Jourdan Dunn Talks Fashion and being a Mom In ELLE UK
Supermodel Jourdan Dunn is gracing a new magazine cover. The British beauty rocks a Miu Miu silk top and a Vivienne Westwood on the cover of ELLE UK’s April 2016 issue.
Inside, the 25-year-old model opens up about the black woman’s presence in fashion and the guilt a working mother often feels.
While Jourdan has been slaying the modeling game and nabbing a spot on Forbes list of top-earning models, she still feels diversity is not fully inclusive in fashion. She said,
"There are definitely a lot more girls of colour being represented. But I also feel like we’re 100% still not there. I want to see us get to a place where seeing a black girl, anywhere, is not such a big deal. Why can’t it just be the norm to see black models in campaigns and on covers and runways? It’s still too much of a big thing when this happens.”
As the mother of a six-year-old son, named Riley Dunn, Jourdan said she sometimes feels guilty when work calls and she has to leave her son, who battles sickle cell anemia. The Sickle Cell Disease Association of America ambassador dished on balancing her career and caring for her son's needs. She said,
"The one thing about parenthood no one ever warns you about. They tell you about the sleepless nights, but no one ever warns you about the guilt. He was just in the hospital last month, but I’m fortunate that he’s quite well. So if something happens at work and I don’t get an opportunity, it’s fine. I’m not gonna cry about this stuff. I’ve got bigger things to think about, like my son and if he’s OK and keeping him out of the hospital. Ultimately, I look at it like this: I am my son’s lifeline. Mummy needs to work to put food on the table and pay his school fees. So I always keep that in the back of my mind.”
We’re sure it’s hard having to leave her son behind, especially when he’s sick. We're glad she has a good support system to help care for him.

#RHOA: Queen Kenya Moore Fuels Pregnancy Rumors – Says Her Pants No Longer Fit!
I think it’s safe to say that either Kenya Moore is pregnant or she’s just milking the attention and fueling the rumors!
Kenya obviously knows that the pregnancy rumors are out there as costars such as Phaedra Parks have been talking about them and the blogs have been commenting on the rumors as well.
Kenya recently took to her Instagram page dropping hints saying that she “has a secret” and even more telling, recently posted a video saying that she was lying down trying to zip up her pants as they didn’t fit!
Now either Kenya knows that everyone is talking about the possibility of her being pregnant and is loving the attention, or she really is expecting and is dropping not so subtle hints until she is ready to make her big reveal (my money is still on the reunion special!)
After the pants fiasco, Kenya posted the following photo once again mentioning how difficult it was to fit into her pants that night with the caption “the pants that gave me hell zipping!”:
In the photo Kenya certainly doesn’t look pregnant; however it could be that she is still early on and isn’t showing yet.
Kenya has been a polarizing housewife – you either love her or hate her! Despite all of the drama she causes and her over the top behavior, I do think she is ready to start her own family as we’ve seen her attempt to make peace with the family she never had growing up. No doubt she is looking to break that cycle!

#EMPIRETEA: Trai Byers Wants to Quit ‘Empire’?
THIS JUST IN! In a story I hope isn't true! Is Trai Byers ready to throw up the deuces and leave ‘Empire’. According to a Page Six source, the actor, who plays Andre on the hit Fox Show, is ready to exit stage left.
An insider tells the outlet:
"Trai wants out. He feels that he studied at Yale and he’s a ‘true thespian’. The character is beneath him. He has an idea of himself as being this big Shakespearean actor."
Sources say he doesn’t agree with the direction the show’s taken.
"At first, being on ‘Empire’ was major for him. But he feels his character is not as important this season, and he hates not being the star. He thinks he has the acting chops of Taraji and Terrence. He doesn’t get how the show benefits him, and he feels he has way too much talent when he’s not the star by any means."
Another insider added:
"Trai threw a temper tantrum during filming in the past few weeks, saying, ‘I don’t get to do enough, I might leave.’ But producers called his bluff and said, ‘Fine, if you’re not happy, we don’t need you.’ He thinks he is a brilliant guy who deserves a better role, but he’s hardly one of the most popular or dynamic actors on the show."
According to the report, Trai auditioned for a new Muhammed Ali movie, but after not getting the role, he fired his team. Another source says that Trai has no plans to leave,
"It’s the last week of filming the season, and he’s not quitting, nor is he being fired, for now."
Trai has yet to comment publicly.
MUSIC NEWS; Alicia Keys Under New Management, Preps Album For 2016 Release
After taking a hiatus as a mom to two sons (1-year-old Genesis and 5-year-old Egypt), Alicia Keys is prepping her musical return; according to Billboard the NY-bred Grammy-winning songstress has hired new management in preparation for a career comeback.
After being signed to Maverick Management in 2014, Keys has ended their relationship and has appointed her longtime co-manager Erika Rose as her main manager. She’s been an active business partner with Keys and the star’s company AK Worldwide, being an integral part in Keys’ album releases, world tours, film and stage productions, as well as philanthropic projects.
In a statement, Alicia says, “Erika has played an instrumental role in my artistry since day one. She is a strategic manager who makes smart decisions and understands the balance between business and creative endeavors. I feel a great sense of trust and clarity knowing she will be holding the reins of my career as my business partner. This is the best music I’ve made yet and the best time of my life is yet to come.”
Billboard also reveals Keys plans to release a new album this year. It will be her first in four years since 2012’s Girl On Fire
Hip Hop News: Lil Wayne Reveals New Song With Chance The Rapper In The Works
While we excitedly wait for Lil Wayne's collaborative project with 2 Chainz, Collegrove, for which Kanye West announced the release date and cover art, we've just received word of some more Lil Wayne music to get excited about.
It's no secret that Weezy F has been coming correct with his featured verses as of late-- some might say they're stronger than all the projects he put out last year, with guest verses for Curren$y ("Fat Albert"), Mannie Fresh ("Hate"), Yo Gotti ("Bible") making their way online as of late and reminding us of just how strong a Weezy feature can be. With that in mind, we're quite excited to find out what he did for a new Chance The Rapper song.
Lil Wayne took to a new live streaming platform called LiVideo, last night, where he revealed that he's working on a feature for Chance-- this isn't the first time the two have collabed, you'll recall Chance appeared on one of the strongest records off Dedication 5, "You Song." So perhaps Wayne is now repaying the favor, as he tells the viewers, "Right now Im on the studio bus, I'm working on a feature song for Chance The Rapper, shout out Chance The Rapper."
For those unfamiliar with the app, that's probably because it literally just launched two days ago, but it's strong enough to include Mac Miller, Curren$y, Joe Budden and of course Weezy as some of the celebrities that are already using the app (although it's not limited to music).

The President and First Lady Will Be The First Presidential Family To Attend SXSW
If you're one of the thousands of eager people heading to Austin this month for SXSW (South by Southwest), you'll be thrilled to find out that the Obamas will also be in attendance.
President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will both make an appearance at the SXSW Interactive Conference which embraces music, technology and film.
On March 11th the president is expected to sit down with Evan Smith, editor of the Texas Tribune, regarding civic engagement and the role technology can potentially play with increasing political involvement and solving global issues. On March 16th, our First Lady Michelle Obama will discuss her Let Girls Learn initiative, which helps 62 million girls around the world who are not in school gain access to an education.
The Obamas are the first presidential family to attend SXSW in its thirty years. It makes sense considering a lot of the campaigns in the White House have been notable for their embrace of technology under the Obama administration.
One senior White House official recalls, "In 2012, when the president was running for reelection, there were fewer than 1 billion smartphones in the world," adding "This year on a daily basis 1 billion people go to their Facebook page on their smartphone every day... That’s in four years"
Voters are embracing technology just like the president, which makes their attendance to SXSW completely called for and exciting !!
50 Cent Sells Connecticut Mansion, Will Be Turned Into An Assisted Living Facility
50 Cent‘s massive estate in Farmington, Connecticut has finally sold for $8 million. The buyer will reportedly turn the 52-room mansion into an assisted living facility.
The Power executive producer first put the 21-bedroom/25-bath estate on the market for $18.5 million in 2007; reducing the price several times in the following years. At 50,000 square feet, reports state that maintenance on the home is around $70k per month – as there’s also 9 kitchens, an indoor pool/outdoor pool (and grotto), helicopter pad, casino, nightclub, basketball courts and ponds to service.
50 filed for bankruptcy in 2015, and his lawyer, William A. Brewer III of Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors, told Us Weekly that the purpose was to “reorganize his financial affairs,” but that his professional endeavors would be “unaffected” by the case.
“This filing for personal bankruptcy protection permits Mr. Jackson to continue his involvement with various business interests and continue his work as an entertainer, while he pursues an orderly reorganization of his financial affairs,” Brewer said in a statement.

For fans of the first two “Bad Boys” films, it’s been an excruciating wait for the third installment, and now according to TMZ the time has almost come.
Earlier this week, star Will Smith and producer Jerry Bruckheimer held several multi-hour meetings during which they discussed the feasibility of adding another episode to the franchise.

“Ghostbusters” Reboot Drops Phenomenal Trailer: Watch Here!
Given all the controversy surrounding the all-female “Ghostbusters” film, it’s relieving to see the first official trailer is nothing short of incredible.
Starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, v and Leslie Jones, the forthcoming paranormal flick is slated to hit theaters on July 15th and promises to be an event to remember.
