SADNESS BLACK LOVE ENDS! Chris Rock Files For Divorce From Malaak Compton-Rock
SADNESS: Well this can explain why Chis Rock's wife has been M.I.A. these last couple of years.
Chris just filed divorce papers to end his almost two-decade marriage to Malaak Compton-Rock.  The 49-year-old Top 5 star must be banking on starting 2015 and his 50th b-day year with a new slate.

Malaak submitted a statement to People emphasizing her philanthropy work:

"After much contemplation and 19 years of marriage, Chris and I have decided to go our separate ways.  Being fortunate enough to lead a life of service by working with those most vulnerable makes me well aware of life's blessings, even when faced with difficulties.
"While recognizing that this is a significant change, my children remain at the center of my life and their well-being is my top priority. It is in this spirit that I sincerely ask that their privacy and the privacy of our family be respected during this transition in our lives."

The couple's lawyer, Robert S. Cohen, chimed in saying: "Chris Rock has filed for divorce from his wife, Malaak.  This is a personal matter and Chris requests privacy as he and Malaak work through this process and focus on their family.”

Back in 2006, Chris had divorce papers drawn up but ended up reconciling with his wife.  They have been married since 1996.
No word yet on the custody decision for their two daughters they have together, Lola Simone, 12, and Zahra Savannah, 10. Always sad to see relationships end. All the best to them with their happiness.

IT’S OVER: President Obama Officially marks the end of combat in Afghanistan
Thirteen years and more than 2,000 American casualties after it began, the war in Afghanistan will conclude responsibly, President Barack Obama said on Sunday.
In a written statement marking the formal end of U.S. combat there, Obama said the remaining 10,000 or so American troops in Afghanistan would still face danger but that the longest U.S. war ever was now history.
"Our personnel will continue to face risks, but this reflects the enduring commitment of the United States to the Afghan people and to a united, secure and sovereign Afghanistan that is never again used as a source of attacks against our nation," Obama said.
 Multiple Militant Attacks in Afghanistan
American troops went to fight in Afghanistan following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, and the U.S. spent more than $1 trillion dollars there and lost upwards of 2,200 servicemen and women.

Obama vowed to wind the Afghan war down when he took office, eventually announcing this year he would reduce the number of troops stationed there to about 10,000 — a massive reduction from the nearly 150,000 who once served.
In a ceremony in Afghanistan's capital of Kabul on Sunday, the commander of the International Security Assistance Force officially marked the end of coalition combat in Afghanistan by rolling up the ISAF flag.
The city has suffered an uptick in Taliban violence as the drawdown date approached, though U.S. officials maintain the country is far better off now than when the U.S. began its mission 13 years ago.
"Our courageous military and diplomatic personnel in Afghanistan — along with our NATO allies and coalition partners — have helped the Afghan people reclaim their communities, take the lead for their own security, hold historic elections and complete the first democratic transfer of power in their country's history," Obama said.
The President has spent much of last year marking the withdrawal of combat troops in Afghanistan, from his announcement in May that U.S. combat troops would leave the country by January 2015, to an appearance at Fort Dix earlier this month acknowledging persistent security challenges there.
"Afghanistan is still a very dangerous place," Obama said at the New Jersey base. "But I want you, and every American who has served in Afghanistan, to be proud of what you've accomplished there."
Currently on vacation with his family in Hawaii, the President used a Christmas address to Marines stationed on Oahu to hail the achievements of the U.S. military in Afghanistan, asserting the U.S. is safer because of the effort there.
Afghanistan is "not going to be a source of terrorist attacks again," he said at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe Bay.
Other U.S. officials — including Vice President Joe Biden and Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel — have also marked the end of the U.S. combat mission in Afghanistan. Hagel said Sunday the work of U.S. troops has "made our world safer and given Afghanistan the opportunity to chart a secure, democratic, and prosperous future."
Sen. John McCain, the Arizona Republican, visited Kabul on Christmas to meet with Afghanistan's new president.

Matt Lauer and The Today Show’s SHADE on Amy Adams!
Amy Adams on the ‘Today’ debacle: ‘I was confused & definitely frustrated’
I really think the Today Show producers made TWO huge mistakes with this whole Amy Adams mess. Their first mistake was kicking her off the show after she told them she didn’t want to discuss the Sony Hack. The second mistake was trying to make Amy sound like some kind of deranged diva and blaming her for the entire incident. I’m sorry, but no one is buying it. Amy has the reputation as one of the nicest, most polite and most hard-working people in Hollywood. She is very definition of “no drama.” And no one will take the word of Today’s producers that Amy is some kind of unhinged, tantrum-prone jackass.

Last we heard, Harvey Weinstein – the producer of Amy’s current film, Big Eyes – was on the warpath. He’s Twihard Proof-ing the Today Show, trying to break down their claims that Amy pitched a fit and made a staffer cry. Harvey wants an investigation. Harvey wants Matt Lauer on his knees, apologizing to Amy in person. Well, Page Six says that Weinstein Company people were in “tense negotiations” with Today Show people late into Christmas Eve.

And Harvey sent Amy out to say something about the situation directly:
Amy Adams says she is still “really confused” about having her live interview on The Today Show dramatically pulled minutes before it was due to take place Monday morning. Adams told USA TODAY on Tuesday night that she was “surprised” that the segment was unceremoniously canceled after she expressed misgivings over discussing aspects of the Sony hacking scandal on live television.
Speaking at a Los Angeles screening for her new film Big Eyes, Adams says she was supposed to be discussing her movie on The Today Show. But the show producers made a point of telling her team that the Sony hacking fallout would be added to the four-minute TV interview.

“I expressed that I was uncomfortable. I said I would rather not add my voice to this conversation,” Adams said. “But it was clear they were drawing a hard line. That this would be part of the conversation.”
Adams said she assumed the interview would still go on even after her discussion with the producers.
“I walked away from the conversation and went up to the room to do the interview,” Adams said. “I assumed they were going to ask me about (Sony hacking). And I was prepared for that, to whatever degree I was prepared.”
Minutes later Adams was told that the interview was not going to air.
“I was informed that they had decided to pull the interview,” said Adams. “I was confused and definitely frustrated. I still don’t understand.”

The New York Daily News cited unnamed sources saying that Adams “got aggressive” in the discussions.
Adams said she did the unusual step of speaking to the producers rather than media representatives.
“I feel like I don’t have trouble standing up for myself. This was situation I chose to speak for myself,” Adams said.
The Daily Beast reported Dec. 12 that leaked e-mails from Sony Pictures Entertainment chairman Amy Pascal revealed that American Hustle stars Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence received salaries 2% lower than their male co-stars, Bradley Cooper and Christian Bale. Even on Tuesday night, Adams declined to discuss the topic when asked by USA TODAY.

“I am not going to add my voice to that conversation. Even in this room,” said Adams. “You can add that to your story. And that’s fair.”
[From USA Today]
See,– Amy is a professional, and she wasn’t “demanding” to not be asked any questions about the Sony Hack, she stated her preference and she was told that she would still get the questions. And she was prepared to answer the questions in a noncommittal, ambivalent way because she really didn’t want to talk about it. After hearing her side of it, it sounds more like Today producers were “punishing” her for simply not wanting to talk about the Sony Hack and for being prepared to say “I don’t want to comment on that” on live television.

Lil Wayne Threatens to Sue Cash Money if His Album is Not Released ‘PRONTO’
Lil Wayne is no longer playing with Birdman and his shenanigans as Joselyn would say it, he is ready to take his feud with Birdman to the next level … threatening to drag him and Cash Money into court if they don’t drop his album NOW.
Wayne has issued a simple ultimatum, in writing, no less — release “Tha Carter V” pronto … or he will sue to leave Cash Money altogether.
According to TMZ: We’re told Wayne is standing firm in his belief the album is ready to go — but Birdman still says there’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work left to be done.

Wayne and Birdman still aren’t speaking to each other. We’re told Wayne is only focused on the album. When and if that gets done, he’ll worry about fixing the friendship … if that’s even possible now.

BG and Juvenile tried to save Wayne, but he didn’t want to listen…. See where loyalty gets you?

NorCal High School Bans “I Can’t Breathe” Shirts From Basketball Tournament
The freedom of expression rights apparently don’t apply to high school students after a Northern California high school was banned from a tournament for their expected champing of “I Can’t Breathe” shirts to salute Eric Garner.

Via Gawker: Both boys’ and girls’ varsity basketball teams from a Northern California high school were disinvited from a tournament because of concerns that players would wear “I Can’t Breathe” t-shirts during warm-ups, the Associated Press reports.
Mendocino Unified School District Superintendent Jason Morse told the AP that the boys’ team was ultimately re-invited to the tournament at nearby Fort Bragg High School “after all but one player agreed not to wear the shirts anywhere on the Fort Bragg campus during the three-day tournament.”
“Too few girls accepted the condition for the team to field a tournament squad,” the AP reports.

Both Mendocino boys’ and girls’ teams had reportedly worn “I Can’t Breathe” shirts while warming up for games in recent weeks without consequence. “I didn’t even know what it meant,” their coach said. “I thought it was a joke about how I had conditioned them so hard.”
“To protect the safety and well-being of all tournament participants it is necessary to ensure that all political statements and or protests are kept away from this tournament,” Fort Bragg Principal Rebecca Walker said in a written statement. She also commended the students “for paying attention to what is going on in the world around them.”
Professional athletes such as Derrick Rose, LeBron James and Reggie Bush have all been spotted wearing “I Can’t Breathe” shirts, which likely have inspired younger players to do the same nationwide.

Nike LeBron 12 “Trillion Dollar Man” [Photos]
The good folks over at Foot Locker have just shared some exclusive details about the upcoming release of the Nike LeBron 12 “Trillion Dollar Man” and all sneakerheads should take heed to the news.
Calling LeBron “Trillion Dollar Man” may be a bit of an exaggeration but you can definitely call the newest colorway of the Nike LeBron 12 that. The Nike LeBron 12 “Trillion Dollar Man” pays homage to LeBron James’ “legendary work ethic and physical gifts.” The “Trillion Dollar Man” LeBron 12 is officially a Reflective Blue/TT-Electric Green-Metallic Silver colorway.
The upper first thing you’ll notice about the shoe’s upper is the bold metallic silver colors. If you look more closely, however, you’ll notice a tech-inspired pattern on the Nike Swoosh and on the inside portion of the outsole. A bold combination of colors makes up the rest of the release, which will account for the last of the original seven colorways we saw of the LeBron 12 at shoe’s launch.
The Nike LeBron 12 “Trillion Dollar Man” will release on Tuesday, December 30, at Foot Locker, House of Hoops by Foot Locker, and Footlocker.com (starting at 8:00 a.m. EST) for $220. It will also be available in kids sizes. A matching Nike Digital Elite sock will also be available for $30.

Chris Brown & Karrueche Hit Sean Kingston's Christmas Party Together
In L.A. on Christmas, Sean Kingston hosted his friends and fam at his annual Christmas party on Christmas Day, catered by his mom and Mama Kingston's Kitchen.  Chris was there to party with his homies Sean, French Montana, and Soulja Boy:

But he also had his girl Karrueche there:
They conveniently avoided being pictured together and Kae sat with her friends and snapped pics, per usual. As for who wasn't scared to show their affection for each other:
"Love & Hip Hop: LA" stars Soulja Boy & Nia Riley were all about each other, kissing and hugging in front of the cameras.  We guess they're going strong after the reunion show..
