Spike Lee's Michael Jackson Block Party is This Weekend in Brooklyn!

Spike Lee's Michael Jackson Block Party Returns to Brooklyn This Weekend!
“Brooklyn Loves Michael Jackson” kicks off on Aug. 27 at Stuyvesant Avenue between Lexington Avenue and Quincy Street — the intersection also known as “Do the Right Thing Way.”
The free block party returns for its sixth year in the borough, hosted by Lee and rapper and radio host Sway, with tunes from DJ Spinna, according to a video announcement on the director’s Instagram page.

“DIS IZ GONNA BE EPIC,” the caption reads.
The festivities, which in previous years have been held at Restoration Plaza and Prospect Park, coincide with what would have been Jackson’s 58th birthday on Aug. 29.

At last year’s Bed-Stuy party, Lee unveiled “Do the Right Thing Way,” a street co-named after his iconic film.
A representative for 40 Acres and Mule Filmworks, the director’s production company, could not be immediately reached for comment.
“Brooklyn Loves Michael Jackson” will take place on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 12 to 6 p.m. on Stuyvesant Avenue between Lexington Avenue and Quincy Street. Here's a sample from a previous one below
