras will make the difference.
“We didn’t have the whole pre-show vs. after-the-show,” Kandi explains, “so I think we’re gonna be better for it because we know how to handle it.” While Mama Joyce has finally gotten over her hatred of Todd, she’s “bringing the drama” in other ways! “She’s outspoken and she doesn’t bite her tongue about how she feels about some of the people on the show.”

“There’s gonna be a lot,” Kandi warns, “You gotta watch!” And watch we will this Sunday when RHOA returns at 9/8

#EMPIRE: In off news Taraji P. Henson's Ex Hill Harper Reveals Why He Didn't Marry Her
Taraji P. Henson has dated her fair share of A-listers over the years, and apparently that list includes actor Hill Harper.
According to Harper, he and the Empire star were a couple for nearly two years back in the day (shortly after she starred in Baby Boy), and they were in love. Sooo... what happened there? In a new interview with Unsung Hollywood, Harper comes clean.
“Taraji Henson and I were in a relationship for about a year and a half, two years. Wonderful relationship,” he said. “Just because you’re in a healthy, great relationship that ends doesn’t mean it wasn’t successful or it was a failure. Not all relationships are meant to end in marriage.”

Turns out, there's a reason none of the actor's relationships ended in marriage. “Absolutely I’ve had a fear of commitment,” Harper admits. “No question. Would it be born out of the fact that my parents are divorced? Probably.”

Sounds like neither of them found love elsewhere — yet.

ICYMI: Watch: Beyoncé & Dixie Chicks Perform “Daddy Lessons” At Cma Awards
Queen Bee has gone country!

After show-stopping sets at the Grammys, BET Awards, and VMAs, Beyoncé continues to dominate, as she graced the stage for the very first time at the 50th Annual CMA Awards, live from Nashville on Wednesday night (Nov. 2).
Rocking a stunning gown and pearls around her neck, Bey joined the Dixie Chicks for a not-so-surprise performance of her country-tinged song “Daddy Lessons” off her critically-acclaimed album LEMONADE. With the trio of Natalie Maines, Emily Robison, and Martie Maguire beside her, Bey repped her Texas roots, backed by her band.

“Yeah, CMAs! Hope ya’ll feeling good. Give it up for the Dixie Chicks,” she said.
The ladies rocked the banjo, fiddle, and guitar and Bey flexed her powerful pipes, receiving a standing ovation from the star-studded crowd at Bridgestone Arena.

This is not the first time the Dixie Chicks have covered Beyoncé. The group performed “Daddy Lessons” while on tour earlier this year.

New Hip Hop Video: 2 Chainz – ‘Countin’
2 Chainz makes time stand still in the video for “Countin,” a track off his recently-released mixtape Hibachi for Lunch.
Walking through a clothing store in a leopard fur coat, the dapper Tity Boi seems to be the only one able to move. As others are frozen around him, the only way for them to snap out of it is for Hairweave Killer to touch them.

“Pop a rubber band,” he raps. “Start countin’ / Buy everything on the counter / Everything I got on designer.”
The video is a representation of that hook as Chainz and his crew play with cash and walk out the store with bags full of goodies.

THE CHICAGO CUBS ARE YOUR WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!
There probably isn’t a soul remaining on the planet who watched the Cubs celebrate their World Series title 108 years ago, but plenty of witnesses will exist for years to come who can document what occurred in the early minutes of Thursday morning.
Call it what you might: Wile E. Coyote catching the Road Runner, pigs flying, apocalypse now. The Cubs officially obliterated the Curse of the Billy Goat with a 8-7 victory over the Indians in 10 innings in Game 7 of the World Series before 38,104 at Progressive Field.

“That’s one of the best games anyone will ever see,” Kris Bryant said after the Cubs scored twice in the 10th inning and then survived an Indians rally to secure the franchise’s first World Series championship since 1908. The baton was passed to the Indians, still without a World Series title since 1948, as the franchise enduring the longest championship drought in baseball.
Ben Zobrist slashed an RBI double against Bryan Shaw for the go-ahead run and Miguel Montero’s ensuing single added another.

Cubs reliever Mike Montgomery retired Michael Martinez on a grounder to third with the tying run on first base, after the Indians had scored once in the bottom of the inning, to start the celebration. Zobrist was named MVP of the series after going 10-for-28 (.357) with two RBIs.
“It was just an epic battle,” Zobrist said. “We’ve been listening to ‘Rocky’s’ soundtrack the last three games. It was like a heavyweight fight. I can’t believe we’re finally standing, after 108 years, finally able to hoist the trophy.”
Dexter Fowler, Javier Baez and David Ross all homered for the Cubs and Kyle Hendricks combined with Jon Lester, Aroldis Chapman, Carl Edwards Jr. and Montgomery for the win after a 17-minute rain delay as the 10th inning was set to begin.

“We did it despite trying to give it away,” Lester said.

The Cubs, who won 103 games in the regular season, became the first NL team to win the World Series after leading the majors in victories since the 1986 Mets.
And manager Joe Maddon’s crew became the first team to win it all after falling into a 3-1 deficit in the World Series since the 1985 Royals. The last previous team to accomplish it on the road was the 1979 Pirates.

“We have an opportunity to be good for awhile, without any of the constraints, without any of the negative dialogue,” Maddon said.
Jaws dropped in the eighth when Rajai Davis’ two-run homer against Chapman tied the score 6-6. Davis stroked a 97-mph fastball just over the left-field wall, breathing new life into an Indians dream had seemed dead just moments earlier. Brandon Guyer’s RBI double earlier in the inning had left the Indians with a flicker of hope.

“It’s going to hurt,” Indians manager Terry Francona said. “It hurts because we care, but they need to walk with their head held high because they left nothing on the field.”
Chapman had worked 1 ¹/ innings the previous night, throwing 20 pitches, but Maddon was confident before the game the lefty hadn’t overextended himself. But Chapman was in tears during the rain delay and needed a boost.
“It happened and we told him, ‘Don’t worry, we’ll pick you up,’ ” Montero said. “And we did.”
The blast was redemption for Davis, who had two shaky fielding plays earlier in the game that helped the Cubs build a 6-3 lead.

Lester, who won Game 5 for the Cubs, helped the cause by pitching three innings in relief and allowing two runs, one of which was unearned, behind Hendricks

Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky Kiss and Hold Hands in NYC
Jennifer Lawrence and her rumored her boyfriend, Darren Aronofsky, were spotted kissing in New York City.
The couple, who pretty much confirmed they were an item after they were photographed sharing a lollipop earlier this week, hit the town as they enjoyed an affectionate date night. In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Lawrence and the Black Swan director can also be seen holding hands.
If we needed any more proof that these two are in love, we’ve got it. Lawrence, 25, literally could not keep her hands off of Aronofsky, 47, who had the biggest smile on his face.
As previously reported, the two got together after working on a film together. Since then, they’ve been trying to make their relationship work away from the spotlight.

Unfortunately for them, it isn’t a secret anymore.

Watch Lupita Nyong’o Slay Salt-N-Pepa’s ‘Whatta Man’ Surrounded by Firefighters
Lupita Nyong’o brought the house down during an appearance on Lip Sync Battle, where she took on Regina Hall’s impression of The Weeknd’s “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)” with a steamy homage to Salt-N-Pepa’s classic, “Whatta Man.”
The Oscar winner pulled out all the stops as she enlisted a girl gang and shirtless firemen to back up her undeniably impressive dance moves and perfect lip-syncing.

It shouldn’t be a surprise that Nyong’o is a triple threat — we already saw her show off her skills when she dropped a hot sixteen as her rap alter ego “Troublemaker” in September.
It looks like Salt-N-Pepa is having a moment as well — between Queen Bey, Blue Ivy, and Tina Knowles-Lawson dressing up as them for Halloween and Lupita bringing back “Whatta Man,” this is their week for throwbacks.

Lil Wayne apologizes for Black Lives Matter comments
Lil Wayne made waves after saying the Black Lives Matter movement has "nothing" to do with him.
"I don't feel connected to a damn thing that ain't got nothing to do with me," the rapper told Nightline in a recent interview. He added he was young, black and rich. "My life matter, especially to my b------," he said, winking at the camera.
Lil Wayne (real name: Dwayne Carter) walked out of the TV interview shortly after, angrily telling ABC News' Linsey Davis he's not a "politician."

It's not the first time he's made incendiary comments about race. Prior to this interview, the rapper told Fox Sports he doesn't see racism because so many of his fans are white.
Twitter freshly blew up over his dismissal of the Black Lives Matter movement, with Vulture calling Wayne's comments "a flat betrayal."
Wayne backtracked Wednesday, according to TMZ, apologizing for causing offense. "When the reporter began asking me questions about my daughter being labeled a bitch and a ho, I got agitated. From there, there was no thought put into her questions and my responses," he said.

Davis had asked the rapper about his sometimes misogynistic, offensive lyrics, to which he responded: "All those same lyrics made me who I am and I am a very successful man. So, if it takes me to be degrading, then, man, please keep looking out for more, 'cause it's coming, baby."
But would he have a problem with someone calling his daughter a 'ho', she pressed.
"By a certain person, if they're coming directly at her, yeah," Lil Wayne said. "If they're calling her a b---- or a ho, I have a huge problem with that. Yeah, but I've never called a certain female that name unless I got a real big problem with her."

Wayne is currently promoting his new biography, Gone 'Til November: A Journal of Rikers Island, which details his eight-month stint in New York's Rikers Island prison in 2010 following a weapons conviction.

Mary J. Blige On Kendu Isaacs: Not knowing someone that you thought you knew for years is horrible.
Mary J. Blige On Split From Kendu Isaacs
It’s no secret — divorce isn’t fun. Just ask Mary J. Blige who is engulfed in what appears to be a messy divorce from her husband Kendu Isaacs of 13 years. In a recent interview, the singer says,\
I’m in the thick of it. I’m in the middle of a divorce that’s everywhere (in the news). It’s just how hard life is. It’s the pain, it’s the lawyers, it’s the ‘this,’ it’s the ‘that…’Not even knowing someone that you thought you knew for years is horrible.

However, Blige says that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
There’s hope in it as well, because I have to keep the joy so I can live and survive. I can’t just die with all the sadness, that’s why I’m here because I kept my joy. In spite of my pain and crying and releasing everything onstage to my fans and us healing together, I kept my joy.

Blige and Kendu married in 2003. In July 2016, Blige filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences”. The couple had no children together.

Bernie-or-Buster Susan Sarandon endorsed Jill Stein as her ‘vote of conscience’
Susan Sarandon has been having a hard time this election year. She was a die-hard Bernie Sanders supporter and when Hillary Clinton got the nomination, Susan morphed into a Bernie-or-Bust person. As in, even when Sanders endorsed HRC and encouraged all of his supporters to swing over to Clinton, Sarandon and a significant percentage of Sandernistas proudly declared that they would never, ever vote for HRC. They came to the DNC and booed and were “ridiculous,” in the words of Sarah Silverman. Sarandon became one of the most vocal Bernie-or-Busters, openly declaring that she thinks Donald Trump is a more suitable candidate than Hillary Clinton, because a Trump presidency would bring about the “revolution” faster, or something. She also believes that Hillary should have resigned from the nomination… because Russia hacked into the DNC email accounts, and something something Watergate.

So, it’s been a mess. Well, here’s some new information: Sarandon is no longer a Bernie-or-Buster. She has endorsed Jill Stein. This is Susan’s endorsement, as published on Stein’s website (I made a few minor edits for space):
I’ve been waiting for any indication that Hillary Clinton’s position on the issues that are most urgent to me, has changed. But …She does not support the $15 minimum wage. She shows no support for legalizing marijuana. She supports TPP. She has sold fracking and Monsanto. She supports offshore drilling. She has no position on the Dakota Access Pipeline. She opposes the labeling of GMOs. She opposes the breakup of big banks. She takes lobbyists’ money for campaigning. She opposes a binding climate treaty. She supports unconditional military aid to Israel.

I’m therefore very happy to endorse Jill Stein for the presidency because she does stand for everything I believe in. It’s clear a third party is necessary and viable at this time. And this is the first step in accomplishing this end.
Fear of Donald Trump is not enough for me to support Clinton, with her record of corruption. Now that Trump is self-destructing, I feel even those in swing states have the opportunity to vote their conscience.

[From Jill 2016]

For the record, I don’t feel like people/celebrities like Susan Sarandon “owe” us an explanation about who she’s voting for and why. If you want to vote for Jill Stein, go ahead and God bless. That’s your choice. And it’s my choice to judge the sh-t out of you, just like I’m judging the sh-t out of Sarandon. This line particularly irritated me: “Now that Trump is self-destructing, I feel even those in swing states have the opportunity to vote their conscience.” Are you joking? Donald Trump is not “self-destructing” in the latest polls and even Nate Silver is freaking out a bit. And spare me your “vote of conscience” bulls—t. My conscience won’t let me vote for a third party candidate – which is a de facto vote for Donald Trump – when the stakes of this election literally involves nuclear war. When the stakes are “mass deportation of millions of people” and the very real possibility that a baby-fisted orange fascist will become the leader of the free world. My vote for Hillary Clinton IS my vote of conscience.
