The Daily Buzz For Sept 18

Living her life like it’s GOLDEN Lupita Nyong'o does the October 2015 Issue Of VOGUE
Lupita Nyong'o is VOGUE's newest cover girl, making her the second black woman to cover the fashion Mag.
Rocking a golden Valentino Haute Couture dress embellished with hardware, laser cuts and shiny red details, Lupita is the epitome of FALL.  By the way, let's not forget that this is Lupita's second VOGUE cover.

Shot by VOGUE photogs MERT & MARCUS and styled by VOGUE stylist Tonne Goodman, the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens and The Jungle Book star is bringing the fabness we've come to love her for.
Ahead of her on-stage production she's set to star in called ECLIPSED, Lupita is dishing on fashion, her skin tone and Yale:
On being discouraged to act in Kenya because of her skin tone: “No. It didn’t ring true. I just thought, I need to find another way.”

On attending her first Couture shows: "When you know a dress is handmade, it completely changes the experience of wearing it.”
On her Yale actor education: “Before, I was just going on instinct, but Yale taught me that it’s about giving yourself permission to pretend.”

On mentoring in her home of Nairobi: “I wanted to go back to Kenya with something to say.”

On America vs. Kenya: “I definitely feel there’s a lot of America in me.  The idea that you can be self-made is very vibrant in America. You can do anything that you want to do. That spirit pushes you on. But it took me leaving Kenya to really appreciate the glory of the place. Ultimately.  I will always be a child of Kenya.”
On having a man and eventually children: “This is my conundrum. When I was back in Kenya this past week, I would be driving along with my mother and she would say, ‘That’s a nice school for children’ and look at me like——” Lupita raises her eyebrows as if to say, My mom wants me to have children now. “But I think that will all be determined when I have that moment. When I have that man.”
On Blackness: “As Africans, we don’t grow up with a racial identity. We grow up with cultural and ethnic identity before racial identity. I never used the word black as a child. It was never a thing. When was I ever discussing black? Why?”

On making Brooklyn her new home: “I live alone there. I lie quite low. I take the subway. I do yoga. I meditate.”

You can check out her full cover story over at VOGUE.

Did Blac Chyna Knew About Tyga's Affair with Transgender Actress?
Transgender actress Mia Isabella says Blac Chyna knew about her relationship with Tyga…

Mia Isabella tells Radar Online
“I received a text a few years ago saying [Tyga] would love to personally meet me. I wasn’t sure if I should meet him, I was still in a relationship. We continued to talk as friends for months and became close as friends. He continued to pursue me for months after.”
“After I had moved to LA, I became single and we continued our friendship until it DID become romantic and we dated steadily for a few years.”
“He asked me to meet his ex and hang out with the two of them numerous times so I assumed she knew about me even though I chose not to meet her.”

Sir Mix-A-Lot Wins Legal Battle Over Nicki Minaj’s Royalties
WOMP Nicki Girl, Sir Mix-A-Lot scored a legal victory in the battle with his former music partner, with a federal court judge siding with the “Baby Got Back” hit maker and throwing out the man’s suit demanding a cut of Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” royalties. According to our friends over at theJasmineBRAND.com,

A musician named David Ford filed a federal lawsuit against Sir Mix A-Lot accusing him of screwing him out of profits made from Nicki Minaj’s hit song “Anaconda.”

Ford explained that in the late 80’s and early 90’s he collaborated with Sir Mix A-Lot on various songs. He says that in the 80’s he started listening to mixtapes and decided he wanted to do what those artists were creating and taught himself how to DJ along with break dance. Ford says eventually he became a well known DJ in Washington, who eventually was introduced to Sir Mix A-Lot.

The two started working on music with Ford as the DJ in the tracks and he even worked on the rappers debut album including the hit song “Baby Got Back”. He claimed over the years he continued to work with Sir Mix A-Lot and even toured with him on occasions. However, after 7 years of working together they ceased working together.
Ford explained that he never had a written agreement with the rapper for their work. He claims that he was shocked to find out that Sir Mix A-Lot obtained copyrights to all the songs and said he was the sole artist who created the music.

The lawsuit said that recently “Baby Got Back” was sampled in Nicki Minaj’s Anaconda and it caused him to investigate why he wasn’t asked for permission for the song to be used. His investigation lead him to the copyrights that Sir Mix A-Lot filed that didn’t include his name. He filed suit, demanding all accounting of profits Sir Mix-A-Lot made from the songs he worked on with him and all records for money he made by sampling hit hit song to Nicki Minaj.
Then, Six Mix-A-Lot fired back at Ford’s legal battle over allegedly unpaid royalties claiming he isn’t owed a dime for the hit song “Baby Got Back”, along with the various other songs he claimed to work on and doesn’t deserve a cut of the profits from Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda”.

The rapper explained that all copyrights he registered are valid and list him as the author NOT Ford and legally he says Ford only had 5 years after the copyright was registered to contest it which he didn’t. He points out he won a Grammy for the ‘Baby Got Back” in 1993 and there is no way Ford could not have know about not being listed on the copyright until last year.
Lastly, he said that his former music partner never signed any agreement with him about royalties or payment for songs he worked on. He demanded the entire lawsuit be thrown out and the court order he doesn’t have to hand over any profits from his song or from the sampling in Nicki Minaj’s hit track

Then on September 11th, the federal court judge came back with his decision and sided with Sir Mix-A-Lot. The judge explains he isn’t buying Ford’s claim he didn’t know he wasn’t listed on the copyrights for the hit songs for decades. Further, he notes that the man failed to show any evidence that he provided anything substantial to the creation of “Baby Got Back” and therefore he cannot claim money from the royalties of Nicki Minaj’s hit song. The judge dismissed the entire case and awarded Sir Mix-A-Lot’s ex-musical partner NOTHING from his complaint.

Bobbi Kristina’s Aunt Leolah Brown Says Bobbi Kristina & Whitney Houston Were Murdered
Leolah Brown is making some serious allegations. In an interview with INSIDE EDITION she states that she believes Bobbi Kristina Brown was murdered, along with her mother, Whitney Houston.
As you know, Leolah is the very outspoken the older sister of Bobbi Kristina’s father Bobby Brown. She doesn’t believe that the unfortunate situation surrounding Bobbi Kristina’s death was an accident.

This was no accident. I will never believe this was an accident… I believe that somebody killed my niece, just like they killed her mother. I don’t know who actually murdered Whitney.
As previously reported, in January, the famous daughter of Whitney and Bobby was found face-down in a bathtub in her home she shared with her boyfriend Nick Gordon. Leolah blames Nick.

Nick murdered Bobbi Kristina. When Nick gets arrested, I think everything will fall like dominoes.
She adds: I believe that several people wanted Bobbi Kristina dead… I think the purpose of her death was to gain full access to Whitney Houston’s estate.
Whitney died of an accidental drowning in a Beverly Hills hotel room in February 2012, when she was 48. Leolah explains why she thinks she too was murdered:

I believe that Whitney was murdered. At some point we have to wake up and realize this is too close, too similar – mother, daughter, both in bathtubs… Something is very, very wrong with that picture.

Ewwww…..Your First look at Jason Pierre-Paul’s hand without bandage after fireworks accident
Beleaguered former football star Jason Pierre-Paul reveals the extent of the damage done to his injured right hand as he leaves his training sessions on September 16th and 17th, 2015. The 26 year old looked miserable as he continues the long road to recovery in order to win his job and his $15M salary back despite missing a portion of his thumb in addition to the right index finger he had amputated after his July

In shocking photos, obtained exclusively by the Daily News on Thursday, Pierre-Paul’s mangled right hand is completely visible for the first time, with no large bandage obscuring the extensive damage. In the photos he is clearly missing his right index finger and has small bandages on his middle finger and thumb.
It’s impossible to tell if the thumb, as reported, is missing the tip. But it doesn’t appear that the hand has healed anywhere near enough for JPP to return to lifting weights or doing football activities any time soon.

Rihanna Covers NME Magazine, Reveals "R8" Is Not Finished
Everybody wants to know when is Rihanna’s (R8) new project is coming out! Anyhow...since "American Oxygen" and "BBHMM" dropped, we've been waiting and waiting like a Heinz Ketchup commercial.....but nothing ever happened. Here's why.....it's just not done.

During her chat with the magazine, the “BBHMM” singer dishes on her upcoming album; admitting that “it’s not done yet” – but promises to deliver “something great” for fans.
When asked for details on the status of her album, she said:
It’s not done! To me it’s never done until it’s done. Until the final moment. No matter what I post online, within three comments there’s somebody saying, ‘Where is ‘R8’?’ I could post anything. Nothing else matters. They don’t care about anything but that. But it makes me excited, because I can’t wait to give them something great.

The album has seen the release of “B*tch Better Have My Money,” “American Oxygen”  “FourFiveSeconds,” featuring Kanye West and Paul McCartney.

Chris Brown Posts Thirsty Fan Message … “My Vagina Is Like A Maze”
Chris Brown finds one fan’s recent Instagram message pretty, pretty comical.
Social media user @mainthotgrande sent Breezy a seemingly provocative message via Twitter on Wednesday morning that read: “My vagina is like a maze without an exit.”
While most celebs would think the tweet was totally over the top, Brown, who probably gets messages like this regularly, thought it was hilarious. The pop star shared the post with his fans on Instagram, writing: “This is some funny sh*t.”
Will Breezy take up the challenge and see if @Mainthotgrande’s vajayjay has an exit? Most likely not, but in the end, this fan has some major bragging rights!

Stevie Wonder Claims His Dead Lawyer Took Advantage “Of A Blind Man” In New Lawsuit
Stevie Wonder has been blind for much of his life and in efforts to prevent his earnings from poached upon, he has kept many of the same people around him.
But lo and behold, it turns out that his longtime friend and late lawyer drummed up a clause that would pay his own widow royalties long after he passed away.
It took the iconic singer a couple of years to spot the jig but now he’s trying to erase his 42-year-old John Hancock in court.

Reports TMZ: Wonder’s dead attorney and right-hand man for decades duped him into signing a contract he never saw … a contract that makes the singer pay the lawyer’s family indefinitely and forever … so claims Stevie.
Stevie just filed legal docs, obtained by TMZ, in which he says his longtime lawyer, Johanan Vigoda, put a contract in front of Stevie’s face when he was 21 years old. The deal was, Stevie would pay Johanan 6% of all music royalties. But there’s a clause that says payments to the lawyer’s family go on “forever.”

Johanan died in 2011, but Stevie’s record company continued to pay Johanan’s widow. Stevie says he didn’t realize payments were being made for nearly 2 years, and when he caught wind, he ordered payments to be stopped. He claims he trusted Johanan and the lawyer never said the 6% would survive his death.
Stevie says in his docs he was betrayed by a man he trusted and wants a judge to declare he no longer has a duty to pay royalties, because the attorney took advantage of a blind man.
Johanan’s widow has filed her own lawsuit, demanding Stevie pay from the time he stopped and forever in the future. She wants $7 mil minimum.

Seven million dollars? Stevie ain’t going to stand for it.

Coming to a city near YOU! Mary J. Blige Is Heading Out On Tour...With Tamar Braxton!
The Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige recently announced a 12-date U.S. tour and we've very excited to bring you the dates and the big news about who's joining her.

Mary is going from city to city with a new live show she's dubbed “MJB Live!” which will start in Augusta, Ga. on October 30th and will breeze through Memphis, Florida, New Jersey and Georgia.
Hmmm......if you have a Food Network fetish, you'll notice that Mary is going to be passing through some "good eating" towns.  Good luck to her and her strict diet. We don't think she's had a carb since "No More Drama."
So who'll join MJB? Drum roll please......... It's Slay-Tay! With a new season of "Tamar & Vince" coming, in addition to her day job on "The Real" and her currently stint on "DWTS" (by the way...she slayed her Quick Step), Tamar Braxton is ALL over the place.

Because Tay Tay (shown above in a new pic with her newly DISengaged co-host Adrienne Bailon) is dropping her new album Calling All Lovers on October 2nd, the tour will be great support for her latest project. But be forewarned......Tamar won't be at every date.

Check the dates below:
Are you here for this?!

OMG! 103 Year Old Georgia Woman Banned from Lifelong Church
*Genora Hamm-Biggs, 103, had been attending services at the Union Grove Baptist Church since she was a child. She even worked there as a secretary for 40 years. So when she received a letter from the church pastor saying she was no longer welcome there, needless to say, she was shocked.

And she is not alone, her community is not taking the news lightly either.
The letter below was provided by Fox Carolina.

Dear Mrs. Genora Hamm Biggs,

This letter is to inform you that according to the by-laws of the Union Grove Baptist Church, and by vote of the active members, any membership or associations that you have had with this church are now officially revoked. Therefore, you cannot attend Union Grove Baptist Church for any reason whatsoever. You are not to come to the property of the Union Grove Baptist Church located at 680 Pulliam Street, Elberton, Georgia 30635.

Sincerely
The members and officers of the Union Grove Baptist Church.
“I was shocked,” Hamm-Biggs said of receiving the letter.
As it turns out, Hamm-Biggs and the Reverend Tim Mattox never did have a good relationship. The elder had been at odds  with the pastor’s preaching style since he came to the church six years ago.
“At one point, he had a crew in here and they were hollering and falling out in the middle of the floor. We don’t do that in the Baptist Church,” said Hamm-Biggs.

“We didn’t realize he was holy-sanctified until later.” –Genora Hamm-Biggs
But her disagreement with his style didn’t necessarily mean she wanted out of the church she had attended all of her life. The only church she knew. So despite the letter, she returned to her church the following Sunday.

But Mattox called the police on her. Labeling it a “civil dispute,” the police said there was nothing they could do about it.
Many members of the congregation have left the church in protest, since the letter to Hamm-Biggs.
Ezell Land, one of the members who left the church after 50 years, told Fox, “You can’t do that to somebody. She has been part of this church her whole life. She was even the church secretary for 40 years. That’s just not good pastoring to do that,” she said.
