The Daily Buzz For June 16

Katy Perry Makes ‘Em Blush In Her New Moschino Spread
Switching gears from singer to poser, Katy Perry is featured in a new series of snapshots for the upcoming Moschino Fall/Winter 2015 campaign.
And as could be expected, the “Hot N Cold” hitmaker shows off plenty of skin, sporting a Moschino jacket to cover her naked body in one of the fabulous photographs.
Back in 2014, Katy found herself in hot water after showing up an hour late for the brand’s Milan Fashion Week presentation. Perry yelled at the cranky shutterbugs, “You’re all going to get your picture, so shut the f*ck up.” Creative director Jeremy Scott also defended Katy, noting,
“We weren’t waiting on @KatyPerry to start the @Moschino show we were waiting on models who were late.”

CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS CAPTURE 3RD STANLEY CUP IN 6 YEARS
The city of broad shoulders, strong enough to carry the silver trophy once again. A Windy City party 77 years in the making.
Duncan Keith scored in the second period and directed a dominant defense that shut down Tampa Bay's high-scoring attack, and the Blackhawks beat the Lightning 2-0 in Game 6 on Monday night for their third NHL title in the past six seasons.

"It doesn't feel real right now. It's unbelievable," captain Jonathan Toews said. "Feels like a dream. Every time we do it, it gets better and better. It's an amazing feeling."
Patrick Kane had a goal and an assist, helping the Blackhawks clinch the Cup on home ice for the first time since 1938. Corey Crawford, who was pulled from Chicago's first-round series against Nashville, had 25 saves in his fifth career playoff shutout.
Keith was a unanimous selection for the Conn Smythe Trophy for playoff MVP after he finished with 21 points while playing over 700 minutes in a grueling postseason.

"We just seem to get better and better every year," defenseman Brent Seabrook said. "We've been lucky enough to win three. Every time we've won it, it seems to get better."

Did Beyonce Steal the song XO?
Beyonce is currently being sued by a singer/songwriter for 'allegedly' stealing the song XO but Queen Bey calls the claims ridiculous…
Last year Ahmad Lane slapped Beyonce with a $7 million lawsuit claiming he gave Beyonce's current back-up dancer Chrissy Collins a copy of his single XOXO and that she passed it on to Beyonce who turned it into her hit single XO.

In her counter suit Beyonce points out that as a songwriter with “17 Grammy awards and 118 million records sold” she has no reason to steal a song from a backup singer.

The case is pending.

Terrence Howard and Wife Miranda Welcome Baby Boy
‘Empire’ star Terrence Howard and his wife Miranda are the proud parents of a newborn baby boy.
Howard told Us Weekly his wife gave birth to their son about 4 weeks ago.
From Us Weekly magazine:
“He’s beautiful and strong and a whirlwind and my wife is so happy,” the Empire star told Access Hollywood. “She has to be up with him all throughout the day.” Joking, he added, “I wasn’t born with boobs, I’ve started growing some recently.”

To balance out the parenting responsibilities, Howard handles Qirin’s p.m. needs. “I pull night duty, so that she can sleep,” he explained. “I keep him with me and will take some of the pre-pumped, you know, breast cheese, whatever you want to call it.”
Qirin is Howard’s fourth child; he’s also dad to daughters Aubrey and Heaven and son Hunter, from his marriage to Lori McCommas, which ended in 2007. He and his second wife, Michelle Ghent, had no children together.

Brittney Griner, STOP lying on Glory? YOU ARE THE PARENT!
Glory Johnson: ‘Brittney Griner Signed All Documents for In Vitro Treatment’
WNBA player Glory Johnson says her estranged “wife” Brittney Griner knew all about her pregnancy before filing for an annulment weeks after their “wedding”.
In an email to the Associated Press, Johnson said Griner not only knew about her pregnancy but she was present when Johnson underwent expensive in-vitro fertilization treatments.
“I am truly really saddened by the recent turn of events and was not expecting to have our marriage end so abruptly,” wrote Johnson, 24, in the email on June 12.
Johnson told the AP she wanted to address “inaccurate statements” surrounding her pregnancy and marriage.

“At no stage was Brittney pressured to undertake the fertility process. In fact, throughout the entire process, Brittney was a willing participant, consenting and signing all the necessary documents that needed to be signed in order to move forward with the treatments.”
Griner filed for an annulment on June 5, one day after Johnson announced her pregnancy on social media.
If Griner did sign paperwork, she may be held financially responsible for the infant.
Johnson denied Griner’s statement that she was “pressured” into marriage and that the marriage was based on “fraud and duress”.
“In addition, while we may have both had our reservations, we both willfully and joyfully walked down the aisle together and decided to get married,” Johnson wrote.
Griner and Johnson were arrested and charged with domestic violence on April 22. Against family’s advice they got “married” in an intimate ceremony just weeks later.
Both players received 7 game suspensions by the WNBA. Griner plays for the Phoenix Mercury and Johnson plays for the Tulsa Shock.

Johnson has moved out of the Phoenix home she and Griner purchased together, and where the fight took place. She plans to remain in Oklahoma with her family.
I am ready to begin focusing on my health, pregnancy, and am going to remain in Tulsa to continue to build my relationship with the Tulsa Shock organization, and my teammates,” Johnson wrote in the email. “I appreciate the support of my fans, family, and loved ones and look forward to returning to the basketball court as soon as I can.”

Why was this Baltimore Teen RAPED and set on FIRE by her FRIENDS?
Baltimore teen raped, strangled and set on fire by two men she believed were her friends.
Instead of assisting with college prep, a Baltimore family is mourning the loss of high school student Arensha Bowers, 16.

According to the Baltimore Sun, the 11th-grade student was brutally murdered earlier this month by two men who are said to be members of the Bloods gang.
Investigators say that Adonay Dixon, 23, and John Childs, 20, preyed on Bowers after meeting her at a party in hopes of stealing from her grandmother, Sandra Bowers, with whom she lived. Apparently, the men were under the impression that the girl’s grandmother was wealthy.

“They believed the house would contain items of value because Arnesha’s grandmother has a job and owned two vehicles, and planned to break into the property and steal any valuables,” police wrote in a report.

Bowers’ grandmother picked her up from an apartment building where Dixon and Childs lived on Saturday, June 6. Childs told investigators that Dixon followed the pair to their residence. He later returned with Childs when he knew that the teen’s grandmother was at work.
The two entered the residence through a basement window, and police say that Dixon planned to place Bowers in a chokehold if she woke up during the burglary. Unfortunately, when the teen woke up and discovered the pair in her home, things took a deadly turn. Childs says that Dixon dragged Bowers into the basement and stayed there for 30 minutes. He went on to tell police that his accomplice later emerged from the basement and said that they needed to leave because the house was on fire. The duo got away with $40, an iPad and a laptop. The teen had been raped, strangled and set on fire. Thanks to tips from the community and evidence collected at the scene, police were able to track down the suspects.
“They have ripped my heart out and turned my world upside down. She was a bright light and now she will forever shine in my heart,” Bowers’ grieving mother told WJZ.

Arnesha had just taken her SATs and was exploring college options.

Mariah Carey Reaches Confidential Settlement w/ Ex-Nanny Who Claims She Was Fired For Being Too Affectionate!
Mariah Carey has reached a confidential settlement with her former nanny – who accused the pop star of firing her for being too affectionate with her children – despite her claims the woman’s lawsuit was only an attempt to shake her down for money. According to our friends over at thejasminebrand.com
Earlier this year, a woman named Simonette DaCosta filed a federal lawsuit against Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. DaCosta – who was the couples former full time Nanny for their 2 children – claimed she was fired for being too affectionate to the twins.

The woman explained that she worked for Mariah and Nick since the kids were infants and would feed, bath and comfort them. She said Mariah wasn’t pleased when she would show the twins affection and often would berate her for doing so.
DaCosta claimed she was overworked – sometimes putting in over 100 hours a week – without ever being paid overtime. She sued, demanding the unpaid overtime hours and damages for Mariah’s violation of the labor laws.

Then on May 19th, Mariah fired back at her former employee stating the woman did work for her from October 2013 to February 2014. The pop star says the woman did live with her while taking care of the kids, but she was never NOT paid for her services.
Mariah said says the ex-nanny is lying about her terminating her due to showing too much affection to her children. Further, the singer blasted the idea that she violated labor laws and explained that the woman was paid for every hour she worked. Mariah also says that DaCosta was a live in domestic service worker and was paid under those guidelines.
Mariah also accused her former employee of filing the lawsuit in bad faith and only in an attempt to harass her, claiming the allegations are frivolous and groundless. She demanded the lawsuit be dismissed and her ex-nanny be awarded nothing.

Then on June 9th, docs were filed in the case that explain Mariah and DaCosta have reached a settlement in the legal battle. The two parties have come to a private agreement which will dismiss the entire case and all claims against Mariah and Nick.

Queen Latifah and partner Eboni Nichols take a leisurely stroll in New York wearing matching white T-shirts
Queen Latifah appeared relaxed and in great spirits as she stepped out with partner Eboni Nichols on Monday.
The duo took a leisurely stroll around New York's East Village in matching white T-shirts.
Keeping it casual, Latifah - born Dana Owens - teamed grey drop-crotch sweatpants with striped slip-on shoes.
Latifah has been spotted several times out and about with her dancer companion. In August they shared a kiss on the beach in Sardinia - though they are yet to publicly confirm their relationship.
Meanwhile the former rapper sold her 2,026 sq ft Hollywood Hills home - which she co-owned personal trainer Jeanette Jenkins - for $1.65 million last month.
The quaint house, built in 1922, had been remodeled to include contemporary interiors, an open floor plan and French doors. The duo bought it in 2009 for $1.34 million and she listed the house in the fall at $1.939 million.
Latifah has always stayed quiet about her private life but has been vocal about gay rights.
In an April interview with Uptown magazine, the award-winning singer did talk about how she believes society isn't accepting enough of black gay people. Look cute and comfy!

Malaak Rock Wants a BIG PIECE of Chris Rock’s 70 Million Dollar fortune!
You already knew that the Chris Rock/Malaak Compton divorce wasn’t going down smooth and easy, especially after 19 years of marriage.
According to the New York Post, the legendary comedian’s $70 million has just been put on the endangered species list.

Reports Page Six: Malaak Compton-Rock is demanding a huge hunk of her husband’s $70 million fortune so she can maintain a Champagne-and-caviar lifestyle, a copy of her divorce papers reveals.
The stay-at-home mom married the ex-“Saturday Night Live” star in 1996 after they met at the Essence Awards while she was working in public relations.
She soon gave up her career and became a full-time mother, court papers say.
Compton-Rock, 46, now spends much of her time caring for the couple’s kids — Lola Simone, 13, and Zahra Savannah, 11 — in their posh home in Alpine, NJ, where their neighbors include singer Mary J. Blige and Yankee pitcher CC Sabathia.

Both parties agree their prenup has expired under a sunset clause, meaning they could face a battle over the eight-figure family bank account, a filing in Bergen County court shows.
The papers also say she and Rock, 50, have already agreed to 50-50 child custody.
Compton-Rock spends her free time on the charity circuit. She runs a group called The Angel Rock Project and in 2008 appeared as a judge on the ABC reality show “Oprah’s Big Give,” where she clinked Champagne glasses with actress Vivica A. Fox and “Sopranos” star Lorraine Bracco.

The court filings say Compton-Rock deserves a payout “commensurate with the marital standard of living” because of all her child-rearing and charitable endeavors.
Divorce can be so…depressing.
