The MINIONS RULE the Box Office ‘Minions’ rakes in $115.2 million!
The yellow henchmen of Despicable Me are now Hollywood box-office superheroes in their own right.
Minions had a monstrous debut of $115.2 million this weekend, according to Rentrak, and the animated spinoff continued to cement the cute little gibberish-spouting characters as a pop-culture force.
"They're bigger than SpongeBob (SquarePants). They just have that mass appeal right now and are basically a merchandiser's dream," says Jeff Bock, senior box-office analyst for Exhibitor Relations.
Minions' opening is the second biggest all time for an animated film — Shrek the Third holds the record with $121.6 million in 2007 — and the movie's Friday haul of $46.2 million is the best single day ever for a cartoon feature. Also rolling up into an international total of $280.5M and a worldwide total of $395.7M.
Minions added to the success of the two previous Despicable Me films, which racked up more than $600 million domestically and $1.5 billion worldwide.

The Minions were the breakout stars of that franchise, and the new film is just giving audiences what they crave, says Rentrak media analyst Paul Dergarabedian. "More Minions equals more millions."
Adds Bock: "Minions hits that strange Forrest Gump area where they're kind of fools but there's something really sweet about them. If you hit that right, it's very endearing to audiences."
Kids are a major force behind the movie's success, obviously: According to a Rentrak exit survey, a whopping 77% of youngsters said they would definitely recommend Minions and 65% of the audience was under age 25. It's skewing toward women and girls, too, as females accounted for 56% of Minions moviegoers.
"We're just seeing females in general being an integral part of so many movies this year," says Dergarabedian.
Dinosaur-laden Jurassic World is still stomping all over most of its competition. The blockbuster made $18.1 million in its fifth weekend, good enough for No. 2, and continues to march toward $600 million total in North America.
Inside Out, which takes place inside a tween's head, is third with $17.1 million. After nearly a month, its $283.7 million box office ranks fourth-highest overall among Disney/Pixar animated movies.
Rounding out the top five were Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator Genisys, which made $13.7 million in its second weekend, and newcomer The Gallows, a low-budget horror film with a $10 million debut.

Empire director Lee Daniels announced via Instagram that Tyrese will join Taraji P. Henson aka Cookie, along with the rest of the cast on season two of the hit FOX drama. Daniels also cleared up rumors that he had left his own show saying, “NO, I am not leaving my show! I just wrapped my 1st episode.”
And of course, Tyrese was hella excited.
This is a big win for Tyrese who has been damn near Keith Sweat begging to be on the show. Congrats Tyrese, your persistence paid off.
No word on what his role will be or whether it’s just one episode or more, but he’s probably trying to secure a series regular role. Do you, boo boo. No hate over here, Tyrese.

As any New Yorker who rides the subway knows, at any given time, you can expect someone to run up in your train car selling candy, breakdancing or trying to convince you to buy their mixtape.
Usually those people are your everyday folks who don’t have celebrity status. Except for Tyrese, who did exactly that when he hopped on a Brooklyn train to promote his new album, Black Rose.
To get everyone’s attention, Tyrese began with, “Excuse me everybody, my name is Tyrese. I’m a singer.” He continued, “I left all of the major record labels so that I could do my thing as an independent artist.” From there he encouraged the passengers to download his new album on iTunes, in a very “upcomer-ish” way.
But, Tyrese’s speech quickly turned into comedy as he told the subway passengers he had a security team riding along with him. From there, he started to engage with one passenger in particular and the laughter ensued.

Cynthia Bailey Speaks Of RHOA Season Eight Cast And Claudia Jordan’s Firing
Casting rumors for the eighth season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta have been circulating all over the Internet. With NeNe Leakes leaving the show and Claudia Jordan allegedly being fired, Cynthia Bailey is speaking out on the changes that could come to the show next season.
In an interview with Real Mr. Housewife, Cynthia was asked about the casting for the upcoming season of RHOA. She first addressed rumors of Claudia’s firing and said nothing can be confirmed yet.
“I still think it’s a little too early to say if Claudia Jordan is officially gone to be honest,” Cynthia discussed. “We haven’t started filming yet and the process has been a little unpredictable in the past couple of years. Claudia came on as a friend and ended up being a Housewife.”
She also thinks Claudia should keep her spot on the show for another season.
Cynthia continued, “When it comes to Claudia Jordan, I think it’s not over till it’s over. I thought she was a great addition to the show. She’s fearless and she’s 100% real and I don’t think there’s anyone else on the show like Claudia Jordan. I think she’s uniquely herself. It’s great to show different, strong personalities, and I thought she was definitely a breath of fresh air.”
Even though Cynthia said it is too early to tell with casting for season eight, rumors have gone around that Cynthia, Kenya Moore, Kandi Burruss, Phaedra Parks, and Porsha Williams will be full-time housewives next season. With a few spots possibly being open, Cynthia would like to see some new faces on the show.
“I always think it’s a good idea to bring in new people that aren’t as invested and don’t have invested friendships yet,” Cynthia said. “I don’t think it should be one person it should be a couple of people. I think they should be someone that is strong, opinionated, and willing to jump in and mix it up a little bit.”
Even though Cynthia would like new women to join the cast, she says it should not be women with her personality traits!
“We definitely don’t need another smart, beautiful, classy girl to come in. That spot is already filled,” Cynthia jokingly added.

While the couple previously announced the due date would be around this time, we haven't heard any updates from Steph or Ayesha herself. Until yesterday when the Golden State Warrior tweeted out this message:
"My wife is a champ!"
This definitely raised our eyebrows as it sounded like he could be praising his wife for handling the birthing process like a pro. Our suspicions were confirmed when Steph's sister, Sydel Curry, commented on a Steph Curry fan page. She revealed:
She says the new baby was born on Friday, July 10th. If all of this rings true, congrats are in order for the Currys!

George Michael ADDICTED TO CRACK relative petrified he will DIE?
George Michael was addicted to crack cocaine before he checked into rehab last year, a family member has claimed.
Jackie Georgiou, wife of the singer's cousin Andros, told Pete Sampson at The Sun she is 'petrified' the 52-year-old will die after claiming his alleged binges on crack, cocaine, alcohol and marijuana left him a drug-addled wreck.
In a shocking interview, she said: 'He was smoking crack. Before he went away he was he got to the point where he would be shaking, saying, "I need it."
'There were parties where he was taking drugs and collapsing and being picked off the floor. Waking up in vomit, horrible things. He was so thin, so ill.
'It's crack, it's marijuana, it's drink, it's coke. It was pretty dark and things were getting darker. He was going to end up locked up or dead. I'm petrified he will die.'
The 45-year-old made the comments as it was reported the Wham star checked himself into one of the world's priciest addiction clinics, the $190,000-a-month Kusnacht Practice in Switzerland, in June last year.
Last month, a report in German newspaper, Bild, claimed he has been at the centre 'for months'.
As well as alcohol and drug addictions, the clinic treats 'eating disorders, gambling compulsivity, depression, trauma and internet compulsivity'.

A Florida Woman Wore Wire While Talking To Subway’s Jared Fogle New Details In Investigation!
A Florida woman who was a whistleblower — and wore a wire — in the probe of Jared Fogle, explained the events that led to the Subway pitchman’s home being raided this week.
Fogle made a number of inappropriate remarks that spurred the unidentified woman to contact the FBI, she told Sarasota, Florida’s WWSB.
“The subject matter is similar to what the FBI found when they raided his home — it goes deeper than that — that’s exactly what started this,” the woman said. “When I presented it to the FBI the first thing that they said to me is, ‘Is this who I think this is?’ and I said, ‘Yes it is,’ and it just went full gear after that.”
The woman said that she first made Fogle’s acquaintance in Florida 10 years ago, during his visits to events such as the America Heart Association walk.
“It was obvious to me that he found himself to be very comfortable with me,” the woman said. “He said something to me when we were off camera and that really stuck with me because I thought to myself, did he really just say that to me?”
The woman confirmed that authorities had wiretapped her when she would talk to Fogle, who has not been arrested or charged with any crimes in the wake of his home being raided on Tuesday.
In related news, Fogle’s role in Syfy’s Sharknado 3 was cut Thursday amid the scandal. Fogle had appeared in the previous film, Sharknado 2: The Second One.
As previously reported, Fogle who has previous ties to porn is reportedly close friends with his former foundation head Russell Taylor, who has been accused of multiple felony child porn charges by federal officials. Stay tuned for further details!
Bobby Brown and Wife Alicia Etheredge Welcome a Baby Girl
*In the midst of all the bad news surrounding his daughter Bobbi Kristina, singer Bobby Brown and his wife Alicia Etheredge have been paid a visit by the stork.
Today, Saturday, July 11, the couple welcomed into the world a baby girl
The baby was born at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, according to Entertainment Tonight, the first outlet to report the news.
Brown and Etheredge were married in 2012 and have a 5-year-old son named Cassius. With today’s birth Brown is now the father of six children.
Obviously the news of the new addition to the family is comes with mixed emotions as Brown’s 22-year-old daughter with the late Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina Brown, has been in hospice care since mid-June. She was found unconscious in her bathtub in Roswell, Georgia, on Jan. 31.

Rapper Capo Shot & Killed In Chicago
Rapper Capo, an affiliate of Chief Keef’s clique (Glory Boyz Entertainment), was shot and killed in Chicago on Saturday afternoon.
With reports still flying around Twitter, an alleged video of the shooting’s aftermath — with Capo lying in a pool of blood — has apparently surfaced.
NSFW’s video shows the rapper unresponsive. The air is filled with sirens and the paramedics asking for space from the onlookers to work. Twitter has been sending an outpouring of fans and fellow musicians’ well-wishes and memorials are going on via Twitter and Instagram right now.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the shooting happened around 1:40 p.m. when Capo was shot in the hip and back while standing in the 7700 block of South Kingston Avenue. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and listed in serious-to-critical condition, according to Chicago Fire Department Cmdr. Frank Velez and police. He later succumbed to his wounds according to multiple sources. TMZ later reported the fleeing suspects hit a baby stroller with their vehicle and also killed a 13-month-old boy. Two suspects are in custody.

Harrison Ford appeared at Comic-Con in 2010 to support Cowboys & Aliens (and then in 2013 for Ender’s Game), but the actor returned to Hall H on Friday night to cheers reserved for the best pilot in the galaxy (far, far away). The 72-year-old made his first public appearance since sustaining injuries in a plane crash earlier this year as part of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens panel at Comic-Con.
“I’m fine,” Ford said, as he took the stage alongside fellow original trilogy co-stars Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher. “My foot? I just walked here,” Ford added.
In March, Ford was flying a vintage World War II plane when he had engine trouble on takeoff. “He had no other choice but to make an emergency landing, which he did safely,” his representative said at the time of the crash. “He was banged up and is in the hospital receiving medical care. The injuries sustained are not life threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery.”
Ford’s injuries did not affect the production on Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

R.I.P Christian Audigier Passes Away at 57
It’s a sad day in the fashion universe as one of the biggest and brightest stars Christian Audigier has lost his battle with cancer on (July 9).
The 57-year-old designer had been diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome (bone disease) back in January, the same disease Robin Roberts of “Good Morning America” fought back in 2012.
Among Christian’s many accomplishments was his fabulous work with Ed Hardy, Von Dutch, Diesel, Guess, XOXO, Bisou Bisou and Levi’s. He was also loved by celebrities like Ashton Kutcher, the late Michael Jackson and Madonna.
