It was raining during Janet Jackson’s concert on Saturday night, Sept. 26, 2015, at Chastain Park Amphitheatre. Her style choice was very appropriate for a tour and the weather in Atlanta. She rocked long curly hair that was colored and highlighted to add more dimension and depth to her hairstyle, and it featured long layers to maintain fullness. It was classic Janet — a very popular natural curly style that was great for the rain and very water-friendly. ‘L.A. Hair’s’ Terry Hunt how to achieve Janet’s look at home:
Step 1: Use water and setting lotion to moisten the hair.
Step 2: Section the hair as you would do with individual braids.
Step 3: Begin the two strand twist braid method. At the end of each braid, use a small to medium perm rod with end papers wrapping the ends of the hair only in a verticle motion so the ends of the hair can spiral down. This will cause the ends of the hair not to be straight while setting.
Step 4: After finishing every section, sit under a hooded dryer for approximately 1.5 -2 hours or until dry.
Step 5: Once the hair is completely dry, remove the rods at the end and then begin to separate each individual twist/section. Use the Hair Hunt Sculpture Pomade to help separate each individual section. The pomade will add sheen and luster to the hair.
This is called the two-strand twist setting method to achieve natural-looking locks. Now ladies you know!

R&B crooner Tyrese has been hinting at starring on the hit FOX series “Empire.” And now, we finally have confirmation that he will be actually on the show AND who he will play.
During a sitdown on "The Wendy Williams" show last week, Black Ty wasted NO time to let everyone know “he’s coming soon” when asked if he would be appearing on the show. He will play Taraji P. Henson/Cookie Lyon's love interest. He confirmed, “Yea me and Taraji, we have to do what we do. I’m coming to get my girl back. All them dudes on there kissing on my girl. Kim Zolciak VS Wendy Williams!: You mad cause I didn’t come on your show!
Kim Zolciak-Biermann is NOT using Wendy Williams. The reality star and Dancing With the Stars contestant recently took to her Instagram, to criticize the talk show host. Apparently, Wendy implied (on the Wendy Williams Show), that Kim may have faked her mini-stroke telling her audience and viewers:
Kim, my thought is ummm, I hope you’re not fibbing about the stroke. Because I too wanted to get off Dancing With the Stars…If you just wanted to get off DWTS all you had to do was stub your toe. Thanks, Kim.
Kim caught wind of Wendy’s comments and took to Instagram, posting an email from Wendy’s camp, requesting that she call into the show.
Posting the email receipt on Instagram, Kim writes:
Absolutely appalling!! @wendywilliams how disgusting for you to insinuate I “faked” my mini stroke on your show this morning!! You mad cause I didn’t come on your show! This clearly shows your warped mentality!!
Wendy’s camp has yet to respond.

Your next Vegas Act: Chris Brown Scores Sin City Residency
Following the trend set by artists like Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez, Chris Brown just signed a contract with Drai’s in Las Vegas for a six show residency trial.
The “Don’t Wake Me Up” singer will make $50,000 per concert and if things go well, there’s no telling what will come of the arrangement.
Mr. Brown has a long history of fun and shenanigans at Drai’s over the years- back in May he fell off the stage while dancing during his 26th birthday party. Thankfully he wasn’t hurt and everyone had a good laugh.
Sisqo Files $3.6M "Thong Song" Royalties Lawsuit
Singer Sisqo (of the group Dru Hill) has filed a $3.6M lawsuit of "Thong Song" royalties. The R&B singer (shown above during a #FBF photo from the "Thong Song" days) claims the company he hired to collect his royalties still owes him money.
He says he hired 27 Red Music to collect royalties from various music publishing companies for all his music released between 1996 and 2005.....but they failed to hand over $600,000 to him!
In his legal docs, he's asking for all his monies plus interest! We hope he gets it....cause his "Thong Song" days are long behind him.
Rapper Mase Hit has a date with THE IRS!
Mase (real name Mason Durell Betha) is not having a great year — with a video vixen suing him and having to deal with a messy divorce from his wife of 13 years — and now he has more troubles with the IRS accusing him of screwing them out of $$$.
According to docs filed in Georgia, the Federal Government slapped Mase with a lien on September 3rd. The federal tax lien states he failed to pay a total of $12,036.51 for the year 2010. According to our friends over at thejasminebrand.com
The IRS doesn’t play around when it comes to tax debt and they will begin seizing his property and assets if he doesn’t settle the debt ASAP. Unfortunately, the lien is the latest in a string of trouble for Mase. Back in December, he blew off a lawsuit filed by a video vixen who accused the rapper of using her photo in publicity for his single and he was hit with a $7,500 default judgement.
The rapper also went through a messy divorce with his wife of nearly 13 years, with the former couple finally coming to an agreement where Mase pays $6K a month in support and alimony to his ex.
Azealia Banks Calls Folks In LGBT Community “Weaklings”
Another day, another Azealia Banks rant. Banks is known to go off on social media tirades from time to time, but over the weekend, the female emcee stirred up quite the controversy when she compared the gay community to the KKK.
The Harlem native deleted the controversial tweet, but after receiving major backlash, the 24-year-old continued to speak her mind.
Banks’ continuous comments reportedly prompted a response from Dorian Gray screenwriter Toby Finlay who tweeted: ‘Ugh what a ludicrous f*cking cunt of a human being.’ But it was a comment by British soap actress, Alison Newman, that really got Banks fired up.
Banks’ recent rant comes on the heels of last week’s Delta flight incident when Azealia called a flight attendant a “f*cking fa**ot.”
The Celebs Hit Scottie Pippen’s 50th Birthday Party
NBA Hall of Famer and six-time World Champion Scottie Pippen celebrated his 50th birthday all weekend-long, including a party at Miami’s Club Liv yesterday (September 27) and it was indeed a star-studded event.
With his lovely wife Larsa Pippen acting as the chief planner, a plethora of celebrity guests including Lil Wayne, Dennis Rodman, Trick Daddy, Michael B. Jordan, Nene Leakes and more came out to support the former Chicago Bulls great.
Jeremih and Fat Joe also capped off the night with a round of performances. Check out the sights and scenes from the Scottie Pippen birthday weekend and a few of his gifts that included a new Ferrari and a custom-made Hublot watch.
Retirement has been kind to Pip.
NEW MUSIC: Dawn Richard "Dance"
Former Danity Kane songstress D∆WN has moved onto the third installment of her album trilogy, kicking off The Red Era with a new single, “Dance.”
The danceable track is produced by Noisecastle III and Swagg R’Celious and was written by hitmaker Ester Dean.
Dawn opened up to Rap-Up about the single saying “I wanted to create a vibrant atmosphere. The Red Era is about moving on, redeeming yourself, and finding redemption. It’s time for people to start feeling good and start embracing who they are while dancing in their own light. That time is now … Let’s DANCE!”
Listening to the single, you'll notice that the song is a bit more radio friendly than her previous efforts. Dawn explain the switch-up saying,
“This last era will be more mainstream than I’ve been in a while. It’s vibrant and it’s fun. I’ve been dark for a while, so I’m in a really happy place and I can’t wait for the next chapter.”
The Red Era launches in 2016.
