Gwen Stefani Hits #1 With New Album This Is What The Truth Feels Like!
Jumping back into the game as if she never left, Gwen Stefani sold 84,000 copies of This is What the Truth Feels Like, putting her new album at #1 on the Billboard 200.
Her first record since splitting with husband Gavin Rossdale and hooking up with Blake Shelton, Truth almost put the “Hella Good” songstress at odds with her record label.
Gwen told press, "Then [my cowriters and I] wrote a song called ‘Rocket Ship,’ and that’s when the label said to me, 'Listen, we think this overall album you’re writing is too personal. We don’t think people are going to relate. You should just put out an art record.' And I was like, 'Are you kidding me? I’m literally channeling God here. I’m saving my own life with this record and you come and punch me in the face?' The next day I went in and told [my cowriters], 'Let’s write the most f--king personal shit, ever — opposite of what anyone would want to hear.' And that’s when we wrote 'Used to Love You.'”

Sheree Whitfield, Phaedra Parks, and Porsha Williams were Andy Cohen’s guests on Watch What Happens Live wearing their Easter Sunday best.
Porsha compliments Andy on the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, “You were on fire. Your follow-up questions were shady as hell.” Speaking of shade, how about Porsha’s digs at Peter Thomas and Cynthia Bailey?! Does Porsha think Cynthia knows the truth about Peter? “I don’t know what Cynthia knows,” she says. “All I know is that if she’s happy, I’m happy for her. She is the one who is married to him. They seem to be doing well today. Good luck, guys.”
After a game of Hot Po-Titties, where Porsha, Phaedra, and Sheree have to say something nice about Kenya Moore while passing around Tamra Judge‘s implant (Stay classy, Andy), a caller asks Sheree about Bob.
Sheree says, “I wasn’t playing when I said Bob has to work for this. He is doing what he needs to do. We’re in a good place. We’re taking it one day at a time. We’re not exclusive. We’ve gone on dates. It’s been so long since we’ve been able to just co-exist in the same room.”
Did Phaedra settle her debt with Todd Tucker days before the reunion just to save face? “No. I wanted to just clear it all. I gave it enough energy. I’m done with it. He’s been paid his total $25,000. He can go and do what he needs to do now.”
Andy teases, something is said by either Phaedra or Kandi Burruss on part three of the reunion that could end their friendship once and for all. Phaedra confirms that they haven’t spoken since the reunion, adding, “I’ve tried and I’ve tried and I’ve made every concession that I can. Right now I just gotta leave it in God’s hand because I can’t do anything else.”
Does Porsha agree with those who say she has changed? “I would hope I’ve changed. I feel like I have changed for the better. In my eyes, I am who I am, I’m living in my truth and I’m enjoying life. I would hope anyone coming out of a bad situation would evolve and be more powerful and more self-aware.”
At the beginning of the reunion, everyone pretty much agreed that Kim Fields was not a good fit for Real Housewives of Atlanta. Andy wants to know if her “performance” or “attitude” throughout the rest of the reunion changed their opinion. Porsha says, “It totally changed my opinion.” Phaedra shares, “It was very spicy. I loved it.”
“We needed that Kim the entire season, not just at the reunion,” says Sheree.
“She literally held that in,” adds Porsha. “We were trying to pry it out of her the whole time. I felt like she wasn’t being herself, even though she was, because the attacks on her…I felt her reactions should have been different. Since it was not, we felt, that can’t be real.”
Has Phaedra reached out to Teresa Giudice since Joe Giuice joined Apollo at Fort Dix? “No. We’re not friends like that. I’ve met her before and I think she’s a lovely lady but we haven’t talked.”
Andy asks Phaedra if she’s spoken to Apollo since Joe came in, and if so, did she ask Apollo if he’s seen Joe. Phaedra says she talks to Apollo every day, but she hasn’t asked him about Joe. “Could you ask him?” asks Andy. “Daddy’s curious what’s going on in there.”
Would Sheree let Porsha date Kairo? “No. Porsha cannot date my son.”
A caller asks Porsha if she’s still jealous of Lauren‘s baby. “I hate that it came off as me being jealous. It was just me kinda going through some thing on my own. Plus, I was having separation anxiety; she was leaving me. But, yes, we’re doing good. We’re better than ever.”

#EMPIRE NEWS: Columbia Records Drops Two New Songs From Empire’s Season 2 Soundtrack, ‘Freedom ‘& ‘All Nite’
With the second half of the Season 2 of FOX’s successful hip-hop musical drama “Empire” set to premiere this Wednesday (March 30), Columbia dropped new music from the second season’s Vol. II soundtrack: “Freedom” and “All Nite.”
Jussie Smollett (Jamal Lyons on the show) hops onto the mid-tempo groove “Freedom,” a song about championing the freedom to love who he wants.
And then there’s “All Nite,” a collab between castmates Serayah (who plays Tiana on the show), Bryshere“Yazz” Gray (Hakeem), and an appearance by Yo Gotti; it’s a standard club song about poppin’ bottles and dancing all night.

#THEMUSICROOM: Watch Tyrese Premieres ‘The Black Book’ Short Film Co-Starring V. Bozeman & Tank
The multi-talented entertainer has premiered his anticipated mini-movie, ‘The Black Book,’ co-starring singers V. Bozeman and Tank. The music video short film tells a story of lust, struggle, infidelity and lasting love, set to “You Can’t Break Me,” as well as “Waiting On You” and “Prior To You,” off Tyrese’s 2015 album Black Rose.
Making his directorial debut, and inspired by the modern romance classic The Notebook, Ty borrowed elements from the film to create his own compelling story of true love. Much like the Nicholas Sparks tale, this film features an elderly couple, who are celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary. Due to his wife’s Alzheimer’s, an older version of Ty tries threading this story together, going down a sometimes painful memory lane, one filled with arguments, forgiveness and love.
As he tells the story, fans see it unfold on-screen in the form of the aforementioned musical numbers.
“We argued and fought all the time,” the senior version of Ty says at one point. Those heated arguments were shown in the first chapter of the film to drive a message home, Ty explained at his private premiere party. “We had to show the resilience and strength of a woman. I think some of the worst relationships, other than physical is the mental and spiritual abuse,” he said, “because wounds can heal up but if you tear a woman down and beat her down spiritually, it takes forever to recover from that.”
V. Bozeman’s connection to those scenes was even stronger. “I had to support it because I had lived it firsthand,” she said to an audience member who asked about domestic abuse’s role in the film. “And this is what we got out of it. I encourage all women to speak out and spread the word about this piece because it’s real. It’s very real.”
Those moments are jarring, somber and moving, but the film eventually transitions into a love story, capturing reconciliation, growth and forgiveness. That was also crucial for Ty.
“I feel like some of the best movies I’ve seen have some type of resolve to it,” the Fast & Furious star told Billboard during the Q&A session. “We’ve all experienced trauma and being in dark places, whether it’s relationships, family, losing family members. We’ve all been in that dark place that most of us hope never to have to go back to, but I feel like there should always be something positive, something beautiful. It was just my way of complimenting God. When challenges present themselves, I often say that you will grow through what you go through.”

HIP HOP NEWS: Nas Hit With Tax Lien!
With tax day around the corner, Nas better dot his i's and cross his t's because the Queensbridge, New York rapper has been hit with a tax lien for $145,000.
According to the Jasmine Brand, Nas owes the debt to the state of Georgia for unpaid taxes from 2008. The original deficit was $58,000, but the interest, collection fees and other factors raised the amount to $145,708.33.
The site says that the legend was hit with a lien last year, claiming he owes $276,439.80 for the year 2006. With the two debts, Nas owes $422,569.13 to the state of Georgia.
The Illmatic rapper was reportedly hit with a tax lien for more than $1 million in 2012 for not paying up during the years 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010. Earlier that year, the U.S. Government claimed that he owed more than $6 million in unpaid taxes.
SPORTS NEWS: NCAA March Madness Tournament 2016 Final Four is Set!
And then there were four. After two weeks of unexpected twists and turns in the 2016 NCAA March Madness tournament, the Final Four was set on Sunday, March 27: the University of North Carolina, Villanova University, University of Oklahoma and Syracuse University.
Sixty-eight teams kicked off the tournament on March 13, and a national champion will be crowned on April 4. Among this year's No. 1 seeds — the Midwest's University of Kansas, East's University of North Carolina, West's Oregon State and the South's University of Virginia — UNC is the only remaining top seed after beating out Notre Dame in the Elite Eight.
The Tar Heels dominated Notre Dame's Fighting Irish 88 to 74 on Sunday, while the other top seed, Virginia, fell to Syracuse 62 to 68.
The battle for the top spot will continue on Saturday, April 2. Villanova will first play Oklahoma at 6:09 p.m. ET, followed immediately by UNC vs. Syracuse at 8:49 p.m. ET. Both games will be broadcast on TBS.
Diddy To Open New Charter School In Harlem This Fall
Sean “Diddy” Combs is now adding charter school founder to his very extensive resume. According to the Associated Press, the music mogul announced Monday that Capital Preparatory Harlem Charter School will open this fall, in New York City’s Harlem neighborhood.
Capital Prep leader Steve Perry, who founded Capital Prep Magnet School in Hartford, Connecticut, in 2005, will oversee the school.
Diddy and the board have hired Orlando, Florida-based educator Danita Jones as the principal of Capital Prep Harlem, and he says opening the school is “a dream come true.”
He expressed his excitement on Instagram, writing: Each one teach one! Capital Preparatory Harlem Charter School is NOW accepting applications for students in the 6th and 7th grade!!… HARLEM IM COMING HOME!!! We’re gonna build the leaders of tomorrow!”

Was Kim Kardashian’s infamous sex tape, with Ray J, leaked — deliberately? A new book called, Kardashian Dynasty (by Ian Halperin), claims that not only was Kim’s tape leaked on purpose, but by her famous mother, Kris Jenner.
As you’ll recall, back in 2007 a sex tape was leaked of Ray J and Kim Kardashian. The tape was said to have been made back in 2003.
According to Page Six, Kim signed a contract with Vivid Entertainment. In the book, a source says
A mutual friend of Kim and Paris [Hilton] had advised her that if she wanted to achieve fame, a sex tape would be the way to go .?.?. Kim had discussed the idea of producing a tape with her family beforehand.
The book claims Kris deliberately leaked the sex tape.
A third party brought it to Vivid .?.?. [We] got in touch with the Kardashian family.
It was allegedly explained that it is likely a tape would leak anyway, and the celebrity wouldn’t get paid,
So why not work for us, and we’ll make sure that it will not only get out, but that it will be distributed the way you want.
The rep is said to have added, You’ll get a nice payment for it. I can tell you right now. Kim Kardashian’s movie came out in ’07, and she’s made millions. A rep for Kim said,
All the assertions are false.The book will be released on April 19.
Celebs came to attend The Annual White House Easter Egg Roll!
Beyoncé, Jay Z and their daughter, Blue Ivy, were among the visitors that joined the first family at the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday.
Blue was cute as can be, dressed as a bunny in a white fur and pink rabbit ears. Bey’s mom, Tina Lawson (with her husband Richard Lawson) and nephew Juelz came out to join in on the event – plus, Monica Brown and her sons Rocko and Romelo were there, too.
Sesame Street puppets were brought onto the South Lawn as part of the festivities, and Blue was snapped holding her mom’s hand as she watched them.
Ms. Tina shared a video of First Lady, Michelle Obama, speaking to the crowd, writing: “I will be soo sad to see this First Lady go. She is truly such a gift to our country,” as part of the video’s caption.
Monica also captured a moment, with her son, Rocko, chatting with Mrs. Obama: “What a dream come true to be ten years old holding conversation with the most awesome First Lady EVER,” wrote Monica.

SORRY! Mariah Carey REFUSED permission to film at Harrods for her new Reality show!
Not many people would say no to Mariah Carey – but Harrods did.
The singer wanted to film her new reality show at the posh Knightsbridge department store, but had her request declined.
Mariah – who celebrated her 46th birthday on Sunday – wanted to shoot scenes where she treated a member of her squad to a full-on makeover, and thought the makeup counter at Harrods would be the ideal setting.
But bosses there had other ideas. A source said: “If you’re thinking of high-end London shops, you think of Harrods, so of course that’s where Mariah wanted to shoot.
“But store managers felt there would have been a lot of commotion, which would be really disruptive to the shop’s staff and customers.
“Mariah’s entourage would have been in the dozens and there’s no way usual trading could have gone on. They also couldn't open the store especially for her to film outside of opening hours.
"They had to look for alternative locations for the shoot.”
The diva is currently filming the new reality series, Mariah’s World, while embarking on her European tour.
The show will document the run-up to her wedding, as she prepares to marry billionaire James Packer.
Mariah is an executive producer for the series, which is billed as recording “her unparalleled celebrity lifestyle filled with true glamour, maximum luxury and ultimate stardom”.
During her stint in London, the star was granted private access to the Tower of London and toy store Hamleys as well as some museums to film in outside public opening hours.
She even brought her four-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
The singer celebrated her birthday in Luxembourg where she flew after cancelling a gig in Brussels amid safety concerns following the bombings there last week. She is due to perform in Copenhagen, Denmark on Tuesday night.
