#RHOA: The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8 Sees Bailey Question Williams’ Concern, Noelle Confronts Peter Thomas About The Video

The drama continues in The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8. Peter Thomas and Cynthia Bailey have had their share of problems in the past, but what Bailey isn’t being able to understand is, why Porsha Williams getting so involved in their issue on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8.

The finale of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8 saw the episode Secrets Revealed, where Bailey directly asks Williams why she is concerned about her knowing about the affairs that Thomas has had.
Bailey was seen talking to her sister, Mallorie and she said that while Porsha Williams had repeatedly claimed that Peter Thomas had cheated on a large number of women, there hasn’t been anyone who has come out to validate this fact. Bailey said that the reason for Porsha’s interest on Peter Thomas is because he is good friends with her ex-husband, Kordell Stewart and the two of them are also business partners.

The segment called Secrets Revealed also showed the physical altercation that Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams had while on a boat ride. According to Enstarz, Bailey hit Williams because she claimed that Peter was cheating on her. Williams and Bailey were stopped from approaching each other thereafter because of the history of violence that the two of them share.
Williams said that she had to go and tell Bailey what Peter was up to, but Bailey said that she didn’t care about it since she and Peter weren’t together anymore. However, Bailey has made it very clear that the two didn’t break up because Peter had been cheating on her. They decided to call it quits since Bailey was in Atlanta, while Peter had to say in Charlotte, N.C where he manages the sports bar jointly owned by him and Stewart, Sports One.

Peter Thomas was left red-faced when a video of his feeling up another woman was leaked. He had to explain himself to his wife, Cynthia Bailey on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8. He might have tackled Cynthia, but he has to deal with his step-daughter, Noelle. Noelle is one of the few kids who have grown up in the show, The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

She is grown up now and has seen the video that went viral on the social media. Noelle confronted Peter Thomas and said that she was very disappointed. She also said that he was completely intoxicated in the video and looked sloppy and irresponsible.
She went on to advise him on how to handle his drink. She said that Peter might be 50 years of age, but he has to be careful with his drinks since he is well aware of how it affects people. Peter confessed that he had never cheated on Cynthia and apologized to his family for the behavior.

EMPIRE Recap: Dwight Walker's Revenge
When Empire strips everything down and deals with the particulars of running a music company, it really shines. "Time Shall Unfold" attempts to be Empire's version of "Guy Walks Into an Advertising Agency," and tracks the Empire gang as they prep for the shareholders' meeting.

For some reason, the episode opens with Thirsty going to visit Lola on the playground and snatching a lock of her hair because … sure, I guess. Empire loves its tangled family trees. We all know that Lola is going to turn up as someone else's baby and that Thirsty is just going to Rosencrantz himself all over the country doing Lucious' bidding.

Back in New York, Rhonda is sitting on the floor and eating pasta with the absolute last person she should be hanging out with, Boo Boo Kitty. (Also, they are CLEARLY eating pasta but Boo Boo Kitty clears away Chinese take-out containers. Where did they order from? P.F. Olive Garden?) Women with other adult women as friends, do you do this? Sit on the floor with your legs under your coffee tables and eat take-out? I sit on my damn couch. Rhonda tells Boo Boo Kitty that Reverend Otis sees that Andre needs medical help and that Andre has stopped insisting that Rhonda was pushed. He probably shouldn't, though, because that totally happened. Andre visits and says that they should rent a small apartment and start scheming again. The couple that schemes the downfall of their relatives together, stays together. Boo Boo Kitty is in the bathroom hurling chunks because don't forget, she's pregnant. It's been some unidentified amount of time and she isn't showing yet, but morning sickness, am I right? Boo Boo Kitty tells them that the father is Hakeem. Even though this is irresponsible and ruinous, in the words of Aaron Burr, we're doing this.

Lucious has a whole bunch of old white people into his home to show off his new music video, "I am a White Walker" — err I mean "I am Dwight Walker" — and a shareholder tells him that they all want Lucious back in charge. Hakeem is cool, I guess, and he always order thai for lunch, but Lucious is Empire despite the silhouette in the logo. Cookie shows up and tells him that she's not ready for another war, even though it's been nothing but war since Cookie got out of jail. She's trying to get the family back together and reminds Lucious that he totally killed Chris Rock in prison.

Speaking of Chris Rock, his daughter is working in a barbershop while Jamal plays songs from the Whisper-Shout EP on his iPhone. If Jamal were trying to sell CDs out of his backpack, it would be the most accurate depiction of a barbershop on television. After Jamal and Freda work on the track list, a random dude sits in Chris Rock's chair and Freda pistol-whips him. There's a lot of talk of Freda's violence, but that's all we see this episode. She's remarkably chill with Jamal.
Back at headquarters, Hakeem prepares for the shareholders' meeting and barks orders at an employee named Chicken. Cookie doesn't think it's a good idea for Jamal to work with Freda, then Andre takes a break from browsing Airbnb to say he's ready to get back to work. One wrong word, one wrong number, and the whole thing can come crumbling down. That is called foreshadowing, folks. And because this show can't leave Chekhov's gun in the drawer, Thirsty gets two cartoon guns to rob the Antony & Cleopatra warehouse. Hakeem bursts into Lucious' office and says he knows it was him when Guadeloupe calls and says all the microphones and speakers were confiscated by the police because there were drugs in them. According to Lucious, it was a boss move.

Cookie has set up a surprise for Jamal … and it's Nicki Minaj knock-off named Stacey Run Run. Who came up with that name? They should be fired. But Stacey Run Run is a dark-skinned curvy bitch with a lollipop whose entire look is flawless and she's not in the episode enough. Unfortunately, Stacey Run Run needs to be the only female rapper on the album so Jamal has to drop Freda. This should go well. (Surprise! It does actually go well.)

Lucious takes Andre to see Kelly Rowland's grave and Andre monologues at it. Again, Andre's scenes are the only ones with any emotional heft. Bless you, Trai Byers. Nothing seems to faze you, not even when the writers give you lines like, "Medical science has made things more hopeful." Lucious tries to convince Andre to go against his brothers and he sort of agrees.

Andre and Rhonda gather the whole family to make a big announcement. They bring in Boo Boo Kitty and she announces that she's pregnant. Cookie hits Hakeem over the head for not using a condom. Great parenting. Boo Boo Kitty wants her son to be an heir to the Lyon fortune and Jamal straight-up calls out everything by going "With all this talk of heirs, it's starting to sound like a Shakespearean play." It's like seeing a lizard look into the mirror and try to fight its reflection. Boo Boo Kitty tries to apologize to the family and Cookie tells her, "GIRL BYE." Cookie, you're dressed like a zebra schoolmarm. You're everything to me.

It's time for the shareholders' meeting and Tiana is doing her best impression of Ciara circa 2002 and all the old white people in the crowd are getting down! Look at them! They're even clapping on the two and four! Cookie introduces Hakeem and he takes questions from two black girls in the crowd who have an Empire investment club, which is just the blackest thing ever. After Lucious went to intimidate Boo Boo Kitty, he interrupts the shareholders' meeting with his own solid gold microphone like The Rock during a late '90s Smackdown.
Lucious becomes the New York Daily News to Hakeem's Bernie Sanders by pestering him with difficult but reasonable questions and making him address the needs of black women. Dang, that's a powerful ass metaphor. I'm gonna treat myself to some Phish Food after this recap.

My new favorite character, Claire Templeton, a school teacher and Empire shareholder, says that what Empire really needs is Lucious at the helm and the crowd chants his name. Cookie brings them together and makes them shake hands, which makes the crowd jump to their feet. Andre reveals to Rhonda that he orchestrated the whole thing and they make out.

The next day (or maybe not, since the passage of time is iffy on this show), Hakeem is voted out by the board and Lucious is ready to be put back in power. Jamal is in the studio and Stacey Run Run has recorded her side of the track, so now he can finally just finish it. This lil' sensitive artiste just can't work without collaborators, though, and every time he looks at the empty mic stand next to him, he loses his mojo. Just move it out of the studio! He tries to get Freda back, but she calmly turns him down. So much for that violent streak.

Finally, in the most mind-fucking-boggling scene, Thirsty visits a literal old folks' home in Pennsylvania looking for … LEAH WALKER. LUCIOUS' DANG MOM. Thirsty hands the orderly a stack of cash to make sure this old woman who doesn't seem to be too connected to reality doesn't … break out of the old folks' home, I guess? All I have to say is WHAT WHAT WHAT THIS IS A TWIST TOO EXTREME EVEN FOR EMPIRE. First, Lucious lies about his name. Now, his mother is alive. I hope the season finale reveals that Lucious is really Zoe Saldana with a nose prosthetic.

President Obama Mourns Death of The 'Creative Icon' Prince
"Few artists have influenced the sound and trajectory of popular music more distinctly," the president said

President Barack Obama responded to the death of Prince, calling the musician a "creative icon."
Noted Prince fan — and president of the United States — Barack Obama paid his respects to the singer in the aftermath of his death at age 57 Thursday.
The president, who just wrapped up a tense visit with leaders in Saudi Arabia and is now on his way to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's 90th birthday in London, said in a statement posted to Facebook, "Today, the world lost a creative icon. Michelle and I join millions of fans from around the world in mourning the sudden death of Prince. Few artists have influenced the sound and trajectory of popular music more distinctly, or touched quite so many people with their talent. As one of the most gifted and prolific musicians of our time, Prince did it all. Funk. R&B. Rock and roll. He was a virtuoso  instrumentalist, a brilliant bandleader, and an electrifying performer.
"'A strong spirit transcends rules,' Prince once said," Obama added. "And nobody's spirit was stronger, bolder or more creative. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, his band and all who loved him."
Last summer, Prince played alongside Stevie Wonder at a private party at the White House for the Obama family and about 500 friends and supporters.

Obama was joined in mourning the pop star's death by other politicians, including Sen. Al Franken, who represents Prince's home state of Minnesota. "Prince got his start in a Minneapolis jazz band and went on to share his talent throughout Minnesota and the entire world," Franken said in a statement. "His artistry, innovation, and unparalleled presence inspired — and will continue to inspire — millions of people. To say he'll be missed is an understatement. My thoughts are with his loved ones."

John Ridley and Idris Elba Team Up for Showtime Political Drama, 'Guerilla'
American Crime creator, John Ridley, has partnered with heartthrob movie star, Idris Elba, for a six part limited series set during UK's Black Power movement in the 1970s. The political drama, titled Guerilla, has been greenlit by Showtime and Sky Atlantic, according to Deadline.
Guerilla tells the love story of a politically active couple during one of the most politically explosive times in U.K. history. Their relationship and values will be tested throughout their journey to target the Black Power Desk, a true-life, secretive counter-intelligence unit within Special Branch dedicated to demolishing all forms of black activism. It’s been reported that Ridley has written most of the episodes and will direct the first two.
In addition to co-starring, Elba will executive produce the series through his Green Door Pictures.
“We’re excited to partner with our friends at Sky to bring a fascinating and unexplored story spearheaded by John and Idris, two creative talents at the top of their game,” said Showtime’s David Nevins. “Guerilla will surely keep our audience at the edge of their seats.”

Sources say, Guerilla has been a passion project for Ridley, he told Deadline, “I’m a child of the 70s and witnessed things in the US like the Black Panther Party, Black Liberation Army, the Weather Underground” He added, “These events are starting to no longer be a current but a distant history, we don’t want those stories and perspective to fade into the past.”

The project has become very important for both Ridley and Elba, whose father was an activist.

Is Facebook throwing SHADE at The Shade Room? Page has been DELETED?
Facebook Deletes The Shade Room’s Account for Copyright Violations

The Shade Room*Fans of the popular gossip outlet The Shade Room were shocked to check in with the site on Monday, only to find it had been deleted without explanation.

The Shade Room is one of the biggest gossip news sources (initially launched via Instagram), and known for breaking news about black celebs, wannabe’s, has-beens and flunkies. Some wonder if the folks who run the site have a life outside obsessing over celebrities, as they keep a keen eye on EVERYTHING black entertainers do, including the most trivial and mundane.

Last December, BuzzFeed profiled TSR founder Angie Nwandu, in a piece that highlighted the site’s “increasing popularity,” and its “increasing potential” for being sued over copyright issues.
Now that “potential” has become a reality, as Facebook deleted TSR’s account for “copyright violations”
Most of the photos it posts are from celebrities’ social media accounts, but The Shade Room also posts photos without attribution – a move that could result in hefty legal fees.
“Sometimes we’ll use Getty and things like that,” Nwandu said. “We try to stay away from using the professional photos all the time, but we want to get to a place where we can just buy photos.”

After the Facebook deletion, The Shade Room briefly set it’s Instagram page to private, and for a short period, links to Instagram from their Twitter account led to an error page.
A Facebook rep confirmed that The Shade Room’s account was deleted because it violated Facebook’s standards. The rep also stated that TSR can go through an appeals process to have its page restored.
Having a page removed temporarily or permanently can have a tremendously negative affect on a brand, as many publishing companies and bloggers rely on distribution on Facebook to help increase visibility.

all the publishers who say they’d start their next media company as a Facebook page take note…

Whole Foods Sues Man for Lying About Gay Slur On Cake
Whole Foods is suing a customer who claimed his cake was decorated with a gay slur written on it in icing.
Pastor Jordan Brown, who leads the Church of Open Doors, accused Whole Foods bakery of selling him a cake with the words “Love wins” and “fag” written in icing.

Surveillance video shows Jordan at the checkout counter holding a cake with a UPC code label on the top of the cake box. Brown tweeted a photo of the same cake that shows the UPC label affixed on the side of the box.
“After a deeper investigation of Mr. [Jordan] Brown’s claim, we believe his accusations are fraudulent and we intend to take legal action against both Mr. Brown and his attorney,” the company said in a statement to the Austin Statesman newspaper.
Brown’s attorneys presented photos of Brown at the time of purchase holding the cake with the label on the side of the box.
But Whole Foods stands by the surveillance footage.
“After reviewing their security footage of Mr. Brown, it’s clear that the UPC label was in fact on top of the cake box, not on the side of the package,” Whole Foods said in a statement. “This is evident as the cashier scans the UPC code on top of the box,” the company said.
Whole Foods pointed out the bakery member who decorated the cake is “part of the LGBTQ community.”
“We stand behind our bakery team member,” the company stated. “We appreciate the team members and shoppers who recognize that this claim is completely false and directly contradicts Whole Foods Market’s inclusive culture, which celebrates diversity.”

Cornell University Under Fire For Deal To House Afrika Bambaataa Music Collection
It sounded like a good idea at the time — but that was before the sexual abuse allegations.
Cornell University announced in March that it would house Afrika Bambaataa’s massive vinyl collection to make the records available to researchers and students. But the Ivy League school is now under fire for its relationship with the hip-hop pioneer after several men accused him of sexual abuse.

“If Cornell accepts anything from Bambaataa, that’s like it is telling the world it supports child molesters,” says Ronald Savage, a former music industry executive and Bronx Democratic Party activist. Savage is one of four men who told the Daily News they were sexually abused by the music icon when they were teens.

Meanwhile, radio DJ Troi (Star) Torain started a Change.org petition this week that asks Cornell to sever its ties to Bambaataa until the allegations made by Savage and the other men are resolved.
Bambaataa, whose 1982 hit “Planet Rock” helped turn hip-hop into an international art form, joined forces with Cornell in 2012, when the university appointed the music legend to a three-year term as a visiting scholar.
Under the terms of the appointment, Bambaataa was required to visit the school’s Ithaca campus several times a year to speak to students and perform the music he helped create during the 1970s.
Cornell announced on March 23 that the university’s library, home to the nation’s largest collection of records, flyers, photos and other artifacts documenting the rise of hip-hop, would house the massive record collection Bambaataa, 59, used to create a new form of music that exploded out of the South Bronx.
“In preserving Bambaataa’s archive and making it open and accessible, Cornell University Library will support a growing body of international scholars and educators who study hip-hop not only for its global influence on popular music, art and style, but also its role in articulating social and political issues,” rare book and manuscript curator Katherine Reagan said in a press release.
Savage struggled privately with depression for decades, but he broke his silence less than a week after Cornell announced it had accepted Bambaataa’s 20,000-record collection with an explosive March 29 interview on Torain’s “Star Chamber” YouTube channel that has rocked the hip-hop world.

Savage said he is talking publicly about his abuse because he supports the Child Victim Act, a bill by Assemblywoman Margaret Markey (D-Queens) that would eliminate the statute of limitations in sexual abuse cases and open up a one-year window for older victims to pursue litigation.

He also supports a bill sponsored by Senate Minority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins (D-Yonkers) and Sen. Brad Hoylman (D-Manhattan) that would also remove the 90-day window required to file a notice of claim — the first step in a lawsuit — against a public school that employs a sexual predator. The Catholic Church, the primary opponent of Markey’s bill, has long argued that the 90-day requirement for public entities was unfair to private institutions.

Shannon Brown Responds to Cheating Allegations
Monica Brown‘s husband Shannon Brown responded to cheating allegations with a strongly worded post on Instagram Monday night.

The 30-year-old father-of-two took to his Instragram account to address the allegations after a 2nd Instagram model came forward claiming the former L.A. Laker fathered her two children.
Shannon posted an Instagram.com photo of a totaled Bentley along with the caption:

“I survived this, so you already know I could give two f*cks about the lies they tell or the people that believe them. I got my own back. #InCaseYouWasWondering”

Like the first groupie who claimed to be Brown’s mistress, the 2nd groupie failed to provide substantial proof to back up her allegations.
Suitable proof includes text messages (showing a partially obscured phone number) or photographs of Brown or his personal property. Without these receipts, neither groupie can be taken seriously.
But something is amiss between Shannon and Monica.
According to a close family source Monica and her children have been staying with her mother, Marilyn Best, temporarily, while she and Shannon work out their differences. Mo also removed her wedding ring during an appearance in Raleigh, NC over the weekend.

Meanwhile, the 35-year-old R&B Diva posted a video of her son, Romelo, riding a 4-wheeler with Shannon’s mother, Sandra Brown, at Shannon and Monica’s Atlanta home on Monday. The video was shot by Monica’s 10-year-old son Rocko.

The source speculates that Sandra Brown is staying at Shannon’s house to cook and clean for her son since Mo moved out temporarily.
