MAG FABULOSO! Gabrielle Union Serves Fabulousness For UPTOWN Magazine’s December/January 2015 Cover
In the midst of making media rounds to promote her brand new movie Top Five (drops Friday), Gabrielle Union found time to serve up a super fierce magazine cover.
Shot by photographer Russell James, the 42-year-old actress slays the cover of UPTOWN magazine’s December/January 2015 issue. For her cover shot, the brown beauty donned a royal blue plunging neckline Juan Carlos Obando dress, Givenchy sandals, topped off with a diamond-studded Rafaello & Co. necklace, styled by celebrity stylist Jason Bolden.

For Gabby’s second photo, she rocked all black everything: an Acne Studio jacket, a sexy bralette top by Agent Provocateur, a Azzedine Alaia skirt and bracelets by Rafaello & Co. Totally loving this look.

Gabby has dubbed this cover as one her favs. She said on Instagram, "UPTOWN BABY @uptownmagazine ... one of my favorite covers EVA.. so grateful for @jasonbolden & @adair_curtis for styling, @makeupbymario who killed the makeup and the hair guru @danteblandshaw for creating magic!!"

Recently, the "Being Mary Jane" star expressed the need of having a variety of women in starring roles, calling Hollywood very limited.
In an interview with HuffPost Live she dished, "It's very limited, period. And when you add in women of color or women of color over a size 4, women of color with darker skin tones, women of color who want to rock natural hair, it becomes more and more limited. I have not seen that change." Agreed.
The Top Five starlet’s “State of the UNION” cover story drops next week

A FAKE BOOTY AND A FAKE FACE FIGHTIN’: Lil Kim Calls K. Michelle A "Pathological Lying Psycho B*tch"! + K. Michelle STRIKES Back!
Lil Kim and K. Michelle are still beefin’! In their latest social media showdown, Kimmy is blasting the "Maybe I Should Call" singer for insisting the Queen Bee asked her to be the god mother to her daughter Royal Regin. But Kimmy is pulling out receipts, exposing K as a liar!

K. Michelle has been making media rounds to promote her newly released album Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart?. And yesterday, she did an interview with Power 105’s The Breakfast Club where she called Kim “Plastic Penny” and reiterated that Kim did indeed ask her to be her daughter’s godmother.

According to Kim, K. is straight up lying.  The Quen Bee says when she met K for the first and only time (pictured above), she says NO ONE, including her mother, even knew she was pregnant! So there’s no way she asked the “Love Em All” singer to be the godmother to her child.

Kimmy took to her Instagram and said:

I wasn't even going to respond to this insecure pathological lying sick psycho bitch @kmichelle @kmichellemusic I got bigger fish to fry but enough is enough. I need to put an end to this once and for all. Remember this picture y'all right? . This was the first and only time I have ever met this chick. She says I asked her this day backstage to be the Godmother of my child. If what I'm about to say doesn't convince you of how much of a Looney Tune this chick is then I don't know what will. You ready for this one?! NO ONE EVEN KNEW I WAS PREGNANT AT THE TIME OF THIS PICTURE... NOT EVEN MY OWN MOTHER!!!!! So why the FUCK would I ask this nobody ass Prozac popping bipolar bitch, tripping over $50 from my girl Paris @whoisparisphillips , who is a good and loyal friend, to be my child's Godmother. Case closed. I don't want to hear about this shit again. You're done. And as far as you talking about the presence that I grace in front of peasants like you. Surely jealousy and hate is the reason why haters like you attack my image which never stops nothing!!! Cause I'm moving out here!!! and niggas love me!!!! Chicks like you who pretend to love me just really wanna be me. My mother always told me never argue with a crazy person because from a distance you can't tell who the crazy one is. So stop trying to use me as a respirator to sell whatever you got going on at the time but I am into giving back to the community so here's my charity donation to you. I heard you dropped an album and I wish you all the success in the world and I hope you sell a ton of records. Let's get ready for the new year y'all !!!! #lilkim #kmichelle #toasttoabeautifulandprosperousnewyear

Yikes!
K didn’t let Kimmy’s read go unnoticed. She popped back on Twitter with this shady response:
These two Surgical nightmares!

50 Cent Singles Out Trey Songz, Fuels Romance Rumors After Stephanie Moseley Murder (Tweet)
G-Unit head 50 Cent has publicly commented on the murder-suicide of VH1 reality star Stephanie Moseley this week and questioned singer Trey Songz‘s alleged involvement.
Reports Sohh: 50 hopped onto his Twitter and Instagram pages to post up some now-deleted remarks. Some media outlets have questioned the motivation behind 50’s comments.

It could have very well been a DM gone wrong, but we all know how 50 gets down. And it’s no coincidence that he pretty much reiterated what Trey said in his tweet and capitalized the word “love.” Prior to that Instagram, he posted up and deleted lyrics to a song titled “Smoke” featuring Trigga that he released this summer, so it’s obvious 50 could’ve made an effort to phone the singer himself if he wanted to.
According to reports, rapper Earl Hayes accused Moseley of having a relationship with Songz.
Sources connected with Hayes tell us … around 2 years ago he separated from Stephanie because of what he says was her affair with Songz. They got back together but, as one friend put it, “He was crushed and never got over it.” We’re told he frequently brought up Songz.

POWERFUL! Congressional Staffers Walk Out From Jobs in Support Of Eric Garner and Mike Brown
For all who believe that Capitol Hill has turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to the Eric Garner and Michael Brown protests that have sparked social justice conversations from coast to coast, think again.

Just this afternoon, over 150 congressional staffers risked their employment by staging a silent protest of their own, and walking out on their jobs.  They also stood on the steps of the U.S. House of Representatives with their arms in the air as an image of solidarity for Michael Brown, who reportedly had his hands in the air when he was shot and killed by officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson.

The protest included the Congressional Black Associates, Senate Black Legislative Staff Caucus, the Brooke-Revels Society, the Congressional African Staff Association, and the African American Women on the Hill Network. One of the organizers of the walkout told “The Daily Beast”:

“Black staffers on Capitol Hill wanted to do something in support of ongoing national and global protests against police aggression. Many of us felt we needed to stand with others who were taking on the issue of police abuse and do it here, where we work, even though not all of us have had that same experience, personally. Everyone I talked to has known someone who’s been directly impacted. As black staffers on Capitol Hill, we saw a stark disconnect. While we hold education credentials and broad access in the overall political system, often when we walk outside, we contend with the fact that we are seen as dangerous, merely because of the color of our skin.”
“[This was a] show of unity and solidarity… to stand shoulder to shoulder with other peaceful demonstrations.”
This is a powerful moment as these staffers who come from all backgrounds stand together to recognize that they may be apart of the political system, but that doesn’t mean they too don’t have a voice that demands justice.

New Music: Jazmine Sullivan ‘Mascara’
Jazmine Sullivan may have just come with a “Thirsty Chick” anthem!
As the songstress gears up for the release of her upcoming album Reality Show, she’s laced us with yet another track titled “Mascara.” In the song, Jazmine seems to be inspired by this day and age of “bad b-tches” who floss half-naked on Instagram for likes and follows from rich & famous men in hopes of being the next celebrity ex who snags a reality show off of the strength of who they’ve dated versus what they do.
Jaz switches things up and plays the role of an insecure woman who thinks her looks are all she needs to offer to the world.

She sings:
Yeah my hair and my a– fake
But so what?
I get my rent paid with it
And my t-ts get me trips
To places I can’t pronounce right
He said he’d keep it coming if I keep my body tight
And them b—hes stay mad ’cause I’m living the life
‘Cause I’m living the life
People think I’m shallow ’cause I’m always dressed like I’m going out to the club
But I gotta keep up
‘Cause there’s new chicks poppin’ up every day
And they want the same thing

So I never leave the house without makeup on
I keep mascara in my pocket if I’m running to the market
‘Cause you never know who’s watching you
So I gotta stay on
I gotta stay on

Peep the track:

HOTNESS! Loves Jazmine

Ryan Murphy, the creator and producer behind American Horror Story and Glee, has cast Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. Simpson in his upcoming 10 episode miniseries American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson. Sarah Paulson has also been cast as prosecutor Marcia Clark.
American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson marks the first installment of Murphy’s upcoming FX anthology series that dramatizes true crime stories and chronicles the former football star’s infamous 1995 murder trial following the death of his wife Nicole Simpson Brown.

According to a press release, American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson ”is a look at the O.J. Simpson trial told from the perspective of the lawyers that explores the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the court, and how a combination of prosecution confidence, defense willingness, and the LAPD’s history with the city’s African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt.”

Joining Murphy as executive producers are Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson (The Hunger Games, Diary of a Wimpy Kid) and Brad Falchuck, who co-created American Horror Story and Glee with Murphy.

This should be interesting!  Will you be watching?

#BigPicturePolitics: Jay Z DISCUSSES Race & Criminal Justice With NY Gov. Cuomo
On social media, you may have noticed a number of your friends or family members calling out certain high-profile celebs about their radio-silence with respect to Ferguson and the Eric Garner protests, but wait, just because YOU don't SEE it, doesn't mean things aren't happening.

The beauty of being Jay Z or Beyonce (see them meeting The Royals here) is that they can enter into rooms and spaces most of us can't, which opens them up to conversations most of us will never have.  Check the pic above, released by the Governor's Communications Directpr.  Yes, it's important to express outrage about Eric Garner on the streets of New York, but Jay Z can express his outrage to New York's Gov. Cuomo...and actually influence legislation that could be a major solution tot he problem.  Get into it. It's about the big picture folks!

A newly published article details key contributions that Jay Z has made, very quietly, because he's doing it from a different standpoint - and not for publicity.

Jay Z is met with New York Gov. Mario Cuomo to urge him to appoint a special prosecutor in the choking death of Eric Garner.
Jay has paid and is still paying for the tuition of the children of NYPD shooting victim Sean Bell.
Quietly, Jay has given financially to people working on the ground in Ferguson.
Quietly, Jay has supported justice for those discriminated against in the trans community.
Jay has paid to send HUNDREDS of high school students, who, by the way, are very often on the margins of society and actually have to have a GPA of 2.7 or below, through college.
Shout out to Jay Z for being a part of the solution from angles that are often forgotten about.   #BigPicturePolitics

Tyra Banks & The CW Network SLAPPED With A $3 Million Lawsuit By Former “ANTM” Contestant Angelea Preston
A former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant is gearing up to battle it out in court against “ANTM” creator Tyra Banks and the CW Network.
Former "ANTM" contestant Angelea Preston trekked it to the Los Angeles Superior Court building to file a $3 million lawsuit against the supermodel/executive producer and television network. Why? Well, she claims she was wrongfully disqualified after produ' an escort before appearing on the model competition show. According to The Wrap, the suit is alleging breach of contract and both intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

Angelea was an original contestant of the Cycle 14 cast in 2010. She didn’t win that cycle, but she came back for Cycle 17, which was an “All Stars Season” consisting of former contestants, to go head-to-head in a new season.
According to the legal docs, Angelea was the Cycle 17 winner and was suppose to receive a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics and a Vogue Italia magazine spread.
But that was all taken away. After taping wrapped, producers learned of her providing escort services before she appeared on the show, so they decided to snatch her title away, giving it to contestant Lisa D'Amato. She allegedly told producers prior to filming the season she had been an escort for about a year.

Angelea suit claims she didn’t break any of the show’s rules because she worked as an escort BEFORE she appeared the show. So now, she wants justice!
In a statement released to The Wrap, The CW Network is confident her lawsuit won’t hold any weight in a court of law. It reads:
“As noted during the broadcast of the ‘America's Next Top Model’ finale in 2011, information about Angelea was learned after production wrapped on that cycle that led to her disqualification from the competition. We are confident that her lawsuit has no merit.”

Her lawsuit also alleges the contestants worked under "grueling conditions", including having to "work" 12+ hours without being given a break to eat or drink.

Hmm...think she has a case?

It appears that Nicki Minaj and Philly Rapper Meek Mill maybe an item …. Yesterday, the Head Barb spoiled her fans by giving Philly’s Power 99 the exclusive first listen of the bonus cut taken from the deluxe version of The Pinkprint.

Why Philly? Because it’s the home of her frequent collaborator Meek Mill, who is also her new boyfriend.
The track “Big Daddy” is braggadocious and full of shade as Nicki warns the competition that their time in the spotlight is coming to an end. She also throws digs at her man’s exes.

OOOPS RACISTS? SONY Execs SLAM President Obama & Kevin Hart In LEAKED Emails, Kevin RESPONDS To Being Called A "Money Whore"
NOTHING is safe in the cloud!  Or anywhere else in the internet world.  NOTHING!  First, Hollywood was taken by a series of leaked celebrity nudes, now hackers are dipping into Microsoft Outlook, Aol, Yahoo, Gmail and maybe even Hotmail to expose the intimate conversations of some very powerful SONY execs.

Where folks are concerned, a few SONY execs have been busted for making some some negative and racist comments about President Obama and comedian Kevin Hart.  One even called Kevin a money whore!

On President Obama:  Sony Pictures co-chair Amy Pascal and movie producer Scott Rudin mocked President Obama’s movie preferences in an exchange.  It went like this:

Pascal: “What should I ask the president at this stupid Jeffrey breakfast?”
Rudin: “Would he like to finance some movies.”
Pascal: “I doubt it. Should I ask him if he liked DJANGO?”
Rudin: “12 YEARS.” ("12 Years a Slave)” depicted the abuse suffered by a free black man forced into slavery.
Pascal: “Or the butler. Or think like a man? [sic]”
Rudin: “Ride-along. I bet he likes Kevin Hart.”

Interestingly, Amy was a donor for Obama's re-election campaign, giving the individual max of $5000.  But we guess she had tons of other better and more important things to do than have breakfast with the leader of the free world.

After the exchange went viral, Amy quickly issued an apology:
“Private emails between friends and colleagues written in haste and without much thought or sensitivity, even when the content of them is meant to be in jest, can result in offense where none was intended,”

On Kevin Hart: One SONY exec was pissed that Kevin Hart wouldn't promote their film on Twitter, deeming him their own "whore". The "alleged" exchange...that is backed up with plenty of proof...was between Amy (of course) and studio exec Clint Culpepper, and Sony Entertainment CEO Michael Lynton. The whore comment was made by Clint Culpeppr. In case you missed it yesterday, it went like this:
"It's not as if we paid him 3M and 4M respectively for his last 2 films thinking he might be nominated. We paid for his ability to open a film which included his social media savvy. I feel like this is something that should be negotiated going into the film as opposed to after the fact. It feels tantamount to buying a car and then upon picking it up being told that the engine will cost extra. I'm tempted to suggest we call his bluff. If he doesn't do his normal routine, his film will not open as well and his brand will appear diminished and he will- in fact - be fucking himself because we have his next 2 immediate films. And then there's the social media precedent we're setting...especially in light of the fact that Channing [Tatum] is at the same agency....."I'm not saying he's a whore, but he's a whore."

Kevin responded to the "whore" comment on Instagram saying,
Tell 'em Kev

Mark Wahlberg Wants a Pardon for Past Racist Actions … Should He Get it?
*Two things about history: One, you can’t erase it just because you grow up; and two, you have a choice to repeat it or learn from it and move forward as best you can.
Former rapper turned respected Hollywood actor and businessman Mark Wahlberg probably wishes his past could be erased … but knowing it can’t be done, he’s hoping it can at least be pardoned.
Do you believe in second chances? If you do, should they stop at Mark Wahlberg?
In case you are one of many people with a short memory, here’s a little history on Wahlberg. Not the actor he is today, the former racist terrorist and felon.
Before Mark became famous as an actor in films such as “Boogie Nights,” “Planet of the Apes,” and “The Departed” – the last of which garnered him an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor, he was just a reckless teen who enjoyed doing drugs, fronting his rap group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch and being a racist bully who found a wicked sense of pleasure in activities like chasing down black schoolchildren while yelling racist slurs and throwing rocks at them; and beating people up (nearly blinding one man) just because, well, just because they weren’t white.

Wahlberg did some time for these activities…he served 45 days of a two-year jail term. I don’t know the details…Good behavior, Ya Know white privilege.

Don’t believe me? Get the rest of this story HERE
