FX's 'The Strain' Will End After Season Four in 2017
“We sincerely thank Carlton Cuse, Guillermo del Toro, Chuck Hogan and their creative team as well as the fantastic cast for three exciting seasons of The Strain,” an FX exec said in a statement. “Though we’re sad to see it go, we fully support the way in which they are crafting the fourth season’s dramatic conclusion.”
The Strain was always envisioned as a limited series and it was said that the show would get between 39 and 65 episodes when it was in the pilot stage, according to Deadline.
“Our original plan was for the series to last three years,” Carlton said in a statement. “Once we began telling that story it expanded to be more. After finishing the writing on Season 3, Guillermo, Chuck and I looked at our remaining story and felt the best version could be told in one more season. We have a fantastic plan for an exciting and climatic Season 4. We are deeply grateful to FX for supporting our vision and for allowing us to end the show on our own timetable.”

‘Empire’ Season 3 Spoilers: Rhonda ‘Does Not Go Away Immediately’ Despite Death
Empire returned to Fox for Season 3 on September 21 with a shocking twist that saw Rhonda (Kaitlyn Doubleday) fall to her death, but it turns out that we haven’t actually seen the last of Andre’s (Trai Byers) wife.
According to spoilers for the upcoming season, while Rhonda may no longer be alive following her rooftop brawl with Anika (Grace Byers), it sounds like the character will still be popping up throughout Season 3.
Empire showrunner Ilene Chaiken dished on Rhonda’s future with the drama in a new interview with the Hollywood Reporter, where she confirmed that Kaitlyn, who’s appeared as Andre’s wife since the series first began, is still very much a part of the show for now.
When asked about making the heart-breaking decision to kill Rhonda or Anika, Chaiken told the site that those behind the scenes of Empire found it “inconceivable that either one of them wouldn’t be in the show,” before confirming that Rhonda will still have a presence in Season 3.
“Rhonda dies but she’s not out of the show,” the Empire showrunner confirmed, seemingly confirming that Rhonda will live on, at least for a few episodes, in Andre’s mind.
“I’m not going to say how long that convention persists, but it’s an important part of Andre’s story and his psyche and it really tells the story of his state of mind,” continued the Empire showrunner, adding that those behind the scenes are “excited” by the prospect of keeping Rhonda alive in another state.
“Not just because we didn’t want to let go of Kaitlin, but because it felt very, very real and right to us,” she added.
While Chaiken didn’t confirm the exact details surrounding Rhonda’s continuation with the series when asked directly if Rhonda would appear in the mind of Andre, who’s battling bipolar disorder, she coyly replied, “Rhonda does not go away immediately, that’s true.”
Jussie Smollett, who plays Jamal, also confirmed that Rhonda will be sticking around on Empire for a while following her death in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“I was sad because I love Kaitlin personally, outside of the show,” the Empire actor revealed of the shocking Season 3 premiere death. “It’s always tough when you lose a character.”
When asked how much more of Rhonda fans of the Fox drama will be seeing in the coming season, Smollett teased “you never know,” but noted that Empire “is known for flashbacks and good stuff like that.”
Those behind the scenes of Empire are so far staying tight-lipped on the character’s posthumous storyline, though EmpireBooBooKitty.com previously confirmed that Kaitlyn was spotted filming scenes for Season 3 of Empire on the streets of New York back in July.
The news that Rhonda is not completely absent from the series following her death will likely come as good news to Empire fans who flocked to social media to grieve for the character after it was revealed in the show-stopping premiere that she has fallen to her death.
“[To be honest] just thinking about Empire gets me mad. Rhonda didn’t deserve to die. Boooboo kitty’s plotting ass should’ve fell of the roof,” Twitter user @NamelessJay wrote on the social media site of the heart-stopping Empire moment.
“Rhonda. Y’all I’m in tears,” Empire fan @im_royaalty tweeted out alongside two crying face emojis following the character’s shocking death. “[Shaking my head] man should’ve been Anika idgaf #Empire.”
“Shame we had to lose Rhonda. I like that we have a ‘ghost’ story, just hope it last right amount of time. #Empire,” Empire fan @tvgenius05 added.
Empire Season 3 continues with Episode 2, “Sin That Amends,” on Fox on September 28.
Music News: R. Kelly Readies ’12 Nights Of Christmas’ Album!
After announcing the project back in 2013, R. Kelly is finally coming home for Christmas. The R&B King is gearing up to release his first holiday album, 12 Nights of Christmas, next month.
Dressed in a dapper suit, holding a cigar in one hand and a drink in the other, Kellz is all smiles on the festive cover art. Featuring a beautifully-lit tree and a warm fireplace to get fans in the holiday spirit.
And it looks like a visual has already been shot. Decked out in a red and white cardigan, Kellz sings on a stoop as snow falls down in the still. “The world could use some cheer,” he captioned the pic. “#12NightsOfChristmas #NewTracks #2016.”
At the end of 2015, Kellz released the steppin’ song “Christmas Party,” which is expected to be included on 12 Nights of Christmas, set to arrive Oct. 21. Fans can currently catch Kellz on “The Buffet Tour,” which kicked off earlier this month and runs through Nov. 13 in Washington, D.C.
Hip Hop Video: The Game – ‘Pest Control (Meek Mill Diss)’
The Game’s Meek Mill disses continue to pour in, but this time in visual form. After “92 Bars” and “Pest Control,” the Compton spitter unleashes a music video for the latter, a scathing barrage of bars over Young M.A.’s “Ooouuu” instrumental.
The visual for “Pest Control” was filmed in Baltimore and kicks off with an exterminator in search of a rat. Of course, this follows Game’s narrative that Meek ratted him out in a Sean Kingston robbery investigation earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Game fires off a round of disses while running through B-More. “You jumped Quentin Miller and now you don’t scrap,” he rhymes. “It was time to go at Drizzy and now you don’t rap / Ask your bitch, she know I ‘Beez in the Trap’ / You gotta move out of L.A., I’ll put them Bs on your back.”
The video also seems to show footage of Beanie Sigel being punched at the “Bad Boy Family Reunion” concert. The brief clip comes with a caption: “Beanie Sigel admitted to ghostwriting for the Dickchasers so y’all snuffed the old head.”
So far, Meek’s only diss towards Game on wax came with his own “Ooouuu” remix. Beanie Sigel, who appeared on that song, has since said he’s got no beef with Chuck Taylor, but that he helped Mill write the diss. Beans was reportedly beaten for making this revelation by Teefy Bey, a member of Mill’s Dreamchasers crew.

LeBron James & Steph Curry Support Colin Kaepernick’s Protest, But Confirm They Will Not Join In
Two of the NBA’s biggest stars are weighing in on the Colin Kaepernick’s silent protest and revealing whether or not they’ll be joining in.
NBA champ and Cleveland Cavaliers baller LeBron James say he supports Colin’s movement, but he won’t be joining in. NBA MVP Steph Curry said the exact same thing. There were no hard feelings. They both expressed they admire Colin taking a stand and that they support him. But, they both have decided to continue to stand during the national anthem.
"Me standing for the national anthem is something I will do," James said at the Cavs' annual media day yesterday. "That's who I am. That's what I believe in. But that doesn't mean I don't respect and don't believe in what Colin Kaepernick is doing. You have the right to voice your opinion, stand for your opinion, and he's doing it in the most peaceful way I've ever seen someone do something."
King James made his own statement alongside Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony during the ESPY awards this year, raising awareness on police brutality. He talked about how the recent events with black men being killed at the hand of reckless police officers makes him feel uneasy for his own children. He added,
"For me, my personal feelings is that I got a 12-year-old son, a 9-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter, and I look at my son being four years removed from driving his own car and being able to leave the house on his own, and it's a scary thought right now to think if my son gets pulled over," James said. "You tell your kids if you just apply [the lessons you teach them] and if you just listen to the police that they will be respectful and it will work itself out. And you see these videos that continue to come out, and it's a scary-ass situation that if my son calls me and says that he's been pulled over that I'm not that confident that things are going to go well and my son is going to return home. And my son just started the sixth grade."
Sad, but all the way true.
“I plan on standing,” Steph Curry said about joining Colin's protest during the Warriors’ media day. “But like I’ve said, there are ways that everybody can affect the mindset of people around them and the awareness of what’s going on without, in that moment, with the national anthem playing, kneeling. I’ve always said I respect Colin because he took a bold step, in that regard, to continue the conversation and make it more pointed. But I do plan on standing.”
Warriors forward Draymond Green also revealed if he will join. He said, "Am I going to kneel down and put my fist up? No. I’m not. That’s no disrespect to Colin or anybody else that’s doing it. But the point is out. Like, they’ve gotten the point across. I don’t think I need to come out and do this national anthem protest because it’s already been started. It’s already a conversation."
According to ESPN, the NBA has a rule requiring all of its players to stand during the national anthem (along with the WNBA). As of now, the league hasn’t taken any action against players that have knelt during the anthem, including the entire Indiana Fever team before a playoff game last week. The NFL doesn't have this rule.
Interesting….Money talks. So we really do have 40,000,000.00 slaves…..Anywho carry on!
50 Cent Accused of Stealing Power Originally named ‘Dangerous’
Rapper 50 Cent is being sued by a pair of screen writers who claim he stole their script for his hit TV series Power...
According to NYDN writers R. Byron Hord and Curtis Scoon filed a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court this week claiming they wrote a pilot script back in 2009 for a show called 'Dangerous' about a Black former kingpin trying to go straight while maintaining his friendship with an Irish gangster.
In their lawsuit Hord and Scoon claim in 2011 they gave the script to LA based execs who pitched the series to 50 Cent but never heard back.
Now the two are suing for copyright infringement.
50 Cent, Starz and parent company CBS are all named in the suit.
DAYUM! Beanie Sigel got SLAYED by one of Meek Mills Boyz!
Just a week after Beanie Sigel appeared on Meek’s diss track aimed at The Game, a man in Meek’s crew knocked Beanie out backstage in Philly at the Bad Boy Reunion concert.
via TMZ: They got this video of Beanie laid out backstage … shortly before he was getting onstage Saturday night for Diddy’s Bad Boy Family concert in Philly. You can also see a guy getting dragged out of the area … his name is Teefy Bey, and he’s a member of Meek’s Dreamchasers.
Teefy’s copped to throwing the KO punch, and claims Beanie had to go down because he broke the “code of ethics on the street.” He doesn’t get more specific.
We’re not sure how things escalated to this point, but we’re willing to bet it had something to do with Beanie claiming he wrote Meek’s verses for him on that diss track.
WATCH HERE
Beanie also referred to himself as ‘the real king’ of Philly on stage prior to the incident…which is clearly a diss at Meek.

Gladys Knight’s Son Says Mother ‘Lacks Mental Capacity’
The business drama between Gladys Knight and her son has gotten even uglier. As previously reported, the singer’s son Shanga Hankerson has been accused of tax evasion and owing over $1 million dollars to the state, all in relation to his ‘Gladys Knight Chicken & Waffles‘ restaurant. And now, Shanga reportedly will not remove his mother’s name from the restaurant, per her request. According to Bossip,
Gladys Knight’s son is refusing to remove her name from his Atlanta restaurant chain – because he claims in new court papers – she lacks the ‘mental capacity’ to rescind the licensing deal.
Soul singer Knight had ordered her son, Shanga Hankerson, to remove her name from his Gladys Knight’s Chicken and Waffles outlets after he was accused of stealing from the business.
But the battle between The Midnight Train To Georgia singer and her son has turned even nastier, as Hankerson has now moved to block his mother removing her name from the business.
The court documents, filed Thursday and seen exclusively by DailyMail.com, say ‘Plaintiff’s claims are barred, in whole or in part, [sic] lack of mental capacity to rescind the license agreement granted to Defendants.’
Knight, known as ‘The Empress of Soul’ has no role in the business and only allowed her son to use her name under a licensing deal.
But the arrangement has soured since the Department of Revenue accused Hankerson of theft and tax evasion in June.
Federal agents raided three of the restaurants in Georgia and shut down operations.
Naomi Watts & Liev Schreiber End 11-Year Relationship
The couple released a joint statement on Monday (September 26) confirming the sad news, which comes just days after another apparently solid Hollywood couple - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie - split.
Naomi and Liev's statement reads: "Over the past few months we've come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple.
"It is with great love, respect and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship. While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy."
Reports suggest the two stars have been living apart for some time, but they are still actively raising their sons, Alexander, nine, and seven-year-old Samuel. They were last spotted together with their kids in New York City on September 13th.
Liev and Naomi never wed, but they had been together since 2005.
Schreiber recently recalled his first date with the King Kong actress, after they were introduced in at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala, and Naomi suggested they hit a club together.
Liev told Esquire magazine he felt "very embarrassed" when he arrived at the nightspot to find his soon-to-be girlfriend alongside her Hollywood pals Sean Penn and Benicio del Toro.
"I went down to this club that she told me to meet her at, and of course she was there with Sean and Benicio, and I’m kind of standing around like a bump on a log, waiting for my turn," he said. "I think I was nervous, and I felt very embarrassed being there, and self-conscious, because all these movie stars were hovering, and I felt... awkward and out of my element. And I wasn’t going to make a good impression.
"I said, 'I’m sorry, but I gotta go home'. She chased me outside and said, 'Don’t you want my digits?'"
And Naomi recalled that moment in an Allure magazine interview, revealing, "Normally I want a guy to make the first move, and he wasn't (going to)... I was wildly attracted to him and his work, so I said something cheeky as he was about to walk out. I said, 'Don’t you want my digits?' Because I couldn't possibly say, 'Would you like my phone number?'
"It made him laugh. He texted me five minutes later saying, 'Would you like to go for a drink now?' And I said, 'No, I'll meet you for breakfast tomorrow'."
We wish them the best!
