‘Powerpuff Girls’ Coming to Hulu In Exclusive Streaming Deal
Hulu has secured exclusive streaming rights to the entire franchise of Cartoon Network’s “The Powerpuff Girls,” the animated show about a trio of pint-sized superheroes.
Under the multiyear agreement, Hulu will add the entire “Powerpuff Girls” suite of content, which includes the reboot of the series that debuted on Cartoon earlier this year, and the full classic library of 78 episodes from the show’s original six-season run from 1998-2005. “Chowder,” another Cartoon Network original, will also be added to Hulu’s kids offering. All episodes and titles from the new iteration of “The Powerpuff Girls” will stream exclusively on Hulu starting in early 2017.
One of Cartoon Network’s most popular original series, the initial run of “The Powerpuff Girls,” created by Craig McCracken, earned two Emmy Awards (and five nominations) along with other animation honors.
In the show, the three girls — Blossom (pink), Bubbles (blue), and Buttercup (green) — are called on to protect Townsville from criminals forces using their special powers.
Turner’s Cartoon Network has renewed the new “Powerpuff Girls” for a second season, with episodes from the first season scheduled to become available to stream on Hulu in 2017 and subsequent seasons launching on Hulu after they air on cable TV. The newly reimagined series The Powerpuff Girls is produced by Cartoon Network Studios, with Nick Jennings (“Adventure Time,” “SpongeBob SquarePants”) serving as executive producer and Bob Boyle (“Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!”) as co-executive producer.
To kick off the pact, Hulu on Tuesday launched a collection of “Powerpuff Girls” specials and fan-favorite episodes from the original series, including “Best Friends Forever,” the 10th anniversary special, and a holiday special.
The deal is the latest bid by Hulu to lure subscribers by offering exclusive content aimed at kids. Its tyke-TV lineup includes all seasons of “Curious George,” as well as full libraries of “Doc McStuffins,” “Gravity Falls” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”
Hulu also offers other exclusive original programming from Cartoon Network through an existing output agreement with Turner Broadcasting. That includes full prior seasons of the network’s “Adventure Time,” “The Amazing World of Gumball,” “Regular Show” and “Steven Universe” series.

Cynthia’s mom and sister decide to stop by to support her, and Mal reveals she’s been in recent contact with Peter. This shocks Cynthia, mostly because Peter and Mal have always had an extremely tumultuous relationship. It seems now Mal has a softer heart for her former brother-in-law, noting Peter told her, “Mal, I miss my wife.” Cynthia really feels this comment, but at the same time, she wants to stay in her resolve that her relationship with Peter should strictly be one of friendship.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, Kenya and her budding relationship with Matt reaches a new level as she drives eight hours with her boo to meet his family. Kenya pulls a true Kenya by complaining about the long drive and Matt’s annoying tendencies to his family, as if they were going to agree with her for some reason. Matt’s sister, Hallison, quickly reads Kenya, asking if there’s anything about the chatterbox that bugs Matt. Strangely, Kenya tries to be the one to respond, just making matters worse, so Hallison decides to take it a step further and ask, “Are you a cougar?” Snaps to the sis for serving T-E-A at this lunch. Kenya tries to deflect this with some laughter, but even Matt’s sweet parents look for an answer to this. All in all, it gets dropped and Kenya insists to pay the bill.
What happens next is odd. The actual family reunion happens, in what looks to be a banquet hall, but it’s all shot in slow motion, with Kenya dancing with young girls. It’s a very surreal, dream-like moment, and it’s all shattered when Hallison pulls Kenya aside for some one-on-one. Before the pair can make it to their corner to talk, Hallison tells Kenya she’s reluctant about the relationship. Kenya jumps back at this, unsure as to why Matt’s sister seems to be the skeptical party in the situation. Kenya tries to express her love for Matt and ask for a chance from Hallison, but before a definitive answer can be given, Matt pulls Kenya away to take a selfie with his parents. It looks like Moore Manor isn’t the only thing that needs repairing.
‘Empire’ Season 3 Spoilers: Episode 7 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In ‘What We May Be’?
According to a synopsis via TV Guide, “old home videos” of Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) and her sisters surface forcing her “to face the truth about her father.” The description also teases that Cookie calls on her sister Candace (Vivica A. Fox) to help her plan an “elaborate family dinner.” What’s the occasion? Cookie is finally going to meet Angelo’s (Taye Diggs) mom Diana Dubois (Phylicia Rashad). The synopsis ends by hinting that Andre (Trai Byers) is behind the scenes planning “an unlikely duo.”
In a sneak peek for episode 7, seen above, Charlamagne tha God is on the radio slamming Jamal (Jussie Smollett) for falling off the music scene after getting shot by Freda Gatz (Bre-Z). “Jamal is going through it,” Smollett says in the video. “So now there’s even more to prove. This pushes Jamal over the edge.”
To help him get over his post-traumatic stress disorder, Jamal finds old videos from Cookie’s childhood to use for a song he’s working on. However, Cookie is angry he dug up the personal footage. “It makes him understand Cookie,” Smollett explains.
The sneak peek also shows Cookie’s family dinner completely falling apart. Jamal is high on pain meds, Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) is trying to play dad to baby Bella, Andre is nowhere to be seen, and Lucious (Terrence Howard) tells Diana that his wife Anika (Grace Gealey) just gave birth to his son’s baby.
In a short preview of the next episode, above, Cookie gives a little more detail about her childhood secret explaining that her father was her “life” until Lucious came into her life.
Although episode 7 seems like an exciting one, fans will have to wait two weeks to see it. “Empire” is taking another short hiatus and won’t return until Nov. 30.

Following Boyz II Men, another R&B icon is coming to Las Vegas. Legendary singer/songwriter/producer, Keith Sweat has just announced his limited residency at the infamous FLAMINGO Las Vegas Hotel & Resort.
The platinum-selling crooner will perform a limited engagement Jan. 17 through Feb. 4, 2017 in the Donny & Marie Showroom at Flamingo Las Vegas with a unique show titled, “Keith Sweat: Last Forever.”

“I been holding this record for a while,” Twista told The FADER. “When Jeremih laid his vocals on it, I knew putting this record out was going to be all about the right timing. It’s been a minute since I’ve made a feel good record, so I felt it was only right to put the homie Jeremih on it.”

Dave Chappelle will make $60M from Netflix specials
Dave Chappelle landed a huge deal at Netflix — said to be worth up to $60 million — following his hit “SNL” hosting debut.
The stand-up comic has three specials planned for the streaming giant, it was announced on Monday.
Two hail from Chappelle’s personal archive, while a third will be produced for Netflix. The shows will be released simultaneously next year, and will be Chappelle’s first specials in 12 years. The deal is the talk of the media industry.
One insider said: “Dave was offered $20 million a special. Netflix basically has a war chest for this kind of content. Whether it’s a loss or not, Dave Chappelle’s specials will get a lot of press and bring in new subscribers.”
In 2005, he famously walked away from his successful “Chappelle’s Show” and out of the public eye. But he did later joke that the move left him with $10 million in the bank, rather than $50 million.
For Netflix, the deal comes not long after it landed two stand-up specials from Chris Rock as part of a $40 million deal.
A Netflix rep said, “We don’t comment on the financial terms of our deals.”

Melania Trump’s bio now says that she never got a college degree, shock
There’s no better example of Republican voters’ hypocrisy than the curious case of Melania Trump. Melania came to America as an incorrectly documented immigrant, and spent time working illegally. She blatantly lied about her education, her work history and more. She plagiarized her first public speech. And she posed for softcore p0rnography. If a Democratic man’s wife did any one of those things, it would be the biggest scandal of the year. It would have been in church fliers and Rush Limbaugh would have devoted no fewer than eight full months to denouncing the wife a trollop, a liar, and an “illegal.” But because Melania is white, pretty and married to Donald Trump, I guess she – much like her husband – gets a “clean slate” with the media and everybody else. That’s what Melania is hoping.
Melania’s official website once claimed that she had an undergraduate college degree. During the campaign, a lot of media outlets tried to verify that claim only to come up empty. The best anyone could tell was that Melania might have gone to college for one year, tops, then she began modeling. Well, now her official bio has been changed to reflect that ever-changing story.
The official bio of Melania Trump now suggests that she did not complete a college degree in Slovenia, as she previously claimed on her own website. The future first lady’s bio on President-elect Donald Trump’s government website says that she “paused her studies to advance her modeling career in Milan and Paris.” It does not say whether she resumed or completed the degree.
As recently as July, Melania Trump’s personal site said she obtained a degree in design and architecture at an unspecified university in Slovenia, her country of birth. It did not say when or where she completed the degree but said she was working as a model at the time and “jetting between photo shoots in Paris and Milan.”
Questions began to surface earlier this year about whether this resume was entirely accurate. Blaz Matija Vogelnik, a professor who said he briefly taught her at Slovenia’s University of Ljubljana, told NBC News in August that she did not complete his course.
“She hasn’t finished university, at least not in Ljubljana,” he said. “My personal opinion is that, because she was very beautiful girl … I believe that she realized that she could gain more with that, than to have long studies.” Vogelnik noted that his former student had passed a rigorous test to gain entry to the college, and based on that he believed “her IQ was very high.”
Had she completed the course, Melania Trump’s research would ordinarily be in the university’s library, but it could not been found there when NBC News visited the college this summer. In April, GQ magazine reported that she “decamped to Milan after her first year of college, effectively dropping out.” The story included an interview with Melania Trump, as well as friends and former colleagues.

Yeah, obvious story is obvious. Of course the transition team is already trying to whitewash Melania a little bit so that she’s not seen as a lying, scandal-prone, out-of-touch trophy wife. Whoops, too late! I always wondered if Melania had lied to Donald Trump and he only found out during the campaign that she did not, in fact, have a college degree. Or did he know years ago and he cosigned the idea that she should just lie about it? Or did he not care either way? I get the feeling that Melania and Donald are not – how shall we say? – close. I don’t think they spend much time together, nor do they speak to each other all that often. She does her thing, he does his thing. And they’ll be doing their own things in different cities.
Tennessee school bus driver arrested after fatal crash
When police arrived at the scene, children were crawling out of the emergency roof escape, but many more were trapped inside the bus and had to be rescued. Police have stated that five children were dead at the accident scene and another 23 suffered various injuries. According to Kirk Kelly, interim superintendent for Hamilton County Schools the dead students were three fourth-graders at Woodmore Elementary School, one first-grader and one kindergartner. At least 12 students were hospitalized with six in the intensive care unit, and another six are in regular rooms at the hospital
Residents of the city were shocked when news spread of the accident and many went to the hospital hoping to donate blood to the injured children. A National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) team has been dispatched to investigate the accident. Chairman Christopher Hart of the NTSB told reporters that speed is being investigated very strongly as a factor in the crash. He also stated that driving conditions were clear and dry and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Walker could face additional charges as the investigation continues and the injured children attempt to recover. It is being reported that the school where the children attended will be open with grief counselors available for students and staff.
Jennifer Aniston Reveals the One Thing the ‘Friends’ Cast Hated About the Show
Jennifer Aniston revealed that she and the cast of Friends were not fans of the show’s iconic theme song.
The actress visited BBC’s The One Show on Monday (Nov. 21, 2016) to promote her new movie Office Christmas Party — and obviously, the conversation quickly turned to her time on Friends. Just like us, Aniston can’t help but get watch reruns of the hit show when they’re on TV.
“First, I’m trying to remember which episode it is, and then half the time I’m saying to myself, ‘I don’t remember that,'” she said. “You get sucked into the nostalgia of it.”
So when the theme song “I’ll Be There for You” was mentioned, Aniston made a surprising confession. “No one was really a big fan of that theme song,” she said of co-stars Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer. “We felt it was a little…I don’t know. Dancing in a pond? A fountain felt sort of odd.”
“We did it because we were told to,” Aniston added.

Steve Harvey Accused of Racism in Lawsuit and He Claps Right Back
Steve Harvey, also known as the man with 10 jobs, has been in some hot water lately as one of his former employees is trying to get $5 million out of him for some allegedly racist comments he made on tape.
According to Radar Online, the former employee, Dallas native Joseph Cooper, claims to have video tape footage of the talk show host going off in a racist tirade about white people, allegedly spewing comments like, "spit on white people," and "go assault old white women!"
Harvey, however, has responded to Cooper's claims in a lawsuit of his own. In the documents, he claims Cooper is trying to extort him by selling old videos of his comedy routines that date more than 20 years back.
"Mr. Cooper has initiated a campaign to essentially extort me and embarrass me as I start to build my entertainment career," the Family Feud host said in court documents.
To make matters worse, it is being reported that Joseph has been trying to auction off the tapes to Harvey's employers whenever he is hired for a gig to "inform them of potantially embarrassing material and or tapes and attempt to have them influence Harvey to pay for the tapes."
Joseph's gripe with Harvey is clearly personal as, in an interview with Radar Online, he calls the television personality "the worst person that's ever been on television."
Meanwhile Steve just keeps raking in the cash.
