Monica & Shannon Brown Celebrate Laiyah’s 2nd Birthday With Brunch & Legoland Party
Monica and Shannon Brown celebrated their daughter Laiyah turning two with a birthday brunch, and a Elmo-themed party at Legoland.
The brunch featured a cameo from Elmo himself, and being that Sesame Street is one of Laiyah’s favorite shows, Monica says that her little cutie was beyond excited. Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s, Rasheeda Frost, brought her son Karter, and Future’s ex, India J., was there with their daughter Londyn. Monica’s sons Rocko and Romelo, and Rocko’s oldest son Ramone Hill also made sure Laiyah had plenty of fun.
“Happy Birthday Baby Girl,” wrote Monica. “Thank you to our Family and Friends that took time out of their lives to share special moments with us!!! To My Children You are the wind beneath my Wings.”

Chris Brown ducked the Lesbians and hung out with Ludacris at LUDA DAY!
Hmmmmm, No shade did y’all really think Chris Brown was going to show up at a LGBTQ event? This young dude is a HOMOPHOBE! Anyway while Chris Brown ducked out on the Black Women LGBT event. He opted instead for the 10th anniversary of his annual LudaDay Weekend Annual Celebrity Basketball Game.
The game was hosted by Georgia State University in their sports arena as TeamLuda battled TeamChris to raise money for the Ludacris Foundation.
According to The Georgia Voice’s Darian Aaron: Melissa Scott, party promoter and founder of Traxx Girls, tells Georgia Voice she’s “baffled” by the entire turn of events.
“I think it’s unfortunate for mainstream artists to take people’s money with the complete prior knowledge of knowing what the event is and being very clear about what the event is about. I’m completely baffled. You know it’s gay pride. You knew you agreed when you sent the contract in and took the money.”
At the last minute they were able to get Hot rising rapper Fetty Wap.

Chris Brown has been a long-term supporter of the Ludacris Foundation, participating in several events over the years. As well as being a GENERAL HOMOPHOBE through out the years. Remember when he got into a heated Twitter exchange in 2010 after former B2K singer Raz B tweeted praise of singer and Brown’s ex-girlfriend Rihanna and actress Halle Berry by taking a dig at Brown. “I’m just sittin here thinking how can ni*** like Eric Benet and Chris Brown disrespect women as intelligent as Halle Berry, Rihanna,” Raz wrote.
In true Chris Brown fashion he replied: N-you want attention! Grow up n****!!! Di-in da booty ass lil boy.” Brown later apologized.

Meek Mill has had enough of Instagram Gangstas. Over the weekend, the 28-year-old rapper had a venting session of sorts, writing on the social media site just how disappointed he is in the behavior of some. Meek says that w/in the comment section, there’s tons of negativity, most of which comes from folk that wouldn’t particularly make these comments in person. The boyfriend of Nicki Minaj even adds that one of his mentors — Jay Z — slams places like Instagram.
He writes: Instagram need to have a option to turn these comments off and put a end to giving the suckas and chance to speak without being present! You can put up a picture of somebody that died and they gone still talk crazy…. Street dudes on here boasting about people getting other people locked up and praising people that told and it’s being accepted..I watched people laugh about bobby shmurda losing his freedom when he was on a path of making a way for his family like its a joke … Adults talking down on kids..people Tryna make money off mentally challenged kids.. Obama Signs Executive Order On Paid Sick Days
President Barack Obama signed an executive order on Labor Day requiring that federal contractors provide their employees with paid sick leave, the latest in a string of executive actions aimed at raising the bar in the U.S. workplace.
According to the White House, the order will give roughly 300,000 workers under federal contracts up to seven paid sick days per year. Workers will earn one hour of leave for every 30 hours worked. The rules will start with new federal contracts signed starting in 2017.
"Many parents are forced to choose between taking an unpaid day off work -- losing much needed income and potentially threatening their jobs -- and sending a sick child who should be home in bed to school," the White House said in a statement.
Although most U.S. workers do receive paid sick days through their jobs, roughly 39 percent of private-sector workers do not, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The workers who don't have paid sick leave are disproportionately employed in low-wage industries like restaurants and retail.
The White House has named expanding paid leave as one of its top priorities. After the president highlighted the issue in his State of the Union address in January, The Huffington Post pointed out that if the president wanted to bring paid leave to more workers, the easiest way to do so would be to issue an executive order like the one
signed Monday. Last month, The New York Times reported that a draft of an executive order related to sick leave was circulating at the Labor Department.
The executive branch has a long history of using its contracting power to influence labor policy in the private sector, stretching back at least to Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The Obama administration has grown aggressive with the tactic over the past two years. It issued an executive order setting a minimum wage of $10.10 under federal contracts, and another that effectively strips federal contracts from firms found to have committed wage theft.
In announcing the executive order, the White House also called on lawmakers on Capitol Hill to pass legislation guaranteeing sick days for workers. Unlike most developed nations, the U.S. does not have a law requiring businesses to offer employees paid sick leave. Democrats have sponsored sick-leave legislation but it has gone nowhere in the Republican-controlled Congress.
Family Values @ Work, a leading advocacy group on the issue, praised the White House for the executive order. "Such a move is precisely the government’s role: to create model standards for the rest of the country to follow and to make sure taxpayer dollars are used wisely," said Ellen Bravo, the group's director.
The National Federation of Independent Business, a lobby for small businesses, wasn't as keen on the announcement. “Mandatory paid leave is a great benefit for workers whose employers offer it," Jack Mozloom, the group's director, said in a statement. "For workers whose employers can’t absorb the cost, it’s an arbitrary expense that will ultimately result in shorter hours, lower pay or disappearing jobs.”
Box Office: War Room bests Straight Outta Compton in Labor Day race
After three consecutive weekends at the top, Straight Outta Compton finally relinquished its hold on first place, falling to the faith-based drama War Room during a sleepy Labor Day weekend.
War Room took a clear lead after three days, earning an estimated $9.4 million in 1,526 locations, and it ended Labor Day weekend with an estimated $12.6 million. With a budget of just $3 million, War Room has outpaced expectations since its $11.4 million debut last weekend, and its domestic total is now at $27.9 million. The PG-rated War Room has benefited from being one of the only faith-based films in theaters recently, and it’s the latest Christian hit from brothers Alex and Stephen Kendrick.
Even though Straight Outta Compton failed to secure first place, it still added a solid $8.8 million over three days and $11.1 million over four to its record-breaking run. As of Monday, it’s only a few thousand dollars short of breaking $150 million domestically. The N.W.A. biopic was the breakout hit of late summer, opening to a whopping $60.2 million and becoming the biggest musical biopic of all time.

After months of fevered speculation about who will provide the theme song for the latest James Bond installment, Spectre, Grammy-winning British torch singer Sam Smith left a tantalizing clue on his Instagram and Twitter feeds Monday.
Presented without comment, the black and white photograph is of a hand — presumably Smith’s — wearing a ring with a small, discrete octopus logo. Sources tell us just before Da Brat went into a medley of old school female rapper hits she called Lil Kim a legend in the game and told the crowd she don't see how a person could steal someone else's entire style and then disrespect the person they stole it from.
While Da Brat didn't name names it is widely believed she was talking about Nicki Minaj who famously stole Lil Kim's style when she first came out.
It’s the Battle of The Baby Bumps! Teyana Taylor and Kandi Burress!
After recently confirming she and her beau are expecting, R&B singer Teyana Taylor had nothing to hide when she popped up at the Luda Day celebrity basketball tournament held at the GSU Sports Arena in Atlanta.
She was spotted getting cutesy with her NBA baller boyfriend Iman Shumpert before he hit the court to battle it out for a cause. If you haven’t heard, Tey and Iman are expecting a little girl in January 2016.
And the twosome have already picked out a name for their little budle of joy, Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr. Yes it’s a girl, but they have chosen to add “Jr.” at the end of her name.
Also “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kandi Burruss was glowing as she posed it up alongside her husband Todd Tucker and daughter Riley Burruss during the basketball festivities.
The 39-year-old soon-to-be-mom again is also expecting her little bundle of joy to make his/her arrival in January 2016. The Tuckers have yet to reveal whether they are having a boy or a girl, but they’re hoping to have a baby boy to add some testosterone in the household. We’re sure Todd could use it living in a household of women.

Teairra Mari Charged With Battery & Theft For Uber Driver Beatdown
The struggle is all the way real for Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood firecracker, Teiarra Mari.
After you all laughed at her being placed under citizen’s arrest by a Uber driver in July, she is now facing a stint behind bars for her hot-headed ways.

‘Love and Hip Hop’ star Teairra Mari just learned a tough lesson — you can get charged for not getting a phone charge.
You might remember … Mari allegedly went nuts on an Uber driver in July after he refused to let her charge her cellphone. The driver claims Mari began to punch him and stole his charger — forcing him to pull over.
Prosecutors bought the driver’s story and on Friday Mari was charged with battery and theft — both misdemeanors. She was also hit with a vandalism charge but it’s not clear where that came from.
Mari faces possible jail time, where at least she won’t have to worry about her phone’s battery life.
What are the odds that Lyft drivers are refusing to pick her up these days as well?
