Rihanna talks to The NYTimes Style Magazine On Not Dating, Success & Racism
In Rihanna’s recent interview with The NYTimes Style Magazine, the 27-year-old mega star continues to give us more glimpses inside her world. Check out a few excerpts.

If she runs her Instagram account herself:
Yeah, yeah. That’s the only way it’ll actually work. My fans can sniff the BS from very far away. I cannot trick them.

On digesting accomplishments and success:
Only now are things hitting me, like I’m feeling them emotionally. I used to feel unsafe right in the moment of an accomplishment — I felt the ground fall from under my feet because this could be the end. And even now, while everyone is celebrating, I’m on to the next thing. I don’t want to get lost in this big cushion of success.

On not dating:
Guys need attention. They need that nourishment, that little stroke of the ego that gets them by every now and then. I’ll give it to my family, I’ll give it to my work — but I will not give it to a man right now.

On what turns her on:
I’m turned on by guys who are cultured. That’ll keep me intrigued. They don’t have to have a single degree, but they should speak other languages or know things about other parts of the world or history or certain artists or musicians. I like to be taught. I like to sit on that side of the table.
On when she first learned about sex:
Well, there’s always this human instinct about that, even from a very, very young age. But by like age 11, girls were talking about what they had and hadn’t done. I hadn’t even kissed a boy yet, so it always made me feel insecure, like I was never gonna be good or ready or know what to do — I didn’t even have boobs.

On what impresses her mother, Monica Fenty:
She’s always impressed when she sees me being a little sassy or sharp, when she sees me defending myself. It makes her feel safe, like she doesn’t have to worry about me.’’

On if she had suddenly felt aware of race in a different way when she moved to New York:
You know, when I started to experience the difference — or even have my race be highlighted — it was mostly when I would do business deals. And, you know, that never ends, by the way. It’s still a thing. And it’s the thing that makes me want to prove people wrong. It almost excites me; I know what they’re expecting and I can’t wait to show them that I’m here to exceed those expectations…. But I have to bear in mind, that those people are judging you because you’re packaged a certain way — they’ve been programmed to think a black man in a hoodie means grab your purse a little tighter. For me, it comes down to smaller issues, scenarios in which people can assume something of me without knowing me, just by my packaging.’

Nene Leakes Talks ISH about Leaving R.H.o.A
Nene Leakes feeling free is finally talking about leaving the hit show that made her in a recent interview with HuffPost
The trailer for this coming season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” came out a couple days ago, and it looks drama-filled, per usual. How are you feeling as the show prepares for its return to TV? Any nostalgia? Any regrets?

No, I don’t have any regrets. I’m not the kind of girl that looks back. I love Bravo. They are my family. I will always work with them in [a] certain capacity. I have not seen the trailer. I wish all the girls the best. That’s all I can say. The only feeling that I really had over leaving the show was that I started the show and I’ve done it for a very long time so I wanna have my hand in it somehow. I want it to stay successful.

While we’re discussing “RHOA,” Kim Zolciak recently suffered a mini-stroke. Have you been in touch with her? How is she doing?
I did visit her when she was in the hospital. As far as I know, she’s doing good, she’s doing fine.

HMMMMMM What you think about her not missing R.H.o.A?

Melanie Fiona debuts the emotional video for “I Tried.” The songstress appears battered and bruised while closed into a big glass box. News headlines from tragic real life events appear alongside her – such as domestic abuse, “Justice For Trayvon,” Mike Brown’s shooting and more.
