Gospel Great Hezekiah Walker Inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame!
GRAMMY® Award-winning gospel composer and Bishop Hezekiah Walker, is still reeling from his exciting induction into the Gospel Music Association’s Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
“I woke up this morning still overwhelmed,” wrote the “Every Praise” singer on Instagram Thursday.
On Tuesday evening, GMA honored both music greats and charitable organizations during its annual "GMA Honors" ceremony in Nashville, held at Lipscomb University's Allen Arena.
Aside from Bishop Walker, this year’s class included Howard Rachinski, founder of Christian Copyright Licensing International; Southern gospel singing group, The Nelons and gospel singer/songwriter Russ Taff.
“To everyone who supported thank you and much love from me to you!” continued the 53-year-old Overseer of Love Fellowship Tabernacle Kunjol Ministries in Cape Town, South Africa.
There were many high-profile tributes and performances throughout the evening from Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott and the Scott Family, Donald Lawrence, Amy Grant, Jason Crabb, Donnie McClurkin, Tye Tribbett, JJ Hairston, Jordan Smith, Michael English, Richard Smallwood, Selah, and Travis Cottrell.
The star-studded ceremony was taped and will air on JUCE TV June 5 at 9 p.m. CT and June 8 at 8 p.m. CT.
