Will Smith Named Generation Award Recipient For 2016 MTV Movie Awards
Given his prolific influence in the realms of movies, music and television, it’s no wonder Will Smith is slated to receive the MTV Movie Awards' Generation Award next month.
The “Independence Day” hunk has starred in block busters like “Men in Black,” “Bad Boys” and the forthcoming “Suicide Squad,” not to mention many of his lesser-known projects.

Executive producer Casey Patterson told E! News, "Will Smith and MTV have grown up together and share a very cool history. MTV was a part of every phase of Will's career and he has been a huge part of what defined the MTV culture from the beginning. From TV's The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, to his music and amazing movies, Will is the voice of a generation and not afraid to use it. The 25th anniversary of the Movie Awards is the perfect year to honor #BIGWILLIE as only MTV can—with lots of big surprises in store."

#RHOA: Porsha Williams and Sheree Whitfield hangs out but WAIT Porsha is Crushing On Sheree’s Son Kairo!
Well looky looky cast mates Porsha Williams and Sheree Whitfield stepped out for a fun girls night out.
But while Porsha and Sheree was out Porsha was Cougar hunting!
Mama Sheree posted up a picture of her fine 19-year-old son Kairo (whew!) dapping it up with Barbershop 3 actor Ice Cube recently at the ATL screening of the film. Sheree warned the cougars to fall back though.  She said, #NoIGKairo meeting @IceCube at #TheBarbershop #NextCut premiere last week! #FallBackCougars #familyfirst”
Well, a dehydrated (for good reason this time) Porsha hopped in Sheree’s comments section and responded (above) with “You raised him well” and a heart emoji. Mmhmm...we see you girl.
As Sheree already said, fall back cougar, unless you dropping some coins in his account to help the "broke college student." Ha! Well Ladies got a donation?

#TEAMEMPIRE: ‘Empire’: Bryshere Gray on What He’s Learned From Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson.
Bryshere Gray’s first acting gig is his role as Hakeem Lyon, the son of Lucious and Cookie Lyon (Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson) on Fox’s “Empire,” the No. 1 show on network television. But before the 22-year-old Philadelphia native debuted on TV, he toured the world as a teen — known as rapper Yazz the Greatest.

He spoke to Variety and said this..

Before “Empire,” did you ever think of acting?
I was too nervous. I wasn’t confident enough to act. So when I got this, I dabbed around and then did a season, and now I’m starting to get comfortable and it’s starting to come natural where I’m not overthinking.

You get to show off your rapping skills on the show. Is it difficult to balance your shooting schedule with recording the songs?

Not really. When I make the music for Hakeem, it’s trendy and poppy, and I don’t really put thought into it — I take it for what it is. I make the songs with Ne-Yo and Timbaland and Swizz Beatz, so it’s not a bad crowd!

“Empire” is known for big guest stars. Anyone on your wish list?
My real momma! There might be tension though.

What do you remember from your audition?
It was intense. It was very nerve-racking walking into Grammy-nominated and Oscar-nominated actors and directors, but Terrence pulled me to the side and said, “Look, you’re doing good, but you need to own it.” I took his advice, and now I’m on “Empire” Season 2.

What else have you learned from your co-stars?
What I’ve learned from Terrence and Taraji is save your money! And if you ever feel embarrassed when you’re doing a scene and you feel like it shouldn’t be on camera, you should keep going.
When you landed the role, did you know it was going to be this big?
It was kind of a gamble for me because I didn’t know if my time would be wasted. I didn’t know it was going to be as big and touch so many families around the world.

What’s been the most surreal part of the success?
When we came out with an album, I had four records on that album and we beat Madonna! That was huge when we did that. We broke the record of 20 million people watching. It’s just been a huge blessing to be a part of this.

What is it about the show that you think resonates with the audience?
What I think resonates is the family. They’ve seen us from Season 1 and fell in love with each character, and the storylines are so intense and entertaining that they just want to see us grow and see the family come together — although that’s not that easy, and then it wouldn’t be entertaining anymore! It’s about the family. I think that’s what people connect with.

How has your life changed since being cast in “Empire?”
It’s been amazing, thanks to everybody who believed and gave me a chance — Danny Strong, Lee Daniels and Dana and Gary [Walden and Newman]. I just was a performer touring the world and I didn’t have any acting experience.

Where do you see your career going — do you want to keep acting or rapping or work on both?
All I’ve ever wanted to do is act on TV. I’m already touring around the world so I’m really just happy acting on TV, but I have a great team so we’ll see.

Now what about Hakeem? He has been through a lot lately — what do you still want him to accomplish?
He’s getting older, but he’s the hot-head of the group. I just hope Hakeem will keep being Hakeem and be passionate to his music — and listen to his parents!

What can you tease about the midseason finale? Will Hakeem get back into his family’s good graces after betraying Lucious?
“Empire” is such a dysfunctional family. The situation that is at hand right now will grow. Season 2 is going to come back with a bang. It’s like the beginning of Season 2, but on steroids. We’re going to feed the hunger of what the fans want. They want drama, family, love and good music.

Next week EVERYBODY!

Criminal Minds: No Season 12 for Shemar Moore
Bad news, baby girls (and boys), the lovely and talented Shemar Moore is leaving CBS‘ Criminal Minds TV series. Executive Producer Erica Messer has released a letter, honoring the beloved actor, who has played SSA Derek Morgan for 11 seasons.
Embedded in the letter is a video of Criminal Minds stars stars Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson, A. J. Cook, Matthew Gray Gubler, and Kirsten Vangsness sharing their thoughts on working with Moore and his departure. Watch it, below.

Here is the CBS introduction, followed by Messer’s letter:

Posted on Mar 23, 2016 10:05pm

After 11 seasons as SSA Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds, Shemar Moore is retiring his bullet-proof vest. Following the episode “A Beautiful Disaster” on Wednesday, fans discovered that Derek Morgan, who survived a harrowing kidnapping, is leaving the BAU to focus on life with his family.

As Shemar starts a new journey, Executive Producer Erica Messer shared a touching message from the Criminal Minds team:

All of us at Criminal Minds are sad to say “see you later” to Agent Derek Morgan. Even sadder that our friend Shemar Moore isn’t on set anymore. It was definitely a surprise that he wanted “To leap,” as Shemar said, “to try new things.” For those reasons, we have nothing but love and respect for him and his choice. But it doesn’t mean we can’t also be really, really sad.
It was important that we honor a character who has grown with us for over a decade, which is why we wrote the 3-episode arc for Morgan. Those final episodes were directed by fellow actors with the last one co-written by his “baby girl,” Kirsten Vangsness. Thomas Gibson got things started with an amazing journey in “Derek,” followed by our milestone 250th episode directed by Joe Mantegna. Matthew Gray Gubler helmed “A Beautiful Disaster,” helping Shemar and Morgan walk out with a proud, determined stride. One that we’ve been honored to have on our team for eleven years.
As you’ve seen since the beginning, the BAU doesn’t just survive change, they thrive in it. After they stop to mourn the loss of what was, they adapt. This is what makes our heroes relatable—they have to shift and settle in to what becomes their new normal, just like the rest of us when we’re faced with unexpected changes. And sometimes good things happen, too. Old friends come back to “work the case.” Next week, you’ll see Paget Brewster reprise her role as Agent Emily Prentiss helping kick off the last four episodes of the season.

The end of this year will remind you why the BAU is the best of the best at catching the worst of the worst. We’ll introduce you to new foes like ones played by Devon Gumersall and Frances Fisher. And we’ll bring back one from your nightmares—Mr. Scratch. The surprising finale will leave you knowing our fight for good has only just begun.
On behalf of the cast and crew, thank you for cheering us on every week. We’re so privileged to entertain you through stories about these elite heroes. The BAU knows the bad guys outnumber the good so when one of them leaves, they have no choice but to keep going. Even though they’re finishing the season an agent down, they’ll keep up the fight because the BAU wouldn’t have it any other way.

Meanwhile, what will the cast and crew miss most about the man behind Derek Morgan? Criminal Minds stars Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson, A. J. Cook, Matthew Gray Gubler, and Kirsten Vangsness share their emotional goodbyes. Watch:

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Criminal Minds TV show? Will you still watch a 12th season, even without Shemar Moore?

WOW, No Pre Nup for Russell and Ciara?
Insiders claim Ciara and Russell Wilson don't want to upset their pre-marital bliss with distasteful talk about prenuptial agreements...

Sources tell Hollywood Life
“Even the thought of speaking such words would mean that they’re questioning their love for one another. A prenup is like a jinx. They’re not going into the marriage thinking that it won’t last. They’re diving into this full on and they don’t want bad energy clouding their marriage.”

Is this a good move for Russell?

SAD NEWS: Comedian Garry Shandling dead at 66
Comedian Garry Shandling, known for “It’s Garry Shandling’s Show” and “The Larry Sanders Show,” died Thursday. He was 66.
Los Angeles Police officers were dispatched to Shandling's home Thursday for a reported medical emergency. Shandling was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A coroner's official said late Thursday that Shandling's death appears to be from natural causes and no autopsy is planned. Lt. David Smith told the Associated Press there has been no official cause of death determination yet, but medical records will be used to determine how the 66-year-old comedian died.

An innovative and eccentric humorist with pillowy lips and a voice that always seemed on the verge of a whine, Shandling claimed to disdain too much logic cluttering his life.
"The answer isn't gonna be in the facts," he told The Associated Press in 2009. "It's gonna be in intuition. That's how I work creatively. I'm always teaching people that the answer to that creative question is right here, in the room, between us here."
More to the point, it was dealing with the questions he confronted in himself.
Born on Nov. 29, 1949 in Chicago, Shandling was raised in Tucson, Arizona. On arriving in Los Angeles as a young adult, it was a short hop from a brief stint in the advertising business to comedy writing and stand-up.

Then in the 1980s, he began to experiment with TV comedy, and to toy with the sitcom form, with his first series, "It's Garry Shandling's Show," a Showtime project that made no bones about its inherently artificial nature: the actors in this otherwise standard domestic comedy routinely broke the fourth wall to comment on what they were up to. Even the theme song began with the explanatory lyrics, "The theme to Garry's show...."
Then, in August 1992, Shandling created his comic masterpiece with "The Larry Sanders Show," which starred him as an egomaniacal late-night TV host with an angst-ridden show-biz life behind the scenes.
It was just three months after Carson had retired from "The Tonight Show," where Shandling had appeared as a stand-up and occasional Carson stand-in. It seemed a wry but deeply felt homage to the King of Late Night.

But it was more. "Larry Sanders" proved to be an act of courage, a brave effort led by someone portraying a character dangerously close to himself. As Larry, Garry dug deep to confront his own demons, and did it brilliantly as the series teetered between dual realities: public and private; make-believe and painfully true.
Real-life celebrities appeared as guests on Larry's show-within-the-show, and also interacted with him "off the air."
David Duchovny, agreeing to come on the show, also came on to Larry romantically once he got the chance.
Jim Carrey delivered a rip-roaring comic tribute to his host on the final broadcast, then, during a commercial break, turned on him in rage over a long-ago slight.

"Are you doing a bit, now?" asked Larry, perplexed.
"We're OFF the air," Carrey hissed. "This is real life now."
The show explored the fuzzy distinction between TV life and real life, and the loneliness of someone at its crossing. The closest thing Larry had to friends were his chronically needy announcer Hank (Jeffrey Tambor) and his Napoleonic producer, Artie (Rip Torn). Together the three actors were among TV's best-ever trios.
After "Sanders" ended in 1998, Shandling's public appearances were few.

He was mentioned as a candidate to follow David Letterman as a bona fide late-night host for CBS' 12:30 a.m. slot, but no deal was made.
"I would not do a show where you just sit and talk to somebody," Shandling had said back in 1993 when he was courted by NBC to take over for Letterman on "Late Night."
His films included "Hurlyburly" in 1998, "What Planet Are You From?" in 2000 and "Zoolander" in 2001.

He hosted the Emmy Awards in 2000 and 2004.

Robin Wright Revealed In First Look At Wonder Woman Cast
Robin Wright joins Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot, in the first image shared from the forthcoming "Wonder Woman" film.
The House of Cards actress' involvement in the film had been previously speculated. Her daughter Dylan Penn (Robin Wright and Sean Penn’s daughter) inadvertently confirmed the rumour at a pre-Golden Globes party in January.

When asked if she’d be attending the big show with her mother, she told The Hollywood Reporter: “No, she’s not going,” she replied. “She’s training to be a super hero for a movie.”
Robin, 49, known for her steely portrayal of First Lady, Claire Underwood, plays General Antiope in the film.
In the promotional shot she is pictured alongside her niece Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) in full battle dress, including body armour with arrows slung casually across her body.
The actress is one of a trio of Amazonian women who help raise the young Diana. Diana's mother Hippolyta is played by Gladiator actress Connie Nielsen, 50, and her other military aunt, Antiope’s lieutenant Menalippe, is played by Norweigian actress Lisa Loven Kongsli, 36.

The women put on an impressive display of strength and fearlessness in the highly anticipated film, directed by Patty Jenkins of Monster fame, which is set for release in June 2017.

Wonder Woman will be an origin story charting the transformation of the Amazon Princess Diana into a great female warrior and hero. The women inhabit the mystical island of Themyscira, the birthplace of Wonder Woman, where Amazon women of Greek myth have thrived for centuries, free to self-govern away from the gaze of man.
Patty revealed that Diana is the only child on the island, and the three women have very different ways of raising her. Mother Hippolyta is protective and aims to keep Diana on Themyscira for as long as possible, while Robin's character Antiope is responsible for Diana’s training, and wants to prepare her to be a warrior.

“She is the only child they raised together,” said Patty, who is currently entrenched on the film’s production in London. “And their love for her manifests in a different way for each of them," she adds.

Wonder Woman's introduction in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, is considered to be one of the highlights of the movie. She has a crucial role in the first Justice League movie due out in November 2017 and will finally be the star of her own long-awaited film, which will hit screens next June (17).

TMZ Sued For Mixing Up Rapper Who Cut His Penis Off With Another Guy
TMZ is accused of defaming a man, by wrongfully naming him as the rapper who cut his penis off and jumped out of an apartment window. Marques Johnson filed a lawsuit against the website over a 2014 story where he was misidentified as alleged Wu-Tang affiliated rhymer, Christ Bearer.
Per The Hollywood Reporter:
Marques Johnson, a hip-hop artist known as Andre Roxx, who once was associated with the Wu Tang Clan affiliated outfit Killa Beez, has brought a defamation lawsuit against TMZ over an April 2014 article.
The story in question reported that a “rapper affiliated with Wu-Tang Clan was rushed to the hospital early Wednesday after he cut off his penis and then jumped off a second story balcony.”
Johnson says he was first tagged by TMZ as the rapper who did that, before a rewritten story reflected that it was another guy — Christ Bearer.

“TMZ’s original, inaccurate story immediately spread across the Internet and to television and radio news,” states a complaint filed Wednesday in Delaware federal court
.Johnson says the story was quickly picked up by BET.com (which reported the rapper who cut off his penis as “Andre Johnson, who spits under the name Christ Bearer and Andre Roxx) USA Today (which reported “Johnson, also known as Andre Roxx and Christ Bearer”), the television show Extra, Radio One, the New York Daily News, Urban Daily and Barstool Sports.
After the story was reported, Wu-Tang immediately distanced themselves from the actual penis chopping rapper. TMZ quietly changed the story with no note of an actual name retraction. As a result, Marques Johnson’s stage name (Andre Roxx) spread through the media
