'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 9: Porsha Williams & Phaedra Parks Defend NeNe Leakes Amid Her Tax Woes
Phaedra Parks has weighed in on her Bravo The Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star NeNe Leakes’ tax problems.
It came out earlier this month that Leakes owes the IRS more than $800K after failing to pay her taxes back in 2014. Parks stopped by Dish Nation, where co-star Porsha Williams is a host, recently and chatted about Leakes reported money woes.
Parks kept it classy and responded, “That means she’s making a lot of money so don’t hate.”
As for the government possible seizing her assets, Williams stepped in and said, “She can’t lose her house for that. Her house costs way more than that.”
Co-host Gary Wit Da Tea said it is possible for Leakes to lose her home.
Williams said, “They’ll probably just put a little lien on it.”
She also defended Leakes after Gary said her clothing line must not be doing so well.
“I purchase a lot of clothes from her clothing line and I know a lot of other people do too.”
Gary insisted on throwing shade after Parks said she pays her tithes to Jesus before she pays Uncle Sam.
“You need to tell NeNe to go to Jesus,” he added. Da Brat also chimed in and broke into song.
Leakes has remained pretty silent about the news. She starred in Broadway and ABC’s Dancing With The Stars during the year she is said to have skipped out on her IRS bill.

EMPIRE: Terrence Howard Dishes On Having Kids Who Are Younger Than His Grandkids
“Empire” star Terrence Howard brought his wife Mira Pak along for an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last night. The married couple, who welcomed their baby boy Hero earlier this month, were spotted making their way inside the studio before Terrence hit the stage to chat it up with late night host. So much for those unconfirmed break up rumors.
The doting dad gushed about being a father, grandfather and how his youngest children are young than his grandchild. Yeah, at 47-years-old, the father-of-five is still getting it in.
The Oscar nominated actor lit up like a Christmas tree while talking about his newest addition, Hero. He revealed he has not circumcised his son and doesn’t plan on it. He also gushed on how his 3-year-old granddaughter likes to call his son Qirin Love “uncle baby.” Ha!
As for life as a new dad again and granddad, he talked about how his love for boobs changed when he started growing his own (due to weight gain) and his love for numerology.

New Music: Chris Brown – What Would You Do?
With all the BS that has been going on with Chris Brown lately, the R&B superstar isn’t letting the situation bring him down, instead he is turning the other cheek, and giving us some new music!
Breezy asks “What Would You Do?” on his new dance floor-ready jam, which sounds like a response to being caught-up in trouble again.
“What do you do? Fighting for your life and no one’s on your side / I can’t stand to lose / You see you’re in too deep and don’t know where to hide / I got a question: What do you do?,” he sings.
After being arrested at his Tarzana, CA home on Tuesday afternoon–for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon–Brown was released Tuesday night after posting $250,000 bail.
Just last week he released the video for his latest single “Grass Ain’t Greener,” which is off his rumored next album Heartbreak On A Full Moon.

New Hip Hop: T.I. – ‘War Zone’
Hot off the video for “We Will Not,” T.I. heads to the front lines on “War Zone,” another politically-charged single off his upcoming EP Us or Else.
Over a thumping instrumental, Tip unleashes lyrics that shine a light on police brutality and injustice. “Hands up,” he chants on the chorus. “Can’t breathe!”
Throughout the cut, the King of the South approaches these topics from a historical perspective. “I’ll be a martyr if my great granddaughter benefit,” he raps. “They pull you over ask you where your license at / Be careful reaching for it, you know you can die for that / This ain’t nothing new, they got cameras just so you can see the shit that got Dr. King and Abe Lincoln asking where the freedom at.”
Later, Tip also addresses the prison system’s tribulations. “I want what’s best for the country,” he says. “You rather send it to hell / How you get free labor from ni**as you sending to jail / Modern day slavery still.”
The track follows the protest-inspired video for “We Will Not,” which featured scenes from rallies across the country over police brutality. “We sick of the garbage you kickin’ and teachin’,” he raps. “And lynchin’ us / Lockin’ us up for no reason, they killin’ us.”
Both “We Will Not” and “War Zone” are set to appear on Tip’s politically-motivated EP Us or Else, which is scheduled to arrive soon.

Mary J. Blige to Guest Star In ‘How To Get Away With Murder’
The Wiz Live! star and multiple Grammy winner Mary J. Blige is set to guest star on the upcoming third season of Shondaland’s How To Get Away With Murder on ABC.
Details of her role and the storyline for Season 3 are being kept under wraps, but in an earlier interview with Deadline’s AwardsLine, star Viola Davis said there will be “a new mystery” in Season 3, “and it’s going to be presented very quickly in the first episode.” Davis also added, with that new mystery, creator Pete Nowalk “explores the relationships in a much deeper way.”
Blige has been making the transition from a mega-career as singer-songwriter to acting: she just finished Dee Rees-directed Mudbound, alongside Jason Mitchell, Jason Clarke, Garrett Hedlund and Carey Mulligan. She starred earlier this year as Evillene in The Wiz Live! on NBC, a role that earned her a Critics’ Choice TV Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Movie Made for Television or Limited Series. Blige also appeared in the Season 1 finale of ABC’s hit comedy series black-ish. She is repped by Shakim Compere and CAA.
Prince’s ex claims he lived on ‘cocaine diet’
Prince’s ex,Charlene Friend, claims his late half-brother Duane Nelson once told her the singer lived on a “cocaine diet.”
Friend insists she never witnessed the late singer — who died in April at 57 from an overdose of the narcotic fentanyl — taking drugs, but has said the star’s half-brother, Nelson, who died in 2013, alleged the Purple Rain hitmaker used to take illegal substances.
She said Nelson once told her, “‘We call it the cocaine diet.’
“It was shocking to me to hear that. He hid it so carefully. I never saw him take even an aspirin. He seemed so health-conscious, always taking vitamins like echinacea and goldenseal.”
The 44-year-old interior designer — who dated Prince for two years after meeting him in 1989 — also claimed the star went up to five days without sleep but when he did get some shut-eye, he covered the windows in aluminium foil to make sure the room was pitch black and turned the heat up to 80 degrees.
She added to PEOPLE: “He would sometimes stay up for five days at a time without sleep, food or even water, going nonstop back and forth to the studio.
“I had to sneak in catnaps to keep from passing out from exhaustion. The first time that happened, I asked him, ‘How do you do this?’
“He would be shaking all through the night. The first time that happened, I asked him if he was having a nightmare and he said, ‘No. I was dreaming music.’ Even in his sleep, the music just poured out of him.”
Friend also admitted she heard speculation from mutual pals saying Prince was “taking pills to come down” from the high he got from performing.
“Nothing could match the highs he got from his shows. Coming down afterward made him feel empty. Perhaps drugs filled that void,” she said.
In 2003, Friend sued Prince for emotional distress and defamation, claiming she was psychologically abused during their relationship.
She claimed in court documents: “Prince informed me he took sexual relations very seriously. He believed he was the Messiah and if you engaged in sex with him, you became one with him.
“He would have me dress in his clothing at his whim. His staff [was] not allowed to look at me and I was not allowed to look at them.”
But Prince won the case after his legal term proved he was the victim of a “spiteful lawsuit.”
Donald Trump NOT Speaking at Black Church in Detroit As He Claimed
*Donald Trump said Monday he would be delivering his first speech before members of a black church in Detroit, but it looks like that’s not happening quite as advertised.
Trump’s hype man, Pastor Mark Burns, had said in a statement that the GOP presidential nominee would attend Great Faith Ministries to address churchgoers to “outline policies that will impact minorities and the disenfranchised in our country” and answer questions “that are relevant to the African-American community.”
But according to the Detroit Free Press, Trump’s “appearance” will consist of a one-on-one interview with the church’s pastor Bishop Wayne T. Jackson on the church’s Impact Network, which won’t air to the public until at least one week after it’s taped.
“He’ll be here Saturday. He’s going to sit in service and have the experience in the black church, and then he and I will be in this office and do an interview for the Impact Network that will be aired later on,” Jackson told the paper. “Just like any visitor, there will be fellowship at the service, and he can talk to people one-on-one.”
Jackson, who told the Detroit Free Press that he has always voted for Democrats, said he plans to ask Trump if he’s a Christian, and if he’s racist.
“He needs to come to African-American communities,” he told the paper. “You can’t talk to African Americans in white venues.”
However, Jackson still believes Trump’s visit, which may include a private meeting with a small group of church-goers, will be beneficial in some way.
“My congregation trusts my judgment,” he said. “They know that I’m not going to put anything or anyone in front of them that I feel is going to be harmful, and I feel we should have an educated conversation about what you’re going to do.”
