Willow Smith & Zendaya Talk Fashion, Celeb Crushes & More In W Magazine’s April 2016 Issue
Fab teens Willow Smith and Zendaya are growing up right before our eyes as the world watches their every move. The fashionably charged teens are the cover girls for W magazine’s April 2016, along with teen actress Kiernan Shipka.
The “dream teens” are next in line for their #girlpower takeover mission as they have already built a firm foundation with epic partnerships, major TV roles and making a splash on the music scene.
Inside, the teens dish on their fashion inspirations, which celebrities their crushing on and interesting tidbits that make that unique.
By now, you know 15-year-old Willow (who recently became Chanel’s newest brand ambassador) pretty much has all creative control over her image and sound (she’s still making music). Her parents Will and Jada Pinkett Smith are now allowing her and her brother Jaden to tap into their creative sides as they please.
For instance, she showed up to the W shoot rocking a nose ring and navy blue dreads accented with large safety pins. "That was my idea,” Willow said. “I was in my bathroom yesterday and saw some safety pins on the counter and was just like, ‘Let me stab a dread real quick.’ When I did it, I was, like, ‘Oh, this is dope.’ ”
Gotta love it.
As for what her parents have to say about her eclectic style, she dished, “I wanted to wear things then [when I was younger] that might have been too crazy. But now they know I set my own boundaries.”
So where does she get her fashion inspiration? “My mom,” Willow said. “When she was on tour with Ozzfest, she was very raunchy. I loved watching her onstage.”
While Willow has plenty of projects and activities to keep her mind off of puppy love, she does have a few celeb crushes. She told the mag, “Adèle Exarchopoulos and Léa Seydoux. They’re so beautiful in Blue Is the Warmest Color. I don’t really like the crude sexualness of the movie, but I like all the scenes that aren’t porn. My favorite love scene in a movie is in Avatar—when they’re at the tree of souls and they’re communing with Eywa.”
19-year-old Disney starlet/singer/dancer opened up about her special-edition Zendaya Barbie inspired by her controversial 2015 Oscar appearance. The Barbie was a total game changer and even more special being that Daya didn't play with Barbies when she was a little girl because they didn't look like her.
She said, “After my Oscar moment, Mattel contacted us. They specifically wanted to make a Barbie that looked like me, in my exact outfit from the Oscars. I was so excited that Barbie wanted to diversify their brand. Now all little girls can have a Barbie that looks like them. My Barbie is in a box. I never let anyone touch her.”
The gorgeous “K.C. Undercover” star, who has been dancing since the age of 8, competed on “Dancing With The Stars.” She almost won the Mirror Ball, landing in 2nd place. She was asked about the different costume designs on the show where she said she only had one demand that had to be honored during the season. “The only thing I refused to do was get a spray tan,” Zendaya said. “I said, ‘Guys—I’m half-black. I naturally glow from melanin.’”
As for which celebrities she has been crushing on, she revealed, “In the non-weirdest way possible, Johnny Depp! Leonardo DiCaprio! Idris Elba! I have talent crushes. My room used to be full of Michael Jackson posters. Now I have a poster from the musical The Band Wagon.”

#RHOA: NeNe Leakes, Kim Zolciak, Sheree Whitfield Returning RHOA 9? Report!
Is the RHOA OG DreamTeam coming back? Three of the most lucrative faces in the network’s history might be reuniting for a ninth season. According to LALATE.com Kim Zolciak, Sheree Whitfield, and NeNe Leakes all want to return for a ninth season of Real Housewives of Altanta, as a team. Contract offers are going out this April, and filming would begin this September. But now with OGs of BravoTV potentially getting over $900,000 a season, after getting paid less than $20,000 their first season, these original Georgia Peaches are ready to return to stir up the pot.
BravoTV has wanted Kim Zolciak, Sheree Whitfield, and NeNe Leakes back together on RHOA. But scheduling didn’t make it possible. Now all three wives are in a big hug-fest this spring, after weave pulling and checking-your-teeth jabs for years. Now that these three wives enjoy and support one another, the three could be coming back to Peach-land. When these wives first started RHOA, they were paid less than $20,000 a season. Now if they would return, they could end up getting upwards of $900K to $1.5 million a season, if they negotiate as a team.
And BravoTV is looking to shake up the cast as well. The Tea is that fans have been disappointed with this eight season. Production believes that season 8, absent Phaedra Parks and Cynthia Bailey, has not delivered the type of storylines the show is known for. And many have contended that the show for the most part has been bland this season. Other fans, in turn, have been asking BravoTV to let go several new wives whom them contend have derailed the show, its integrity, and its realism. The entire new cast is set to be hinted later this spring.

#TEAMEMPIRE: ‘Empire' star Taraji P. Henson shares her favorite scene from FOX series
"Empire" cast member Taraji P. Henson recently shared which scene from the hit FOX series is her most favorite of them all.
In an interview with the website Melty, the actress said that she loved the scene where her character Cookie had to calm Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) down.
"Terrence and I go way back. We understand each other. Sometimes you don't get the chance to have that kind of connection with every person you work with. Terrence and I have it, so we knew exactly what the scene required," she said.
Meanwhile, Henson also talked about Cookie and Lucious' dynamic on the show.
"You see, Lucious and Cookie constantly are constantly at each other's throats. I know as an audience member I would question if they really love each other. So it's in those moments that you really get to see that they do love each other. They love each other in such a deep way that most might not even understand it," she said.

Hip Hop News; Listen to a Notorious B.I.G. & Metro Boomin Mixtape Mash-Up
On the 19th anniversary of the Notorious B.I.G.’s untimely death, MICK and Chi Duly have teamed up to release a 30-minute ode to Biggie over Metro Boomin’s production.
Their Ready to Boom mash-up features Frank White cuts like “Juicy” over Metro’s beats like Kanye West’s “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1.”
“We thought it would be cool to remix Biggie with a very contemporary vibe and kind of trap him out a little bit,” MICK told Highsnobiety. “We wanted to introduce him to a new audience so they can appreciate his genius, too.”

Notorious mash-ups like this are nothing new, of course. In January, Terry Urban created a blend featuring David Bowie titled “Biggie Stardust.” He’s done the same with B.I.G. and Lana Del Rey as well as FKA twigs. Meanwhile, a Frank Sinatra blend titled Blue Eyes Meets Biggie has been out for years.
But Ready to Boom wasn’t the only mash-up that came out today. It was accompanied by DJ Mister Cee and SNICKA, who teamed up with their own mash-up, one that pits Biggie’s raps onto 2 Milly’s “Milly Rock” and Desiigner’s “Panda.” Listen to that HERE
A very controversial Director Preps Whitney Houston Documentary
Filmmaker Nick Broomfield — known for controversial documentaries like Kurt and Courtney and Biggie and Tupac — is helming a new film about Whitney Houston for BBC Two.

Per the network, Whitney "goes in search of the forces that made and then destroyed the singer who has been described as having one of the greatest voices of the last 50 years." A release date has yet to be announced.
While the film is still in its early stages, it doesn't have the initial support of the singer's family. Asked about the film, a spokesperson for Houston's family tells Rolling Stone, "The Whitney Houston Estate has no involvement in this program whatsoever."
Broomfield's extensive filmography includes a slew of documentaries examining an array of infamous subjects from sex workers and serial killers to politicians and musicians. Kurt and Courtney is particularly notorious for suggesting Courtney Love was involved in Kurt Cobain's death; while in Biggie and Tupac, Broomfield posits that Suge Knight was behind the murders of both MCs, with help from members of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Houston died in February 2012 with an autopsy report naming accidental drowning as the cause of death, although cocaine use and a heart condition were listed as contributing causes.
In 2015, the singer's life was turned into a Lifetime biopic, also called Whitney, directed by Angela Bassett and starred Yaya DaCosta in the title role. The film, however, drew sharp criticism from Houston's family, with sister-in-law Pat Houston writing, "You should not be surprised that someone decided to do a made-for-TV biopic. And, I might add, without the family’s blessing and despite her mother’s request to not do this movie. It happens every day."

Adam Levine’s wife Behati Prinsloo Is Pregnant, Expecting their First Child
This baby will be loved! Model Behati Prinsloo is pregnant and expecting her first child with husband Adam Levine, the Victoria’s Secret Angel, 26, is three to four months along in her pregnancy and that her rocker hubby is “over the moon” about impending fatherhood.
One month after their lavish July 2014 wedding ceremony in Mexico, Levine, 36, revealed that he and his wife were eager to start a family — and a big one at that.
“We’re definitely going to do it," the “Sugar” singer said at the time during a KIIS FM radio interview with Ryan Seacrest, before joking, "I want to have 100 kids. I want to have more kids than would be socially responsible.”
Parenthood has also been a longtime dream of Prinsloo’s. Prior to becoming Mrs. Levine, the Namibia-born beauty recently told The Lowdown's Diana Madison that she had definite plans to have kids with the Maroon 5 frontman.
“I’ve always wanted a family since I was a little girl, a big family," she explained. "I’m an only child so I wanted like 10 kids...for sure.”

The Roots Questlove Embarks on Culinary Journey for Upcoming 'Somethingtofoodabout' Book
Questlove isn't just a musical genius -- he's also a culinary junkie. The Roots legend is set to roll out a new food-centric book with New York Times best-selling author Ben Greenman called Somethingtofoodabout: Exploring Creativity with Innovative Chefs.
Featuring Quest's food journeys from New York City and Los Angeles to New Orleans and his native Philadelphia, the gifted drummer chats with chefs about "their personal histories, their creative processes, and their insights into innovation in food," per a news release.
“I don’t want to be perceived as someone who just bought my way into this world or used my currency as a means to get in,” he recently told The New York Times about his culinary endeavor, noting that a visit to Tokyo and a meal by sushi master Jiro Ono inspired him to create the book. Quest also said, "Once I saw his commitment, I realized that I needed to work harder myself."
Esteemed travel and food personality Anthony Bourdain also lends his pen to the foreword. "The term foodie is inadequate to describe Questlove's relationship with the international subculture of chefs," Bourdain writes. "He would be better described as a fully made member of the chef media. This book offers some evidence of his reach, the depth of his interest - and his extraordinary good taste."
In 2013, the 43-year-old musician (real name Ahmir Thompson) also released the book Mo' Meta Blues: The World According to Questlove.
Somethingtofoodabout hits shelves via Clarkson Potter on April 12.
