FASHION ALERT: EBONY'S September 2015 Issue Celebrates The Industry's Top Black Models
We are in the midst of a model moment. As Naomi Campbell, Iman and BethAnn Hardison lead the charge in calling out fashion designers who don't hire Black models for their runway shows, EBONY has picked up the torch - dedicating the cover of the September 2015 issue to the industry's top talent.
EBONY's September Fall Fashion issue serves as a symbol of affirmation in an era where many black models are fading away from the runway and the pages of magazines. The mag reveals in its “Race & The Runway” article that of the 9,538 model bookings that took place across 373 Fall 2015 fashion shows in New York, London, Milan and Paris, 80 percent were White; and Black models comprised less than 8 percent. Outrageous!
Inside, EBONY talks to three generations of runway icons, including Pat Cleveland, Beverly Johnson, Roshumba and Tyra Banks, who share testimonies that affirm that Black models are ambassadors representing far more than the physical grace of Black people; they also represent our pride.
Then, Gail O’Neill reflects on how big business has affected Black models, “When I started in 1985, the industry was far more integrated. I feel sorry for the Black girls working today. So many times there is just one brown face, maybe two, in the couture shows…I can’t even count how many brown girls I would see every time the collections came around.”
And of course......there's the fab cover story and photo shoot. “Made You Look," profiles six models rocking fall’s boldest trends, daring to represent the “ah-mazing” skin they are in. The diversity of Black skin is highlighted in the ten-page high fashion spread where we say hello to a new crop of models: Chantelle Winnie (IG: WinnieHarlow), Milan Dixon (IG: ModeloMilano), Fatima Siad (IG: FatimaSiad), Marquita Pring (IG: MarquitaPring), Diandra Forrest (IG: DiandraForrest), and Samantha Archibald (IG: ThinkThinkBrainBlast).
In a press release about the issue EBONY EIC Kierna Mayo said, “Thank you Black models of then and now—so present and despite what seems like fewer of you working today—so there. We see you injecting brown bodies into spaces where we have all but been erased.”

"[Ciara and I] were very close. My brother and her were childhood friends. I just looked at her like a sister. At the end of the day, I don’t know how all these different stories got misconstrued and put out. I’ve read all kinds of stuff that is absolutely not true. She and I did have a disagreement. We both had issues with each other. When you have been friends for a long time, almost two decades, and you let things fester and you don’t talk about them it can cause a breakdown that other people may not understand."
"I love her. I’m not going to build somebody up to break them down no matter what has taken place. And if ever I did anything that hurt or bothered her it was never intentional because my love is always from a sincere place. I read something that I didn’t tell her about somebody cheating. None of that stuff is true. They said I was friends with someone he was cheating with. None of that is true."

#RHONY! Presidential Hopeful Hillary Clinton Watches RHONY! Which Housewife Is Her Favorite?
Several celebrities are never shy when revealing their love of The Real Housewives of New York City. Recently, both Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera expressed their love for the housewives. They even said their favorite was newbie Dorinda Medley. It seems as though Dorinda and the show have one more very famous fan.
During part one of the RHONY reunion, Andy Cohen revealed that Dorinda heard from 2016 presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton about the show!
“Yes, can you believe that?” Dorinda replied to Andy. “‘Cause Richard used to work on [Bill Clinton's] campaign so I got a call from one of the people who work on it and they said, ‘You know I just want to tell you that Hillary really enjoys you on the show.’ I didn’t even know what to say.”
In Dorinda’s Bravo biography, it was revealed that she has helped raise money for Hillary in the past.
“In 2005, Dorinda met and married Richard Medley, and together they worked on fund-raising for causes with the likes of Desmond Tutu, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Hilary Clinton,” her biography stated.

T.I. and Tiny Owe the IRS Over $4.5M
Atlanta Hip Hop Power couple T.I. and Tameka “Tiny” Harris owe the IRS over $4.5 million, according to a report on the NY Post’s Page Six.
T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., owes the IRS in back taxes for 2012 and 2013. The IRS filed tax liens against the rapper and his wife to the tune of $4.5 million.
Maybe that explains why Tameka purchased a new mansion in south Atlanta in case the feds seize their $4.2 million Jonesboro manse featured on their hit TV series T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle.

The first federal tax lien was filed earlier this month in Georgia and states the “Blurred Lines” rapper, 34, along with his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris (in the document she is listed as Tameka Cottle), owe the US government just under $1.4 million in unpaid taxes for the year 2012.
The Feds filed a second lien solely against Harris for unpaid taxes in 2013 amounting to nearly $3.2 million.

“I apologize to the women I’ve hurt. I deeply regret what I did and know that it has forever impacted all of our lives.”
Dre's business partners at Apple also released a statement,
“Dre has apologized for the mistakes he’s made in the past and he’s said that he’s not the same person that he was 25 years ago. We believe his sincerity and after working with him for a year and a half, we have every reason to believe that he has changed.”
ICYF! Compton is Dre's first album in 15 years. However as for the movie Straight Outta Compton once again topped the box office, bringing in an estimated $26.8 million and handily beating this weekend’s three other new releases. The N.W.A. biopic opened to an enormous $60.2 million last weekend, and 10 days after its release, Compton has already grossed more than $111 million domestically. Compton was actually one of two Universal movies to cross that milestone this weekend, as Amy Schumer’s Trainwreck also hit the $100 million mark. That brings Universal’s total number of $100+ million films to seven this year.
Wedding Bells! Nicki Minaj Gets Emotional At Her Brother's Wedding
On Saturday, Nicki Minaj attended the wedding of her older brother Jelani...and it was an emotional moment for her.
Via a series of captions, it's easy to see that Nicki and Jelani are very close and protective of one another.

Tank calls on Wale to drop a verse on his new slow jam, “You Don’t Know.” The R&B singer makes it his mission to prove to his lady that it’s all about her, with lyrics like: “What’s it gonna take for you to know you’re the only one I want around?”
And, Wale’s trying to decipher whether its “love or lust”.. “I can’t say though,” he raps. You’ll also hear Tank borrowing from Patti LaBelle‘s classic, “If Only You Knew,” as he hits his falsetto on the hook.

It appears that there may be a bun in the oven for Kelis (real name Kelis Rogers Mora). Over the weekend, the 36-year-old (who celebrated her birthday this week) singer performed at Afropunk.
According to the flix and attendees, Kelis appeared to be pregnant, sporting an adorable baby bump
If Kelis is pregnant, this will be her second child. In 2009, Kelis and her ex-husband, welcomed a baby boy named Knight.
YUK! Raven Symone Apologizes For Spitting In Cup, Passing It to Co-Host
An embarrassing clip of Raven Symone has gone viral — and unfortunately for her, it happened on live TV.
On Friday, during a segment on The View the co-hosts were discussing and tasting the benefits of salt-water. Apparently, the taste was too much for Raven to swallow, as she spat the salt-water back in her cup. So what’s the big deal? Well, after spitting in the cup, she handed it to her co-host, Molly Sims, which she drank.

Birdman Sued $350K By Former Employee For Being Overworked
Birdman is landsliding the race to become the most sued rapper of all-time and the marathon continues as a former employee of his is accusing him of being worked and whipped like Toby.

theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports that the music mogul has been hit with yet another lawsuit, this time by an ex-employee who worked for the Cash Money founder and is accusing him of working him over 70 hours a week and not paying him a dime.
A man named Javier Nuno filed suit against Birdman (real name Bryan Williams) accusing him of violating labor laws by screwing him out of overtime despite working countless hours for him.
The man says he worked as a non-exempt employee for Birdman from September 2012 to February 23rd 2015, working from the rappers mega-mansion in Florida.
He calculated the overtime pay and says he is owed a total of $48,375 for the extra time he worked. The suit says Birdman also owed the man a total of 129k for the regular time he worked for him, for a grand total of $177,375 in unpaid wages.
The ex-employee filed suit demanding the money he is owed plus damages for a grand total of $354,750. Birdman has yet to respond to the lawsuit.
Of course he hasn’t. This is has become his m.o.
The Celebs came to Praise The Lord At Megafest 2015
TD Jakes hosted Megafest 2015 in Dallas, TX and we spotted several celebs performing and participating in panels...
"Bessie" star Tika Sumpter participated in Girl Talk while at Megafest, and she looked fab in a simple Victoria Beckham dress.
"For Better of Worse" actress Tasha Smith, who shared her testimony at several panels, was spotting posing with Tika backstage.
One of Tasha's panels ("Girl Talk") included Tina Knowles-Lawson. And the newlywed mama is looking amazing.
On a later panel, Tamar Braxton joined Tika Sumpter and a few other saved and sanctified chicks.
Tamar posted a pic from one of her MegaFest highlights, a performance with gospel great Fred Hammond. She wrote "I sang with one of my favs @realfredh tonight!... I #megafeast2015"
